  1. Well, I would recommend looking at the newer Logitech OR looking at Steelseries, if you can. Razer, if you want to go with them as well, but I really would recommend matching up as much stuff as you can, to save on the amount of configuration software.

I, myself, have a Logitech G110 gaming keyboard. No LCD, but my setup wouldn't allow easy access to see it anyway, due to the desk.

  3. "Hammerpoint Interactive", which is a fake company created by "Arktos Entertainment", who created a game called "War Inc." which "WarZ" is a direct port of, all of which are published by a literally nonexistant publisher (seriously I dare you to google any of these companys) called "OP Productions".

Also, they updated their TOS for their game so that it now states that you are no longer allowed to request nor recieve a refund

ONCE YOU AGREE TO THIS TERMS OF SERVICE AND THE END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR THE GAME (THE “EULA”) AND SERVICE FOR THE GAME COMMENCES, YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND FOR ANY AMOUNTS OR OTHER CONSIDERATION PAID BY YOU FOR THE USE (OR FUTURE USE) OF THE GAME CLIENT OR THE SERVICE.

Which is is a violation of US FTC Law - http://www.ftc.gov/b...s/redress.shtml

Are you going to file a complaint?

  4. (thanks)

Yeah, I'm seeing how American Nightmare is. Repetition, with variations in three places, with some engine updates. Really?

The original, well worth playing. I do like how if you time things right, you get the "cinematic" effect, which is essentially bullet-time (mostly dodging, but sometimes finishing off a wave of enemies). All the enemies in the first game (and -most- in the second) bring melee weapons to a gun fight...but you have to use a flashlight to make 'em weak...or some sort of light. Flashbangs, flares, and flare guns for everyone.

  5. Time: Find some sort of weapon while scrounging for basic necessities (Food, CLEAN water, shelter). Use temporary shelters and find any evidence of civilization.

Weather: Find where the weather isn't too hot or cold, evacuate there.

Government: Carry sidearm concealed. If possible, continue to live normally. Else, see below.

All other scenarios: Arm up with m77 and sidearm (only weapons I have). Bring plenty of bullets. Evacuate to Government Camp (Mt. Hood) or nearest mountainous town. If not possible, evacuate to a remote hospital that is staffed, help with defense there (Hippocratic oath).

  6. Ok, first of all, yes, these games were originally Xbox 360 titles. Why is this topic here? Well, because I'm going to be talking about the PC port.

Alan Wake is a "Psychological horror third-person shooter," or at least that's what I've seen it called. Basically, you play as an author whose book is coming alive from the pages in the book. There is some foreshadowing within the game, where you'll read something in the pages, and then a few minutes later, it happens. It takes quotes from Stephen King and is a very Stephen King-esque game, but it's not very scary.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare is a direct sequel to the first game, but it takes place as an episode of an in-series TV series called "Night Falls," which is supposed to be their version of "The Twilight Zone." The game mechanics are slightly different (improved) than the previous title, but it still follows the same formula as the previous game.

  7. Humble Bundle (Yes, they have android bundles. It's going on NOW)

Barcode Scanner (MUST HAVE, scans almost all barcodes, including QR codes)

    Trillian

Viber (Free* messaging and texting, uses data/wifi connection)

PDX Transit Finder (for Trimet Transit Tracker, uses the protocol that Trimet and Google developed)

    Evernote (for notetaking)

    Polaris Office (obvious)

    SwiftKey 3

    Vocalyst (reading SMS)

The Daily Show (when I am bored)

Steam (talking to peeps on Steam)

    FlightTrack

    Google Drive

    Dropbox

    doubleTwist

    Winamp

    ComiXology

    CamScanner

    EDIT: Here's some more:

avast! Mobile Security (Best for rooted devices. You can not remove it easilly on rooted devices (even goes through hard resets))

    TeamViewer (Easiest VNC-like app ever)

    Ring Scheduler

    Beautiful Widgets

And for those that have android phones and paypal, you'll want both of these

Google Authenticator (2-vector authentication for google accounts and compatible accounts)

VIP Access (Basically, Paypal Security Key for free or anything that uses VIP from Verisign (burgandy keys) or Symantec)

  8. DISCLAIMER: This topic has yet to be approved, so if it does not get approved, I will request this topic to be locked. This topic has been approved.

As some of you know, I am in a Computer Ethics course. The instructor has allowed me to select a topic of my choosing, since computer ethics is very broad, from Artificial intelligence to changing the "code" or behavior of individuals by changing the code in the programming.

My topic is on the history of the SLMC, defined in the following topics:

    • The places where some militaries started, to where they are now
    • STABLE
    • New Jessie
    • Iron Symphony and The Anvil Coalition
    • Combat Contienent
    • Evolution of rules

I may involve more than these topics.

I do need anyone whom have intimate knowledge of any of these topics to get in contact with me. I will be citing your Second Life account name for the interview.

If anyone is curious about the instructor, here is a link to his University biography.

  9. Well, let me be honest here. I have Asperger's Syndrome myself. I don't like it when people use it as an excuse to act like a jerk especially the selfdiagnosis cases.

This guy basically put it in the application that he had those. That wasn't the reason to deny him, far from...He was only 1 month in SL time at the time, and the requirement was two and some other annoying things. I told him to reapply later however instead of doing so I got that message.

    Here here!
  10. Not to mention, we have a lot of people whom fall under ADA guidelines in our SL military group, myself included. So, their argument is invalid, sorry.

...plus if it was me, I may have responded something similar to them. Something like "It is not because of you having ADHD and Autism. We have a few personnel that fall under ADA guidelines anyway, myself included. We are also an organization that doesn't fall under the purview of the ADA anyway. Your argument is invalid, have a nice day."

  11. Could had been worse. Could had been a betazed-style wedding.

Also, I have no problem with brony weddings. The only ones that I have a problem with are the ones that require a blood sacrifice (meaning death).

  12. Went with the iPhone 4S!

Love it, a lot more fluid than what I had, also enjoy the little things about it that make the overall experience more enjoyable. I love android, but all the devices I was able to get hands on with just didn't seem as snappy. Looking into buying a developer device for android soon, though. So I'm not totally jumping that ship.

BUT YEAH, thanks guys! This thread resulted in a pretty satisfying purchase.

So...the Galaxy Nexus? Or are you talking about the developer tablet?
