  1. [17:59] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Meeting start. As a reminder: all questions, comments (etc) are to be held until given the opportunity to speak. When that opportunity is provided, be sure to raise your hands. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the meeting. [18:00] Aryte Vesperia: Statistics Members: 318 (Inac Purge 06/06/11) Cadets: 8 Applications New: 8 Accepted: 1 Denied: 2 Review: 5 Combat Defensive: 113 Offensive: 19 Allied Assist: 0 [18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic notes: all is quiet on the western front; status quo. Combat activity remains solid. TAC lost a member: ARK resigned after disagreements with CS. In other news, CS did indeed reopen and has had . . . a rough start. By rough, we mean we are not even sure why CS bothered reopening at this point. However, all the more power to them! We wish them luck. As a side note, Grand Federation and . . Steel Angels (I believe?) both have approached us for alliances. I extended our thanks for the gesture and assured them we would pursue amicable, friendly standards, in addition to supporting them when in need, but would like to continue combat. [18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? [18:01] Hollowmengitus Yifu raises hand for Terra. [18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Yifu, Ambassador of Azeroth? [18:02] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Hate train. [18:02] Hollowmengitus Yifu: For Invictus: This week has certainly been different after the Cohors A revamp, but a good different! I'd personally like to welcome each and every new member of Cohor A and wish each of you a healthy and prosperous career! For Invictus, we were fortunate to receive two new guys -- and with that I would like to welcome Dempster Duncker and Shizzerk Kostolany, I really look forward to working with you both on the field in the near future! Aside from that, all squad trainings and raids will likely begin next week on June 13th to both serve as a little bit of an orientation to those new and as well as a time to get to know everyone a bit more. That's all from Invictus for this week! [18:03] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Evalidus: Evalidus is getting off to a good start coming out of the Terra reform. All of the oaths/expectations statements have been administered and we are looking to begining squad activies in there full form next week. Stay tuned for further news! [18:04] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Insidiae.. is short! [18:04] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Insidiae has cookies, plz join. :[ [18:04] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Praescius: Good evening, everyone. With the Terra restructure that occurred on the eighth of June, Praescius was created. The primary purpose for this Century is to be an all-around, and medic unit. For those who look at the group description of Praescius, you will find the Latin phrase, "Utrinque paratus, studiose acquiro victoria quantumcumque aut minimus. Nunquam trado." Very loosely translated, it means "Ready for anything, eagerly acquire victory however great or small. Never surrender." As evidenced by anyone who has been on a raid, or even just set out to do a task, anything can be accomplished if one puts their mind to it. To close for this week, if anyone has any questions, please contact Kyra Vixen, Commanding Officer of Praescius at any time, and I will be more than happy to help. [18:05] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Saevitas: This week has marked the first week of Saevitas' formation. Preparation has already begun on a handbook and several training courses for A-5, which will focus on extreme CQC and room to room skirmishes. Both of which should be finished in two or three days. [18:06] Hollowmengitus Yifu: That's all from Terra this week. Back to you, Ambassador of Rift. [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Of Sanctum, to be exact. Sanctum. [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: And it's LORD, thank you. [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman? [18:07] Mercury: New contact: Aerus Garnet [18:07] Ethan Schuman: Not even gonna wait for me to raise my hand? I see how it is. :( [18:07] Ethan Schuman shouts: Astra's been mostly quiet this week. We've seen more than a handful of combined deployments on both the defensive and offensive front, with our air force providing support against the AN's naval assets, as well as transport, during an intense battle (that we prevailed in) provoked by two members of the Alliance Navy coming to troll our members. The Liberator continues to show its strength on the battlefield, and made a huge difference in that fight. An RCU attack last night saw us fighting against their extremely agile aircraft, which was a challenge. Officially, though, we haven't had any dedicated Astra activities like Grand Melees. This will not be the case this coming week, as all unit leads have been tasked with running at least one event. These may range from, but are not limited to, Grand Melees, air raids, trainings, and joint activities. Membership continues to increase, and with it, our training. Palaestra has been getting people trained very quickly, and thus our number of combat ready pilot grows [18:07] Ethan Schuman shouts: . Welcome to our new members. Our elite unit, Letalis, is within immediate launch. Scarlet has selected his candidates and I will be issuing final approval tonight or tomorrow, with unit activity beginning Monday or Tuesday. [18:07] Ethan Schuman shouts: The last thing that I have to mention is that Drasamax has decided to step back from her position as Aquila CO. She has done so in order to allow her to focus on her 374097309473095835 other Ordo duties, as well as allow some younger members a chance to move up the chain. Xoza Tyron has been chosen to replace her, and Fox will be choosing his new XO in short order. [18:07] Ethan Schuman shouts: That's all from us. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any additional reports? [18:08] Kyra Vixen raises a paw. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Vixen. [18:08] Kyra Vixen shouts: It's been a relatively active week in Tactica this week. A new military, Vaelkyr, has popped up in the region of Greylyn Forest, and has been placed, for the moment, as a Praepositus target. It will likely be lowered down to NCO after a while. Exercito Brasiliero has resurfaced, and has also been set to Praepositus. Their region is 'Game On': seriously. ICore Forces has also officially opened, in the region of Altair. Their information is in the Tactica folders, as per usual. Aboryum has been dropped from the Tactica radar, as their leader stopped paying for the region, as "[they] never got attacked", per the words of their leader. Silver Hawks, as evidenced by the group notices if you are a member of their spawn group, was in the process of rebuilding until Thursday the ninth. Despite the region itself not having been officially announced prior, some basic intelligence gathering backed by good old-fashioned visiting revealed that their new, full region is named 'Make It R3IGN'. As of the ninth, however, the region is fully open, and attackable. In other news, ARK has left the Anvil Coalition. We still have some slots open, so if you would like to apply to visit exotic locations, and take notes on the indigineous tribes of wonderous lands, please contact your local Tactica Travel Agents, Kyra Vixen or Acheron Gloom, or simply visit the application thread in the Tactica forum! This concludes the Tactica report for this week. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Hahah. Thank you, Kyra! [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports? [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Ok. Movin' right along. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: > Development [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: First thing first: Adjudicator model has been redone and is rezzed in front of me for everyone’s viewing pleasure. No scripting or animation has started on the project, however now that I have settled back in after my trip, I will see to it. The general weaponry style (firing wise) may change. The current system is fairly neat, but in reality it essentially is a semi-automatic assault rifle with an underslung that shares an ammunition counter. Perhaps it is cool enough to keep, perhaps not. Time will tell. [18:11] Kurama Bingyi will not comment that it's the standard assault rifle from Section 8 >_> [18:11] Aryte Vesperia points at Disembodied. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: The Pilum/SRAW and Subjugator have all been replaced. The Pilum/SRAW have been combined and remodeled in the Verutum—it’s a disposable platform. So essentially you fire it, drop the tube, and wait for the recharge before “drawing” a new one. Handy, fun weapon. The Subjugator has been replaced by the Arcus. Nothing too extravagantly different: it’s a heavy automatic weapon, just a bit more pretty than the old one. