  1. The three individuals they described in the CBS 2 video were all under the age of majority, let alone the age to consume alcohol. And fourteen? This is just appalling! Yes, I believe I will find a way to help out. I wish the poor man luck and a well-earned recovery. And I hope that the people responsible come to understand what they have done...
  2. I like teh seafoods. About the only aquatic thing I've tried (admittedly, my horizons are not broad yet) that I disliked was mussels. I like smoked clams, shrimp, lobster, crab, calamari, scallops, filleted fish in any preparation, etc... problem is, all the really tasty things are found in regions of the US and further out that I have yet to be able to travel to. It is one of my ambitions to maybe go to Asia and find a restaurant that serves that thinly-sliced pufferfish. And also try eel and escargot. Well, escargot is technically not seafood, but I hear its texture is a lot like clams and octopus and squid -- rubberyish(?). Also.. I do like mushrooms, especially morels. They're not easy to find and pick because they don't domesticate. It makes them expensive, but they are so delicious when fried... Aside from that, I pick and choose from all kinds of cultures and I have favorites from each. Every one nationality does funny things with their food and there are things I am hesitant to touch. That would be along the lines of... head cheese, offal, tripe, you know. Ick. I have discovered that there are certain things I don't like for sure, too. I don't like mayonnaise, cottage cheese, cream cheese, cabbage. Pungent things, mostly.

  6. That's surprisingly inexpensive! Boy would I absolutely love to order one of those. I might just do so. :) Er wait o: Is that just the shipping by itself or the total price?
  7. ... 1? I think I better retest this again another day. I read through the entire thread and I think I'm the only one. I'm unpredictable :P

Divisional Reports [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? [18:02] SoulBinder Wolfstein raises his hand for Terra. [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Wolfstein? Terra [18:02] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Antesignani: Activity is seriously on the rise. We had several trainings most private with one public. Also an Antesignani raid and presence of Antesignani Members in general back on the rise. We have the new XCR with the MASS being tested and it is definately improving our flexability. Also we added a new member to the team. Kaska Czarny is now a member of Antesignani. Several members of the squad have had heavy activity in deploying armor as well as the APC being a vastly strategic part of the squad raid this week. [18:02] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Insidiae: Insidiae would like to welcome their new Executive Officer, Afevis Sodertelge to the role. In other news, Insidiae is making excellent headway in the last week, holding several squad events and a raid or two while waiting for our new training course that is being prepared for the squad. This course should be done as soon as Munitorium finishes up with our final gear adjustments, which will be the basis of what the course is to be heavily centered upon. Along with the recent collection of the squaddies hours of availability, we will soon be seeking to hold a far greater amount of trainings, raids, and other squad related events! Lastly, Squaddie Linx Foxclaws's cousin, the Energizer Bunny was arrested, and promptly charged with battery. That is all for this week from Insidiae! [18:03] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Invictus: A little bit of a slower week this time, though we expected a little decrease as the Praetorian Trials came around. Invictus MCR variants are still in the works with a close finishing date advancing for one of them, hoping to see that within the next week or so if all runs smoothly. Overall member activity has dropped just a little bit as we see a few members focus their time on the Praetorian trials, and a few members on leave of absence as well. However, activity should increase for the next week as numerous activities are scheduled to be undertaken! As for the recruitment aspect of things, we've developed a little bit of a waiting line to get into Invictus, though we're working quickly to gradually get through things! An induction is planned for next week to bring in one (1) new member into Invictus, and that'll leave two (2) slots open! If interested in learning a little bit more about Invictus, then you're all more than welcome to inquire with Eriksson Foxtrot at any time! That concludes [18:03] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: the report for this week. [18:03] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Liberatrix: Training planned for this coming Sunday at 6pm for Cohors B-3, due to a high amount of people having overlapping time ratios and choice for that date. Working up a way to get people more affiliated with alpha squads rather than pitting them against them giving them a silly overwhelming challenge. Instead it will be mixed Alpha and Cohors B squad members in which they work together defending/attacking. [18:03] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Rapax: A decent week of activity followed by a drastic drop in active membership. With more losses on the horizon. Current projects include the ongoing squad logo project as well as establishing a European timezone Training NCO. As Well as a orientation member to assist new people in the group. Building squad comraderie and paying attention to fulfilling the needs of its members are the current priorities. [18:03] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Victrix: Excellent week for Victrix! Alot of members finished armatura this week. Trainings are going off without a hitch and meetings are happening regularly. We have alot of people looking to join alpha squads here soon. Not alot more to report on this week, just a note that I'm proud of my squad. [18:03] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: This concludes my weekly wall of text. [18:04] Heather McKay raises her hand for Curia. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, Mr. Wolfstein. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. McKay? Officium Curia [18:06] Heather McKay: Quick couple of statements from me, 1. Guard interviews are starting for Curia this week, so expect the workload to be higher among the consuls. 2. There have been some incidents pertaining to the Paw of Mercury. This is an emergency system, folks, don't be playing with it. It is for the case that there are not estate managers online and a threat to the sim needs to be removed, not a tool for blackscreening one another. [18:07] Heather McKay: That being said, I do not care to hear of any more incidents of friendly fire or swatting. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman. Astra [18:08] Ethan Schuman raises his hand for Astra. [18:09] Ethan Schuman: This week in Astra, we have the following to report: [18:09] Ethan Schuman: Activity will also be ramping up, with our nightly open invitation Grand Melees resuming. [18:09] Ethan Schuman: Between the Praetorian trials and Nrom coming down with a nasty bug today (get better soon, buddy), we have a lot of pilots who are burning the candles at both ends, and are tired. However, after they have recovered, a reward awaits them. The transport mode of the Liberator has been finished, packaged, and is now sitting in Aryte's inventory awaiting distribution. While the original feature list for the Liberator included rappelling and a few other cool things, getting a replacement for the Failbus onto the field and in use as soon as possible was a much higher priority than adding in those extras. There are still two extra modes, attack (like an Apache) and gunship (like a motherfuckin' AC-130) to be done, and when I begin work on them, the extras will be added in. This release of the Liberator has been streamlined and simplified as much as possible, and has a similar flight mechanic to the Predator (though much heavier and much slower) to make adaptation much easier. Training courses should be ready soon. [18:09] Ethan Schuman: Special recognition goes out to Ookami for excellence in combat through total domination and superiority over enemy pilots. Disembodied also gets props for his rapid adaptation to his new role (and the Liberator. WNT FLTSHP NAO KTHX). [18:10] Ethan Schuman: That's all from us this week. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any additional reports this evening? [18:11] Corsi DeAllura (corsi.mousehold) raises his hand for Tactica. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Mousehold? Tactica [18:11] Corsi DeAllura (corsi.mousehold) shouts: And for Tactica, reopening this week are Atrius Invictus and Black Scorpion Mercinaries. The latter of which already has a report filed on them. Delta Force is building in a new sim and several Ordo members have been over to help out or just have a look. But the big news this week is a pair of groups that have shown up on the grid in the sim Monsalvat. Replacement groups from the remains of SLAD have cropped up by the names of DELTA and Russian armed Forces. Talking with command over there, RAF is looking to get a full sim and with two raids having gone there from the time of this writing, they were not 100% prepared to defend a quarter of a full sim. They should ... should be buying their own sim soon. If it's a full sim, I am assured that the cannon and destroyable wall stand a good chance at coming back. This concludes the Tactica Report for this week. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any final reports this evening? [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: Right-o. Moving right along. Keynote Topics [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: > Update: Gear Ah – may as well start with the popular topic with a little mash update on some of our primary projects. First to note: the drop ship replacement program has reached a completed level. The initial (unarmed) release is good to go and is awaiting final approval from Praefectus Nrom Normandy. Or, apparently has been approved according to Astra’s report? [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: For anyone who has had the opportunity to give the old “Battlebus” a whirl, the Interdictor Liberator will be an exponential improvement in functionality. It performs and flies extremely smooth. The handling is a lot like a “heavy” Predator. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Modeling of the power armor is going very, very good. Disembodied Hand gave me a sneak peek of the head design and I have to say I am pretty darn pleased. It is fairly Romanesque . . . but in a subtle, two thousand years in the future / epic way. Mr. Hand is really out-doing himself. It will be an excellent addition to our armory. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: I would show you all a picture. But. It's no copy/no mod because Disembodied sucks at perming things. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: So I will .. give it to someone randomly in the crowd. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: [18:17] Ethan Schuman accepted your inventory offer. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Bug him. [18:17] Ethan Schuman: You bastard. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Titan wise, we are expecting a strong series of addition to the line. Currently in queue and already modeled are: an Intervention rifle, 416, ACR, and a C-20. [18:18] Ethan Schuman: AND WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT IN THE CORNER? [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: The series Rome. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Shh. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Questions thus far? [18:18] Wulf Lykin raises a paw [18:18] Yoki Mistwalker shakes her head no. [18:18] Markus Karlfeldt (mark.karlfeldt) raises hand. [18:18] Tatyana Kiznetsova (kaska.czarny) raises a hand. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Lykin? [18:19] Wulf Lykin: what kind of weapons are they, asault, sniper or? [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Sniper, assault, assault, fantasy .. rifle? [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Karlfeldt? :) [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: (Welcome back.) [18:20] Markus Karlfeldt (mark.karlfeldt): When the fuck are you gonna do the Satan .44. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: .. when -- well. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Tsume just needs to change the bullets. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Czarny? [18:20] Markus Karlfeldt (mark.karlfeldt): >:| [18:21] Tatyana Kiznetsova (kaska.czarny): Sir, is there room for just anyone to develop a weapon? I'm working on one I'm interested in partnering up with someone to refine it. [18:21] Maverick Garfield raises his hand [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: Yes-- definitely. If it isn't requisitioned, however, there's the risk of it not being accepted/used. SO just a warning! [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: Garfield, Lord of Shotguns? [18:22] Maverick Garfield nods. [18:22] Maverick Garfield: More shotguns? [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: .. Really? [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Is that your honest question? [18:23] Maverick Garfield: Yes. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: .. possibly later? [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on! [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: > Officer Raid Initiative [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Last week’s officer meeting focused around officer involvement and reinforcing participation by the administration in all portions of the group. The common theme that we see arise is that officers become pretty strongly mired in the policy elements of the group and leave combat leadership to a select number. [18:23] Almighty Bracket (bracket.crowley) raises ahnd [18:24] Almighty Bracket (bracket.crowley): ignore that, chatlag made it go through late, what I wanted to ask has already been answered :> [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: As Praetorian Bleac said, combat leadership is fundamental. As such, the officer staff has made the commitment and has already begun picking up raid activity. The goal for the command corps is: at least one raid by half the staff per week—that totals roughly 18 originated raids from the staff. The primary focus will be utilizing this time to help teach new raid leaders. [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Next up: [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: As a bit of a reminder, I would like to touch on the issue of jurisdiction for Ordo members while off Titan. There are a couple areas to touch on—clear and generated jurisdictions. [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Clear jurisdiction is the obvious stuff: if you are on Titan, another military sim, etc. Clear jurisdiction is the most common area. It is what you and I run into every day. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Generated jurisdiction is a bit more gray and unusual. Generated jurisdiction occurs when Ordo members are outside of Titan or military community interactions, but the situation “generates” a level of presence that creates a level of jurisdiction by Ordo command. This can occur in a few ways: the presence of Ordo tag and/or regalia, the existence of multiple Ordo personnel in one event, or the sheer gravity of the event. [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: The presence of Ordo tag and regalia is a bit of a no-brainer. If a member is outside of the military community displaying their group specific attire and marking, their actions immediately are translated as a reflection on the Ordo. [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: The second category, the existence of numerous Ordo personnel, creates jurisdiction by perception. For example, if multiple Ordo members are together at a non-community location, actions that are committed by those members can be perceived as Ordo related due to their shared associations. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: The last category, the gravity of the event, is based upon the action itself. If the event is serious enough, regardless of whether or not a member is on Ordo or military territory, it will reflect upon the Ordo and be under the purview of the Ordo to judicate. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: In short: just be mindful what you do! [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Next: [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: > AiR Command Transition [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: As of this weekend, Praefectus Mikadze has opted to step back within the AiR. He will continue his service to the Ordo and the AiR, but feels more comfortable and effective doing so out of a managerial role. [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: Trinity Heckroth, the current head of AiR internal affairs, has been tapped as his replacement. Ms. Heckroth has a long history of service with the Ordo, most of which has seen here participating within the AiR. She will be a great replacement for Mr. Mikadze and help the AiR stay ahead in today’s community. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Congratulations Ms. Heckroth and thank you Mr. Mikadze for all of your services as Praefectus. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Next up . . [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: > Red Zone / Inviting Combat Zone [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: The region has received a great deal of positive feedback from our allies and foes alike. It . . . is reflected pretty heavily in how often we are attacked as of late! There is nothing as satisfying as logging on at 6 in the morning to see our night crew taking names on some military, heading to work, coming back at 6 at night to see our day crew . . taking names on some other military. [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: ou have achieved a really great rapport as an inviting, enjoyable combat zone. So kudos! [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: You, too. [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: Now let us keep that reputation! As such, please be sure to mind the red zone: the red “X” marks the spot. Furthermore, avoid utilizing the rooftops to suppress the doors. [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: The biggest issues that arise are limited to: - Ordo members on the rooftops in direct view of the passage to the south. - Ordo members parking tanks or turrets within view of the door. It is important that we not only keep out of LOS of the doors, but that we definitely avoid placing massive ordnance right on those doors. Haha. [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional topics to touch on this evening? [18:44] Maverick Garfield raises his hand [18:44] Almighty Bracket (bracket.crowley) raises hand for real this time [18:44] Aryte Vesperia: Garfield of the Shotgun Land? [18:44] Maverick Garfield: Thank you Sir well during some of the defense i've been on people are crowding way too much. [18:45] Maverick Garfield: causeing a lot of friendly fire I just think people need to spread out a bit more [18:45] Aryte Vesperia: Noted and agreed! [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Crowley? [18:46] Jayce Iredell raises his hand. [18:46] Nova Ansar Vesperia (fox.cheri) raises hir paw [18:46] Almighty Bracket (bracket.crowley): I noticed that there's a new door in the spawn leading north, that many attackers shoot from, within the spawn [18:46] Almighty Bracket (bracket.crowley): It's fine to shoot them back right? [18:46] Almighty Bracket (bracket.crowley): because we had one guy literally stand there, everytime, shooting from there. [18:46] Morh Giffen whispers: just got disconnected, was the subject of explosives in the red zone raised? [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Use your better judgment. My general rule is .. tell them not to. If they continue, defend yourself. [18:47] Disembodied Hand raises hand on that point [18:47] Almighty Bracket (bracket.crowley): mkay, I just wanted to ask before anything happened from it :> [18:47] Aryte Vesperia: It is there for their protection. [18:47] Hokusai Otsuka Ronmark (hokusai.otsuka) raises a hand on the same point. [18:47] Aryte Vesperia: Hand? [18:47] Almighty Bracket (bracket.crowley): I usually just hang aorund the corner until they get the idea [18:48] Disembodied Hand shouts: Generally speaking, if you can see him exiting the hub like that anyway your aim is to shoot at it, or put yourself in a situation where you have to. Its best to avoid LOS with the hubs immediate exits I think as much as possible. [18:48] Aryte Vesperia: Correct. Otsuka? [18:48] Morh Giffen raises his hand [18:49] Ethan Schuman raises his hand to stake claim to the last question slot. [18:49] Nova Ansar Vesperia (fox.cheri) raises hir paw [18:49] Hokusai Otsuka Ronmark (hokusai.otsuka): I was just mulling the idea of putting some extra cover for attackers in that new door area. Say a taco stand stretched out with crates for example. Just to block direct line of sight to that door. [18:49] Ordo Sheppie (liam.macalroy) raises his paw "I have a question about the question of the question within the question..." [18:49] Aryte Vesperia: Hahah. Taco stand. [18:49] Aryte Vesperia: OKAY. [18:49] Aryte Vesperia: Back to other topics. Iredell? [18:50] Jayce Iredell: Was just going to comment on the fact the north and south roads are direct lines of sight to the hub, and I was going to recommend moving the buildings and roads to correct it but thats probably a bit much.... [18:51] Aryte Vesperia: Hmm .. yeah likely. Shield door wall thing maybe. [18:51] Aryte Vesperia: Cheri? [18:51] Nova Ansar Vesperia (fox.cheri) shouts: I have noticed now, time after time, that defenses go on with tanks taking precedence where a bomber could have dealt with that issue faster than a tank. Instead, a choice of "PLaying with the fire" is chosen, even though it is talked about a lot, that Astra should have a bigger role in defenses. I am just wondering if that is still up for discussion or an actual topic of manifesto now? [18:51] Aryte Vesperia: Really, the OIC can decide on that. [18:51] Aryte Vesperia: I'm always in favor of calling up a bomber (ie: VIX, BOMB THAT ROOF). [18:52] Aryte Vesperia: But definitely, let's remember Astra is pretty useful to blow shit up (not whispered this time). [18:52] Aryte Vesperia: Uhhhr who else .. [18:52] Aryte Vesperia: Giffen? [18:52] Aryte Vesperia: Your last name makes me giggle for some reason. Giffen. [18:53] Morh Giffen: Sir, would you please clarify what the situation is with Ordo explosives planted (not thrown ones) inside the red zone? There has been some confusion on the subject [18:53] Morh Giffen: It's a "G", Sir. Gee [18:53] Aryte Vesperia: Oh, no. Do not plant explosives in red zone. [18:53] Ashley Jade Wiles (blaze.wiles) raises paw [18:53] Aryte Vesperia: Schuman? [18:54] Ethan Schuman: Nikki smells. [18:55] Ethan Schuman: But on a serious note, I've noticed a lot of our troops mingling with Erebus casually. This is a good thing, and I'd like to encourage you all to continue doing so. Off the battlefield, we all are on the same side, seeking fun, and building intergroup friendships only helps that. Pretty much everyone in this community plays games outside SL. Military boundaries dissolve there for the most part, as our people team to kill (or troll) others. It's fun, and good for us. I don't know if Aryte will buy that you're playing Bad Company 2 "for the sake of diplomacy and intergroup relations," but it's worth a shot. [18:55] Aryte Vesperia: Yeah good luck on that. [18:56] Aryte Vesperia: Last one. Wiles? [18:57] Ashley Jade Wiles (blaze.wiles): Can I ask what is our policy in regards to the placement of explosives in and on the objective points? [18:57] Aryte Vesperia: Feel free. [18:57] Steeltael Lykin raises paw [18:57] Ordo Sheppie (liam.macalroy): Poor steel :< Meeting Closer [18:58] Aryte Vesperia: All righty. There. Good meeting and dialog. Thank you all for attending. Promotions will be up in the morn', sure nuff. [18:58] Aryte Vesperia: I will be leading a raid either tonight .. or probably tomorrow. [18:58] Aryte Vesperia: So. Ya'll know what to do in the mean time. [18:59] Aryte Vesperia: Dismissed. Chop chop. [18:59] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute.

