Surviving in the Imperial City, for dummies!

Recommended Posts

As you have all noticed . . the sim is currently in process of being rebuilt. It will be open again in very short accord. So here's what you need to know:

1. Homepoints: set them behind the blue forcefields within the southwest corner of Titan.

2. Defense of the sim: all space up to the bridgehead is currently open for Ordo deployment; we will probably extend it to all of Titan soon.

3. No IS/Schola spawn is set up yet, but it will be soon.

4. All of the new rooms will be added soon, as will more cover. :D

Yes, the stairs need repairs.

I think the build is beautiful. I have a questions, however.

∙ Will more cover be added for both attacking forces and our defending forces?

∙ Will the terrain underneath the build be lifted to meet the structures so as to prevent issues with falling underneath the build, and to prevent attackers from exploiting it?

∙ Our old HUD goto system is outdated by the new build; when is it estimated that we will be getting an updated replacement?

∙ Will we be retaining the traditional "base of operations" style bunker system (below ground), are we operating as a fortress (above ground), or both, as with the old build?

Also, might I suggest, if we have the prims for it:

∙ Offices for officers.

∙ A lounge. It doesn't need to have video games like the VV lounge, but anything would be better than that bare-bones hangar or the all-pro, no-go armory for people to gather during the slow periods. Maybe even a TV. Hell, the Mercz had one on their front lines.

∙ And decoration in general. The old build was scant, and uninteresting. This new one is interesting but very bare, and I have a feeling its novelty will wear off quickly as we enter engagements. Ammo crates, defensive positions, sandbags, etc., anything to liven the place up a bit and make it feel combat-y.

A few other pointers:

- If asked where you are from, it's best to answer "Lower levels of Necromunda". This goes especially for anyone carrying a length pipe and doesn't look like plumber.

- Do not make eye contact. Especially with Praetorians. It's sign of aggression. It's best to back away, looking down, or to the side, with your tail between your legs.

- Lock. Your. Doors.

- While personal protection can offer a sense of security, if mugged, do what the mugger requests. Find the nearest Curia rep, afterward and report the theft.

- Make certain your life insurance is in order, before crossing a street.

- Do not, ever, take up any sort of bet with any sort of person on the street. You will lose. You will have cider in your ear.

- Neither a lender nor a borrower be, and this above all things, first to the Imperator be true: And thus as follows, like night unto day, you cannot be false unto any man.

- Don't drink the water from the tap. And be careful with local salads.

- Puff, but do not inhale.