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: The Aegis power armor is still in progress. As I understand the issues with the camera locking has been overcome. The finishing touches are being added now. We are essentially in the determination phase as to what additional “special” attacks the Aegis will have. Like a melee AOE or something to that effect. All in all, it’s getting there. [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: The replacement HUD was the major topic at today’s Munitorum meeting: communications portions are complete. What we're waiting on is the replacement models for the barricade, grenades, so on and so forth. Deadline for a working model is June 25th. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: > Personnel Numbers / Percentages / Etc [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: For the sake of amusement, and, well, to clarify how we do appointments for officers, I want to show you all the basic distribution idea on how our personnel are spread out. Foremost: [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Officers – 15% / Actual: 11% At any given time, we should really have no more than 15% of the group in the administration. This includes Praetorians. Currently, we have abooout 11% (10.6% to be exact). So we’re well within that range. 10% is a good medium: just enough staffing, but not too much that there is dead weight. However, that definitely leaves room for further appointments as we develop our infrastructure further. [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: NCOs – 35% / Actual: 37% The NCO bracket is a bit higher than our slated goal, but that will even out pretty quickly as rank erosion for inactives sets in. 37% isn’t terribly overburdened. It’s not unexpected that we are fairly heavy in the NCO bracket: a lot of our active, combat elites fall into this field. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Numerii - 50% / Actual: 52% And lastly, the Numerii percentage is also pretty close to our intended goal. It will, however, definitely be a bit higher as the numbers shift. Inactive purges should keep it faaaairly close to 50%. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: What does this all mean? Nothing major in particular. I just felt it informative and interesting to show everyone our distribution plan and how it is actually working. For those of you in NCO looking to officer? There’s still space, contrary to popular belief. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Questions before we move on? [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Movin' on. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: > TS3 (> TS3) [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Over the last couple of weeks we have been playing with TeamSpeak 3 as an alternative voice platform. I was one of the many folks going “naaaay! Ventrilo is the one true king.” And then I tried TS3. To be blunt, it is pretty awesome. Now, we haven’t made a decision in finality, and we will certainly keep examining the details to ensure stability. If it starts to look pretty promising that TS3 will take over, a vote will be taken to simply garner folk’s feelings for Ventrilo and TS3. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: As a side note, Ventrilo is currently our primary platform and should be utilized during anything that really requires coordinated defense effort. There have been several raids hosted on TS3—that is fine, but be sure you keep a connection to Ventrilo, so that you are able to be reached by the OIC in the event the raid is needed to withdraw for other purposes. [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: Next up: [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: > Terra Reorganization [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: As planned, Terra has completed its initial reorganization effort as of this week. Several actions are still pending, so please keep involved if you are waiting for an assignment or transfer. As a recap, the following has occurred: [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: - Active combat personnel centralized in Cohors Alpha, while maintaining high Cohors Alpha expectations of performance. Terra will put increased emphasis on cultivating unit performance, while providing ample opportunity for those willing to push themselves to participate in combat active, combat intensive units. [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: - Cohors Bravo resituated and sized to meet two roles: B1 will house new Terra entries, providing guidance and training assistance, allowing new members to filter throughout the organization effectively. B1 command will be comprised of positive, engaging individuals who are invested in the growth of Ordo personnel. B2 will house Terra’s actives, but who are not necessarily interested in intensive combat. It will fit the needs of casual raiders or more administrative focused folks. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: - Cohors Charlie will continue its role as a reserve unit, but with oversight from Bravo command. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Cohors Alpha will now share a designated rifle, rather than individual weapons for each unit. Additionally, A4 and A5 will be receiving their UCA mods in the near future. Going forward, all Alpha units will be required to adhere to a creed of conduct designed to be a bit more intensive than the average member’s. Including, but not limited to, participation in available advanced programs—such as the ART. [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: All in all, the changes should have a significant impact in streamlining the way we operate our ground forces. [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Questions? [18:27] Kaska Czarny raises a hand. [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Czarny? [18:28] Kaska Czarny shouts: Sir, about Ventrilo/TS3: What would we do in the event we needed to do an allied assist for a group that uses Ventrilo? [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: It is particularly rare that we join an allied group's Ventrilo en masse to coordinate. Typically just one or two folks go over. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: I doubt it'll be much of an issue. [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: Any other questions? [18:31] Tsume Xiao raises hand [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Xiao? [18:32] Tsume Xiao: You mention UCA mods for A-4 and A-5, does this mean that Invictus and Insidae will keep their current ones, and A-2 will get the Heavy support mod, (hopefully without the silly purple :/)? [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: Units 1, 2, and 3 will keep their corresponding mods. [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: Any other questions? [18:33] Ethan Schuman raises hand. [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman? [18:33] Ethan Schuman: With mesh coming out in July, what's our current timeline for mesh gear update rollouts? [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: We'll cross that bridge when Mesh actually exists. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: We have some time, for once. So. Any topics to bring up? :] [18:35] Typhon Perun raises a hand. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Perun? [18:35] Typhon Perun shouts: In relation to what Kaska said earlier. In regards to allies that happen to be here visiting when we are attacked. Is there any plans for a home point to be set up for them in the near future? As they would like to help with the defense while here, so I thought I would ask. [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: Uhh, someday. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: It's not exactly pressing. How often do we actually have allied defenders? [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Annny other topics? :] [18:37] Arokh Takakura raises claw. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Takakura? [18:38] Arokh Takakura: Hopefully when we vote on TS3 vs Ventrilo, we'll vote regarding the functionality and base reliability of each client, rather than which sounds and looks prettier! [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Uh. Sure. [18:39] Ice Karsin raises hand. [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: If this isn't serious, Karsin. [18:40] Ice Karsin: It's moderately serious. I've noticed that Titan has had several simbuilds over the centuries. Are any others on the horizon? [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: Somedaaaay~ [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: We change from time to time. [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: Any last questions or topics? [18:42] Ryu Peng raises hand [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Peng? [18:42] Ryu Peng: Can we salute and leave now? :3 [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Hahahaha. [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: Yes, we're done. Good work this week. Keep up the awesomeness. I'll be around for the evening, working on odds and ends. Let's get some raids out. :] Uhmm, tomorrow promotions will be up in the morning. Unless ninjas kidnap me, ART will occur at 5:00. [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: That aside. Dismissed. [18:43] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute.
