    Xoza, Imperator II

A very sincere congratulations to Xoza. After a rather prolonged discussion and a vote amongst the officer cadre, Xoza was selected as the candidate to fill the role of Imperator (SG-6). I have accepted this appointment. I have known Xoza as an individual of unquestionable merit and honor. It genuinely pleases me to know I am able to hand off the reigns to someone I can trust to do the right thing and to make the hard decisions when necessary. The path ahead is one that I see paved with opportunity. The Ordo can only benefit from a proactive, energized leadership. You most certainly have that in Xoza.

The materials listed herein are available for public view and shall be treated as unclassified. All registered members and potential applicants to the Ordo Imperialis are expected to understand and abide by the contents of this document. Questions relating to materials may be directed to the presiding Tribunus officer corps. Individuals wishing to pursue enlistment within the Ordo Imperialis are encouraged to read this document in its entirety. After which, an application may be found at the following web address: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?app=groupjoin ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▶ Chapter II: Getting Started The following chapter outlines the basic experience and expectations that an applicant to the Ordo should be prepared for. ➡ Mission of the Ordo Imperialis The Ordo Imperialis is a professional grade virtual military combat organization. Founded originally as part of the Second Life Military Community, the Ordo has over six years of experience in combat gaming. The Ordo aims to provide a regimented, respectful atmosphere for anyone wishing to serve within a stable, efficient group. Personnel of the Ordo are to hold loyalty to one another, honor, discipline, and dedication to the highest of regards. All members are expected to serve within whatever duty assigned with pride and distinction, without exception. The Ordo’s slated goals are to exert military excellence at all times, and produce a respectable foundation for the gaming community. To be a member of the Ordo Imperialis is to be part of a continuing family, with traditions and values that have been born through years of experience. From cadet to commander: every Ordo member is held to high regard and respected as a brother at arms. ➡ The Process Application: In order to initiate one’s career, the first step is to submit an application. To do so, you must access the web form: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?app=groupjoin As a general rule: an individual who takes time to answer each question on the application honestly and thoroughly will have a far greater chance of making the cut. Upon submitting a complete form, the application is put into a queue for review. Wait times vary dependent upon current loads: expect to wait at least two business days, but typically no greater than five. Most applicants will be contacted by a member of the command staff; please be certain to respond to inquiries, as failure to do so will delay or result in a failed application. In the event that an application is deemed unacceptable, a denial letter will be sent detailing the reasons. After which, an applicant will be provided the opportunity to reapply after seven days. In the event that an application is deemed acceptable, the applicant will receive further instructions and enlistment invitations. Schola: Upon entrance to the Ordo, a new member is subjected to the Schola program. Schola is, for all intents and purposes, the Ordo’s “basic training.” Schola is designed to provide cadets all the basic information that he or she will need to survive—additionally; it is an opportunity for command members to review the cadet thoroughly for any issues that may inhibit their participation within the group at a proper level. Schola is separated into several phases: each has a particular focus. Overall, Schola is typically conducted over the span of several days. Scheduling a phase may occur in two fashions: at random or on demand. Random classes occur based on instructor availability and will be announced over the group via notice. On demand classes occur based upon cadet request—to make a request, simply find an online instructor and send them a message. Induction: Provided all phases of Schola are completed at a satisfactory level, a cadet is graduated and inducted into the Ordo Imperialis as a full member. At such time, the cadet will be awarded the rank of [sG-1] and granted access to all group functions. ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▶ Chapter III: Divisional Structure ➡ [CENTRAL COMMAND] -- [special Warfare Operations Command] -- [Office of Military Intelligence] -- [Office of Military Justice] -- [Office of Training and Doctrine] -- [Office of Information and Technology] ➡ [bATTALION COMMAND] -- [COMPANIES A - D] A - C: COMBAT PERSONNELD: SUPPORT / SPECIAL SERVICES➡ [COMPANY COMMAND] -- [PLATOONS A - D] A - C: COMBAT PERSONNELD: SUPPORT / SPECIAL SERVICES➡ [PLATOON COMMAND] -- [FIRE TEAM A - D] A - D: COMBAT PERSONNEL➡ [CENTRAL COMMAND]: CENTCOM provides strategic and administrative oversight to all community chapters within the Ordo Imperialis. Honor and Devotion

I first wanted to say that this is going to be me rambling about some might consider nothing important but I just thought I would share. I have not slept yet tonight and while awake I thought of the most important thing I could pass on. For those that do not know I am the mother of a now 11 year old. When I first joined Ordo I just thought it was a guild on a game. I have since found a gaming community followed by a family. I didn't know that people could actually care as much as I do about others online. I was sitting in the TOR channel one day and Xoza mentioned the codex and I had never bothered to read it before and I'm honestly glad he did. When I read it at first I skimmed it and then something caught my eye. ➡ [Title II] Standard of Brotherhood It shall be the expectation that members of the Ordo Imperialis support other members of the Ordo Imperialis against the actions or accusations of outsiders. It shall not be acceptable to aid or abet others in seeking the detriment of another Ordo member. ➡ [Title III] Standard of Respect Members of the Ordo Imperialis must afford all individuals, whether another Ordo member or not, appropriate reverence and politeness. It shall not be acceptable to demean or attack others in a malicious manner. ➡ [Title IV] Standard of Integrity All members of the Ordo Imperialis shall be expected to exhibit sound integrity in all interactions. This includes, but is not limited to exercising sound decision making and exhibiting honesty. These three things caused me to stop and head right back to the beginning and read it from start to finish. When I was done with it I had decided to start applying it not only in the games I was playing but outside of it as well. I applied it to my life outside of the internet. Everywhere I go I apply the 9 Titles that have been laid out before us to the best of my abilities ( within reason that can be applied outside of the internet ). I have even go so far as to start instilling them into my daughters life. I never thought that when Jundani recruited me that I would be doing this almost 9 months later. I guess in all my ramblings in this post is a big thank you to all of you here at Ordo for not only helping me improve my life, my daughter's life, but also helping me improve the lives of those around me by leading as an example of what a honorable and devoted person should be. Much love and thanks, Kullastia ( Ren )

    I am old and grumpy.