Large TAC engagements with Dresden (or whatever it is called now) went into full swing, with some strong shows of power as we simultaneously engaged all recognized TAC targets. Mid-week went a bit quieter, as Ordo forces re-tasked to engaging independent parties (and a lot of CATI). All in all, no major policy changes or anything to really note—aside from that Erebus recovered from a bit of a hiccup, had a short rebuild, and reopened yesterday. [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? Divisional Reports [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Normandy, for Astra? I will remind everyone that this is part of showing your activity. When you are not active, you are placed on the reserve list. When you're on the reserve list you're out of sight and out of mind. Please work on this. I'll also announce the CO/XO for Reapers later tonight once I am able to speak with some of the individuals. Terra [18:05] thatguy Andel: From Tsukiyomi on Century 1: Busy report for Victrix this week, Lots of training, a meeting and a bunch of reviews! Very proud of the activity for my squad this week, They are all doing an excellent job! Alot of progress in group development has been made after the B command meeting, and the creation of the Victrix group. Trainings have gone off without a hitch this week, a good presence by Victrix for all trainings. The meeting didn't turn out as expected, Hostiles and bad scheduling made it difficult to hold properly, however still went over quite well. Excellent week for Victrix, [18:05] thatguy Andel: From Steeltael on Century 2: This week a XO was selected and activity saw a dip as multiple members were recruited into other squads. New members added, Jeffrey Worbridge & Xiolin Furlough [18:05] thatguy Andel: From Williamca on Century 3: Things have been lacking this week, with the new group I plan to make more muster calls for training. I also have a combined training planned that I intend to talk with Teron about to get my members acquanted with armored vehicles and working along side them. We may do the same for Insidiae and Invictus to, in order to get them to push towards alpha squads and not simply maintain bare minimum activity. [18:06] thatguy Andel: That's all from Cohors B. [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any Cohors A leaders wish to chime in? [18:06] Kiwi Foxtrot (eriksson.foxtrot) raises hand for Invictus. [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Foxtrot? [18:06] Kiwi Foxtrot (eriksson.foxtrot) shouts: From myself: "Fun and co-operative week as I made my 'more' official return from absence. Invictus partook in numerous squad raids, and even a joint Antesignani + Invictus raid on CATI which went extremely well this week. The Invictus MCR bayonet variant is almost completed according to Keller, so that's something that we're all eagerly waiting on! On another note: Member activity is beginning to peak, and we hope to keep that solid effort up as we dig our faces into the recruitment phase. By sometime this week we plan on inducting one member, even two members into Invictus; though don't fret if you do not make it in! We still have plenty of room, and lots of candidates to make through! That being said, if you're interested in Invictus, and haven't already contacted myself, or my XO Kastrenzo Benelli, then please go ahead and do that! This concludes the Invictus report for this week!" [18:06] Krow Ames: o/ [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Ames? [18:07] Krow Ames shouts: A beta of our new hud has been handed out to key members of the squad. If it performs well, it could go live soon. Several key recruitments have taken place, as promised, and the squad is now at full health. The squad members are still adjusting into the group, but we will soon be able to run at full capacity with several squad exclusive raids a week. A new XO is also being discussed. Stay tuned! Insidiae loves you. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports this evening? Praetorian Guard [18:09] Corsi DeAllura (corsi.mousehold) raises his hand [18:09] Agares Tretiak raises his hand. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Tretiak. [18:09] Agares Tretiak: Thank you, my lord. The Praetorian Guard is, as many of you know, preparing to hold the Candidate Trials. I thank all the applicants for their efforts, and the Guard looks forward to working with them, as well as the Guard colleagues in the Special Branches to carry out the task. I should have the first time-slot schedule prepared this evening and I hope to start the trials Monday. Otherwise, activity is up, my connection is almost bearable, and the much dreaded obstacle course is almost complete. En Nomen Gloria Imperialis [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Tactica [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Mousehold? [18:11] Corsi DeAllura (corsi.mousehold) shouts: The Tactica Board has reached the stated goal we set out to accomplish. As of right now, every open base and millitary we can find, has been updated and reported on. Other groups have now taken to messaging Tactica staff to get updates and information of what is happening around the grid and asking us for landmarks they cannot get. For the entire Tactica staff, Huttser Ishelwood, Kyra Vixen, Acheron Gloom, Afevis Soderteige, Darkhades Demonia, Exterminatus Footman, Fox Cheri, Kalas Drascol, Kithsuneca Eilde, Kynnaria Merlin, pat Vinciolo, Stirn Aurotharius, Tsukiyomi Yuhara, Ookamiwulf Lemton, and Sebris Montpart; Thank you for all the hard work you have done and continue to do to improove the team and the military community as a whole. Ookami has given us our first 3D map this week. Have a look inside the Erebus folder on the Tactica board. [18:11] Corsi DeAllura (corsi.mousehold) shouts: Moving on we have two base closings this week. K-Brigade is gone even though they were never there to defend anyway but they lost their land. And the open combat sim Laiva is gone due to stress placed on the owner from a few of it's patrons. An update on Atrius Invictus has them out of Snowflake and currently seeking a sim after a short stay at Fenris. Erebus is back opened again as I am sure Lord Vesperia has already mentioned. Chaos Company SHOULD be opening soon as last time I chatted with them, they were talking about getting started some time this month. BSM had opened and then closed again and I won't get into the rumors as to why but they have told me they will be back shortly too. [18:13] Corsi DeAllura (corsi.mousehold): Oh. And an addendum to that ... Ironostics is supposedly returning after their death on the 14th. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Final call for reports this evening. [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Moving right along then. Keynote Topics [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: A few topics from me tonight. Two of 'em fairly big. And then I believe Mr. Bleac has a statement. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: First up. The usual "new stuff" report: [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Drop ship replacement in scripting. Basic functions are in place. Ethan Schuman flew me around in it a few days ago. It appears to be shaping up just fine. No estimation as to when it will be completed. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Disembodied is estimating next Friday as completion for the power armor model. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Annnd a new set of machine pistols are being drafted up, compliments of Scarlet Flaks and Tsume Xiao. I have them attached currently. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: They're essentially born out of Scarlet going "mm, what can I make with 2 prims." [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Questions on gear and technology before we move on? [18:20] Krow Ames: o/ [18:20] Succenturio Takakura (arokh.takakura) raises claw. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Ames? [18:20] Krow Ames: Dropship. Back when I left, if you shot the driver, everyone was returned home. Is this the case still, and will it have an armor system to aleviate the problem? [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: It will not have HP on initial release. However, by LL limitations, the damage delt to the ship is split among the passengers. So, if there's two folks riding, it would be able to absorb more then one shot (etc). [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: Takakura? [18:22] Succenturio Takakura (arokh.takakura): I was wondering, what is the artistic inspiration for the Power-Armour? [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Optimus Prime, of course. [18:23] Succenturio Takakura (arokh.takakura): .. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: No, I'm kidding. It's a mish-mash of things, actually. Disembodied and Tiridates then got together and are drafting it up. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: What I do know is Disembodied is attempting to make it "faceless." He's in love with ominous robot things. [18:24] Succenturio Takakura (arokh.takakura): [i hope it's resizeable] [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: It likely will not be. [18:24] Succenturio Takakura (arokh.takakura): ;-; [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: We'll seeee. [18:25] Succenturio Takakura (arokh.takakura): [i'll just take the panels] [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on: [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: I. ART Stuff [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: I have released a sort of beta copy for folks to gander at on the forums. Feel free to give your input and thoughts: [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/11338-art-sneak-peek/ [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Still trucking along on it as time permits. But, definitely give it a look! [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Now for the big topic from me this evening. As one of the [E-5] requirements, a "suggest changes" letter is expected. I go through them routinely and compile the ideas. I have dug out some of the recent ones and want to go over the suggestions here and provide my thoughts for you all on those suggestions. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: First up: [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: "NCOS partnering up with officers; or senior NCOS partnering up with junior members on raids/combat scenarios to share traits." [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: As it was explained to me: the idea is to sort of expect and foster an ongoing mentor program for leadership. The essence of this is covered in the ART for combat skills-- so I am definitely in favor of expanding that to include the raid leadership/defense leadership skill sets. [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: I am going to go ahead and start that off. I will commit to "leading" at least a couple of raids weekly and sit-in with a volunteer leader, providing them the chance to exercise their aspirations in a "safe" enviroment. [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: For seasoned raid leaders, we will work out a routine and start an ongoing mentorship routine, in which our veteran combat leaders will tag along and simply act in advisory status to those wishing to get into the ring as a leader. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: Next: [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: "Extend Schola over a longer period of time." [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: The author of the idea proposed that Schola be regimented over a longer period of time-- although I can see the basis of the idea, the eventual goal is to make the transition between Schola and Armatura to be seamless. [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: The IEA has been gearing up to make that possible. Eventually, Armatura will be seen less as a "do this if you wanna, I guess," and more of a compulsory assignment after finishing Schola. As such, I am wary about regimenting how often Schola can be taught at the moment. [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: Next: "Routine measurement of sim resource usage by members; help Ordo members keep their resource impact low." [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Totally no objection to that. We have largely, informally, done this for some time and .. actually made some pretty awesome headway by simply being aware of what unncessary attachments can do. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: The individual who offered the suggestion pledged an outline. Looking forward to seeing what he has in mind. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Next: "More systematic raid call-up; random rolls or Mercury automation." [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: This is an interesting thought. I am, however, leaning more towards the Mercury option. This idea has come out of complaint of routinely missing raid calls simply by bad timing. It would not be too difficult to slave in additional function to Mercury -- not unlike the OIC window -- that simply popped up and warned folks when a raid was being called. [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: (wow Mercury.) [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: We could easily make a staged routine where, for example .. a raid leader would call a raid through the server. [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: And it would send out a notice to folks active on map. "Yo, raid in X minutes." [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Then take a list of volunteers after the expired time, even. [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: "More clear cut training/unlocking for armor (etc)." [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: As we covered last week (or the week before?), that is already being solved. With the new tank (and the power armor), training will be on demand based on unlock. [18:44] Aryte Vesperia: Next: "Enforced squad immerson: scheduled events." [18:45] Aryte Vesperia: The author called for mandatory squad events in which units would get together and break outside their shell a bit, simply to get to know one another and practice. I completely support this idea as well. I have had it as an expectation for Cohors A units for some time. [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Simply a matter of getting Cohors command to orchestrate it now. [18:46] Steeltael Lykin raises paw [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: And flights, for that matter. [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Yes, I know Cohors B already does it, Steeltael. Kudos etc. [18:47] Aryte Vesperia: Next: "Expansion of Astra into a '3 elite selection' set up like Terra." [18:49] Aryte Vesperia: The idea called for three specialty roles in Astra. The Apostles would remain the air-dominance unit, with two additions-- a fleet component, and an air cav element. [18:51] Aryte Vesperia: I am definitely in favor of diversifying Astra. My issue with this idea arises with attemptying to find enough diversity to justify an "air cav" element, when that role traditionally fits when Astra/Terra are working together. [18:52] Aryte Vesperia: This is something that will largely need to be explored with Mr. Normandy, his command elements, and myself. [18:53] Aryte Vesperia: Questions thus far? [18:53] Steeltael Lykin raises paw [18:53] Aryte Vesperia: Lykin? [18:54] Acheron Gloom: ddd 200 [18:54] Steeltael Lykin shouts: Comment or suggestion: It is useful to create a chart of the personnel within your squads levels of activity and or times of availability. This helps schedule those squad level event's and helps to ensure there is coverage for as many people as possible. [18:56] Aryte Vesperia: Couple more to go over: [18:57] Aryte Vesperia: "Battle buddies." [18:57] Aryte Vesperia: Already on it! Coming soon to an ART near you. [18:57] Aryte Vesperia: "Inactive population on region enforcement." [18:58] Aryte Vesperia: I am within the agreement that folks shouldn't just .. leave their character online while they go to bed. [18:58] Aryte Vesperia: But I also don't want to penalize folks who are, say . . alt-tabbed in Blender making cool stuff. [19:00] Aryte Vesperia: I have no doubt Mercury already has the capability technology wise-- so it is likely we'll put some sort of tracking mechanism in place that simply sends people nastygrams after they are idle an extended period of time. I would wager that period of time will be set reasonably high so as not to antagonize builders or folks simply working. [19:01] Nova Ansar (fox.cheri) raises paw [19:01] Aryte Vesperia: Cheri? [19:03] Nova Ansar (fox.cheri) shouts: Would it be an idea to have a confinement area somewhere in the Citadel where AFK'ish, or nonactive people can leave their avatars? It is not fun to rush through the Lounge for instance, and find a bunch of people talking, and when asked to get on defense, get the message that they are either AFK or doing other things? Not only does it render a problem for the NC/OIC who needs to figure how many resources there are to dabble with, but it also works a bit as a demoralizer to see such situations happen. A suggestion would be the area below the meeting area here be designated for such. [19:04] Maverick Garfield raises his hand [19:04] Aryte Vesperia: Mmm, yeah that wouldn't be an issue. [19:04] Aryte Vesperia: Garfield? [19:04] Maverick Garfield: Could they just go to Chronus? [19:04] Aryte Vesperia: That'd be crappy if we wanted to use C hronus for combat, etc. [19:04] Tatyana Kiznetsova (kaska.czarny) raises a hand. [19:05] Aryte Vesperia: Last one. Czarny? [19:06] Tatyana Kiznetsova (kaska.czarny) shouts: Sir, couldn't something similar to the idle OIC timer be done? The main difference being it applies to everyone, and if you answer no or take too long to respond your avatar is moved to this special area. [19:06] Aryte Vesperia: I am not sure if it's possible to force teleport with current tech. [19:06] Aryte Vesperia: But with the new HUD, likely doable. [19:07] Aryte Vesperia: Running long tonight and we still have Mr. Bleac's comments to hear. So I am going to save the rest of these for later. [19:07] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Bleac? [19:08] Ron Bleac shouts: I'm here to talk about combat leaders. What it means to be a combat leader and why we need more of them. As you've seen, Aryte's working on getting a system going, but we're low on blood and bone. [19:08] Ron Bleac shouts: A combat leader is anything from a low level NCO to an officer rank in the Ordo, but rank doesn't make you a combat leader. Being a combat leader is taking responsibility, assuming command and co-ordinating ongoing combat. A combat leader leads from the front, not from the back. He's there with his men, swinging a sidearm back and forth whilst delegating tasks to his forces. Combat leaders are daring, smart, but most of all: Tough as nails. [19:08] Ron Bleac shouts: Being a grand tactician or strategist does not make you a combat leader. There's a lot more to it than just that. But most of the time, grabbing a flag or a banner and spearheading the assault is enough. A combat leader is a person people will follow, regardless of their avatar choice, accent or country of origin. You will be followed due to your leadership qualities, not because of what or who you are. On the battlefield, things such as relationships, arguments, debates or other personal matters are not of importance. [19:08] Ron Bleac shouts: Raid leadership and raid attendance here in the Ordo functions on a volunteer basis. We're all volunteers here and we're all here for the same reason: To have fun. 90% of that fun comes from raids and other combat scenarios. Combat scenarios are orchestrated by combat leaders, who carry ultimate responsibility in the success or failure of a combat mission. Combat leaders have different styles. Some rule with an iron fist, others with a soft voice and a gentle pat on the bum. Personally, I prefer the prior. I have a 9mm, hollow point authority. But I am also fair in judgement and very short on ammunition. [19:09] Ron Bleac shouts: Combat leaders are unique people: They have different personalities, different traits and different ideas, each leading to a different outcome or at least greatly affecting the end result. Being a combat leader grants you the unique opportunity of having a community within a community: A group of people that recognize you as a capable leader and attend your raids regularly. You make more acquaintances and more friends. In short, when people recognize you as a leader they flock to you. [19:10] Ron Bleac shouts: We need volunteers. But I'm sure you all have a couple of questions, especially the new folk. [19:10] Ron Bleac shouts: What is it like being a combat leader? Well, that's a long story, but I'll focus on why most people *don't* want to be combat leaders. After that everything else is fairly obvious. [19:11] Ron Bleac shouts: The #1 fear of potential or current combat leader is this: The fear of failure. [19:11] Ron Bleac shouts: Are you afraid of leading? You probably are, if you're not, you should be. Leading a group of people is extremely terrifying, but that's part of being a leader. A good leader overcomes his or her fear and takes his group to victory, or failure. You should be in bed with your fear of failure. Here, let me burst your bubble. If you're going to be a combat leader: You will fail, eventually. But mounting that grand, final "fuck you and fuck everything" bayonet charge against fortified enemy positions to die in a blaze of fire is what makes it all worth it. The group of people following you into the fight will make you eternally grateful to yourself for volunteering. [19:12] Ron Bleac shouts: The #2 fear of the combat leader is this: The fear of bitching, whining and accompanied negative vocal outbursts. [19:12] Ron Bleac shouts: Yes, we all do it. We all scream obscenities when we get really frustrated with things happening on the field, but we all need to remember the following: Solidarity and unity can destroy any gun battery, smash any fort and kill any opponent. When people group up around you and express their willingness to fight and die next to you, you realize that a combat environment is different from a regular in-world environment. [19:13] Ron Bleac shouts: Also, READ FASTER. I NEED TO GO TO BED. :[ [19:13] Ron Bleac shouts: You may have your personal differences with people, but you will all get along. If you don't, you should strive to. [19:13] Ron Bleac shouts: Yes, there will be people there that just want to cause you grief. Yes, there will be people there who just want to make you seem like a shit leader or just be a pain. [19:14] Ron Bleac shouts: But as Henry the 5th said at the battle of Agincourt, "Brother, proclaim it Westmoreland through my host, that he who has no stomach for this fight, let him depart. His passport shall be made and crowns for convoy put into his purse. We will not die in that mans company who fears his fellowship to die with us." [19:14] Ron Bleac shouts: In other words: Haters gonna hate and they can gtfo, 'cause they're pussies. [19:15] Ron Bleac shouts: Nobody's forcing them to attend, but if they volunteer just to cause shit, they can go join VG. That said, there will rarely be a scenario where you have to discipline people. Luckily enough those same people hold their manhoods so cheap, you will rarely have to bump heads with them. [19:15] Ron Bleac shouts: Still reading? Great! [19:15] Ron Bleac shouts: #3: Social impact. [19:16] Ron Bleac shouts: Another concern I've run into in regards to new combat leaders is the reputation factor. This is closely related to the negative things you might run into during raids, such as the previously mentioned troublemakers. Reputation doesn't matter much, but let me burst your bubble again: People will talk behind your back, in a group such as large as us it is bound to happen. But as in the previous paragraph, they hold their manhoods cheap. [19:16] Ron Bleac shouts: But in the Ordo environment, it doesn't matter. We are all equal here, take that to heart. [19:17] Ron Bleac shouts: Those who engage in such activity are often the ones who are commanders of very little and will eventually find themselves in a pickle, unless they change their ways. Because people will find out, resulting in long speeches at meetings. [19:17] Ron Bleac shouts: (I'm looking at you.) [19:17] Ron Bleac shouts: Those who attempt to break the Ordo's unity, equality in combat and outside of it are people who are ultimately responsible for defeat. Hurpdupr, pretty counter-productive to a group centered around combat. [19:17] Ron Bleac shouts: All in all, it has its own problems but it's nothing that can't be overcome. You can all do it. You've been accepted into the group, which means you can do it. [19:18] Ron Bleac shouts: That said. Moving on to another thing in this little spiel of mine: [19:18] Ron Bleac shouts: Being a leader puts you in the unique position of being directly responsible for the enjoyment of Ordo's population, as stated before. This means that you're the #1 reason the people who like to do combat are happy. [19:19] Ron Bleac shouts: You have no reason NOT to volunteer for a combat leadership role, any man, any woman who has vocal chords can do it. Leadership will come naturally when the bullets start flying, you just can't teach it and make someone a leader with the flick of a wrist, but you can prepare for it. Every single person out there currently sitting in the audience has experienced combat of one sort or another. [19:19] Ron Bleac shouts: You are the grizzled combat veterans that carry the marks of war upon their skin, or the new guy who's already been through a baptism of fire. Maybe you haven't seen combat yet. Or maybe you're a Cadet. If you're the latter, graduate and volunteer. If you're the prior: What are you waiting for? Get to it! An E-1 can be in a combat leadership role in Armatura, which will put them on a fast-track to being a true combat leader. [19:20] Ron Bleac shouts: I would like to tell all of you folks who are currently Praetorian Guard candidates: You will be expected to lead and be an example. If the prospect of taking on a leadership role leaves you shaking like a tea leaf: IM me after the meeting, we'll have a chat. [19:20] Ron Bleac shouts: Being a combat leader is a great experience. To see your soldiers struggle forward under heavy machine gun fire, being ripped to shreds by mortar shells, bullets and other assorted anti-badass munitions leaves you devastated. You will see all the horrors of war: Men choking on their own insides, drowning in pools of refuse. [19:21] Ron Bleac shouts: Tanks, rather.* [19:21] Ron Bleac shouts: anks rolling across the open plains crushing everything in their path, all guns blazing in a desperate victory or death assault. Minefields killing and maiming indiscriminately. Incendiary bombs burning population centers. Powder burns, phosphorus injuries and what constant combat does to ones mind. [19:21] Ron Bleac shouts: Not Anks. [19:21] Ron Bleac shouts: But to see your men succeed, overcome all obstacles due to your leadership. To see them victorious is a feeling like no other. Even through all the death and grime of warfare, what gives you satisfaction is the knowledge that even though you have taken heavy casualties and made a sacrifice on Saturday by staying awake all night, you have completed your objectives. [19:22] Ron Bleac shouts: Not as one person, but as a group. [19:22] Ron Bleac shouts: And it is the most rewarding, the most amazing feeling in human existence that's pretty similar to the following: Getting married, having babies, making babies so forth. [19:22] Ron Bleac shouts: So, volunteer, you have nothing to lose except blood and sweat. Go through Armatura if you haven't done so yet and start looking into leadership options. It's a whole new world. [19:22] Ron Bleac shouts: We need leaders. Will you do your part? [19:22] Ron Bleac shouts: Thank you. [19:22] Aryte Vesperia: [ WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW MORE ... ? ] [19:23] Ron Bleac shouts: (Starship Troopers = <3) [19:23] Hokusai Otsuka Ronmark (hokusai.otsuka): (I claim exempt from making babies.) [19:23] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, Mr. Bleac. [19:23] Aryte Vesperia: I appreciate your words, as always. Meeting Closer [19:24] Aryte Vesperia: Promotions (titles included!) will be up tomorrow morning. Let's get some combat out tonight. :] Dismissed and have a great night everyone.