  2. [18:00] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Meeting start. As a reminder: all questions, comments (etc) are to be held until given the opportunity to speak. When that opportunity is provided, be sure to raise your hands. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the meeting. [18:00] Aryte Vesperia: Statistics Members: 327 Cadets: 9 Applications New: 20 Accepted: 5 Denied: 9 S. Review: 4 E. Review: 2 Combat Defensive: 111 Offensive: 21 Allied Assist: 0 [18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic notes: no major changes to announce. Several joint raids with EE this week. More than likely will continue with that. Otherwise, activity increasing across the board. Ordo application intake up significantly from last couple of weeks, as is activity. Will be putting increased focus on raid activity over the coming weeks, to ensure bread-and-butter of daily interactions upheld. Kudos to everyone who has been pushing; we hit our 3 a day goal last week on average. As a side note, apparently Grand Federation suffered an attempted coup. GF is rebuilding as a result. [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? [18:02] Ethan Schuman raises his hand for Astra. [18:02] Hollowmengitus Yifu raises hand for Terra. [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman for Astra? [18:02] Ethan Schuman: For those who are interested, Vegas was great. =p Astra's strength continues to grow. Every day, more interested individuals step forward and are brought into the fold. The new blood has greatly invigorated our ranks, causing activity to increase. This week has been somewhat quiet, but that's going to change dramatically over the next couple days. Sebris and Xoza have been hard at work with Palaestra, and have developed a few more exercises to make sure our pilots continue to improve their skills off the battlefield, as well as raise new ones to the high standards we have for Astra. Our two flights, Aquila and Reapers, are increasing in size with the influx of new pilots. Letalis may have taken longer to develop than I originally had hoped, but after reviewing what Scarlet and Acheron have created, I can say without a doubt that it was more than worth the wait. Finishing touches will be put on tonight, with initial selection process beginning tomorrow. For the time being, Letalis will be a task force, with members remaining in their original position. At our current rate of growth, dedicated unit status isn't very far off. [18:02] Ethan Schuman: For those who aren't familiar with Letalis (which is probably most of you), Letalis is an elite air cavalry commando unit that has the purpose of rapidly deploying to secure foward positions to allow ground assets to advance. In addition to all members being highly skilled infantry fighters and medics, Letalis members will first and foremost be elite Liberator dropship pilots. Letalis pilots will also have access to an advanced version of the Liberator, which includes features that I had intended to put in the original, such as rappel ropes, to increase survivability of infantry when they disembark, and the ability to look around instead of having a fixed forward view. With the recent restructuring of Cohors A in Terra, the mission role of Letalis will compliment that of our ground forces during assaults, allowing us to bring even more power to the fight. [18:03] Ethan Schuman: Now, I'd like to take a moment to recognize, well, ALL of Astra, for their exceptional performance in my absence. Nikki, even though she smells =p, really held down the fort. Rei and Disembodied kept the machine running, Scarlet and Acheron made sure I had a charter for a new elite unit on my desk for me to read the moment I got back, and Ookami took it upon himself to terrorize the homes of many other militaries. Sebris and Palaestra kept the training queue flowing, and Xoza had even more things to make me go, "Oooooh." Finally, the flight leaders, and all pilots, down to the last, kept their activity up and their participation high. For this, I thank you all. Those of you who know me know that public commendations from me are exceptionally rare, and that it takes a lot to earn one, but I would like to commend each and every member of Astra for their outstanding efforts during this time. You have made me very proud, and I'll make sure to show so with more than just words. [18:03] Ethan Schuman salutes. [18:03] Ethan Schuman: Finally, because of his intensive raid activity and the increasing degree to which his ambition has been limited by his rank authority, Ookamiwulf Lemton is hereby promoted to the rank of Praepositus. Everyone congratulate him. [18:03] Ethan Schuman: That's all from the flyboys (and girls) this week. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Yifu for Terra? [18:05] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Burrwolf for Antesignani: A2 Had a slow week due to recent changes inside the squad as well as preping for the new ones. [18:05] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Afevis for Insidiae: Yet another slow week in Insidiae, nothing else to report. There are still some open slots, so feel free to message either Afevis Sodertelge or Krow Ames. Please note that the Terra reform in the next two weeks will probably effect the recruiting, so sorry if we take a little to get back to you. [18:06] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Eriksson for invictus: This week Invictus has been quieter than the norm, but this will be easily remedied after the Cohors A revamp when people have finished shifting around in the roster line up. Recruitment procedures have been put to a small halt as we wait for the revamp to go into effect, but after then we’ll see how many slots we have to induct some new faces in! Otherwise, I think this was the first short report I’ve ever written! [18:06] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Thatguy for Cohors B: Going to be going through a few changes here. B-III will be dropped as a Century, members will be evaluated and spoken to as to where they will be going (B-I or B-II). If you have not read the new Terra-related changes, I urge you to do so. On another note, activity is steady and at its usual. Be sure you're keeping up to date on the forums and your groups to be sure what's going on with your Century! :D [18:06] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: That's all for Terra. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any additional reports? [18:08] Kyra Vixen raises a paw. [18:08] Keller Teichmann raises a hand. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Vixen. [18:09] Kyra Vixen shouts: Good evening, everyone. Tactica's had a change in the command structure, with the events of last week, leaving me, Kyra Vixen, as CO of Tactica. Praetorian Guardsman Afevis Sodertelge has elected to fill our Attached Praetorian slot, and as such has been transferred from the primary roster, leaving us with a few slots vacant. One new item this week, ICore Forces in the region of Altair, led by Guras Hammand and Arvid Sittingbull; thanks Afevis for the tip! Their region was locked upon last check, so they might be rebuilding. They will be monitored as time passes. Additionally, it seems Russian Armed Forces has shut its doors, and I will be taking their folder down shortly. If you would like to apply for a position in Tactica, please check out the thread in the forum for the application post. It's under Tactica, you can't miss it. This concludes Tactica's report for this week. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Guardsman Keller? [18:10] Keller Teichmann shouts: As folks are aware, Cohors A has started preparing for a major restructuring to take place in early June, reorganizing it into five units, and establishing rigid guidelines for enlistment and service in these new squads. There's a pair of notices in the Terra group about these changes, and a topic on the forums for viewing. As we near the start date, things will gradually build up until all five units are officially activated! As another reminder, the application form will be sent out after the meeting, and can be handed in to Keller Teichmann to get your name on the list! As another reminder - again - make sure you get on as many raids as you can, as this will help boost your chances of being accepted into an A unit (and those already in will also need to be active to maintain their positions). [18:10] Keller Teichmann shouts: Lastly - and I know I'm probably stealing a bit of Aryte's thunder here - gear will also be changed in terms of availability. It's entirely possible that some current and 'legacy' Alpha gear may be added to lockers as purchasable gear for general use! [18:11] Keller Teichmann: That is all. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Final call for reports. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Moving on: [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: > Development [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: A couple things to note. XR-5 released and available within the lockers. There is a commercial variant that is sold through Forge, Nikki’s company. Be sure it is understood that only the unlocked version may be utilized. [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: Aegis, Arcus, Verutum: not certain on status of these. The latter two of the three should be about ready for release, pending feedback from beta review. Otherwise, Adjudicator model is shaping up and nearly completed. The Adjudicator will be a more compact weapon in its new rendition, rather than a ridiculously large rifle thing. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: > Terra Restructure Pending [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: For those of you who have been paying attention to the forums over the last couple of days, this does not come as a surprise. As of June 8th, Terra will be undergoing a realignment project, in which we will be adjusting the overall structure of the organization. After the shift, the structure will be as follows: [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Cohors Alpha Century I -- Century II -- Century III -- Century IV -- Century V | Cohors Bravo Century I -- Century II | Cohors Charlie Century I [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: In a nutshell, Cohors Alpha unit numbers is expanding, while Cohors Bravo's unit number is decreasing. We will be putting focus on elevating our combat active elements into the Alpha level, centralizing Terra’s primary power within individual units. Prior to this, it had become common that Cohors Alpha lacked the spaces to accommodate the sheer manpower, resulting in strong combatants dispersed throughout Cohors Bravo. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: By having personnel dispersed through Cohors Bravo, each unit was forced to undertake a filter and training role, while simultaneously attempting to house non-combat actives. In short, there was a lack of cohesion among Bravo units, as combat active personnel most commonly sought elevation, while non-combat personnel were given a disservice by not really having a focused unit to associate with. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: The realignment will fix all of the aforementioned: Cohors Alpha will have the necessary manpower slots, with a diverse range of units to choose from. In addition, Cohors Bravo will be tailored to a more effective operation—Cohors Bravo, Century 1 will be explicitly a training/filter unit, providing aggressive assistance to new members, ensuring they receive all the resources required to either elevate to Alpha or transition elsewhere. Cohors Bravo, Century 2 will be for active members who aren’t necessarily “combat active;” this will provide the more administrative oriented folks a consistent, regimented unit to call home. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: As I posted on the forums: Where do you fit in? Where do you /want/ to fit in? Are you a combat active individual who wants to be involved in routine, close knit battle groups? Cohors Alpha. Are you new to Terra and are still feeling out your place, training, taking courses, etc? Cohors Bravo, Century 1. Are you active, but having regimented, routine raids really isn't your thing? Are you primary focused on building, admin, teaching (so on and so forth)? Cohors B, Century 2. Are you a "from time to time" member, who likes to pop in every so often to get some fun, but spend the majority of your time elsewhere? Cohors Charlie. [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: To be certain you are not randomly filtered into a unit, be sure to read and follow the instructions provided within the top post of this thread: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/13280-cohors-a-restructure/ [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Failing that, if you're looking for Cohors Alpha. Bug Keller. [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: > Miscellaneous Policy Updates [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Over the week, I have been adjusting policy threads to reflect changes, while adding some new stuff to gander over. Notably, be sure to take a look at the Terra thread—especially if you’re Cohors Alpha leadership or a member of Cohors Alpha. http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/9396-ordo-policy-division-terra-25may11/ [18:25] Steeltael Lykin raises paw. Or will all positions be filled via command level decision minus application of interested parties? [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Existing staff positions will be honored first. Any vacancies thereafter will be posted. [18:29] Steeltael Lykin shouts: In which case, The CO of Forexample, B-3 would be given a command position in the new Cohor's A? [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Don't let the unit #'s confuse you. They're only there for the sake of keeping the old names. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Current B1 leader could be leading B2 now. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Or vice versa. [18:29] Jeffery Worbridge raises hand. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Worbridge? [18:30] Jeffery Worbridge shouts: When will Commanding Officers be notified of their change in century/cohors. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Within the next couple of days. We'll give you at least five days notice. [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: Any other questions? Simply having someone responsible, taking accountability for troop management and giving orders to defense can make all the difference. Simply having someone responsible, taking accountability for troop management and giving orders to defense can make all the difference. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: FF [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: Additionally, there has been mention that there is general reluctance at times to take OIC because you can get “stuck” with it. Two things: first, if several people are reluctant out of fear to get “stuck” with it, that’s several people less likely to take OIC, thus making the sense of being “stuck” with it even more extreme. Secondly: if you have to go, you have to go. Simply announce it, give a few moments for people to arrange, and then bow out. If an officer (or officers) are present. IM them personally and notify them you are relinquishing it. It is their responsibility to ensure it is passed. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: THERE. Just so happens this day is also a holiday in Amercia. So. Monday the 30th will be our leisure day. Casual dress will be approved. Administrative functions will continue. However we'll spend most of the day doing fun stuff-- random musket nonsense, game day, etc, etc. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Krow? [18:38] Krow Ames shouts: I can get Agess to come play his piano for us if he's allowed in the sim on monday. If you want. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: OO. yes. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Definitely! [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Ask what's a good time for him, I'll make sure everyone's aware. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Thanks. :D [18:38] Krow Ames shouts: You got it. I'll keep you informed. [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: All righty. Promotions will be up in the morning. Feel free to send in additional recommendations until midnight. I will be off for an hour or so. Going to go grab dinner. GO get some raids on! [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: Dismissed. [18:39] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute.

