Okay... for the last god knows how long. I've been trying to make a solid connection to a router so my dad won't bug me every 5 minutes wanting to use MY computer to check his NBA stats and shit. though sadly the occurrences with the routers are pissing me off.

the router either

1) Absolutely REFUSE to work at all no matter what I do

or

2) they work... but after a while they decide to start having problems from working slow to not at all.

number 1 happen to the recent router we bought. the router was a D-Link DIR-655. I've been working to try to get this router working since last night to the point my dad woke up and told me to go to bed. and i worked on it before i posted this topic

TRIED DOING THE INSTALL WITH THE DISC. GUESS WHAT? DISC HALFWAY INTO THE INSTALL THE INSTALL CRASHESand keeps crashing

Tried doing manual install without the disc... Internet doesn't fucking work.. AT ALL... and when i tried to repair the connection using the wizard on windows it saids it's a DNS error and cannot fix it.. so after 2 hours working on it last night and a hour today i pretty much cuss the fuck out of my router, unplugged the connection, and put my connection back to modem only...

I had it to fucking here with my luck of routers and it's getting irritating they either refuse to work or only work when it feels like...

Intus had a thing that would track the IP addresses of the visitors to the forum, but that never really answered the question as to where our members are actually from. I estimate that 2/3 of the group are North Americans, Most of the group are American, Canadian or British, but there are also quite a few from the Benelux Countries, Scandinavia, and Germany.

I put some options in that may get 0 hits, like Portugal, Spain and Russia, I seriously don't know if we have members from these countries or not, but it's a possibility as there are a lot of them in the community.

And I ommitted some rather large areas like Italy, Japan, Korea, etc because I myself have rarley met people on SL from these places, which is why they are under "Other region not listed"

If you are from a country in Europe or South America that is not listed, for example Poland, select "Europe (Other)"

The great revealing

Greetings for you all !

Ever since I have joined the Ordo Imperialis, lot of people have been IMing me about the my name and I figured out I should reveal the truth about the name in public instead of answering to all of you separately in IMs. It`s not really a shocking truth, but it might shake your world and give you one of those "OOOOOOOOOOOOOHH ! I GOT IT !" -moments.

Let´s start with the name "Awanken". No, it`s not a finnish word. I don`t think it`s a real word in any language. It doesn`t mean sauna like was suggested before (Sauna is definately not homo btw >:C. There is nothing more cool then lot of people sitting in a hot room, whacking themselves with branches and yelling "PERKELE!" from the bottom of their lungs ).

The origin for the name "Awanken" started when I needed a new name, something I thought I would use inside furry communities and forums. It started with a simple word fiddling from the word "Awake" (OMG ENGLISH WORD ?!). "Awake" turned into "Awaken" and then I realised I could make people think if I just add one more letter, N... Therefore, Awanken was born. At this time I was fully aware how the people would think of this name but it was funny to follow peoples reactions to the name. Nothing is as satisfying then make people go "OMG WTF WUT ?".

The last name Wasp. Well, when I joined Second life I had to choose last name. From all the available last names I chose "Wasp", because it`s also the name of old school heavy metal band. No, i wasn`t thinking those flying angry things that dies after they sting you, but after I made the account, I realised the combination of the name and was all like "Umm. lol, okay" and it stayed. Awanken Wasp was born !

NOW, during my stay in here I have also realised something. This name can divide people into 2 groups and I shall tell you more about them. You might even realise belonging into one of these groups.

Group 1: Those who see the name as "A W A K E N".
People, I´m sorry but you are blind. But atleast your mind is pure from all the harm if you just skipped your way straight into this section of the post. Lucky you :)

Group 2: Those you see the name as "A W A N K E N" and immediately think the wors by changing the last letter to R and separating the first A from the other letters.
People, you are DIIIIIIIRTY ! But atleast your eye sight is fine ! I love you guys !

Hopefully Aryte isn`t assembling a electric chair for me and the group 2 after this :C