Act 1, Scene 1. Stage set, action. Jim Herbst, leader of the Alliance Navy, bet me $L10 that I couldn't keep Shadow Keegan in check. For those that knew Shadow, they certainly would not have taken the bet. Even for such a token, minor amount. The guy simply didn't know what "moderation" meant, so when faced with insult by the Alliance leadership, he was expected to explode into firey brimstone. Being the new guy, I did not know better. I was just the group's diplomat, pretending I had some notion of what Second Life was and who all these people wearing gaudy prim uniforms were. As the picture demonstrates, I apparently knew enough about human emotion to convince him to one up the AN by keeping it cool. At the time, I would never have guessed but a couple months later I would be standing dead center in what amounted to a coup. Shadow's wo(man) decided to try to toss him out, vying for the virtual throne. Long story made short, things did not go as planned. Some fella named Ethan Schuman planted the bug in Shadow's ear that rather than bowing to her demands, it would be a glorious "fuck you" to appoint a successor. Except, not many people came to mind. The senior leadership was a motley crew. But there was this one dude who was quiet, had a good rapport with the troops, and avoided the petty dramatics. I about shat bricks when I was standing next to Ethan (his 80's Rambo bandana waving majestically in the air), preparing to wave good bye to the crazy Second Life military community, only to find out the collective had appointed me the new head honcho. So began eight years of kicking in doors, creating ripples, and doing great things with (literally) hundreds and hundreds of amazing people. Someone snuck something in to their history lesson on Rome. I laughed so hard. Over the course of my reign, we did a lot of great things. I am proud to say the Ordo Imperialis set the tone for the SLMC. From dawn to sunset, we were at the center of the political whirlwind. There is no doubt that I had my share of failures, but in every occasion, someone from this group had my back. We saluted the flag, and drove on. People made the strangest stuff for me. I love it. I could not possibly begin to even count the number of disasters, attempts to destroy us, and accidental sim returns that we waded through. I would like to believe my leadership had something to do with that, but at the end of the day (and I will say this again), it was and will always be the composition of the team that gave us strength, not the name at the head of the crowd. Every accomplishment is and was yours, while every failure remains mine alone. Take that, embrace is, and drive forward. No one should harbor anything less than respect for the individual beside them. Tournament team, 2006. We had (and have) a lot to be proud of. We were the largest, most trained, and most dynamic institution. Our territory exceeded every other group's, bar none. At one point, we stood as the sole superpower, exercising overwhelming air superiority and combined arms capability. In fact, the vast majority of our problems came from simply being too critical about ourselves. 2012! But that is part of what set us ahead. As an institution, we put a lot of focus upon ensuring our actions are calculated. I remember when officer meetings would push two, three hours in length simply because we would debate nuances about actions that lasted all of five minutes. Hell, to this day, the officer cadre burns a huge amount of its time simply discussing a situation out of concern of ensuring the Ordo's membership is properly represented. I would not have it any other way. While I might believe we sometimes fret over the silliest things, I would rather burn the midnight oil knowing we'd made the right call for you all, than to live with the knowledge we'd taken the convenient choice over the correct one. 2011! It is this commitment to the organization that has brought so many of us together. Flying some eight hours to spend a weekend with a few folks over beer and bad antics? That says something. I mean, it might very well have simply been the opportunity to torment the living crap out of Huttser in person. But, I will at least pretend I had alternative reasons. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Hanging out with the Ordo outside of the "working environment" has always been one of the most enjoyable adventures in my memory. Several of your current officers are in his picture. I am the one with two beers. Because . . . #yolo? Life has been one hell of a ride. I literally grew up with the Ordo. I started with the group about the time I entered college at the age of 17. I am 25 now, in the midst of my career. You all have made an incredible impact on me. Not only have I had the honor of making so many irreplaceable friends, but I have had the real and lasting opportunity to gain experience that has empowered me to achieve a life goal. 2007 group picture. I think. Look at Firefox to the far right. And Tsume in the center. Old. For anyone who has run around with the group for a minute or two, I am just preaching to the choir with this next bit. I have known from a very early age that public service has always been in my heart. My father is a veteran, as are many of my relatives. After graduating from university, I fought and clawed for the chance to put on a uniform. Unfortunately for me, I earned my degree at the height of the financial crisis. I clawed through something like six interview processes, going so far as to fly to Dallas to compete for their department. I recall one oral board vividly. After completing the final review with the Border Patrol, the senior agent looked across to me and asked: "Are you sure you've never been military? Your answers were incredibly sophisticated." I assured him I hadn't, thanked him, and went on to find out a few weeks later the BP cut hiring due to budget constraints. Even so, I knew then, and I know now I only did so well because of a many long nights running the gauntlet with you all. Invaluable. Truly, invaluable. I have no doubt that same skill practice came to be helpful when I sat in front of three Army officers and received a recommendation for OCS. Me, after being tear gassed. Fuck that stuff. I reported for training at sunny (and fucking humid) Fort Benning, GA on August 5th, 2013. So began what proved to be the longest six months of my life. Physically, I have never been so challenged. There were a many hard days that involved crawling through mud, getting pushed off high objects, and walking twelve miles with 80 pounds of gear. On graduation day from BCT, my Senior Drill Sergeant (SFC Alvarado) pointed to me and said aloud: "One day, that soldier is going to be the commanding general." Now, while I certainly doubt that, I realized pretty quickly that he was referencing the last ten weeks of hell--during which I gained a reputation for being the platoon's moral compass. I was a friend to all, kept the group going during some of the shittiest times, and was a total badass as a squad leader (I killed our company commander, totally worth it). I learned how to do all of that from my time here. OCS was a whole different ball game. I was selected to be the company XO. That essentially meant I was responsible for the logistics of four platoons, while attempting to keep afloat during the intense academics. Every minute sucked. When I turned over the XO mantle as part of the natural rotation, the cadre commander told me "[you] set the standard as the XO." Later, during squad leadership combat lanes, my grader informed me that "[you] have outstanding command and control." Care to guess where I learned how to do that? The Ordo Imperialis. While XO, I seriously thought to myself "how did we execute gear allotments to the legions?" While preparing my squad brief, I literally made a sand table and briefed it like I walked every single raid I governed with you all. Complete with the stupid jokes and bad antics. Selfie before graduation. Because why not? Now, I am a proud lieutenant in the United States Army. I guarantee you, getting here would have been a far more challenging climb--if not impossible--without having first developed my leadership style amongst this phenomenal place. For that, I am infinitely grateful. Every long day, hard fight, and administrative complexity allowed me to build a reliable skill set in a safe environment. Your trust in me to be the individual to make the decisions has done more for me than I could have ever of imagined. This is a M109A6. This is my pimp ride. That brings me to the point of my rambling picture show. After a lot of soul searching, sixteen hour days of gunnery training, and missed ESO raids . . . I realize it is time for me to take off the laurels and hand them over to someone with the time and drive to provide the Ordo Imperialis the active leadership it so greatly deserves. It is an especially difficult decision for me to make. This is like my child. A really big, often crazy, player killing child. You all have a very special place in my heart. But you should be headed up by someone who has the time to give, not a relic of wars long passed. That is not to say I am leaving. I will still play games with you all when I have the time available. I am taking on a more advisory role. Going forward, I am going to essentially be your spiritual guidance. Rather than being the Imperator, I will be your Augustus. I expect statues, sacrifices, and the occasional gigantic feast in my honor. Joking aside, all of the financial obligations I have to the group will continue without issue. I will still make appearances when possible. I will still drink too much and do stupid shit on PS2. The officer cadre is currently working on the question of succession. I am sure you all will hear something soon. I have left it largely in their hands, but it appears the big question is currently whether or not we should be led by a council, or led by another benevolent tyrant. All in all, I am confident we all have nothing short of great things in our future. This group is beyond measure. You are all wonderful people, whom I value and thank so very much for your contributions to my life. If I had the time, I would attempt to list each of you down the line and put my thoughts. Unfortunately, that would take like a year to accomplish. So you will have to settle for a collective measure of appreciation: I love you all. Well, now that I am retired, I no longer have to be concerned about offending anyone's sensitivities by my choice of television shows. As such, I leave you with this. My Little Pony is fucking awesome.