We have found a couple conglomerates that have the numbers to give challenge beyond basic raid team size. So yay for that! [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? [18:02] Nikki4 Aquitaine: o/ [18:02] Hollowmengitus Yifu raises hand. [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Yifu. [18:02] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Burrwolf for Antesignani: A2 had a great week of training. Culminating in a major fight at CATI’s new sim “Village.” Was an outstanding fight and highly suggest all personal check out their new build. More training and raiding to follow. [18:03] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Afevis for Insidiae: This week, Executive officer Afevis Sodertelge stepped up as acting CO to watch over the squad in Krow's absense, and we are looking forward to welcoming Krow back upon his return. Activity has also seen a small rise this week, and in addition there are a few spots in Insidiae that are still looking to be filled. For any inquiries about how to join Insidiae, please send an IM to Afevis Sodertelge or Krow Ames. That is all for this week, You stay classy, San Diego. [18:03] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Prepare for Eriksson's pasta. It's a large bowl of it. [18:03] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Eriksson for Invictus: Another week of some major ass-kicking dealt out to many, but mainly one military in specific that was headed by Invictus! Operation Valkyrie was started late last week and has been ongoing until recent. Invictus headed an operation against the Republic of Germany (RoG) or otherwise known as Deutsches Kaiserreich Reich (DKR). As many of you might have seen whilst raiding there, they had a poster which was visible with very bad taste and was directed towards the Imperator. Now, the main motive and goal of this Operation Valkyrie was to have that poster removed -- by force. With raids deploying every day to RoG to pummel them a smack-down, some even lasting multiple hours until they begged us to leave, we finally got the message across and the poster was finally removed from their sim. Thus, the operation was extremely victorious! So major Kudos to all of the participants on that! Now, back onto the main report: Activity has obviously been booming in Invictus per the normal. Our rec [18:03] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: ruitment is going a little bit slowly, but rest assured we are trying to get through the literally massive list as fast as we can. We do have two(2) vacancies, so we are being a little picky in filling them. That being said, if you'd like your name added to our scouting list then by all means let the CO and XO, Eriksson Foxtrot and Stirn Aurotharius respectively, know! That concludes the Invictus report for this week. Thank you! [18:04] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From for Cohors B: Pr0wer Miles: This week has a bit slower than usual, most people are getting close to finals and activity has taken a slight hit. The upside is that if you find yourself in the craving of doing training you are always free to tag along fellow centuries with open arms or gather a few guys together and spar in the killhouse. Century COs' expect to have a meeting sometime either today or tomorrow and be ready to have an open think tank afterwards. [18:04] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: That's all from Terra. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Great. Thank you. Ms. Aquitaine? [18:05] Nikki4 Aquitaine shouts: Lots of raid and defense activity this week, the Grand Federation seem to be making a large appearance in the air with their fleet ships, allowing Astra to be used to it's full potential. So far the results of these massive air battles have been astounding. In one such instance a 1000hp fleet ship was utilized against us -- it failed, as it was stricken to the ground. (:D) We opted to raid instead of the usual grand melee this week but we will be hosting at least one sometime next week. As a reminder, feel free to bring your friends to any grand melee event, everyone is welcome. [18:05] Nikki4 Aquitaine shouts: Our elite unit, Letalis, is still on track for being up and ready by the end of the month. Details on the unit will soon be posted on the forum. As mentioned last week; we are still looking for members. I will be watching raid/defense/training activity over the next few weeks to make reccomendations. If you're interested in becoming a member be sure to take part in these activities as much as possible. [18:05] Nikki4 Aquitaine shouts: On a final note, Palaestra is still undergoing some redevelopment. Our new course continues to be refined and we are focusing on getting our pilots trained in the fine art of bombing. In addition to that, Palaestra will be organising some air-ground joint training in the future. That's all from Astra. [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent. Thank you. That fleet ship cracked me up. [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports today? [18:07] Kyra Vixen raises her paw. [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Vixen? [18:07] Kyra Vixen: From Corsi for Tactica: "BIG big week this week for Tactica. Lets start with base openings. BSM has finished a rebuild after complaints about client side lag in the former largely sculpted build. Cati is in a new full sim named Village and has been working on custom weapons for the group which is a nice long way to come from year and a half ago in Cati Combat. The sim should be a nice challenge for us indeed. And also if you may remember the group the Alliance Navy. They have reopened for combat as well shockingly enough so raid leaders have a great deal more places to head out to. Last but not least, Delta Force has gone through a rebuild this week with some nice changes for a different feel to the place. Board changes: Order of Light has moved from Officer to Praepositus on orders from the Office of the Imperator, Delta Force has changed from Praepositus to NCO due to the base changes. Also with now six Praepositus targets, seven Officer targets and only four NCO targets we will be taking some time to re- [18:07] Kyra Vixen: evaluate target levels this weekend to spread things out a bit more. Roster Changes: Huttser Ishelwood has stepped back from Adjutant to concentrate on Cohors A more and dedicate himself to bettering the group from a more focused standpoint. Huttser has been my right hand husky since I took command of Tactica and dedicated himself a great deal to help make Tactica what it is today. Now he can do the same for Cohors A so Congrats and thanks to Huttser. Zerowinged Vasiliev has also stepped back from his role as Tactica's attached Praetorian and we will be finding (See Reference for Kidnapping) another Guardsman soon. Reports On File: Yes BIG week this week. Three reports are on file this week adding 2142, colonial Defense Foundation, and CATI all finished this week leaving only MBC unassigned. That's all for Tactica this week." Additionally, after Corsi created the above report, the DKR and MBC reports were completed. This concludes the Tactica report for this week. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Awesome. Thank you. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Any last reports? [18:09] Tsume Xiao Raises hand [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Xiao? [18:10] Tsume Xiao: Verutum now has Animations, Arcus still needs better sounds, but I have a back up ready incase I cant get some for it by a given time. So look out for both of them. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: All right. Moving along. Lots to touch on this evening. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: I. Development [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: New Adjudicator model is modeled. Awaiting textures. After which, Disembodied is starting on a “secret project” for the Ordo. It will be really hard to keep a secret, however. You figure it out. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: 120mm Mortar scripts laid out by Acheron Gloom—great functionality and options, like the ability to “save” points and snap-shot back to them. This will give our mortar teams a good edge in area denial, target acquisition, and lethality. Additionally, Aegis power armor scripts in testing. The Aegis has a battle trial last night versus BSM—as I am told, it performed very well. [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: AS TSUME MAY HAVE SAID: Arcus and Verutum basically completed as well. The Verutum just needed a hold animation and we secured one for it last night. Arcus is just waiting on final sound decisions for the firing and reload. Lastly, the combination jetpack (I am wearing it) is complete. Mercury’s back end has been updated, allowing us to make it a “tier” item—as such, it will be necessary to unlock both the jetpack and boostback before gaining access to it. There will be a version sold through Nikki’s company, however it will have distinct marking differences and will not be permitted to be used unless this pack is unlocked first. