I'd say that mere physical reductionism of neurons, genetics, and brain chemistry alone cannot account for human behavior.
Much more intelligent and educated men than you and I believe in physical reductionism. Why is this a valid argument? Until your thought is intrinsically on their echelon your opinion is inherently meaningless. Is my opinion meaningful? Of course not, because I too am not nearly as intelligent as Gauss, Einstein, Faraday, or any number of men who did more in elementary school than I have in my whole life in terms of academia. This is why I don't even bother to argue my Lo-Fi opinion.
Why, then, am I dual-majoring in physics and chemical engineering? Simply because I seek the ability to manufacture a nanomachine that facilitates neural processing, protocol, and networking; this can potentially allow myself and others to have the ability to think on their level--and, perhaps, facilitate the assimilation of knowledge in the human race.

And Agares, physics is not plug and chug memorization, it's analyzing how the universe works. You can't just memorize equations to solve something like this, there's a lot of analysis and interpretation for physics like this. I analyzed what physical phenomena the described setup produced, and then synthesized multiple equations together based upon an approximation I had to come up with on my own. There's a difference between rote math problems and physics, Agares.
Very well said.

Actually, I did this stuff senior year of highschool. Also, just looking at the problem briefly, shouldn't a numerical answer be the final? I call shenanigans.
High school? Oh wow, how impressive! What's the name of the school? Also, the final equation is all that is necessary--a scalar value doesn't show much.
Since you're a veteran at this, how about an easy one for you to solve:

namby-pamby grade school reports
Yeah! Because you know, anyone can easily understand electromagnetism and the Maxwell equations. Analyzing things is so hard!

Scientific Waffle has proven to be a delicious winner!
The approach was perfect--yes, it was an approximation.
Since the answer calls for a magnitude scalar, we can make the assumption that you planned on dropping the negative.
Again, perfect! I'll contact you in game.

Show work, and final equation. First person to post the correct equation earns L$2000.

I sometimes wish school was more like Bible Black.

I love this one.

Someone needs to dig up to old Ordo ones.

Aryte wasn't a marshal and sukasa wasn't in charge of the ground division tho. Aryte was in charge of the ground division and sukasa held no notable position.
I think you're right about Sukasa... As for Aryte I'm almost certain he was a marshal--equal to Lurdan and Anthony.
-
There was once a time when many of the higher-ups were in the Mercz, myself included. Aryte was a Marshal, Joseph was in charge of the air division, and Sukasa was in charge of the ground division. Seriously.

Hey man, glad to see you back.

As our Order matures and assimilates into every one of us, members come and go as a perpetually passive introspection that we all find apparent. However, ever so often we are blessed with a follower who is inherently a beyond-wonderful addition--an individual such as Ms. Kiranov. Rarely do I submit my deepest regards for anyone; Aryte being the first, Syl the second. She is fully qualified for Praetorian, and would have been my first and only choice.

Hello Ms. Spectre! It's great to see you around again.

Fairlight's weapons have been refined exponentially; well beyond that of most weaponry found in Second Life. If anyone has enquiries regarding Fairlight industries, one simply needs to ask Julia Faulkland rather than do some colloquial investigation brimming with fallacies.
I hate the media.

Sounds to me like a good way to use yiffing as a weapon.

[10:38] Endra Ashbourne: The group was created prior to the ejections though. The roster included quite a few Ordo members (if I go down the list right now, for example, we have: me, Euro, Faril, Keller, Krow, Lestat, Rygad, Tandem, Tenaki, Thunder, Zero, and Zrazor). It was created to be just a group of friends, though it is entirely possible that the purpose of the group can or has shifted.

A new group has spawned from the mess of fail: Eclipse.
Currently stationed in Lighterdark.DIGNITARIES:
Eclipse CEO: Josey Bingyi
Eclipse Prime Minister: Lordbob Boa
Eclipse President: Revenant Graves
Eclipse Commy: Iven Chesnokov
Eclipse Facist: Fox Absolute
Eclipse Consort: Sinsali Tripsa
COMMANDERS:
Dagger Exonar
Lestat Umarov
Arch Graves
Keira Skytower
Sinsali Tripsa
CREW:
First Officer: Endra Ashbourne
Second Officer: Trevor Russell
Chief Medical: Anlysia Gregoire
Chief Engineering: Rygads Hax
Warden: Mithril Matzerath
Notice how Dagger is listed twice under the command section. This group is most probably of the same brew as Erebus.
Some familiar Erebus names: Arch, Revenant, Butthole...
The sim they use seems to be Lighterdark, it would be appreciated if someone could retrieve further information regarding the owner, parcels, the nature of the sim, et cetera.
This will be the official thread regarding this group; post any information here.