  7. Black November - 2014 The Ordo Imperialis Anniversary November 5th, 2006; the Ordo Imperialis formed as a small group with big goals in mind. Dedicated to bringing a new outlook to the field of battle, a new soldier, member and comrade, refined, experienced and loyal to the death for the cause, his brotherhood and in the name of his Imperator. Today marks the eighth year anniversary, all the while we continue to grow, learn and march forward. Our history begins to seem endless in addition to our experience as we continue to serve under the Ordo standard. While one year closes, another shall open bringing upon a new age of soldiers whom shall burn the lands with the might of the Ordo and it’s brotherhood. Our evolution is endless, we shall become unstoppable together through any obstacle. Our ascension shall be inevitable. Train us and we will learn, challenge us and we will overcome, nothing is impossible. Join us and embody excellence in all we strive to be. Be proud to be part of the Ordo Imperialis, It has come a long way and has much more to go. It takes continued dedication and devotion to build strength from every one of you. Welcome to another year of the Ordo. Fly the banner high with honor and crush thy enemies underfoot. "To you, soldiers of the Ordo Imperialis, old and new. Never forget the dignity and grace in which you enter combat, never allow yourself to waver or to lose yourselves to lesser emotions such as anger, envy, or hate. Always proudly bear your armor, and never sully it. Stay true to the tennets of the Ordo Imperialis, to your allies around you, with whom you serve every day. And without, there would be no Ordo to serve in. " - Taffa Markova