Terra [18:05] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Teron for Antesignani: Antesignani was quite active this week, engaging in both numerous defensive and offensive operations. More specifically, the squad enjoyed it's actions with the rest of Cohors A against CATI. We're glad to have one of our estranged members return to activity, but we do still have positions available in the unit. [18:05] SoulBinder Wolfstein: From Krow for Insidiae: Been a rather slow week. Waiting on the scripting to be done to start using the new course. The HUD and Carbine are nearly finished. Also we have a couple of new members Kishoshima Dragonash and Tala Springflower. Still have four slots open for new members. There's not much to report. Activity has dipped slightly because of the season, but a substantial number of raids have been carried out over the last three weeks. The roster is still fluid, but it's slowly solidifying with some strong and active group members. [18:05] SoulBinder Wolfstein: From Eriksson for Invictus: Phenomenal week for Invictus, excellent activity all around. A few trainings held by some of our members: A special thanks to Acheron/Pr0wer and Maverick for holding two seperate trainings this week! I'd like to give a warm welcome to our new inductee's: Ookamiwulf Lemton, and SirCorn Alter! Still on the look out for three new members, so if interested don't hesitate to inquire with Eriksson Foxtrot! [18:05] SoulBinder Wolfstein: From Typhon for Cohors B: More members, along with more activity, along with more PRF's, along with more stuff being planned, along with more repetition. Got cool stuff planned for the future as well as Brumalia coming up. Keep asking for those PRFs and keep up the activity! [18:06] SoulBinder Wolfstein: This concludes the varied reports from Terra. [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Schuman? Astra [18:06] Ethan Schuman shouts: Things in Astra this week have been rather calm. While we've had quite a few defensive actions, trainings, and our pilots are spending more time on base... we still don't see much action on foreign soil. This problem continues to plague us. The largest barriers we face are pilot activity level consistency, and the ability for our enemies to present an acceptable defense. In order to combat this, we will be taking a few different measures. The first will be an audit of pilot activity times. Basically, this will be an in-depth examination of what times people seem to be most available and interested in fighting. We'll take that data and try to develop a focus structure to base events around. The other measure we -will- be enacting is a calendar system, which allows Astra members to post activities up to 72 hours in advance, so people can plan on being there. Not only that, but with enough advance notification, we may be able to see more resistance from enemy pilots. The execution of both of these measures is s [18:06] Ethan Schuman: till being discussed (none of us were able to make it to the command meeting yesterday to wrap them up and implement them), so expect them Sunday evening. [18:07] Ethan Schuman: (They'd be up right now, but we want to make some final revisions). [18:07] Ethan Schuman shouts: That's all for us this week. [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any additional reports for this week? [18:07] Corsi Mousehold raises her hand [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Mousehold? Tactica [18:08] Corsi Mousehold shouts: This week in Tactica. A great deal of Changes on the board. Ironostics closed, rebuilt, and reopened. Delta Force is looking to rebuild soon, Sturmkorps is rebuilding. Not only that but there are two new groups out there. Excercito Brasilieiro and Acheron Industries. The latter of which officially bears no relation to the Tactica member Acheron Gloom and it is respectfully requested to stop asking him. Moving on we are introducing Sebris to the team as our standard Pilot and he will be adding Astra notatioins for tactics on the field. The biggest news we have is that Chthonic Syndicate has reopened thier doors ... and they have a very nice mall. Rules, landmark and all the usual are set up on the Tactcia board and it is for now, remaining an Imperator level target. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any additional reports? [18:09] Zero Itamae raises hand. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Itamae? IEA [18:09] Zero Itamae shouts: For the IEA: Highly active week for our magistrates. Large number of classes held in both Schola and Armatura now that the new Armatura is up and running smoothly. Now our main focus is turning to fixing up Schola to update it on a few of the more recent chances. Beyond that, we will be working on getting a good kick start into the Imperial Ludi. We will be opening up two Director roles there with the purpose for creating and maintaining academies as well as other various tasks in the IEA as a whole. And lastly, we have three instructor roles left to fill in the IEA so if you are interested, just contact myself or Corsi directly or just post in the forums under the IEA heading. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Final call. Any additional reports for this evening? [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent, moving right along. Keynote Topics [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: We will be moving pretty quickly here. Perhaps a shortish meeting! However, several topics to cover. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: First up: recap on the implementing of the daily goals. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Over the week, we have been toying with the "goals" system. Thus far, it really has not seen any enforcement .. and it's doing quite well. We've seen a pretty strong increase of activity across the board. Training and offensive deployments are both on the rise. [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: In short: so far, so very good. I'm pleased with the success. As we iron things out, a bit more investment will be placed in attempting to meet the goals. We've averaged 2.2 raids a day this week: now let's push it up to three. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Arokh brought up something on Ventrilo I'd like to tack on to this: [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Three folks still qualifies for a raid-- so the early morning command: if you're having problem finding "big" targets, who cares? Hit every group you can find. Three is enough to consitute a raid. [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Moving right along . . [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: For those of you who pay attention to the forums, or, hell, coms at this point, you've likely picked up on the "omg scripts are bad" murmuring. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Let me just underline something here: the post I made about "let's shoot for no more then 30 a person" is not a hard-in-stone-die-if-you-aren't call. It is just a general awareness for everyone that unneeded scripts kills a lot of resources for us. If someone's script use if off the charts, leave it up to the powers that be to deal with it. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Otherwise, just shoot to keep your own script impact as low as possible! [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: No, Liam. There is no Script Inquisition. [18:18] Liam Macalroy: xP [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Questions thus far? [18:19] Tsume Xiao Raises hand paw thing [18:19] Tsukiyomi Yuhara raises hand [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Xiao? [18:20] Tsume Xiao: I just want to make a few comments. First off, I kinda saw this comming when Aryte annouced the scriptlimit. [18:20] Tsume Xiao: I have seen this before with OMG ARC, and OMG SCRIPT TIME [18:21] Tsume Xiao: It is not, a contest [18:21] Tsume Xiao: I have already seen people going around bragging "OMG MY SCRIPT COUNT IS LOWER THAN URS LOLOL I WIN" and already know that several epople have been pestered into constantly checking scripts/script times [18:21] Tsume Xiao: Yeah, Sure. I can lower my scripts to like, 5 or some crazy crap. [18:22] Disembodied Hand raises hand [18:22] Tsume Xiao: BUt before you go stripping off items like an emplooyee of a gentleman's club, relalize that OMFG SCRIPTs can get pretty pointless and dumb [18:23] Tsume Xiao: Stop and look at what each script does. [18:23] Tsume Xiao: Ok, So weapon X has 7 scripts. What do they do? They function the weapon and break apart the function for smoother more reliable running weapon. [18:23] Tsume Xiao: Now, Things like your tail, yeah, you can pull tehm out. [18:24] Tsume Xiao: But do not down your combat effeciency for OMG 3 SCRIPTS! [18:24] Tsume Xiao: /end rant [18:24] Tsume Xiao: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/9921-tsumes-guide-to-reducing-scripts [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: Yuhara? [18:24] Tsukiyomi Yuhara: for clarification, are you looking at equipment as well, for example, would Boost pack, Drop Pod, and a AA12 be included in that recommended 30. As per your forum post it says a Avatar shouldn't have more than 30. if gear alone has 15, that would in essense make the recommended amount 15. ;o Just for more clarification. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: No. "Needless." [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: "Neeeeedless." [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: I need my gun and jetpack to stomp faces. [18:25] Tsukiyomi Yuhara: ok :D [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Hand? [18:27] Disembodied Hand shouts: Just two things of note, first is stop bugging EMs, I have placed script scanner in the build area and you can go stand by that and get the info you need. Aswell, # of scripts doesnt necessarily mean script time is high. I have 34 scripts and run with a lower time than most people, just sayin. [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: A scanner already exists in the radar room. [18:27] Disembodied Hand shouts: will remove then, but use that and dont bug EMs either way. [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: Hahah. [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: All right, movin' along. [18:29] Tsume Xiao: I call Dibs [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Meet the Tyrant. [18:29] Huttser Ishelwood: Mine! [18:30] Ookamiwulf Lemton: falls asleep [18:30] Disembodied Hand: Its not hovering, obviously you didnt add blinker fluid. [18:30] Arokh Takakura: Will it marry me? [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Hahah. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Shhh. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: The Tyrant is replacement and the start of our new modular line to replace our current vehicle line. [18:30] Liam Macalroy: Ooh, a series of ovals and spheres. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Replacement of the MBT, rather. [18:31] Tsume Xiao: I just updated that :( [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: Upon it's introduction, the Tyrant will replace both the Ultor and the Ira. [18:33] Tsume Xiao: ;-; [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: Its variants will phase out all of the other model vehicles. [18:33] Tsume Xiao: ;---------; [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: Unlike the current MBT, it will be able to seat a secondary gunner. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Permitting additional firepower with the addition of a turret gunner. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: We will be putting this vehicle into use as soon as possible. Its variants are planned later in the build cycle. Coming up next is the Interdictor dropship. (missed comment here?) [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: Indeedly do. [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: Now. [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: Going to go ahead and shelf the next topic for next week after losing my train of thought from a billion IMs. [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: As promised: short meeting. [18:41] Tsume Xiao Raises hand [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Xiao? [18:44] Tsume Xiao: As of late, Display Names have become more and more common. However, something needs to be addressed about the appropriateness of chosen display names. When you have a Display Name on, it is shown directly under your Ordo Imperialis tag, and thus directly links you to the group: without firing a gun or grunting some silly 40k phrase. This means that our allies, our enemies, even a common passerby. This means that you need to think about what you have as your name. Things like a slight name adjustment (Like Nikki's) or a Nick name ( Like erikkson -> Kiwi Foxtrot) are totally cool, but think twice about names that are, well just down right stupid, like "CAPITAIN MURRPURR (Firefox >:() or "DAS JUDEN" or other stupid shit. Keep it out of your display name when you are representing Ordo. [18:45] Aryte Vesperia: Heh-- I do not particularly care what folks opt to put in their display name. [18:45] Aryte Vesperia: However, food for thought. Meeting Close [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Now. [18:47] Aryte Vesperia: Post-meeting raid seems to already be lining up-- getting lots of requests. So I won't need to comment on that, hah. [18:47] Aryte Vesperia: Promotions will be up by tomorrow. [18:48] Aryte Vesperia: I will be running off for a bit after the meeting, however will likely be loitering on Ventrilo (in about twenty minutes) if needed. [18:48] Aryte Vesperia: Have a good night. Thank you all for coming, as always. I appreciate you taking time out of your Saturday to loiter around and listen to me ramble. [18:48] Aryte Vesperia: That said. Dismissed and be well. [18:48] Aryte Vesperia clasps his fist to his chest, presenting a salute.
  14. My apologies for this being a little late in addition. I was distracted, and it also didn't help that my viewer pooped out a couple times. :<
  15. ~ORDO IMPERIALIS~ OFFICIAL DOCUMENT <=====================Extend to this length=========================> <===========================================================> **********Meeting Report********** NAME/RANK/DIVISION: Dascede Aluveaux | E-5; Vexillarius | Astra ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DATE: 27 November 2010 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SUBJECT: Main weekly meeting. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SUMMARY: Weekly developments and diplomacy; upcoming officer selection; material and personnel structure updates, etc. ============================================================ CHAT LOG: Meeting Opener [18:22:45] Aryte Vesperia: Let's get this party on the road. [18:23:00] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Obligatory starter, as always: welcome to this week’s meeting. Per the norm, please be certain to hold all questions and comments until provided the opportunity to speak. Interruptions will result in dismissal from the gathering. When you are provided the chance to speak, be sure to /shout/ your comments or questions—otherwise the recorder may not hear you. Thank you: let’s get to it. Imperator's Report [18:23:53] Aryte Vesperia: Members: 313 Cadets: 3 Applications New: 18 Accepted: 2 Denied: 10 Review: 6 Combat Defensive: 80 Offensive: 15 Allied Assist: 0 [18:24:20] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic notes for this week: recent combat interactions have seen an interesting shift away from the common “foe.” TAC, although built on the prospect of challenging us . . has largely stopped being the challenge. Events regarding TAC are low across the board—very limited deployments on either side. Rather, our focus has become Erebus. Both defensively and offensively, we have begun, essentially, an unexpected campaign against the group. Combat has been very enjoyable thus far, so, here’s to hoping! Divisional Reports [18:24:25] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? [18:24:34] Nrom Normandy steps forward on behalf of Astra. [18:24:35] SoulBinder Wolfstein raises his hand for Terra. [18:24:39] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Normandy? Astra [18:24:50] Nrom Normandy shouts: Ethan Schuman's report for this week: [18:24:58] Nrom Normandy shouts: Firstly... holy CRAP have we been active. We saw a fair amount of air combat defensively against Erebus, and quite a few of our pilots proved they can kick just as much ass on foot while participating in a number of actions both offensive and defensive. Even considering the holiday, activity and participation are quickly approaching the point where reactivating a third flight may not only be practical, but necessary. This is something we discussed in our command meeting yesterday. [18:25:06] Nrom Normandy shouts: One of the routes that we had talked about was putting the Apostles back into their own flight. We decided against this, so they will remain a special purpose strike team for now. However, they will be getting a bit of a facelift and a theme image. Right now we're thinking along the lines of... well, it's something involving priests and Warhammer 40,000. I have no idea what it's called myself, you'll have to ask Blaze. [18:25:13] Nrom Normandy shouts: We've had some more additions to Astra, but we did lose Johann Wilberg, our Reapers XO. As his replacement, we have appointed Disembodied Hand, who has shown both interest and talent. Congrats on your new position, Dis. [18:25:20] Nrom Normandy shouts: Our members continue to refine our training, with the new Palaestra curriculum finished, and new obstacle courses also in development. We're also making some technological progress, with two new Thanatos weapons nearing completion, and a patch to the Predator to reconfigure the interface based on pilot input. Dis also hopes to start on the assault shuttle soon, but don't pester him about it. If you do, I'll shave your tail with a combat knife if you're a furry, and shoot you in the face with a paintball gun if you aren't. [18:25:27] Nrom Normandy shouts: The