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: II. Jurisdiction of Control Clarifications [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: I have a rough draft written up as to “jurisdiction” in the matter of who is responsible for whom in various scenarios. This should dramatically help out confusion in the command levels when it comes to cross-division memberships and when someone falls under a specific tree of control. Essentially, after reading it, it should be easy to answer “Who falls under who? What tier of command is responsible for whom? Is there a joint responsibility of punishment in certain scenarios? Who is responsible for an individual’s PRF if in multiple divisions? And which divisions are primary/secondary/etc?” [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: In short: Terra and Astra are “primary” divisions, with IEA, IAC, Tactica (etc) all being “secondary” divisions. I’ll outline it in detail, but in a nutshell, the primary division takes responsibility for most functions—so if Milites Bob gets in trouble, it’s his primary division’s job to dictate punishment and how it effects their involvement in secondary divisions. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: To even further complicate things, membership in units like Curia or the AiR place folks in a “special” category, in which the special division essentially usurps other levels of authority—so if someone is in Terra and Curia, and does somethin’ silly, it is mostly Curia’s area of jurisdiction, due to the individual’s membership in Curia. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Don’t chew on it too much—it will be in the policy area of the forums here in the near future with a lot more clarity. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: III. Inactivity / Rank Erosion [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: It was discussed some months ago that we’d be exploring “rank erosion” for inactives, while working out a more fair way to handle inactive purges—currently, we kind of arbitrarily look up who hasn’t logged on or been on base and cull the top ten to keep the Ordo close to 300 members. However, under the rank erosion mandate, things will be a bit more scientific. [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: Now, keep in mind erosion of rank will only apply to unannounced absence—so if you have to go inactive for three months to go .. . adventure to Mordor or something, just be sure it’s announced. It’s as easy as that. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Tentatively, erosion is going to look something like this (it is not in stone—times may change): O-5 to O-1 erodes to E-7 after 3 months of inactivity; E-8 to E-4 erodes to E-3 after 3 months; E-3 to E-2 erodes to E-1 after 3 months. Inactive purge will consist of E-1’s who haven’t participated in thirty days, until which time the Ordo reaches a good 70% activity rate of membership. At which time, we’ll permit the group to grow beyond 300. [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: Now, that basically gives a lot of breathing room for folks—if you’re an officer, you get like, what, 9 months until ejection. I find it fair, so as to give people a chance to change their mind before losing everything. It takes time and effort to move up, so it’s reasonable to give people an equal amount of time to go in the opposite direction. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Let’s say, hypothetically speaking . . . E-7 Bob goes inactive for 3 months and comes back on his 4th month. Does he get to reclaim E-7, or is he stuck as an E-3? He’d be stuck as an E-3 until he could demonstrate the ability to remain active. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Questions thus far? [18:26] Mark Karlfeldt raises hand [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Roazenstrauch? [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: His question: [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: [18:27] Zrazor Rozenstrauch: How does the rank erosion layout apply to Praetorians, what with the separate rank structure and all? [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: Praetorians would classify as officers. [18:28] Hollowmengitus Yifu raises hand [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: MR. Yifu? [18:29] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Does this apply to personnel that have gone inactive already? [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Sure does. [18:29] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Okay then, thank you. [18:29] Ratchet Exonar raises paw [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Exonar? [18:31] Ratchet Exonar: say some one goes inactive for about 2 and haft months, and they come back for two days, does their time get reset or do they keep the same amount of time? [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: It would depend upon the scenario. [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: Case by case. [18:32] Ratchet Exonar: alright [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent. Movin' along. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: IV. Specializations [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: As we mentioned a couple weeks ago, I’ve been chewing on the idea of specializations/load outs (etc). If you think about it, the average Ordo soldier has a determinate amount of “gear” slots—helm, primary weapon, secondary weapon, back pack, and com HUD. So that gives us five active “slots” to work with per load out. Active slots being gear that actually does something other than look pretty. [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: Inactive slots would be shoulders, boots . . . things like that. Eventually, I’d like to see the armory set up into categories and tiers—so folks would, in theory, be able to go in and select a secondary, primary, etc, etc. And for specials, like awards, potentially add in unique shoulders or other marks of honor. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: The “helm” slot is the only one that is sort of misleading—helmets are typically an inactive item. We could, however, devise plenty of “helm” like active items, or, rename it and classify it for special weapons like the Verutum—which are, for all intensive purposes, a very powerful secondary weapon. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: The idea is still rather fresh, but it is quickly becoming a prominent thought for me. I really think we could have a lot of fun with it, and, dramatically change how we handle our armory while giving folks definitive guidelines to go by with how much equipment should be attached/in use. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Questions? [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent. [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: I do believe Rykiana has something to add. [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: Rykiana? [18:40] Rykiana Ferina shouts: thank you sir [18:41] Rykiana Ferina shouts: Some of you may have seen a thread on the Ordo forums entitled "Something....." that had many small fuzzy distorted images. What most of you wont know is this is a prelude to an up coming project that is being developed by myself and Kishoshima Dragonash [18:41] Rykiana Ferina shouts: . Its a project that will tell a new Story for the Ordo and will stretch across three popular games. [18:42] Rykiana Ferina shouts: The initial phase of this project will be starting very shortly [18:42] Rykiana Ferina shouts: At this time i would like to ask for any volunteers who have skills in 3D design, Texture Work, Sound Engineering, Animations and some working knowledge of the Valve SDK's to assist in this project. [18:42] Rykiana Ferina shouts: If you feel you can contribute please get in contact with me after the meeting for more information. [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: Excellente. :] [18:44] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: All righty. Very good week, you all. Solid interactions and raid activity. My kudos. I'll be off for a bit, I am off for dinner and PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN~ [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: However, I'll be back afterwards. [18:49] Aryte Vesperia: Now. Before we break. I want to give kudos to the Praetorian initiates. They had their induction earlier today and instatement as full Guard. So congratulations to them. [18:51] Aryte Vesperia: All righty. Have a good night. Sim will be open shortly. Go kick some ass. [18:51] Aryte Vesperia: Dismissed.