  8. Welcome to the Ordo Imperialis gaming community, if you are new here, we hope you will fit right in! Here is just a little review of our customs, courtesies, codex and structure. In the past, the Ordo Imperialis was a very structured, heavily ranked and activity based. While some of us ‘old people’ are nostalgic to those days, since then a lot of it hasn't entirely been needed. Today’s Ordo evolves based on our community, our members interests, all of you. With the continuous movement of members, we need to remind everyone about the standards we hold and how our current structure works. In the Ordo we will train you, we can guide you but we are not here to give handouts, what you make of this community is yours and we'll do everything we can to support you. Anyone here can achieve anything when they put their time and dedication into it. With you we will always aim high and encourage everyone to do the same. Our goals will always to be something greater, from more members and leadership to chapters, activities and games. What will you do to enhance your membership and contribute to this goal? Our structure here is pretty simple. It is based on levels of time in service and contribution from chapter to community levels. We don't distribute or earn rank to hold it over others or use it as a supervisory position, but as a leadership position to better identify who does what. On occasion though we do unfortunately need to remind individuals to represent themselves and our community professionally, everyone's here for a reason, let's make it the best. Chapter staff and leadership help support and cover their game or division. These individuals also hold a form of community staff position because of the connection they have with our members and the administration. Staff and administration are all in their position for a good reason, they are part of a bigger picture and have dedicate their service to that image, to a greater community for all of us. I currently hold the title and role of Imperator, the sole leader of the Ordo Imperialis community. I stand along side with Imperial affairs, essentially our HR, and the administration, unbiased and professional on all levels. We may not always seem like a friend and many may not know each of us individually, but we are not your enemy and we work to get to know you. Don't keep from us, we really want to know what we can do and would like to get to know everyone. Every one of us are here for every one of you, you are not just a number here, we make sure everything is working to the best ability in interest of the community as a whole. While we highly encourage the use of the chain of command from chapter to community, every one of our staff members have open door policies. This gives all our members the ability to discuss interests, ideas or concerns with any of us at any time with utmost discretion as needed. In addition you can use the 'Contact Us' link at the top of the forums to contact myself or Imperial Affairs directly. We are who we are, we are all different, have our own personalities, preferences and interests. Here in the Ordo Imperialis though, we all fly under the same banner. We are a brotherhood, we fight, we serve and we live for Ordo, our members and our comrades, this is one of our longest standing strengths. This is not a one person army nor is it where one is here to slave for another. We need to stand together, respectful, opening and welcoming of everyone, look after each other, we're all here to game together and have a great time doing so. For anything else, let the staff sort it out. - TL;DR Authority - Every group has structure, we have a pretty simple one. Talk to your chapter leaders and up from there depending on topic. Your leaders will always guide you in the right path and help you out. Brotherhood - We're all Ordo here, it doesn't matter who or what you are, we don't discriminate. We all support each other loyally under the banner of the Ordo Imperialis and shall not aid in detriment of others. Respect - We respect everyone, even if we're crushing their skulls in. Representation, reverence and politeness on all levels. Gaming should be an enjoyable experience on all sides, even socially. Do not demean, discredit or attack others in a malicious manner. Integrity - Lying or deceit of any type is not beneficial to anyone. We all need to be able to trust in and count on each other equally. Order - Present yourself professionally and mature at all times to provide a consistent atmosphere for all. Disorderly conduct, fighting or arguments are not permitted. Information - Keep in touch with posted boards and information as much as you can. Distribute information responsibly to only those it is intended for. Communication - Talk to us about anything and let others talk too. Hold a respectable standard for yourself and others depending on activities or discussion. Community - Be respectfully and constructive of all topics, keep a friendly community atmosphere. Avoid controversial topics (such as religion and politics). Aim to hold a general rating of PG-13. Allegiance - Fight along side us, not against us. Stand with us as the most loyal to the community and its members though any battle and we will always stand with you. Merit - Honor and reinforce one another, be supportive of positive actions, compliment or provide constructive criticism to better improve our members and the community. Work together and include everyone you can without bias. - TL;SDR Play nice, be respectful, be loyal, support each other, we'll support you, have fun and let others have theirs or GTFO.

  9. The new reputation system is pretty cool. If someone makes a good and useful post, you can show your support to their efforts and bump them up a reputation point. It really adds up over time if everyone participates. If someone makes a not so helpful post, or flames, spams, or degrades, you can down their reputation! I drew a vector directional field to help visualize the experience.

  17. On behalf of the office of the Imperator of the Ordo Imperialis, we regret in empathy to report the loss of a valued member. Bizfand enlisted in October of 2013 looking for a mature group of friends to game with. He proudly served on the battlefield of Auraxis, bravely ventured new worlds and explored distant stars at our side. His service with us will not be forgotten, he will be missed. A soldier, a comrade, a brother. With loyalty and honor, we bid him farewell.

