  1. Think I made a mistake. I accidentally joined all of my objects and now I can't switch it back. x_x
  2. Once again. I'm extremely proud of this model, so I'm gonna keep showcasing my progress. I replaced the entire forward grip with a cube instead of extruded circles, and I already love the result of it. Still having the texture issue.
  3. I ran into an issue with texturing that's causing faces of the rifle to not appear when looking directly at them. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
  4. All right. I've restarted the project, and it's already looking a whole lot better because, as I've learned, it's easier to fix things when they're their own objects and prims. I've edited the casing over the barrel, the handle and the forward grip, and I'm now working on the rifle stock - each as their own objects, which was the largest mistake I made when I was editing the original draft (I edited them all as a single object, which made it flipping difficult.) All of this has been done in the span of one hour, since now I know what I'm doing and how to do it. I've reworked it to be a lot slimmer, and a bit more compact to look more aesthetically pleasing. The "palm grip" as I called it behind the trigger was taken out entirely to allow the rifle to be more compact, and the magazine easier to place. All I need to figure out is this: Basically, I've made the face where the barrel goes through completely hollow, so that I can fit a twelve-vertices circle inside. After I do that, how can I fill in the spots between the edges surrounding the circle? Or should I look into making the "barrel" square and just stretched out? Keller doesn't use Blender, and I don't know if all 3D Modeling programs are universal in design.
  5. See, I don't know how to do that. If someone can tell me how, I would gladly do it.
  6. The whole model was modified with beveling. I'll need to go back in there and change some things around. Since I'm proud of this work, I thought I would provide periodical updates whenever I change something major. As you can (probably) see here, the design is much shorter than it was intended. I took out the cartridge for the sake of adding it in as a sculpt if, and when, I decide to upload this weapon onto SL. The underails have also gone through a major redesign - and they don't even look like underails, anymore.
  7. This is as close to a "final" model as I can get, with the magazine included. The rifle butt was improved vastly, and the actual casing over the barrel has been shortened. Also, the red dot sight and the area it was mounted on was lowered to be more in line with the end point. If I was able to, I could put textures on it to make it look better.
  8. Working on it some more when I get home from school. The cushion on the butt definitely needs more work. It's a huge mess.
  9. Take two. I'm getting better at this. (Sort of)
  10. Now I need to learn how to smooth out edges on Blender. I moved the forward grip forward just a little bit to keep the rifle aesthetically "pleasing" (at least to me) while keeping the underslung railing (which isn't as pronounced in this image) the way it is.
  11. I'm trying to learn how to use Blender by attempting to model one of my concepts. Needless to say, I'm not making too much progress. =/
  12. What the Ffff was I just looking at
  13. In the context of the entire Warhammer 40k universe, I pictured the Ordo to be more like the Imperial Guard than the Space Marines. Of course, this might have been blatantly obvious and I'm not the first, or even the only one, to have thought this.
  14. Everybody's my friend! 8D But yeah, I completely agree. It seemed a little bit daunting, at first, as soon as I graduated from Schola. I didn't know where I was going to be able to fit in, and whether or not I would enjoy it here. The fact of the matter is, the Ordo has been maintained as the sole reason I even log on to Second Life, anymore, and that is because I've found a community here that is open, accepting, and fun to be around. I know that I wouldn't have enjoyed it anywhere else. Being open about oneself is a good way to find friends.
  15. No, Strealok. I forbid you from leaving. ... Safe travels, man. ;_;
  16. I know what you're thinking. A great majority of you have more than likely played the classic games at an earlier age. Some of you may have been sucked into the franchise by Age of Empires 3, or Age of Mythology. Age of Empires Online is Microsoft's effort to restore the franchise to its "former glory" by adopting an MMORTS Free-to-Play model. Despite my initial concerns and doubts, I've gotten into the game and...I'm actually thoroughly enjoying it. Its graphics are laughable, in the "adorable" kind of way; it's rendered to appeal to all ages and computer specs, like World of Warcraft. It looks a lot like Age of Mythology, but plays like the classic AoE games - with some major differences in the playing styles. The game has only two civilizations - which is FAR LESS than any other Age of Empires game had. You can choose to play as the Greeks or the Egyptians - and another civilization is being developed. It's brought in the Home City persistent leveling seen in Age of Empires 3 - the only difference being that your home city's quality level is also YOUR level. You can choose your technology as you level up and make use of them during the game. You take missions from quest-givers in your Home City, and can travel to other cities in the Mediterranean world. If you party up with other players, you can travel to their cities, as well. Missions play in the classic Age of Empires fashion; you build your economy, your army, and your empire and use all of these to defeat your enemies. The PvE is self explanatory - accept a quest, finish the objectives, kill everything in your path (if you can help it), and return to your quest giver to reap the benefits. However, the PvP plays like the classic multiplayer from the earlier games; only your technology progression will always be different from that of your enemy's. PvP is unlocked after reaching a certain level, or taking on a certain quest - it is not immediately available for obvious reasons (Read: no noobs in the opening matches). The Free-to-Play model does, as expected, have content that can be accessed through buying them off of the Marketplace. It runs off of Games for Windows Live - so yes, Microsoft's greed is written all over this game. However, the main content is not entirely hindered from this; most everything you can do doesn't need premium content that you can buy off of the Marketplace. "Premium" packs allows you further customization with your specific civilizations; but run at 1600 Microsoft Points ($20 equivalent). These packs allow you to build "arenas" in your city in order for you to access PvP directly, as well as giving you higher-quality loot and upgrades your storage capacity. Also, while you can access PvP in the game after completing a certain mission, you can't put yourself on the rankings unless you buy the premium package. If you tolerate Games for Windows Live, I would suggest giving it a try. If you have an Xbox Live account, you'll be able to access the game. [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6kkvpkgUYQ
  17. Halo: Combat Evolved was one of the first games on the Xbox, and it was later ported to the PC. Since then, I think they've shied away from developing console ports. Halo 2 on Windows Live was pretty terrible.
  18. [18:31] General M. Bison (bracket.crowley): yeah I was firing up to avoid hitting anyone [18:31] Þiudareiks Auroþarjus (thiudareiks.aurotharius): Ah. Well i saw bullets =) (?) [18:31] Kurama Bingyi: What goes up must come back down, Bracket-- [18:31] Mercury: Lost contact: Kurama Bingyi
  19. Found 103 Games with a value of $1954.98 USD
  20. that whole block = lol what were they doing?
  21. EDIT: Nevermind. My post wasn't within the subject matter. ^^
