Currently rebuilding attachments for both the G36 and SCAR-H, and decided I would ask around since I am likely not representative of the majority of gun buyers / users.

So pick which attachments you prefer on your weapon(s), and furthermore, which weapon you'd like to see next. This will be used as reference not only for current and future TI projects, but also for my other projects under way such as the AA-12, F2000, and P90.

EOtech + Magnifier sure would be nice.EOtech even makes its own, and a few companies make a super quick flipping mount that shifts it out of the way (GG&G is all I recall at the moment).

New weapons? How about something that isn't an assault rifle or shotgun that looks relatively similar, uses the same system, or bears most of its resemblance from other currently produced firearms (like the HK416). Where are all the sniper rifles, marksmen rifles and sidearms? Yes I know, everyone loves fully automatic weapons and all, and all the more reason to look toward other such weapons.

I have yet to see a properly done tripod .50 cal. We meddled with the idea in Antesignani back in 2009, we had it down to a set up that would work with crouch. The person would have some mild HP and couldn't move without un-crouching.

I realize Omega concern has one, but lets just not talk about omega concern ;)

I also wanted to suggest the RX4 Storm, sexy rifle. :O

And also, a long barreled .357. :Q___

WHAT?!?! WHY IS TAVOR NOT LISTED?!?!

WHERE IS MY JEW GUN!?!?

In all seriousness.

We already have 4 shotguns (or 3? Keystone didn't want the W-13 finished or something, while we lack modern AR's that dont look like ass (We have the AK5, M4AXE, Rec-7 is ok), and our SMG's could use more variety. AR's and SMG's, I find, also sell the most as they are the most versatile in combat.

HK416/417: This would be difficult due to the massive competition. MTG, GunPorn, and Omega Concern (at least) all make sculpted HK416's with lots of attachments. While the scripting in theirs isnt that great, if we are going into that price bracket with a gun that already has 3 established sculpted entries, Its going to be hard.

Franchi Spas-12:Chunky, Bulky, and over-hyped. Its also pretty damn ugly. Combine these with the fact that we have all but one of the household names in shotguns covered (We have the Mossberg, Benelli, but lack a Remington 11-87 or 870), makes this an odd business choice. Maybe later, but for now other options will prove more valueable to the company.

TDI Kriss: Only about 2-3 on the market, and we can build off the LOL COD6/MW2 craze. Also, Its the TDI Kriss. The "Vector", which is short for "Super Vector", and also called "Super-V" is the name of the recoil system.

SiG 556: Not as well known as the 552, but its different from the usual stuff seen built. That will either be a help or hindrance. You can kinda get the ideas from the AK5. Its not a common weapon, but if it sold well, then a 556 could do the same. Its a very modern looking gun, but without some aftermarket rail system wont lend itself to lower attachments like UGL's and vert grips.

AUG: Always a good choice. Its the second bullpup (Enfield beat it with the EM-1 and EM2, the guns that the SA-80 family is based off of) ever created, first to be put into mass use, and is known by LOL I PLAY VIDEO GAMES THEREFORE I KNOW GUNS" people from as far back as the original Counter-Strike. Also, its a bad ass weapon with some gorgeous curves. The A3 variant would offer the most versatility for attachments.

As for attachments.

UGL's are the most combat practical because they actually do stuff!

Eotech Holosights: Even if they don't know the name, people know the shape. They are also top notch for Holosights.

ACOG: Famous, Badass, and unlike EOTech offers magnification.

Supressor: TACTICOOL!

Red-Dot: Are we talking closed ones like ELCAN and Aimpoints? Or Open like reflexes? If closed, Use where ACOG is not fitting, If Open, use where EOTech is silly (SMG's)

Just some input!

National bias in this post, lolol.

Sup.

My name's the RK 95 TP.

1113200271_IMG_7465.jpg

The RK 95 TP is the modernized and updated version of the RK 62, the standard assault rifle for the Finnish Defense Forces. With an accurate range of upwards to 300 meters, it's like an AK-47 except not everyone and their grandmother owns it. It has rarely ever starred in a videogame or movie, and is thusly a relatively unknown weapon except for those gentlemen who choose to get their groove on with firearms and other crap that makes your chest implode in a pink ball of awesome. Globally, it is renowned for its extreme durability and reliability in combat. Similar to its great grandfather (the AK-47), the RK95 operates on a long stroke gas piston system, and comes with a variety of accessories if you're that kind of guy who likes bling on his weaponry.

It also comes with a knife bayonet that can be specially fitted to a groove on the barrel, making it not only an extremely fearsome rifle, but a pike that shoots bullets. Hell. Yeah. That and the bayonet is pretty much useful for a lot of things. Like stabbing people.

The Omega Concern has great looking weapons - but so does Prefabrica and those don't seem to chip into our sales, primarily due to price and the condition of the scripting within - in Prefab's case, the lack thereof, and in TOC's case, the over-abundance. After all, TOC comes out with a new product perhaps once every 4 -5 months, and the HK-416/417 in particular is over a year old (January 2009 was the last update according to their website?).

I don't think my products will be in the same 1.5k - 3k area that TOC and GunPorn dabble in... I think I'll be content with providing a good solid build with a number of attachments and decent scripting that doesn't kill more homesteads then it does enemies.

Aside from the things I voted on, I'd like to see a GOOD AK-74M, *Being the solid black one* or a VEPR. Both could use a GP-30. As far as your main options I have yet to see a good AUG A1. I have yet to see a decent AK-74 or AK-74M on SL.

As per attachments, I often prefer a Red dot/Kobra sight. Bayonet. And a high capacity magaizine or a magazine attached to another "Like that done on the AK-101 on BF2"

I have yet to see a good Steyr AUG A1 as well, one of my favorite guns evar. I attempted and failed horribly at texturing the decently-modeled Prefabrica one :<

My personal favorite attachments for weapons (by usefulness):

  • EOTech Holosight
  • Underslung Grenade Launcher
  • Suppressor
  • Other: Vertical Grip
  • Trijicon ACOG

AUGs have an integrated vertical grip. Also, the mounting system for an M203 look horrid on an AUG, just as it does on all bull pups but the F2000, which has a special rail system for it, and the L85, which uses a special integrated handguard to mount the L17A1, which is the AG36.

I kinda like the look of the L85A1. Last i heard though, the gun itself IRL was a bit touchy at most.

I've been personally wanting an M4 SOPMOD ever since i first bought Call of Duty 4. M4 Carbine, Open-sight Reflex Sight, M203, Sound Supressor.

Also, yeah. Haven't seen a whole lot of Sniper Rifles or sidearms floating around lately. I could use a Makarov PM or an M21. Or the M40A3. Or Remington R700. I've also only seen one company make a Chey-tac Intervention (MTG).

And yes, a .50cal would be splendid to put up on the defense wall. An old Browning M2 on either a quad mount or just a pintle mount built into the wall could help keep the baddies from the flag with enough supressive fire.

The post is very much alive. I do need to tweak and update it a bit later, if not start a new topic (all of the guns listed are now in texturing/scripting phases).

As for our current projects, some of them are receiving scripting updates, but quite a few are buildwise extremely old and in need of rebuilds (SiG, Barrett, P90, etc.), hence the topic.