  19. A handy little guide I was working on today between alerts. Still finishing it, but I thought I'd post it now to get feedback. Since Infiltrators are now much more viable with the changes to Nanoweave, I've been playing them a lot - to great success. I'm probably not the only one who was hoping PU2 would revitalize them, and it most certainly did! It had fancier formatting, but the forum ate it, so this is a tad messy. Table of Contents 1.0 - Knowing the weapon [WEPN] 1.1 - Bolt-Actions [bOLT] 1.2 - Semi-Automatic [sEMI] 1.3 - Scout Rifles [sCOU] 1.4 - Submachine Guns [sMGs] 1.5 - Grenades [GRND] 2.0 - Positioning [POSI] 3.0 - Targetting [TRGT] 4.0 - Behind Enemy Lines [bHND] ======================== 1.0 - Knowing the Weapon [WEPN] In short, every rifle has subtle differences between them, and techniques which might work for one particular rifle may not work for another. Even rifles in the same category have noticeable differences which can require changes to your playstyle to get the most out of them, especially amongst bolt-action rifles. Generally, as a sniper, you want to kill enemies in one shot. Bolt-actions are the only weapons capable of one hit kills in the game, though their efffective range differs - some can kill enemies out to 300m, others are only effective within 50m. Semi-automatics are more difficult to use, and generally less rewarding at long range, but can be used as impromptu battle rifles, especially the short range KSR-35. If you play a more aggressive style, the semi rifles may be preferable, or even the scout rifles. ======================== 1.1 - Bolt Actions [bOLT] Bolt-actions come in four different varieties for the Terran Republic - none of them are unlocked by default, though players with the Alpha Squad package start with the handy SR-7 bolt-action. It is highly encouraged that, if you want to snipe, acquiring the SR-7, or better yet the RAMS, should be your first weapon purchase as an Infiltrator. M77-B The M77-B is, well. Meh, at best. It is essentially only around for a completionist to Auraxium. While it has the fastest reload speed of the three long-range bolt-actions, it sacrifices muzzle velocity and has to deal with a significantly higher bullet drop. You'll generally want to keep the stock scope, and while you can headshot enemies out to 250m with it, you should trend towards picking targets within the 100-150m range (from one Tower landing pad to the other) in order to hit them reliably. 10x+ scopes are overkill. SR-7 The SR-7 is, again, 'Infiltrator's First Bolt-Action'. It's well-balanced, and only gives up a tenth of a second in reload speed over the M77-B for a significantly higher effective range. Like other sniper rifles, it comes with a high power scope by default, and the scope can not be removed. This particular rifle can one-hit any enemy within 250m. Generally, in heated engagements (24-48v24-48) you will be able to kill anyone that renders around you. The main drawback to the SR-7 over the RAMS is a slower muzzle velocity, making those long-range kills a bit harder. For attachments, because of the average velocity, 12x scopes are not exactly useful - you'll have to arc up to the fourth or fifth dot in order to make the kill at those ranges, which is NOT very convenient or easy to get a hang of! RAMS .50 The big daddy of TR sniper rifles, and definitely the marksman's choice. Boasting the highest muzzle velocity and the longest effective range, the RAMS also has the fastest chambering time of the three rifles. The only drawback is that the RAMS has the longest reload of the three, clocking in at a whopping 5.6 seconds when reloading an empty magazine. While using the RAMS, if you see an infantry unit, you can kill it - it is a one hit kill to the head out to render range! As a result, you can hang back significantly farther then most other Infiltrators, and can use that valuable 50m gap difference between other bolt-actions to snipe with impunity. As a result, the RAMS gets the most out of high power scopes - you can generally decide which one based on your preference, or the situation around you. It is, however, important that you bring a suitable sidearm when using the RAMS - you will not be able to defend yourself if you are ambushed using the RAMS. The Repeater is a good sidearm just for that kind of situation. TSAR-42 The only bolt-action rifle available to TR that can use regular 'assault rifle' optics. This is for the cocky, and supremely skilled to use. The most important thing to take note of is that the rifle has terrible spread while firing on the move, even ADS'd, so it is not like the DMRs available to Engineers and Heavy Assaults. Another thing to note is that it has no scope sway, and can headshot out to 200m - you can comfortably use a 4x scope and engage enemies at mid-long range with lethal effectiveness. However, being a bolt-action rifle, getting into any kind of major gunfight with it is discouraged, and it is best used to pick off stragglers and loners attempting to flank a friendly position. The TL;DR M77-B is alright for beginners, but upgrade to the SR-7 or RAMS ASAP unless you want the Auraxium. Effective out to 250m. SR-7 is a good starting point for Infiltrators, but the slow chambering speed encourages careful aim. Effective out to 250m. RAMS is the preferred marksman rifle, with the highest muzzle velocity and fast chambering speed, but the worst for mid to close range engagements. Effective out to render range. TSAR-42 is an oddball, and effective in mid-long range engagements only, due to a lack of high power scopes. Effective out to 200m. ======================== 1.2 - Semi-Automatic [sEMI] Semi-autos are the bastard children of the Infiltrator class. They're essentially accurate versions of the DMR used by the Engineer and Heavy Assault - as a result, they do very poor damage, and are not capable of OHKOs like the bolt-actions. I am really only covering them because TR Infiltrators start with one. 99SV The standard issue sniper rifle for TR Infiltrators. Much like the M-77, drop it like a hot potato the moment you have the ability to purchase the SR-7 or RAMS .50. The main pro to the 99SV is that it has decent muzzle velocity and a large magazine. That's really about it. It's generally only effective in fights where you would be using DMRs with your Engineer or Heavy Assault, and the lack of versatility hurts it severely. Only if you are a completionist should you give this any more time then the absolute minimum needed to get an upgrade. KSR-35 This is slightly better, essentially behaving like a 99SV without the drawback of unnecessarily high zoom optics and scope sway. It can be used similarly to a TSAR-42 as a high power battle rifle, but can't get one-hit headshots. It is, however, a slight upgrade from the HSR Heavy Scout Rifle. Generally, you can use this at any time, but it is highly preferable to use a decent 2x - 3.4x scope so that you can engage targets at a safer distance. ======================== 1.3 - Scout Rifles [sCOU] HSR-1 The HSR-1 is essentially an Infil-only DMR, with similar performance to the AMR-66 available to the Engineer and Heavy Assault class. Aside from slightly higher move-accuracy and better hip-accuracy, however, you may as well stick with the semi automatic sniper rifles. Really just... redundant, and not worth the investment unless you are a hardcore completionist. SOAS-20 Do you like the T5 AMC? You doooo? Good. The SOAS-20 is essentially a carbon copy of the T5 AMC, but with even less horizontal recoil to worry about. The only drawback is the lower magazine capacity and no Advanced Foregrip unlock, but it's a fantastic choice for an Infiltrator that likes to get their hands dirty but don't want to use our crappy SMGs. Definitely preferable to the N7 PDW for short-mid range engagements. The Compensator / Suppressor choice is important, however. Suppressors have a very negative impact on ASRs like the SOAS-20, so do be careful - you're cutting your effective range by almost a third and losing a ton of damage. The Compensator is the better choice, provided you know where your next move will be. ======================== 1.4 - Submachine Guns [sMGs] Armistice The only real redeeming weapon in this field is the Armistice. With a blistering high rate of fire, the Armistice boasts the highest DPS in the game. However due to the inaccuracy and recoil, you will need to use the entire magazine to kill your opponent. It has terrible ammo