last thing I want to bring up is outside combat association between pilots. Now, some might take an approach as to make organized forays into RP sims and whatnot, and those ventures have been successful in the past. I'm not going to do that, though. This isn't really a formal initiative, but I'd like to make an appeal to all Astra personnel to interact with one another whenever possible. I don't care whether it's an RP sim, or a round of Bad Company 2, or even just a few rounds of Greedy Greedy or some other SL board game. If you're doing something (Ordo appropriate) that you think would be more fun with some friends, call up some fellow Astra to come join you. [18:25:35] Nrom Normandy shouts: For my (Nrom's) closing, I wish to remind every member of Astra to regularly check the forums on a daily basis. I have made extra effort to communicate the decisions and goals of the Astra Administratio every week on Sunday with our Weekly Discussion thread. To this date I have not seen this means of communication fully utilized. I would like to see each active member of Astra try to respond to that thread during the week to at least acknowledge that you have read it and you are aware of the announcements contained in it. Also use it as an opportunity to ask any questions you may have in regards to Astra. [18:25:40] Nrom Normandy: This concludes the weekly Astra report. Thank you. [18:26:45] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you very much. Terra? Terra [18:26:53] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Teron for Antesignani: Not a whole lot to say, squad was active at home and abroad as per our usual. Earlier in the week we did launch an offensive against SK, which we would like to thank the rest of Cohors A for coming to assist with. That pretty much covers Ante this week. [18:27:07] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Krow for Insidiae: Activity is steadily increasing! Starting to do more squad raids and planning to get one going at least once a day. Training has also started and will continue! Winterz is currently working on a new course for Insidiae to train in once we get our new equipment. Had some more members removed from the roster. Currently in the process of looking at new potential members. Five positions remain. [18:27:23] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Eriksson for Invictus: Extremely active week for everyone in Invictus. Three new inductee's definitely showing their talent and fitting in just fine. Invictus went on a training to New Jessie on the 19th of November, it went exponentially well, New Jessie Admins had to send out two notices to even attempt to recapture NJ. As for participation raids: Invictus was sent out to join Antesignani on a raid to Sturm Korps. Raid went extremely well, phenomenal team effort with everyone who participated. In other news this evening: Invictus has two slots open, be sure to express your interest to Eriksson Foxtrot if looking into the option! [18:27:38] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Typhon for Cohors B: Another average week at Cohors B, nothing much happend this week as many people took the weekend and week off to relax and enjoy their holiday with Turkeys (haha Canada/UK). Nothing else to really add except that activity is going up--oh look, Erebus is attacking. Anyways, have a great day etc etc, get those PRF's in! [18:27:50] SoulBinder Wolfstein: These conclude the various reports from Terra. [18:28:17] Heather McKay raises her hand. [18:28:50] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:28:55] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Mckay? Officium Curia [18:29:38] Heather McKay: A quick statement from Curia, please remember Zero Tolerence is in effect. Secondly those of you who have applied to be consiered for lictor positions, interviews I hope will start tomorrow for those positions. [18:30:20] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [18:30:24] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports? [18:31:30] Aryte Vesperia: Very good. Moving on. Keynote Topics [18:31:38] Aryte Vesperia: Topics this evening: [18:32:02] Aryte Vesperia: > Update Notes [18:32:40] Aryte Vesperia: Back in October, a meeting was held to gather up ideas pertaining to development and Ordo progress going forward. Let’s retouch on the areas we covered: [18:33:37] Aryte Vesperia: - Armaments: requests were made to see the Praeda phased out, increased melee weapons, and further artillery development. To date, the Praeda has been entirely replaced with the Predator—the Predator itself is soon to be provided an updated model and brought into a better standing. Melee weaponry wise: access to a riot baton has currently been granted to all members, while a combat knife is in the works. Artillery wise, we are a bit behind. We have tasked a builder to shape up a new mortar. We are simply waiting on that to be completed. [18:34:27] Aryte Vesperia: - Priority of major projects: power armor, mechs, or new tanks. The vote was balanced power armor and mechs, with power armor having some higher appeal. Power armor and new tanks will both be pursued. [18:35:09] Aryte Vesperia: - Priority of major projects: drop ship, fleet ship, or additional light aircraft. Drop ships won overwhelmingly. Development design has been established. However, fleet grade vessels will also be pursued. [18:36:32] Aryte Vesperia: -Detail on major project: new tank is first up to slate. Disembodied has all but finished the TI project for vending. The new Ordo tank has been dubbed the “Tyrant.” Much like our armor, it will be intended to follow a modular design system. The first vehicle, the MBT, will feature a few key elements: primary railgun, coaxial MG, and a secondary turret MG that will be functional with a passenger. [18:37:49] Aryte Vesperia: > Officer Interviews [18:38:46] Aryte Vesperia: Although the time scale for this is essentially indefinite, it should be noted that the interview process has begun for officer candidates. There has been a pretty strong turn out of OCA packets. Each individual who submits one will be eligible to participate in an interview. [18:39:28] Aryte Vesperia: They will be scheduled over time, as opportunity allows-- it requires squeezing in a session with the officer staff during their weekly meeting. [18:40:31] Aryte Vesperia: As a fair warning, candidates should expect . . just about anything. Questions will range anywhere from scenario, to elaboration on past events, to challenging anything the officer may feel worth bringing up. [18:41:17] Aryte Vesperia: Questions thus far? [18:41:22] Sebris Montpark raises paw [18:41:26] Aryte Vesperia: Montpark? [18:41:28] Steeltael Lykin raises paw [18:42:05] Sebris Montpark: Regarding the entrance of fleetships. Does this mean the rebirth of Navis or is this Strictly an Astra Project? [18:42:35] Aryte Vesperia: It will remain in the Astra inventory. [18:42:41] Sebris Montpark: Alrighty [18:42:47] Aryte Vesperia: Lykin? [18:42:48] Steeltael Lykin: Will canidates be contacted prior to weekly sessions, Will there be mass interviews? Is this a matter of a single interview per weekly meeting? [18:43:36] Aryte Vesperia: Yes, candidates will. Arokh Takakura and Eriksson Foxtrot are the first victims. Interviews are one at a time, with each candidate facing a quorum of officers. [18:44:19] Aryte Vesperia: Moving right along: [18:44:33] Aryte Vesperia: > CDF Use [18:45:36] Aryte Vesperia: The CDF has . . found its first member. Fatalitywolf Firehawk. It seems to have taken the role as a conditioning force in his case-- he seeks to join the Ordo, but account age has limited him. As a reminder, CDF may be armed with OIC permission and may participate in combat with OIC permission. [18:46:00] Aryte Vesperia: It is . . more then likely Fatalitywolf will wind up just getting a vouch and summarily conscripted, but, in the meantime, try not to scare him off. [18:46:23] Aryte Vesperia: Questions there? [18:46:32] Maverick Garfield: congrates [18:46:58] Aryte Vesperia: Next up: [18:47:01] Aryte Vesperia: > “Goals” [18:47:33] Aryte Vesperia: This is something that the Merczateers utilize . . and I really like the idea. It's extremely simple, but simple in a good way. [18:48:10] Aryte Vesperia: Basically, the Merczateers aim to have X number of raids, X number of trainings (etc) daily. Officers check off things on a public list as they're accomplished. [18:49:21] Aryte Vesperia: I'm cooking up our own "Goals" list. Our raid activites are already on a steady rise, but I'd really like to encourage it to go on. Some sort of perk could be associated with completing goals . . simply haven't thought of it (other then making me happy). [18:49:50] Aryte Vesperia: Questions? Open Discussion [18:50:22] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional topics to bring up this evening? [18:50:36] Anlysia Gregoire: Can I do my rant now? [18:50:51] Aryte Vesperia: What rant? [18:50:56] Anlysia Gregoire: The CoC one. [18:51:02] Aryte Vesperia: Fine. [18:51:35] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: Okay so this is less of a rant and more of a reminder, but, I want to tell everyone about something. [18:52:08] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: Recently I was informed of an issue where a person under my purview wasn't doing their job, and instead of having it escalated to me, instead the issue was sat-upon and people got pissed in silence. [18:52:32] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: That's not what's supposed to happen. Literally every single person in Ordo except Aryte has a Chain of Command. The person who you go to when they fuck up. [18:53:04] Typhon Perun raises a hand. [18:53:08] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: Whether it's a Terra, Astra, Munitorum, Curia, or any other matter...if someone isn't doing what they should be, go upward. Don't just sit on the issue and get mad, get it dealt with. [18:53:38] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: Everyone will be happier in the end. (That's it.) [18:53:50] Aryte Vesperia: Huzzah. [18:53:57] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you for your input. [18:54:02] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional topics this evening? [18:54:20] Anlysia Gregoire: Typhon looked like he wanted to say something. [18:54:20] Steeltael Lykin raises hand [18:54:28] Aryte Vesperia: Typon? [18:54:43] Kiyaru Kanto raises hand [18:55:44] Typhon Perun shouts: In regards to what Alysia mentioned, what if you are in a position to note some behaviour and note to the person that it looks negative to others. And that person tells you to go someone outside there command structure to complain about it? [18:56:27] Typhon Perun shouts: I asked as this has happened, and continues to be a problem. [18:57:03] Aryte Vesperia: Go to the person a step above them, then. That would be the best option. [18:58:08] Aryte Vesperia: Lykin? [18:58:12] Steeltael Lykin shouts: OMG Chronus Update: The physical build for chronus, both the ground and complex levels is complete. 99.9%! Awaiting scripting of objectives before combat testing of the entire build is undertaken. Remember to explore teh build. You may have to defend it one day! comments, suggestions, or hate mail about the voidscape are all still welcome [18:58:37] Steeltael Lykin shouts: Thats it from me [18:58:55] Aryte Vesperia: Yay. [18:58:56] Aryte Vesperia: Kanto? [18:59:33] Kiyaru Kanto: Just to make it clear, this is not a joke! I wanted to propose we make an Aryte day, and on this day where we'll all drink coffee everyone one in ordo will dedicate their day to helping the ordo improve as a whole, as Aryte tries to do for us on a daily basis. Will be finishing up entering in database. [19:00:33] Aryte Vesperia: After w hich, I am leading a raid. [19:00:38] Aryte Vesperia: 30 minutes from now. Imperator's Report [18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Statistics: Members: 320 Cadets: Applications New: 15 Accepted: 1 Denied: 12 Review: 2 Combat Defensive: 84 Offensive: 14 Allied Assist: 2 [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic events this week . . . hm. All in all, a relatively quiet time span. There really is not a great deal to note. However, there has been a notable rise of discovered or re-opened groups—such as Erebus. To date, all of which are marked hostile and will be targets in combat. Furthermore, Zagan Empire has apparently tanked. Their members have dispersed among groups; however there is some talk of a redesigned, less “diplomatic council leadership” version in the future. For the sake of humor: diplomatic wishy-washy leadership in an autocratic setting never works. [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Just. For the record. Divisional Reports [18:03] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? [18:03] SoulBinder Wolfstein raises his hand for Terra. [18:03] Aryte Vesperia: Wolfstein? Terra [18:03] SoulBinder Wolfstein shouts: From Teron for Antesignani: Had a good training run on Wednesday focused on sustained unit strength. As always the squad maintained heavy presence on the defensive line; and Ante lent it's support many times to our offensive actions. Openings in the unit are still available, so feel free to let us know if you are interested. That's all for Antesignani. [18:03] SoulBinder Wolfstein: From Zrazor for Insidiae: Slow week for the most part, I've mostly been playing catch-up since my vacation, but a raid or two have transpired during the week. Initiatives for next week include purging our roster of inactives and resuming recruitment and updating the crossbow. [18:04] SoulBinder Wolfstein: From Zanndor for Invictus: Mediocre week. Had a few raids over the weekend with some Invictus personnel on board, great work everyone. Eriksson held a Cohors A raid on Friday, October 22nd 2010; great turnout on that with excellent results! Looking forward to getting involved in more of those in the coming weeks! In other news: A command shift that you all should be aware of: I (zanndor Aeon) am no longer the CO of Invictus. I am now the XO, and Eriksson Foxtrot is the CO. The switch was to allow me to focus more on other things, so please congratulate Kiwi. Lastly: Three slots open for Invictus, if you're interested then feel more than free to elaborate and take initiative by contacting one of us! [18:04] SoulBinder Wolfstein: From Typhon for Cohors B: From a glance at the activty list all in all things seems to be on the uptrend, but with the holidays coming up this could change in a heartbeat. All in all not a bad trend. Meetings seem to be a bit down, but it's nice to see they are still being attempted at the least. Reports are showing a more positive trend across the board then the usual. [18:04] SoulBinder Wolfstein: These conclude the various reports from Terra. [18:04] Aryte Vesperia: I am being attacked by my friend's kitten. Appropriately named Vader. [18:05] Tuqiri Breen: Fluffy kittens [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, Wolfstein. Next? [18:05] Corsi Mousehold waits for Astra. 18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Do we have a representative present for Astra? Astra [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: I shall speak on their behalf, then: [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Astra: operationally, doing quite well. Picked up several new pilots last week-- well, transfers from Terra, really. Astra is always looking for some experienced members, so, if you are interested, feel free to nudge me or any Astra officer. Even if you wish to simply give flying a shot: we'd love to let you check it out. [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Astra is looking forward to some technological plans in the near future-- such as a revamped dropship. Until then, business as usual. [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Next? [18:07] Corsi Mousehold raises her hand. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Mousehold? Tactica [18:08] Corsi Mousehold: For Tactica. The winds of change have hit the grid like before. Two new militaries have come into our sights. They are 2R.E.P. with a French Foreign Legion feel, and Polaris as well. Some of the Polaris members have already met and gotten in touch with a few Ordo. Both militaries have had contact with Tactica and it's projected things to go rather smoothly. We have had a victory at 2REP already. Went in with four of them on defense and two ran away. ... Anyway. 2REP, AUL, BSM, Phoenix Embers, and Raven Raiders all have new or updated reports up. We have been busy little beavers over here. In fact we've been so busy, Tactica has passed our halfway point. Including the closed bases, more than half of the folders now have reports in them. So raid command? Read the reports. Oh and looks like SLAD will reopen REALLY soon. [18:08] Corsi Mousehold: Moving on we will be working on combat general strategy documents to keep some of out more paperwork hungry individuals fed. These will be appearing next to the Tactica Military board in their own little folders as they are completed. Things like Fire teams, proper charging attack formations. The use of higher ground when it comes to SL combat, Flanking tactics, and so on. Things that a raid command will be able to keep in mind when assaulting a sim to acheive their goals efficiently. Lots of things in the works for us and that concludes it for Tactica! [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Awesome. Thank you. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports? Keynote Topics [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Awesome, moving right along: [18:09] Kristian Kit: Curia ran out of denial stamp ink, we need new [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Haha. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: I. Touch on November 5th. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: To begin: thank you everyone who dropped by yesterday. It was especially awesome to have so many of you present. I appreciate all the kind comments about the quality of the speech. I look forward to putting our major motions into place for the coming year. There is quite a lot for us to accomplish, but I have no doubt that we will be more than capable of seeing it through well before the intended time goal. I believe Ron Bleac has something to add. Mr. Bleac? [18:10] Ron Bleac: Yes, sir. I had a little tiny speech as well, that I'd like to read! [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Go right ahead. [18:11] Ron Bleac shouts: Soldiers, sailors and airmen of the Ordo Imperialis! [18:11] Ron Bleac shouts: Yesterday, we all gathered to commemorate the birth of a great society. A warrior society composed of people from all walks of life, from many nations, from many religions and ethnicities. A warrior society that has effectively established a solid presence in the Second Life military community through blood, sweat and tears. [18:11] Ron Bleac shouts: It's been a tough road, most certainly. From battle to battle, everything from magnificent invasions to hard fought defensive battles here on Titan. Before my time the Ordo has lost many a man, but gained more to replace her casualties. However, some individuals have stuck to the group. Quite a few indeed. From the smallest E-1 to our greatest O-5s. [18:11] Ron Bleac shouts: It is this core group of individuals that the Ordo leans on. Akin to a pyramid, we support ourselves on an extremely strong cornerstone. Veterans of many years, these men, some have been here from the very beginning! To think that a man would spend so much time on such a silly thing as a video game, to shoot people with little to no gain. What is it that makes us do this? The thrill of winning? Perhaps. [18:12] Ron Bleac shouts: But to myself, there is nothing quite like standing next to a man who is willing to put everything on the line for both the Ordo, and anyone in it. I like to think that when a man enlists in a military he forms a sort of bond to not only the organisation, but to everyone in it. [18:12] Ron Bleac shouts: A bond impervious to bullet, shrapnel and shell. Whilst our frail bodies may be tossed by explosion and stabbed by bayonet, whilst our minds may be distressed by the events around us, we unite under a single banner and fight to the last round of ammunition. Around this center block of extreme endurance and will, we gather and hold fast against strong and brave enemies who seek to defeat us on the field of battle. Through good and bad, this group of individuals has held out through thick and thin, fighting for the good of the Ordo and those in it. Such fierce loalty and dedication is extremely admireable. [18:13] Ron Bleac shouts: We always defend the sanctity of our sovereign state of Titan, whatever the case. When other militaries turn and run, or leave their home undefended whilst they raid, the Ordo always maintains a steady presence, as if a Guard at the tomb of an unknown soldier. [18:13] Ron Bleac shouts: This is.. another thing that I find extremely valuable. Whilst this may seem like it has no value, it does have such. The simple fact of us defending our homes constantly creates that value. We have never, and will never lose a battle. The Imperator's office WILL remain undesecrated. [18:13] Ron Bleac shouts: An enlistee in the Ordo once said to me: "I'll follow you to hell and back." It was during a raid briefing, if I remember correctly. Whilst this is a virtual word, loalty means a lot to me because I like that kind of thing. A troop cannot fight without loalty, or a bond that connects them. To an outsider in this world it might simply seem like a tag over our heads, it's much deeper than that. [18:14] Ron Bleac shouts: To know that someone is willing to go where you go, every step of the way, is an immense feeling. It touches your heart. To know that such a person will take his battle stance even in the latest hours of the night, or earliest hours of the morning makes me feel warm. [18:14] Ron Bleac shouts: It may seem stupid to some, perhaps even most, but I feel extremely accomplished after defending for multiple hours against waves and waves of attackers. I hope you do too, if you've ever been there! And to know that those few who stepped up to the task and helped you during late nights, took your hand when you fell and pulled you back up again. Sent you back into raging, lag-tastic battle! Fought tooth and nail against all odds, side by side. It warms my heart. [18:14] Ron Bleac shouts: I look at every man and woman here and my chest is filled with immense pride. I have been here for little more than a year, but I know every one of you. Some of you I know better, some of you I have just met. Your dedication, discipline and bravery shine as a star above this community. [18:15] Ron Bleac shouts: You are the best troops that a man could fight with, and you have a damn fine leader. I have not seen a man more reminescent of a Field Marshall of old than Aryte. And I have not seen troops more reminescent of noblemen of past centuries than you lot. [18:15] Ron Bleac shouts: Soldiers, sailors and airmen of the Ordo Imperialis! [18:16] Ron Bleac shouts: You have fought countless battles, died and lived a thousand times, rushed into thunderous artillery barrages only to emerge unscathed. You have displayed nothing but valor and courage in the face of the enemy. You have ignored the insults and slander of those who seek to harm us and have elevated yourself and the Ordo to something unbreakable. You have turned your hearts to grey stone in times of trouble and tended to your duties, no matter what the cost! In all my life I have not fought with a finer group of soldiers. [18:16] Ron Bleac shouts: For many more years to come! [18:16] Ron Bleac shouts: Hip hip, HUZZAH! [18:16] Arokh Takakura applauds. [18:16] Kristian Kit: huah [18:16] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Wow, way to make my speech look like shit. Very well said. [18:17] Ron Bleac shouts: Thank you. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: That was an impressive speech. Thank you. Going to pause a moment to give everyone a moment to read. Very touching. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Round of applause for Guardsmen Bleac, please. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia e-claps. [18:19] Afevis Sodertelge claps. [18:20] Awanken Wasp claps [18:20] SoulBinder Wolfstein strikes his fist against his armor in appreciation. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Awesomesauce. Let's keep to it. I am tempting fate with this internet, haha! Very good. Moving on, my folks. [18:20] Tala Spingflower claps. [18:20] Zack Teichmann applies indecent levels of clappage to the already noisy scene. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: II. Mini-update on changes. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Rather then bore you with hours of repetitious updates, let’s just briefly recap on what to expect in the near future. [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: First: promotion system expansion. All of the paper work is basically completed. Simply waiting on the opportunity to coordinate with Firefox to implement the backend—admittedly I have been a bit lax in whipping him to get his attention. We’ll be sure to remedy that. [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: Secondly: as mentioned, material development is really taking a primary focus. All available effort will be pushed into seeing the region build completed, or at least in a useable form before the first of the year. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Third: increased focus on practice/training routines going forward as planned. Armatura 2 slated to be rolled out within the coming days. After which, review will be done of current Schola practices to ensure the transition is as effective and smooth as possible. [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: III. Activity / inactivity standards. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: As we have reached a fairly significant cushion in numbers, the culling process is going to be kicked up a notch. With our primary goal of achieving a higher sense of activity in mind, we will continue with the current practice of eliminating individuals who have been determined “unlikely to return.” [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: For clarity, a system of sorts has been developed to really make the discretion between “inactive” and “not returning.” We evaluate a series of elements—such as whether it was an announced inactivity, logging in/logging out recently, and visitation to Titan. Individuals who express any interest or show any interest in participation, or individuals who provide an announcement prior to inactivity are pretty safe. Folks who vanish and do not communicate with their command will be chopped, in order to ensure our membership numbers are as accurate and relevant as possible. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: If you are concerned, at any time that a bout of inactivity will result in culling: don’t be. Simply communicate that you need some time and you’ll be fine. We wish to keep the group as amicable as possible, so no one will be penalized for . . . well, life’s habit of happening. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: IV. Looking ahead: next week. [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: For the next seven days or so, my presence will be relatively the same; however I may be less reachable when not online and not able to devote a lot of attention to major projects. In short: I will be on vacation with Keller. Feel free to nudge me if you need to bug him next week, on that note. [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: Moooving right along, wot wot. [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: V. Potential revision to upper level structure. [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: .. Oh lordy, what would the Ordo be without constant revising? I am considering taking the initiative to make some changes to our upper echelon. By that, I mean I am considering of rethinking how we have command and divisions separated. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: It is far too early to make the call, however I am wondering if we’ve reached a level of size that more distinguishing can be made between our divisions—such as classifying parts of Terra or units in Terra as mechanized versus “light infantry,” or even breaking up the core divisions (Astra/Terra) a bit for sensible administration. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: Time shall tell! [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: Last topic for tonight: [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: VI. Comcast is the devil. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: My internet is fucked. I should be back up to normal speed tomorrow. I am currently bootlegging my friend's internet. So I'll probably .. not be around for a couple hours tonight, unless my net pops back on. Meeting Closer [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: That said: promotions'll be up either late this evening, or tomorrow. Feel free to send me extra until then. Raid wise, I'll leave it in the hands o' my capable raid minions, if they feel up to it. Ooor if my net comes back, I'll pull one myself. [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: Good (short, surpisingly) meeting. Thanks for coming. Pardon me while I go beat on my router while I wait for a technician. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia clasps his fist to his chest, presenting a salute. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Bye guys! Have a good night if I don't pop back in. Be good. [18:37] Nikki4 Aquitaine shouts: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/10199-sim-cleanup/ -- READ THIS.
  17. Hahahaha. I can't even imagine a hand that looks like that.

If there is anything that you all need, don't be afraid to nudge someone. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: That said, let's touch on development updates: [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Some minor stalling for Disembodied Hand while he sorts out a computer issue. Otherwise, a good deal of progress has been made on outstanding projects. Mr. Xiao has made a lot of headway on both Ordo and Titan items-- such as the AA12 and the remaining engineer pack. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: In addition to which, as Astra mentioned, a good deal of work has been done on a replacement model for the current Praeda platform. We are, however, waiting on pending updates for the mortar and Adjudicator. Tentatively, we will likely be replacing the Subjugator model as well. [18:14] Arokh Takakura: :< [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: As I understand, the creator of the Subjugator model "accidentally" provided a copy of it with permissions to one of the folks at Erebus. So, as good of time as any to replace it. [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Questions or any individual updates to make in regards to development? [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: We're just under a week shy of November 5th. For those of you unaware, that is a pretty special day for the Ordo. It's our founding day. [18:27] Arokh Takakura raises his claw. [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: It falls on a Friday. That evening, at 7:00 PM, we will have a gathering to commemorate the time. I apologize for folks in timezones .. not so friendly to that hour, however that's the earliest I can manage. [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: I will remind you all throughout the week about the event. Two additional comments in regards to scheduling. Foremost: Halloween tomorrow. We'll remain functional for the day, however you may feel free to get into the spirit and dress in costume. Tasteful costume, I add. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Secondly, from the 7th to the 15th I will have some schedule restrictions. I'll be around to check in and provide administrative support, but not working on any major projects or the likes. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Still reachable in all the usual means. Probably relatively close to a computer if needed. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: .. ugh, this is tedious. Latecny is extreme. I need to go stomp someone at Comcast. Apologies if I am slow. I am literally, slow. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Latency, rather. [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: Going to run through the next topics fairly quickly, provided my net doesn't die. Some kudos due: [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: Unit leaders: across the board, pretty happy with the increase in activity and functionality in all of my units. Terra and Astra alike. Thank you all for taking your groups so seriously-- really loving how active the B units are, even. To add: Astra transfers, thank you all for jumping over to give Astra a hand. We always make great use of our seasoned pilots. [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Combat raid leaders: seen a variation from the usual schedule of raid leads-- thank you to those stepping up. Lot of good raids came down the pipe this week. I am looking to keep that momentum up, as we push ever onward with the leadership courses. As a reminder, those enrolled, I will be doing a mass "part 2" at 5:00. Otherwise, I'll keep tracking you down to do a one on one session before we start "part 3." [18:44] Aryte Vesperia: Armatura: as I mentioned on the forums, thank you to all of the folks involved in redoing the Armatura class set up. I am really excited to see the new curriculum in place. I have no doubt that the courses will improve the overall membership expertise. As a sidenote, if you're in progress of Armatura . . get in touch with a magister and get it hammered out before the switch, that way you're grandfathered in. [18:45] Aryte Vesperia: Euro members: you guys are awesome. It means the world to me that so many of you are like "fuck sleep" and stay up for certain functions. I apologize my work schedule makes it so hard for me to run major administrative elements during your timezone. I'm open to suggestions to help there, so feel free to shoot me notecards. [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: That said . . I am going to cut my two major topics. They will bring debate and a lot of questions (they're good ones, mind you, so no worries). I won't be able to keep up in the lag. I'll plop them on the forums this weekend. [18:48] Aryte Vesperia: If you will all pardon me, I'm going to reset my router and then call Comcast to complain. I'll be back . . hopefully, in a short bit. Someone may feel free to organize a raid in my absence. Otherwise I'll try to nab one when back. Promotions'll be up eventually (tonight, maybe . . ;d DUN GET UR HOPES UP HUTTSER). [18:48] Desereck Creeggan raises his hand. [18:48] Aryte Vesperia: Creeggan? [18:48] Huttser Ishelwood: >:[ [18:49] Desereck Creeggan: In regards to Armatura, classes have already been frozen so you can not continue within the current curriculum. Waiting for Zero to get on and give me the notecards with transfer permissions and half of our Magister team will have the 2.0. [18:49] Aryte Vesperia: Oh, noted. [18:50] Maza Rau: Where the party at next weekend? Meeting Closer [18:50] Aryte Vesperia: All right. Best of wishes to you all. I'll be back in a short bit. Or in 25 years after I murder a Comcast employee. [18:50] Huttser Ishelwood: x3 [18:50] Fox Cheri: hehehe [18:50] Huttser Ishelwood: Just check your IM quick boss [18:51] Aryte Vesperia: I'd salute but you'll crash me with your salutes. [18:51] Maza Rau salutes and proclaims, "Imperatori vitam meum tribuo!" [18:51] Tsukiyomi Yuhara: >.> [18:51] Maverick Garfield salutes. Ubi Concordia ibi Victoria [18:51] Carter Blackrain salutes! [18:51] Stirn Aurotharius salutes! [18:51] Desereck Creeggan: BEGIN THE SPAM [18:51] Hessel2008 Inglewood salutes! [18:51] Typhon Perun salutes, "The immortal emporer is with us, and we are invincible" [18:51] Trinity Heckroth salutes. "Non timeo Draconis." [18:51] Afevis Sodertelge salutes and boldy states "Si vis pacem, para bellum." [18:51] Aryte Vesperia clasps his fist to his chest, presenting a salute.