[18:02] thatguy Andel shouts: Antesignani: A fast-paced and high activity week for Antesignani, with high activity across the board. The XCR has been broken in and tested vigorously, and we look forward to another week of combat and heretic slaying. :] [18:02] thatguy Andel shouts: From Afevis for Insidiae: Insidiae would like to offer a round of congratulations across the table this week for several reasons. First off, congratulations to all of you who have completed the trials, best wishes from Insidiae to each and every one of the new Praetorian Initiates. We all look forward to watching you all progress to the mantle of full guardsmen! Secondly, Insidiae would like to congratulate the Ordo as a whole for their extremely high levels activity this week, whether you are a member of Terra, a member of Astra, or even a member of the Janitorium, you all deserve a round of applause for your participation and dedication to bringing the pain to all of our enemies. This week, we have all caused the very oceans to turn red, and the arms trade to come to a collapse as a stockpile of almost completely free weaponry have amassed from each and every fallen heretic. Everybody in this room has just been given a verbal pat on the back from Insidiae, and we hope that almost every week to come can see such levels of activity which were demonstrated. :D [18:03] thatguy Andel shouts: From Eriksson for Invictus: Another extremely active week for everyone in Invictus. I can't really say I've been any more proud of the squad than I am this week. All of us will be busy today washing our armor, our faces, our weaponry and our knives as this was just one bloodbath of a week. Countless amounts of raids were deployed, countless were fought on, and countless heretics were purged in the name of the Imperator. The once brand new MCR is now war-torn. Massive Kudos to everyone in Invictus, you all have done myself and the Ordo proud. In other news, as previously mentioned, the Invictus MCR has been fully exercised this week and we, simply put: Love it! [18:03] thatguy Andel shouts: (Part 2) Another big thanks to Keller for taking time out of his week to provide us with the best. As for recruitment, we'd like to welcome Vinnie Lei to Invictus! Vinnie was recruited earlier in the week, and has actually fit in just swell to make an excellent addition to the squad! That also leaves us with two(2) vacancies left, so just express interest to the CO: Eriksson Foxtrot, or the XO, Stirn Aurotharius and then we'll get you all sorted! As a final statement: We'd like to thank both Insidiae and Antesignani for the event filled week, between all of us, we kicked some major ass this time around! And that note concludes the report, thanks! [18:03] thatguy Andel shouts: From Pr0wer Miles for Cohors B: This week has been an excellent week for Cohor B! With the squad based competitions a noticeable spike of offensive activity has been seen across all the centuries. We still hope to maintain a high level of activity and build upon more training to further promote important skills. As usual expect another Cohor B command meeting later tonight after this meeting, so please do your best to arrange a way to make it. Finally I want to continue to reiterate that everyone who has not completed or enrolled in Armatura to work with the magisters so we can help you get you caught up to where you need to be! [18:04] thatguy Andel shouts: That's all from me! [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Ms. Aquitaine? [18:05] Nikki4 Aquitaine shouts: (On behalf of Ethan) Gotta write this up really quick, so I'll be brief. This was a fantastic week for Astra. We had a TON of raid activity. Drasamax and Ookami were bloodthirsty monsters, stomping many faces in many sims. Regular flight members have rallied, and activity all across the board has been off the charts. Sosarin and Zrazor continue to plot behind closed doors, and as a result of whatever they're doing, we're seeing more and more Astra members return to active status, and an increase in fresh recruits, as well as a few transfer requests. Final touches are being put on our elite unit (I believe Letalis was the name they chose) and a discussion with Cohors A will be held. Also, thanks to Disembodied, Astra has a new ground operations vest. It will be available as an unlock soon. Finally, Xoza is now XO of Palaestra, so congrats to him there. [18:06] Nikki4 Aquitaine shouts: That's everything. :] [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any additional reports? [18:07] Corsi Mousehold: o/ [18:08] Corsi Mousehold: A large amount of good things happening over this past two weeks. Very good stuff. On this rarity, one of the good things were base closings. Three sims have closed over the past two weeks and all three were set in rebuild status which means we technically lost nothing there. Those were Segovia Empire, Elysium Korps, and Exercito Brasileiro the latter having gone to VICE combat. New Reports in for Raven Raiders and Black Scorpion Mercinaries. BSM has a new build that they finished in a matter of hours and looks really good. To make things even more interesting, we have two MORE groups that have appeared and opened. CDF in the sim Hazardous, and MBC in the sim Seashell Shores. MBC on a side note is run by Derek Furman. No assault has gone out there as of yet mainly because there hasn't been anyone on the sim. Due to a number of people leaving or otherwise moving on to other things, we have reduced the team count to 12 from 15 and currently have eleven members. So that means Tactica has one slot open. Two of our members have also become Praetorian Initiates (Congrats to all new initiates. 'Cept Burrwolf cause he's fat) so we may have other opportunities open as their new duties take them away from us. This concludes the Tactica report for this week. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Awesome. Thank you. Any additional reports? [18:09] Wulf Lykin raises paw [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Lykin? [18:11] Wulf Lykin shouts: as a little side note, Raiven Raiders are rebuilding thanks to astra's raid yesterday, we set of 2 nukes thanks to chrash. kinda funny like they rebuilded the raid before that aswell when we succeeded as well to set off the nuke. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Haha. THank you. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Final call for reports? [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: All righty. Moving on: [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: > Raid Challenge [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: This week’s combat challenge went extremely well. No incidents of drama that’s noteworthy (spare a couple bans/unbans) on the external or internal levels. Every unit participated, drumming up an impressive 50 raids. There is pretty much no group left untouched, haha. We received some feedback from Silver Hawks even—Sin mentioned he was having an awesome time. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Special mention to Astra: a huuuuge week for you guys. A lot of that is Ookamiwulf’s doing. So thank you! The lineup is fairly neck to neck for the “second place” role; however Invictus pulled ahead with a very impressive combat record for the challenge. Major kudos to all of Invictus for getting out there to put the hurt down. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: > Development [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Ho-boy. A lot to report today. First off: Pilum / SRAW being replaced with a new rocket launcher platform. The weapon is based off of the AT-4—it’s sitting in front of me for those curious. It will feature variable rocket choices, giving folks more punch when put up against objective doors (etc). Existing unlocks will be honored, as always. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Additionally, the Subjugator is being replaced. The model is also complete and available to view right in front of me, haha. Thinking of making it a bit different than the Subjugator is now to give it a more dynamic feel: like a warm up barrel spin, possibly an overheat, so on and so forth. [18:18] Corsi Mousehold raises his hand. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: The Adjudicator replacement . . . I do not yet have the model; however Keller reassures me it is coming along nicely. All that is left is some texturing, additional details, and sounds. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: In Titan news, the M39 revolver is complete and will be hitting the market as soon as I have a moment to head up to the server. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Mousehold? [18:20] Corsi Mousehold: Regarding the minigun having an overheat. That would be banned in a large number of sims. Reload per expended might be better. [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: There was no mention of not having a reload. [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: Overheating would be additional. As the planned firing rate is pretty damn high. [18:22] Corsi Mousehold: My apologies. I misunderstood. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: No problemo. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: > Elite Unit Creed [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: On the 21st, a Cohors A specific mission statement / creed was introduced: />http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/12712-cohors-a-creed/ [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Orders were passed to all unit commands to implement the statement in to their induction process, while ensuring all existing members affirm the expectations in a counseling notice. Although relatively simple, it lays out the basic expectations of Cohors A membership for all to see, without need to dig through the various policies and posts made by the Terra command. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Eventually, all units will be introducing creeds of their own. [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: > Red Zone Back-Up [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: As a reminder: the enemy essentially have less than a fourth of the region to operate safely within. We have the other seventy-five percent. It is important that we give some slack: back off the line, keep out of line of sight of the doors. Providing attackers breathing room not only increases their fun, but gives us more opportunity to maneuver to counter threats. [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: A lot of the sim is comprised of passage ways—use them. Rather than sitting behind a barricade patiently waiting for Elitecommand9293 Resident to come out of the door, back up and give the man some room to backflip repeatedly before he’s summarily destroyed. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: If you are not in line of sight of the doors, you are generally good. Don’t be afraid to hold up in buildings and use them against attackers. Just be sure not to give up our objectives. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: > Guard Initiates / Auxiliary [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: Now that initial selections have been made for the Praetorian Guard, there is some confusion to clear up. Individuals who made the final list were given the role of “Praetorian Initiate.” An Initiate is essentially a probationary Praetorian. For the next month, they will be observed and tested to see how they fit into the role. Although relatively rare: yes, an initiate could lose their application status for bad performance over the next month. [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: Initiates maintain, for the most part, status as a senior NCO, unless he or she was formerly an officer. For example: Thatguy Andel is still an O-4. Initiates have been left in all their original roles, so no power changes will be occurring. It is likely that they will continue holding their current command positions, even after final inductions. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: The second category for applicants to the Guard is the “Praetorian Auxiliary.” The auxiliary has multiple purposes: for current Guard members, it will house any inactive Praetorians, freeing up spots within the primary Guard. For applicants, it will provide them the opportunity to operate in support of the Guard—they’ll be permitted to train, deploy, and participate in most Praetorian functions. When a spot arises in the primary Guard, auxiliary members would receive the opportunity to step up. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: So, in short, the Praetorian Auxiliary is both a support and a recruitment element. In the future, unless a large number of Guard positions open, we’ll likely take applicants for the Praetorian Auxiliary and groom folks from there. [18:36] Ron Bleac shouts: OK.~ [18:36] Ron Bleac shouts: Since Agares isn't here, I might as well do this for him! Short and sweet. [18:36] Ron Bleac shouts: Congratulations, Initiates. Your efforts during the past trials have been extremely commendable. I'm looking forward to serving beside you on the battlefields of our tumultous world. Keep your sense of duty close in the coming month and show us what you're made of! [18:37] Ron Bleac shouts: My personal thanks to everyone. [18:37] Ron Bleac shouts: All of those who participated in the trials have made me proud. Whether or not you passed or not does not matter, you are all equal in my eyes because you had the guts to try. I commend you for your bravery. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: > Rule Application on Attackers: Expectations [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: Some mention has been made to me that there’s a bit of hyper-tensity when it comes to applying rules on attackers. By that, I mean there are occasions where defense command brings down the hammer on folks for actions that do not necessarily require it. [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: I completely understand why this occurs and hardly blame anyone for it. It’s a matter of simply having a wide range of folks holding control of defense—which, although a good training experience, does create variation. [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: So! I decided to lay out a little standard here. Attackers are to be given a sort of three step approach when breaking rules: formal warning, minor rebuke, major rebuke. Of course, those steps may vary based upon the severity of things—as in, if Elitecommando942992 Resident is av flying around the sim shooting nukes out of his eyes, a warning really isn’t necessary. [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: However, for the most part, we should definitely follow this: warn, minor, major. So. Using the same Elitecommandowhatever: let’s say he keeps taking delayed TPs. The defense commander would IM him and state “yo, you need to stop.” He replies “OK!” and then does it again. You’d escalate it into a minor rebuke—something to the degree of either having an EM eject him from the region temporarily, or send him another IM notifying him he’ll be banned. If he continues, well, then bam, he gets a nice estate ban is left at the mercy of the administration to appeal it. [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Something to note: you can “warn” a group of people at once. For example, if you shout it within their distance, IM their commander, or estate message it. So, if Elitecommando1292349329 and his friends are all doing something, there’s no need to IM each of them individually to warn them. [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: > Wind Down Day / Holiday – Sunday [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: Per our agreement last month: we will take one day off a month to simply relax. Tomorrow, since it’s Easter, will be that day. We will continue administrative functions (ART, officer meeting, any training you’d like to do, etc), however will be on stand-down. So, feel free to dress down, hang out, and humor Zrazor by participating in his random dance party. Just, have a good time! [18:45] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Bleac, since he's apparently a rabbit, will be expected to organize an egg hunt. [18:45] Aryte Vesperia: That is all. [18:46] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Thank you all for coming! Promotions will be up tomorrow. I'll be lurking around trying to do them tonight so I can be lazy tomorrow too. Dismissed. :]
  5. I'm sorry to hear of your loss, Ciel. You have my condolences.
  6. Hello there. My name is Hakuen Silverstar. You can either call me Hakuen or Haku, whichever is easier for you. I just made it into Schola. Hopefully, I'll make it through relatively unscathed and be able to join the Terra branch of the Ordo Imperialis before long.