economy, and has a razor thin margin of error compared to the other first-gen SMGs. With the laser nerfs, extended magazines are almost a necessity on this gun, and it doesn't gain much benefit from any of the muzzle attachments. Hailstorm At the other end of the DPS spectrum is the Hailstorm. The weakest of the six Empire SMGs, the Hailstorm barely even outguns the NS PDWs. The high magazine capacity is, frankly, not worth giving up a huge chunk of DPS. A beginner's SMG at best. Avoid. NS-7 PDW The PDW seems like a dream gun for the Infiltrators, but really, it's redundant and more or less a 'meh' gun. The only SMG weaker then the Hailstorm, its main advantage is the damage fall off and virtually lack of recoil - it packs a decent punch against other SMGs outside of close quarters, but it's easily trounced by the automatic scout rifle in almost the same range bracket due to the gap in DPS and accuracy. It has a niche role, but a good Infiltrator will not really plan to be in that niche - you're not going to be engaging every target from behind at precisely 32m away. MKV-S This weapon looks on paper to be pretty terrible, but it is an upgrade from the NS-7 if you prefer to keep your weapon suppressed - its muzzle velocity and damage fall off are both superior to all of its predecessors after suppressors are factored into the equation. It can even outpunch a suppressed ASR at most ranges to boot, and the higher RPM puts it just a smidge under the Hailstorm for damage output. If you prefer using a suppressor or liked the NS-7, in short, the MKV is perfect. ======================== 1.4 - Grenades [GRND] Decoy Grenades are generally useless. If you're being stealthy, it alerts everyone. If it's a gunfight, no one is going to even notice. Save the 150 certs. EMP Grenades on the other hand are incredibly valuable in a teamwork aspect, and especially for Saboteur types, however it requires coordination. EMP Grenades essentially strip all shields off of enemies and friendlies alike, shut down any active abilities - namely Heavies' NMGs - and are generally very unpleasant to be hit with. A Saboteur throwing one in the backdoor while the squad pushes in through the front can make a meat grinder into a one-sided demolition derby. If you cert into them, just take care in throwing them around, and make sure you or someone else can take advantage of the enemy's vulnerability, otherwise it's a waste of infantry resources. ======================== 2.0 - Positioning [POSI] It should be obvious at this point that Infiltrator weapons are not suited for fair engagements. The entire point of playing Infiltrator is to play dirty. Shoot enemies in the back, engage them from ranges they can only harmlessly pepper you with bb pellets at. Never give them the chance to set the terms for engagement. There are some basic key guidelines to remember for both snipers and saboteurs. 1. Engage at Range - Remember the effective range of your primary, and stick to it. Don't go into a building with a RAMS, and don't try engaging in close quarters with a TSAR. Don't try to pepper them ineffectually with a SOAS or PDW either. If enemies are barely within render range, odds are your M-77 and SR7 will not be effective either. 2. Flank - Never engage head-on if you can. Rookie infiltrators will always keep their focus on the front line, which leaves them more likely to be attacked by other rookies, or becoming collateral damage to the copious amounts of high explosives and rapid fire weapons. Try to position yourself so that you are at least 90 degrees away from the enemy, and preferably engaging them from behind if at all possible. 3. Silhouettes - Never run along the crests of hills or stand on top of large, exposed open areas - namely, stay off the damn Tower landing pads!. The moment an Infiltrator breaks the horizon line, every other Infiltrator can see them, and most of the hapless schmucks engaging in close combat will see you as well, and adjust their own positions accordingly (if an enemy Infiltrator doesn't just pop your head off). Use ravines, trenches, and ditches to move from position to position. If you need to crest a hill or ramp, turn on your cloak before you do. When you're settling into snipe, make sure you have a background behind you to help blend in against. 4. Blend In - Not with the enemy, but with the terrain. Use shadows and obstacles in the terrain to blend in. The cloak is not 100% effective, but if the area behind you is varied and detail-heavy, you will be much more difficult to pick out then a cloaker running across a plain road or wall. 5. Know where to go - Before you even take your first shot, familiarize yourself with potential escape routes. Know which ways lead away from the enemy, and which leads to a new vantage point. If you get caught and don't know where to go, you're as good as dead. ======================== 3.0 - Targetting [TRGT] The most important thing about Infiltrators is accuracy. If you don't have good accuracy, you're going to die, a lot, and you are not going to have fun. Patience is key to this as well. Generally, it is important that you kill your target as quickly as possible. Hit indicators and the sound of missed bullets are very easy ways to give your position away. 1. Use the VR - Familiarize yourself with the effective range of your weapon, as well as how much you need to adjust your scope vertically. Those dots on the high power scopes are there for a reason! Familiarize yourself with how big the target is, and roughly where it aligns with the scope in order to score a headshot. 2. Start Simple - Go for those oblivious, prone characters just standing in position while they tunnel vision in on someone else. Start with them, then once you're in the rhythm of things, start aiming for the more mobile types. 3. Avoid Weavers - Weavers are the guys who KNOW you are around, and/or obsessively change angle abruptly and randomly. Wait until they calm down or become more predictable before engaging them. The last thing you need is an aware player to know of your existence and possibly position - they are the bane of Infiltrators. If you are using a bolt-action, they are generally the least appealling targets due to the difficulty involved in headshotting them from range. 4. Prioritize - Aim for medics, engineers, Infiltrators. Light assaults are generally highly mobile and not very appealling targets because of that. Heavy assaults may have their NMGs on, and can lay one hell of a hurt on you if you miss. Medics are the lifeblood of an infantry force, and if you see one vulnerable, take advantage of it. Engineers are also important - if you can kill a MAX's pocket-engi, that MAX is effectively out of commission and increasingly vulnerable the longer he goes without one. That said - never engage MAXs. Even a RAMS headshot is just tickling them. 5. Terminals - Nothing incurs as much rage as sniping people idle at a terminal of any kind, and nothing is quite as effective when your outfit is engaged in a vehicle fight! Just be prepared for the kind of furious wrath normally reserved for hackers and aimbotters if you decide to target them. ======================== 4.0 - Behind Enemy Lines [bHND] Or "What do when team pushed back?" 1. Ammo Replenishment - Ammo Bandolier is vital for any kind of prolonged flanking and sniping. The first three tiers are cheap, and give you three magazines total for both weapons. Unless you're going the 'saboteur' route and using an ASR or PDW, you should have Ammo Bandolier on at all times. You can use enemy ammo packs to reload as well, but this can be risky at the best of times. 2. Hacking - Avoid hacking terminals in major facilities unless preparing it for a major assault. It will be noticed, and at higher population areas, the risk is not worth the reward which will be quickly undone and just serve to alert the enemy that you are around. Turrets, on the other hand, are a-ok. Most people don't even pay attention to the color, but if you plan on being stealthy, avoid hacking manned turrets. 3. Running Man - aka. Pick off all the stragglers. Don't hesitate to dump ammo into the guys hiding behind vehicles or running at the back of a foot zerg. No one will mourn their loss, and if they do turn around to revive them or root you out, you just bought your friends valuable time to prepare for their arrival. If they don't, you'll be in a prime position to flank them and pick them off at will once they run into your teammates.

Over 50 European style buildingsWall-to-wall buildings enabling players to build those European streets and neighbourhoodsThree new starter mapsTunnels, one of the community’s most requested featuresA number of Asset Editor additions including the ability to import custom vehiclesA multitude of smaller cosmetic additions and bug fixes. Please note: The European style buildings are a map theme, meaning you will need to play a map in the European biome in order to see them. Many mods and (some) custom assets will not work with 1.1.0 and will need updating by their author. We have worked hard to cause as few conflicts as possible with popular mods, yet this is a substantial update and with the code & functionality changes some issues have been impossible to avoid. Going forward we aim to find a solution where we can work with our core modders pre-launch to give them ample time to adjust their creations before the public have access. Our brand manager (the handsome guy you've seen in several videos) has the following to say about the expansion plans for Cities: Skylines. “Cities: Skylines will continue to follow the traditions set by other recent Paradox releases such as Crusader Kings II and Europa Universalis IV of paid expansions combined with large updates of free content ensuring that all players, whether they choose to purchase the expansions or not, will have plenty of new features to look forward to. One of the major differences, however, between those titles and Cities: Skylines will be that minor DLC updates will be uncommon. The majority of content updates will be significant upgrades and additions. Going forward, we will focus on giving away the main features for free and improving the modding tools, while also selling major expansions around new mechanics. But we will also continue to offer free content such as new buildings and road types.” Full patch notes for Cities: Skylines 1.0.7 - 1.1.0 Features & New New: European theme addedNew: 72 European buildings in the European themeNew: Support for corner and adjacent buildings in the European themeNew: 3 maps added with European theme (Cliffside Bay, Foggy Hills and Grand River)New: Tunnels for roads and rail addedNew: Metro tunnels can be built at different levelsOptions: V sync option addedOptions: Invert Y mouse axis addedEditor & Modding Launch options: added -noWorkshop to disable Steam workshopAsset editor: Increased limit for bridge pillar countAsset editor: Hedge added to residential propsAsset editor: Added custom vehicle importingAsset editor: Added the ability to set custom thumbnails and tooltip images for all types of assets (in the save panel)Asset editor: New editable properties exposedAsset editor: Added ability to inherit building unlock milestone from templateAsset editor: vehicles have a Steam tag "Vehicle"Asset editor: Fixed cut off text and missing spaces in the Properties boxAsset editor: Water Service buildings can now have proper pipe connectionsAsset editor: Custom harbors and cargo harbors are now usable in-gameAsset editor: Custom airports now get visited by planes, like an actual airportAsset editor: Fixed issue where some custom assets could not be loaded in-game after editingAsset editor: Fixed missing texture for landfillsAsset Editor: Fixed a rare issue where holding and releasing the mouse button would not be recognizedContent manager: Introduced a new layoutModding API: Added OnEnabled/OnDisabled support for IUserMod. 28. Every 10th November, United States Marines gather.. no matter where they are deployed, no matter where they are, no matter what they're doing, and spends a few moments thinking back to our birth. Tomorrow (Monday) is the 10th of November.. the 239th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps. While Im no longer amongst my Brothers in Arms, I still try to celebrate and remember where I came from. As is tradition (and standing orders), three things take place. First, there's the gathering of Marines (Usually in formation), second there's the reading of Maj Gen John A. Lejeune's Birthday Message, and finally there's the passing of cake from the Eldest Marine to the Youngest, signifying the passing of knowledge and the torch from one generation of Marines to the next. Given that the internet is a gathering place for Marines (Many of whom are in my friends list on several forums/chat systems etc), we'll consider the first part covered. The second: MARINE CORPS ORDERS No. 47 (Series 1921) HEADQUARTERS U.S. MARINE CORPS Washington, November 1, 1921 759. The following will be read to the command on the 10th of November, 1921, and hereafter on the 10 November of every year. Should the order not be received by the 10th of November, 1921, it will be read upon receipt. (1) On November 10, 1775, a Corps of Marines was created by a resolution of Continental Congress. Since that date many thousand men have borne the name "Marine". In memory of them it is fitting that we who are Marines should commemorate the birthday of our corps by calling to mind the glories of its long and illustrious history. (2) The record of our corps is one which will bear comparison with that of the most famous military organizations in the world's history. During 90 of the 146 years of its existence the Marine Corps has been in action against the Nation's foes. From the Battle of Trenton to the Argonne, Marines have won foremost honors in war, and in the long eras of tranquility at home, generation after generation of Marines have grown gray in war in both hemispheres and in every corner of the seven seas, that our country and its citizens might enjoy peace and security. (3) In every battle and skirmish since the birth of our corps, Marines have acquitted themselves with the greatest distinction, winning new honors on each occasion until the term "Marine" has come to signify all that is highest in military efficiency and soldierly virtue. (4) This high name of distinction and soldierly repute we who are Marines today have received from those who preceded us in the corps. With it we have also received from them the eternal spirit which has animated our corps from generation to generation and has been the distinguishing mark of the Marines in every age. So long as that spirit continues to flourish Marines will be found equal to every emergency in the future as they have been in the past, and the men of our Nation will regard us as worthy successors to the long line of illustrious men who have served as "Soldiers of the Sea" since the founding of the Corps. JOHN A. LEJEUNE, Major General Commandant 75705—21 As for the third.. There's only so much you can do online. Happy Birthday Marines.. no matter where you are, what you're doing, who you're with.. enjoy your day.. remember who we are, celebrate where we come from.. watch your six and come back home safely.

  31. Thought I might introduce myself or re-introduce myself to some of you who known me from OI's Second Life days. My name there was "Heather McKay" and I served in the Astra and Officium Curia divisions from November 2008 through August 2012. In the gap of time between then and now, I've played Guildwars2 on the Stormbluff Isle server and I was an alpha player on ArcheAge from roughly May-August 2014. Looking hopefully to meet with old friends and make new friends, so here's to a successful future.

    Hey guys!~

Hey guys, I'm a new member of the Ordo Imperialis' Wildstar chapter and I figured I'd post an introduction so I'd get to meet a few more of you guys :) IRL : I'm a 21 years old gamer, currently living at my own place in Montreal suburbs (Yes I'm a french Canadian and I learned English pretty much from my years of playing Diablo 2 as a kid). I studied to work in IT Tech support, which ended up being a field of work I'm not quite interested in having my career. I've been working for two years in a alternative energy and battery business, basically I'm specialised in the installation, calculation and troubleshooting of Solar Panels and Wind Turbines, as well as the sale of battery of any kind. In Game: I've started playing online multiplayer RPG's with Diablo 2 for about 3-4 years, then moved over to a game called 2moons (Dekaron for europe/korean servers) for about 3 years as well, before starting WoW, which I've played for around 4 years. I've been expecting Wildstar for a very long time and I'm still amazed at how good the game is, I think i'll be on this for a very long time. I'm also very fund of Battlefield games for PC, I see you guys play it also and I'll probly join for a couple games! My big focus on Wildstar will be to do both competitive PvP and progression PvE, which I'll all be recording for youtube videos/montages and possible stream.

  37. Hi!!! Some of you might remember me, the majority of you probably don't know who I am. Prior to Ordo shifting from a Second Life Military to a Online Gaming Community, I was CO of Victrix (an entry level squad), XO of Evalidus (a specialized squad), and I (think?) an XO of Legion Hades for a brief time before my departure from day-to-day activities of the group to focus on my personal life, as well as a slew of other things I can't really recall right now. My history with Ordo extends into my younger years, with my first foray into the group having been sometime around 2009. Wellllll, I'd like to let everyone know they should be seeing more of me again. :~) Life has leveled out and I'm starting my Associates of Science this fall, and work isn't as demanding as it once was, so now I have a lot of spare time that I didn't have before. I'm excited to come back and see what the Ordo has evolved into. From what I've read on the forums over time and today, it looks very exciting! I see a lot of familiar faces but also a /ton/ of new ones. I look forward to meeting everybody!

  41. Some say, When they walk in formation, they look like a bunch of badasses. and their spears slice through the air so swiftly, that it actually bleeds. All we know is, They're called the Ordo Imperialis.

  44. Basically. It's what I'll be using this summer to keep going. So about those lemon bars... They were awesome. Tart and sweet but not too sweet. The raspberries were great, but next time I'll probably try blueberries because you can't have too many things with blueberries in them imo.