  20. ~ORDO IMPERIALIS~ OFFICIAL DOCUMENT <=====================Extend to this length=========================> <===========================================================> **********Meeting Report********** NAME/RANK/DIVISION: Dascede Aluveaux | E-5; Vexillarius | Astra ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DATE: 16 October 2010 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SUBJECT: Full discussion; regular updates. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SUMMARY: Ordo full-member discussion think-tank. ============================================================ CHAT LOG: Meeting Opener [18:01] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Obligatory starter, as always: welcome to this week’s meeting. [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Statistics: Members: 310 Cadets: 3 Applications New: 14 Accepted: 2 Denied: 10 Review: 2 Combat Defensive: 93 Offensive: 7 Allied Assist: 0 [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic occurences this week: EE teetering on the brink of hostility once more, in response to failure by their HC to discipline junior members . . who've taken a liking to attempting to troll Ordo personnel via prank calls. [18:03] Wulf Lykin raises a paw [18:03] Aryte Vesperia: Otherwise, an excellent match with 2142 early this week, resulting in what 2142 explained as "the first time anyone's ever pushed us back on this build." Kudos to the team and team leader (Huttser Britishdude) who pulled it off. Divisional Reports [18:04] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? [18:04] FireFox Breed rises his paw for Terra [18:04] Ethan Schuman raises his hand to beat out FireFox, who is still trying to sp.. damnit [18:04] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Breed, from the land of Terra. Terra [18:05] FireFox Breed: From Teron for Antesignani: Slight activity dip for myself the squad as a whole. Working on a few new training exercise ideas for A-2 and the Cohors as a whole. Roster is full. [18:05] FireFox Breed: From Zanndor for Invictus: Slow going week. Desereck Creeggan has resigned from Invictus, and we wish him well. Now leaving three [3] open spots. A lot of you have talked to me (or E.Foxtrot) and have stated your intrest, and if not; Get to it! We will give people who are intrested about about 1-2 weeks (Depending on how many people are intrested) to be reviewed. If you have any questions feel free to IM me (Z.Aeon). For the Invictus personal, expect some raids and training throughout the week. This concludes the Invictus report. Thank you. [18:05] FireFox Breed: From Thatguy for Cohors B: Another great week filled with PRF's to Activity from both the CO's in managment and their soldiers with projects/raid time. Inactives have been contacted a week ago, ones who haven't responded, will be moved on to Cohors C. We have more plans for the upcoming week as well as some fun changes to help you and your Ordo career (Cohors B people). [18:05] FireFox Breed: N that is it for Terra. [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Schuman? Astra [18:06] Ethan Schuman: This week in Astra has been somewhat eventful. Activity levels are down, but we're going to be working on that. First off, I'd like to thank Drasamax for her role in the stress test on Sunday. I don't think there was a single member of Ordo who DIDN'T have a blast. I'd also like to congratulate Dascede on her new place as an Apostle. Her record of performance in Astra is exemplarary, so she is sure to bring a lot of constructive additions to the group (like her design for a new maze that has been approved). While our air combat interaction with other groups is down, it pleases me to see how many members of Astra are taking advantage of the down time to keep their skills sharp. I encourage all of you to stay active, as you never know when another military's airforce (like Zagan's, hopefully) will take off. Pardon the pun. Oh, and Disembodied has been doing really good work. He deserves a shout out. That's all from us for this week. [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any additional reports this evening? [18:07] Corsi Mousehold raises her hand [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Mousehold? Tactica [18:08] Corsi Mousehold: For Tactica: And the reports have been flying in like mad since last week. Plus two new people. Welcoming Marc Gravois and Bradley Petrov to Tactica. Marc will be handling the CATI report once they have reopened, Bradley will be working on special project 3D basic Maps for objective systems and they will be added into the folders as well. This brings the team count to 14 out of 15 with only one slot remaining in the group. In a shocking turn of events, </sarcasm> Section South East is looking to be closed for good and all the Raven Raiders that had left are back to bungle in Jungle. SLAD and SK have closed for renovations and the Tactica CO is crying a little inside as those both hers to rewrite when they reopen. Three more reports have been filed on the board this week. Crysis, K-Brigade, and Kratus Mepita are up and I am told at the writing of this report that we will have EE and 2142 completed in the next day or two. All in all, Tactica command is overjoyed at how well and how quickly everything is progre [18:08] Corsi Mousehold: ssing. [18:09] Corsi Mousehold: And that's it from Tactica.\ [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Awesome. Any additional reports? [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: All right then, moving right along. Keynote Topics [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Tonight, we are going to do something a bit unusual for the meeting. Instead of listening to me ramble for an hour about updates and projects, I want to hear from you all. We all know there's new stuff being worked on, updates to be had, blah blah, et cetera. However, those can all wait until next week. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Tonight, we're going to spend some time doing a sort of think-tank. No debates, just producing ideas for the betterment of the group. We'll worry about debating and semantics when that bridge is to be crossed. [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: The format will be a bit more loose then usual: do not worry about raising hands and waiting for me to call on you. I will provide a category and you provide the feedback. [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: Do not be shy: you won't be stoned or made fun of if your idea is terrible (Thatguy). [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: If you have categories of your own, by all means, offer those as well. [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Without further adieu. Let's go ahead and start with a gigantic can of worms. Armaments. What can the Ordo Imperialis benefit from in the way of armaments? [18:15] Ethan Schuman: Casual friday and hawaiian shirts for everyone \o/ [18:15] BurrWolf Qin raises a paw [18:15] Mark Karlfeldt: More themed weaponry, including our own muskets. [18:15] Ron Bleac: More service rifles. [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Once again, speak freely. [18:15] Ethan Schuman: (Mercury joke) [18:15] Fox Cheri: Melee weapons, others than the thunderhammer [18:15] Vash Ghostaltar raises hand [18:16] Ron Bleac: Working. Me-lee weapons. [18:16] Steeltael Lykin: Vash Ghostalter, From B-2 has expressed a interest is working on Ordo muskets,. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: (As in, don't raise your hands.) [18:16] Corsi Mousehold: I added a Melee weapon [18:16] Wulf Lykin: smoke grenades as a standard issue [18:16] Eriksson Foxtrot: For the musket raids: Custom uniforms, custom muskets w/ bayonet + charge. [18:16] Maverick Garfield: shotguns [18:16] Vash Ghostaltar nods at steeltael [18:16] Corsi Mousehold: I gave Aryte the L{ong Sword and it works like a bawss. [18:16] Typhon Perun: A shoop laser that I can fire from my mouth.. just kidding. [18:16] BurrWolf Qin: Arty (75mm and 105mm) scripted lil better [18:16] Nrom Normandy: Retire the Praeda. Get the Predator in full distribution with an actual locker in the armory. [18:16] Theodore Belgar isnt surprised Maverick said that. [18:16] Arokh Takakura shouts: More melee. [18:16] Ron Bleac: Navis. [18:16] Ethan Schuman: Nrom: Being done right now, actually. Scripting while we talk. [18:16] Tuqiri Breen: A medic TP hud o.o [18:16] Fox Cheri: Navis is a good one [18:17] Marc Gravois: Some underslung grenade launchers ~ [18:17] Nrom Normandy: Awesome to hear, sir! Thank you for that! [18:17] Ron Bleac: Yes, more Navis. [18:17] BurrWolf Qin: more training, more tank trainers. CQB Training [18:17] Keller Teichmann: Burr, arty's being rebuilt, or at least the mortar is. [18:17] Kiba Rubble: a medic TP hud would be nifty, indeed. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Armament is the topic. [18:17] Keller Teichmann: (just texturing it) [18:17] Huttser Ishelwood: Navis, more fleetships [18:17] Ethan Schuman: You all are not funny. [18:17] Ethan Schuman: Unless you're being serious [18:18] Huttser Ishelwood: I'm serious :P [18:18] Mark Karlfeldt: Also, I'd honestly suggest increasing the delay between grenades on the HUD, if possible. Currently it's quite easy to just spam the fuck out of them. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Noted. [18:18] Keller Teichmann: I'm not building a fleet / gunship until mesh comes out. :[ [18:18] Corsi Mousehold: I keep hearing Melee Weapons over and over. Kyra and I have been working on a sword, The Long Sword for quite a while and it is completed and turned in. I gave a full perm version to Aryte already and as I understand it is waiting distribution. [18:18] Fox Cheri: I am thinking such in the style of mechs... Smaller mechs for standard infantry use [18:18] Nrom Normandy: that's a good point about the grenades in the HUD too, we're not allowed to use them in new jessie, is there anything that can be done to either get an alternate set to use there? [18:18] Corsi Mousehold: Fox I think a power suit was in the works. [18:19] Marc Gravois: power fist melee weapons, for when you really wanna smash someones teeth through the back of their head [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Noted. [18:19] Acheron Gloom: Well, Melee /weapons/ is more than just a sword to be honest, though it is an extremely useful and appreciated contribution. [18:19] Ron Bleac: Ordo revolvers and additional side-arms to go with said me-lee weapons would be cool. [18:19] Corsi Mousehold: Marc if we need to do that we just use Arokh. [18:19] Maverick Garfield: desert eagle to Ron's comment. [18:19] Mark Karlfeldt: Fuck no. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Okay, let's throw this question out: more or less use/allowance of third party armaments? [18:20] Keller Teichmann is working on revolvers, for TI and OI. [18:20] Ethan Schuman: Less [18:20] Zerowinged Vasiliev: Anything to add to the roleplay value of Ordo? We have really good weapons (Props Muni.) why not focus on asthetics? >_> *ten cents* [18:20] Ethan Schuman: Much less [18:20] Jason Backer: Less [18:20] Corsi Mousehold: Less [18:20] Mark Karlfeldt: I think it's good how it is right now [18:20] Arokh Takakura shouts: Less. [18:20] Kiba Rubble: Less, or as it is now. [18:20] Wulf Lykin: it would be nice if the M14 comes out as a ordo weapon [18:20] Huttser Ishelwood: More [18:20] Ethan Schuman: Unless it's TI or Ironsight [18:20] Maverick Garfield: more [18:20] Fox Cheri: Hmm. less. [18:20] Ron Bleac: Well if we want to decrease the amount of third party armaments we use I suggest we proper well make weapons to fit in the lot that we're losing by decreasing the amount of 3rd party gear. [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: So, less, provided additional Ordo weapons are available? [18:21] Mark Karlfeldt: Decreasing the usage of 3rd party weapons won't go down well unless you can fill the gaps left by them. [18:21] Ron Bleac: Yes, imho. [18:21] Arokh Takakura: Agreed. [18:21] Huttser Ishelwood: Ordo L85 would be nice :D [18:21] Maverick Garfield: would titan be considered third party? [18:21] Aryte Vesperia twists his mustache. "Mm~ understood, mmyesss." [18:21] Theodore Belgar: Same or less. The gear we have now, or are coming out with, serve us just fine. [18:21] Zerowinged Vasiliev: More, if the tolerance is controlled. [18:21] Wulf Lykin: keep it like it is or bring out more titan and ordo weapons [18:21] Corsi Mousehold: I think just Ordoand TI are fine. [18:21] Steeltael Lykin: I think our weapons shouldnt be based on real world modern firearms. Considering the "futuristic" nature of the group. [18:21] Acheron Gloom: Hm, whats the point of disallowing third party weaponry as long as it is approved through munitorum and Curia? [18:21] Ron Bleac: And make what's OK and what's not OK more public and transparent, put it somewhere on top instead of burying it amidst the forums. Perhaps something in the Munitorum or Curia forums would work well, because I bought a C7 Operations Storm Assault Rifle for 800L$ and discovered I can't use it. [18:22] Mark Karlfeldt: Seraphim and Fairlight, though? [18:22] Fox Cheri: Ordo, TI and FL seems reasonable if you ask me, and stick to that. [18:22] Corsi Mousehold: Guys. Once the caseless guns are out, no one will be worrying about what gun to use. [18:22] WolfShaman Warrior: We recently gutted all our future tech from our armory [18:22] Preston Smythe: i semi agree with steel [18:22] Corsi Mousehold: Fairlight are kinda .... Script heavy. [18:22] Andriste Nesiote: Fox, you forget ISA. [18:22] Acheron Gloom: Also, with regards to the C7, I recall Merczateers doing a test on it and it was recorded as a firing script time of 0.02, not 0.15 as on the database, so they were kind of annoyed by that. [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: Excellente. [18:22] Mark Karlfeldt: Dude, I like a double barreled shotgun or a bolt action rifle sometimes. [18:22] Keller Teichmann: Aye, CWs are replacing some of the future weapons, and I'll be working on more once they're done. [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: (As a side note the C7 is fine.) [18:22] Zerowinged Vasiliev: ^ This (Mark) [18:22] Ron Bleac: (<3) [18:23] Ethan Schuman: Yes I do, Hessel. =p [18:23] Fox Cheri: A banning of frag rounds from Ordo / Opposing Forces? [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: So a large, dynamic asenla. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Aresnal, rather. [18:23] Acheron Gloom: Whats the point of disallowing third party weaponry as long as it is approved through munitorum and Curia? [18:23] Corsi Mousehold: Can We just ban all Frag weapons? Please????? [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Okay, next question: [18:23] Corsi Mousehold: PRETTY PLEASE???? [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on. [18:23] Mark Karlfeldt: It's pretty unfair to restrict the weapons based on which company is buddy-buddy with us. Honestly I do like it how it is now. [18:23] Ethan Schuman: Well, if we're looking to expand our arsenal, then we really have to consider how we're going to make weapons stand out from each other. [18:24] Zerowinged Vasiliev: [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on. [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: If you had to choose one of the three, would you prefer: sculpted tanks, power armor, or heavier mechs? [18:24] Mark Karlfeldt: Tanks [18:24] Dascede Aluveaux: tanks [18:24] Andriste Nesiote: Power Armor. [18:24] Kiba Rubble: power armor [18:24] Arokh Takakura: Power armour. [18:24] Awanken Wasp: Tanks [18:24] Huttser Ishelwood: Tanks [18:24] SirCorn Alter: tanks [18:24] Marc Gravois: tanks [18:24] thatguy Andel: power armor [18:24] BurrWolf Qin: power armor [18:24] Eriksson Foxtrot: Power Armour. [18:24] Tuqiri Breen: Power Armor [18:24] Fox Cheri: Powerarmor [18:24] Zerowinged Vasiliev: Powered Armor [18:24] Preston Smythe: power armor [18:24] Typhon Perun: I would say all of the above. [18:24] Jason Backer: Power armor. [18:24] Kyra Vixen: Power armor. [18:24] Arokh Takakura shouts: Power armour [18:24] Corsi Mousehold: Power Armor [18:24] Vash Ghostaltar: power armor [18:24] Bradley Petrov: Supa trupa armor [18:24] Huttser Ishelwood: Tansk [18:24] Typhon Perun: Power armor though. [18:24] Kiba Rubble: terminator armor ftw [18:24] WolfShaman Warrior: Abstain [18:24] Ethan Schuman: How about "Mesh power armor because mesh will be out soon and is better anyway"? [18:24] Huttser Ishelwood: *Tanks [18:24] Drasamax Python: Power armor [18:24] Tsukiyomi Yuhara: more scarlets in power armor? [18:24] Typhon Perun: NOT RIDING THE TRAIN! [18:24] Aryte Vesperia cracks up. [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: Okay, next: [18:24] Wulf Lykin: tanks, the rest is cool but way to big [18:24] Tsukiyomi Yuhara: thats two stones with one bird! [18:24] Acheron Gloom: What about mesh tanks because mesh will be ut soon and is better anyway, especially for non-attachment objects. [18:24] Arokh Takakura shouts: Bigger armour? <3~ [18:25] Acheron Gloom: So [18:25] Acheron Gloom: tanks [18:25] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Moving on. [18:25] Corsi Mousehold: We already have a good array of tanks. Tsume is rescripting them all already. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: If you had to choose one of the three, would you rather: a new dropship, a fleet ship, or an additional light aircraft? [18:25] Huttser Ishelwood: Fleet [18:25] Tuqiri Breen: Fllet ship [18:25] Mark Karlfeldt: Dropship [18:25] Jason Backer: Fleet ship. [18:25] Eriksson Foxtrot: New drop ship. [18:25] Arokh Takakura shouts: Drop-ship. [18:25] Kyra Vixen: Fleet. [18:25] Kiba Rubble: New dropshp [18:25] Fox Cheri: Fleetship [18:25] SirCorn Alter: No opinion [18:25] Maverick Garfield: dropships [18:25] Corsi Mousehold: How about we hear what ASTRA wants?? [18:25] Andriste Nesiote: no opinion. [18:25] Ethan Schuman: Assault shuttle is happening regardless. [18:25] WolfShaman Warrior: Drop [18:25] Typhon Perun: tank capable dropship [18:25] Nrom Normandy: drop ship [18:25] Drasamax Python: dropship [18:25] Preston Smythe: dropship [18:26] Wulf Lykin: fleetship [18:26] Steeltael Lykin: Fleet ships are Dead. Dropship. [18:26] Huttser Ishelwood: Fleetship that can ass drop Ira's :D [18:26] Vash Ghostaltar: dropship [18:26] shippo Coba: Flight Armor :P [18:26] thatguy Andel: Navis. c: [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Overwhelming saturation of Astra wants a dropship. [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Hm. [18:26] Eriksson Foxtrot: Drop ship because the fact that the current one doesn't handle quite to par, and the fact that fleet ships... aren't necessarily used. [18:26] Corsi Mousehold: WAIT.... Drasamax wants a new Drop ship. THat's what I want then,. [18:26] Dascede Aluveaux: Yeah, dropship. [18:26] Mark Karlfeldt: If you want a fleetship, u dumb. [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Excellente. [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on,. [18:26] Acheron Gloom: Drop Ship [18:26] Corsi Mousehold: Drasamax is the Drop Ship QUEEN of the Ordo. [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional armament topics before we change? [18:27] Fox Cheri: A triplebarrelled ballistae? Just joking [18:27] Jason Backer: Attachments as unlocks, build a gun yo? [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: Hell yah. [18:27] Arokh Takakura: Hand-held ballistae. [18:27] Huttser Ishelwood: More arty [18:27] Wulf Lykin: more grenade launchers [18:27] Huttser Ishelwood: Self proppelled Ballistae [18:27] Kiba Rubble: How about a new astra century that uses enhanced jetpacks, instead of airplanes. Sort of like assault packs, enablling them to fly for extended periods of time. These would ofcourse be counted as vehicles for legality [18:28] Huttser Ishelwood: Oh and a decent MLRS [18:28] Corsi Mousehold: Need guns with attachments. [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Interesting, Kiba. [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Hm. [18:28] BurrWolf Qin: MLRS seconded [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Haha, oh lord. [18:28] Kiba Rubble: It would add an extra "elite" century to astra, next to the apostles [18:28] Arokh Takakura: Back-pack based missle silo. [18:28] shippo Coba: oooo [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Next topic: [18:28] shippo Coba: ^^ [18:29] Mark Karlfeldt: Why does the Comms pack even have the option for the laser designator when we never use thanatos? [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Next topic: [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Training related. [18:29] Corsi Mousehold: More Structured In house skirmishes. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Wait for the question. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Lol. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Starting from square one. Schola: is Schola an adequate introductory program? What should be added? Should it be . . harder, easier, stay the same? Should the minimum join age (five months) be increased/decreased/stay the same? [18:30] Arokh Takakura: Increased. [18:30] Eriksson Foxtrot: Increased. [18:30] Huttser Ishelwood: Stay the same [18:30] WolfShaman Warrior: More combat phases [18:30] Corsi Mousehold: Too easy. [18:30] Acheron Gloom: Stay the same. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: So I know what you're talking about. [18:30] Eriksson Foxtrot: Increased, and harder. [18:30] Andriste Nesiote: Schola definitely needs another combat training phase. [18:30] Acheron Gloom: More combat, stay the same. [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: Complete sentences. [18:31] Zerowinged Vasiliev: Needs a immediate update w/ notecards, Increased [18:31] Tone DeFarge: I say stay just make it a little tougher.... [18:31] Ethan Schuman: Stay the same. Don't fuck with something that works well as it is. [18:31] Kiba Rubble: Stay the same. [18:31] Preston Smythe: same with more combat phases sounds good [18:31] Arokh Takakura: Increase the minimum joining age. [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: Hahah. Increased and harder. ACCEPT ONLY 1 OUT OF 20 CADETs, RATHER THEN 1 OUT OF 10. [18:31] SirCorn Alter: I thought it was pretty easy. 2142 had easier tests but harder performance tests. [18:31] Typhon Perun: Schola needs things like secondary tests in case a cadet fails a exam. Retaking the same exam is pretty much a giveaway for that phase. [18:31] shippo Coba: i say more hands on wor rather than a bunch of text [18:31] Corsi Mousehold: Schola right now is far too simple. There is very little in it that describes and gives a feel of our day to day goings on. [18:31] Arokh Takakura: Make it harder. [18:31] Andriste Nesiote: But if we do that, Aryte loses a food supply. >_> [18:31] Arokh Takakura: I need MORE FOOD. [18:31] Andriste Nesiote: arokh I meant. [18:31] Ethan Schuman: Maybe make a provisional "probationary" enlistment thing like E-0.5 for people who are under the age but want to participate. [18:31] Huttser Ishelwood: The avatar age can stray the same, 5 months is enough to weed out the immeidate noobs [18:31] Acheron Gloom: Schola minimum join age should remain the same, and we should also add more combat phases with more teaching rather than just throwing cadets at eachother. [18:31] Nrom Normandy: Everything is fine for Schola. The program is of nominal difficulty. It serves its purpose to introduce everyone to what they need to know as full members. The 5 month requirement is fine. It removes new people. Most people never even make it in, we accept maybe 8% of applicants that go through Schola's application process. [18:31] Wulf Lykin: i think the time limit on the examns should be none, though it shouldnt take a cadet longer than two days to finaly make it [18:32] Mark Karlfeldt: Make speaking fluent English an absolute requirement. I'm not trying to be racist, but like, it's pretty god damn hard to communicate with someone who has to speak through a translator. [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: SirCorn: I'd love if you'd detail for me wh at about 2142 was more difficult. [18:32] Drasamax Python: Yes, some gaps could be filled though like some weapons or vehicles could be added to the waffle board we don't ever talk about, Stay the same [18:32] Kyra Vixen: A note, the principles of the IS notecard needs to be updated. That is, Form S-4, the version used is from May. [18:32] Eriksson Foxtrot: Harder for the sake of more thorough learning process. [18:32] Fox Cheri: I would say that Schola needs another combatphase or two, as well as perhaps a bit more elaborate materials in referrence to the handbook and essays written for this purpose and for explanation. [18:32] Eriksson Foxtrot: Also, a revamp of the examinations. [18:32] Zerowinged Vasiliev: [TLDR ver. of my original post] Revise the notecards that are currently in use - Increase the join age - Make acceptance standards harder. [18:32] Marc Gravois: Make schola more practical matters, rather than historical, psycological and rule quoting. Put knowing the rules a requirement of your application, so that they know the rules before even joining. [18:32] Kiba Rubble: Why not merge schola with armatura straight away if It's going to be more "combat oriented" [18:32] Nrom Normandy: Armatura is intended to be the combat focused one, Schola is focused on the handbook, so no need to add additional combat phases. [18:32] BurrWolf Qin nods to Kiba [18:33] Zerowinged Vasiliev: More strict*, rather. [18:33] SirCorn Alter: They had me go through two obstacle courses, one was walking along a thin winding path through obstacles, the other was more varied. [18:33] Arokh Takakura: More discipline. [18:33] Arokh Takakura: Focus on rules and behaviour. [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: I have envisioned the following: [18:33] SirCorn Alter: The second had obstacles like invisible wall mazes, problem solving, etc. [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: Schola (BASIC) training graduation-> E1 -> Straight to Armatura - > Qualified for E-2 on graduation. [18:34] Steeltael Lykin: Set better Expectations of commitment during Schola. Lots of people finish schola and instantly burnt out and stop participating when they get their gear. And I'm tired of moving E-1's into Cohor's C. [18:34] Jason Backer: A two tier system could be effective in keeping numbers the same, but bolstering a greater quality of member. [18:34] Huttser Ishelwood: Less people for me to watch and send notecards too \o/ [18:34] Jason Backer: Giving a "Light Ordo" something to aim for and the "1337 Ordo" something to keep [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: Hm . . [18:35] Tone DeFarge: Turn the notecards into videos! [18:35] Arokh Takakura: Instructional videos. [18:35] Arokh Takakura: ftw. [18:35] Mark Karlfeldt: Maybe give people a trial period, where they have less obligations and they can choose whether to stay or leave. [18:35] Nrom Normandy: I think part of that burn out is giving people phase 1 - 6 in one day, it should be spread out a bit more. [18:36] Tuqiri Breen: Schola is pretty long but its good when you finish the last exam I think its okay as it is when i do exams in other milit theres only 1 exam and you dont learn much but with ordo they have 5-6 [18:36] Andriste Nesiote: Agreed, Nrom. The people that try to speed their way through get burnt out too fast. [18:36] Typhon Perun: I would still like to see somethinglike the NCO-A incorprated more in to the mainstream then as ludi. the material is handed in already, just haven;t heard anything about it since I handed in those materials. My only reason for this is because I still see new NCOs that seem to have a vauge idea of what they should look foward to. The NCO-A I wrote is ment to address that problem, and let them know what is expected of them and educate them how they can best achive those long term Ordo goals and such they have. [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: Would you all prefer the military approach? Direct assignment to advanced training/no placement into unit before completing Armatura? completing Armatura? [18:36] SirCorn Alter: I like the trial idea [18:36] Eriksson Foxtrot: I, personally, spread my phases out for two per day to avoid possible burnout. [18:36] Drasamax Python: I ask my cadets if they want to continue when completing a phase, they usually say yes though. [18:36] Fox Cheri: I like that idea Imperator. [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: Feasibly making Armatura their "unit" until completion? [18:36] Maverick Garfield: Personly I just like getting shit done with [18:36] Wulf Lykin: also more introductions of terra and astra to give the person some ideas what they are precicely and speak about their doing and what they can use [18:36] Zerowinged Vasiliev: I like that idea actually. [18:37] Zerowinged Vasiliev: Train first, etc." [18:37] Dascede Aluveaux: ^ Wulf [18:37] Acheron Gloom: I like that, too. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia twists his mustache~ [18:37] Dascede Aluveaux: Need more divisional intro [18:37] Mark Karlfeldt: Agreed. [18:37] Nrom Normandy: That is how Astra is handled, trainees are not given assignment to flights until passing the first three flight phases of Palaestra. [18:37] Eriksson Foxtrot: If we did training first, we'd need some sort of set people to oversee that they are progressing. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Devious~ [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: MM. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent, ok. [18:37] Tsukiyomi Yuhara: Honestly, Had I not been placed in a squad, and not had someone to go to, I wouldn't be so active. My CO helped me alot as far as staying in and being an active member [18:38] Typhon Perun: I'm still wanting to get NCO-A off the ground, I think it's a good idea, and it can help. [18:38] Ethan Schuman: Honestly, I want to see two "Armaturas". One would be the traditional one, one would be the Astra one. You pick which branch you want to go through, you go through that division training, and then you go through Armatura 2, which would be like a current affairs, diplomacy, IS principles in depth, etc. [18:38] Corsi Mousehold: That would combine Schola and Arma and .... I would have alot of wortk [18:38] Tsukiyomi Yuhara: Other than my friends I had in already [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: My ping is 17k. Wow. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Anywho. [18:38] Ethan Schuman: Schola, Terra training, Astra training, and then refinement should be four seperate entities. [18:38] Tsukiyomi Yuhara: and my CO and squad, I was lost as hell when I joined not to long ago [18:38] Mark Karlfeldt: I hear Aryte in vent as "AHA...... .... .... AHAHAH .... .. .. ... .. AHA" [18:39] Ethan Schuman: ALSO! 18:39] Aryte Vesperia: Interesting idea, however. [18:39] Ethan Schuman: I think any person in Ordo should be able to take any training courses available at any time (unless they have certain pre-reqs like other training) [18:39] Wulf Lykin: ethqan we already have seperated astra and terra trainings [18:39] Typhon Perun: If it makes it easier we could make NCO-A a seperate thing like Schola and Armatura are. I already have a good idea for those that would make for good magisters for it, among other things. [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: Wheels are turnin' upstairs. Interesting. [18:40] Mark Karlfeldt: I agree with Marc though, training should be less about real world militaria and more focused on what can be applied to SL. [18:40] Andriste Nesiote: The main problem with Armatura right now, in my opinion, is trying to find a magister who's got the free time and can run it. [18:40] Ethan Schuman: I agree with that as well. [18:40] Nrom Normandy: NCO-A is being developed by Veritas, so it will be done. [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: I shall play with the idea. [18:41] Steeltael Lykin: Catagory: Chronus. [18:41] Typhon Perun: But I finished the materials about 2 or so months ago Nrom.... [18:41] Fox Cheri: Wulf crashed [18:41] Andriste Nesiote: Hessel, that's pretty much dead on. 18:41] Fox Cheri: Steel. Can we talk after this meeting? It is about Chronus. [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: Additional regulation/oversight would be necessary, most definitely. [18:41] Steeltael Lykin: sur eFox [18:42] Dascede Aluveaux seems to be missing some parts of the conversation. [18:42] Theodore Belgar: I personally think they cadets we've been having have been moving thru the Schola program pretty quickly. [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Interesting. Interesting. [18:42] Fox Cheri: Perhaps open the possibilities of entering as Magister? [18:42] Tone DeFarge: Just a thought that instructional videos that give out detailed information on the phases and what we want the cadets to learn might actually help out the person teaching the phases and save time? Then the person might not burn out so easily. [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: Typhon -- see Nrom. [18:43] Arokh Takakura: I could do that. [18:43] Typhon Perun: Sir, I know I finished NCO-A I handed the materials in to Zero, alright I'll talk to Nrom. [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: Good stuff, good stff. [18:43] Arokh Takakura: <--- Fraps and studio mic. [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: Let's move on. Good ideas, however. I'm scribbling down notes. [18:43] Tone DeFarge: Then you can add graphics to the video showing what they are talking about. [18:44] Nrom Normandy: The only issue with videos is that they are harder to update and edit than notecards. [18:44] Nrom Normandy: and if you're doing your job appropriately as a magister, you're constantly updating with every policy change. [18:44] Ethan Schuman: Also, this may sound unpopular, but I really think we should add Judge Hocho's writings to our required reading list. [18:44] Theodore Belgar: And they would get impersonal like Corsi was saying a few minutes ago in ventrilo [18:44] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on. [18:44] Steeltael Lykin: Together with a previous member of the Ordo I completed a document that details exercises and tactics for combat...not sure what became of it. [18:44] Steeltael Lykin: okies. [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Next topic: filling downtime. [18:46] Wulf Lykin: and that means? [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: So we've got fishing. And people fish. What else would you like? [18:46] Wulf Lykin: oh that [18:46] Mark Karlfeldt: A dueling system [18:46] Marc Gravois: board games. [18:46] Maverick Garfield: clay pigeons [18:46] Tuqiri Breen: Rabbit pen [18:46] Theodore Belgar: What to do when we dont have people to shoot at. [18:46] Andriste Nesiote: More shooting things. >.> [18:46] Corsi Mousehold: Well I am a Queen in Tiny Empires. [18:46] Zerowinged Vasiliev: Whack a mol. . . Ohh wait [18:46] Wulf Lykin: yes mav claypigeans [18:46] Arokh Takakura: People seem to have calmed down a little on the fishing thing, hopefully not burning ourselves out. [18:46] Acheron Gloom: Trainings :D [18:46] BurrWolf Qin: yea shooting target challenges [18:46] Maverick Garfield: russian releat [18:46] Kiba Rubble: Board games is a good idea, SL has a large variety of those available. [18:46] Arokh Takakura: Cadet hunter. [18:46] Theodore Belgar: Wabbit shootin' [18:46] shippo Coba: open a starbucks! :D [18:46] Tuqiri Breen: more fishing items [18:47] Bradley Petrov: Trainings and more raids/attacks for people in different timezones. [18:47] Andriste Nesiote: I second Arokh's [18:47] Eriksson Foxtrot: Honestly, as much as I like the idea of the downtime subtractors. They take people's attention off things a bit too easily, and over a period of time, they'll burnout of said activity. [18:47] Arokh Takakura: Feed Arokh cadets game. [18:47] SirCorn Alter: Texas holdem [18:47] Tone DeFarge: We should add range targets to the field that randomly pop up just like the ones in the range. Just for fun of course... [18:47] SirCorn Alter: Maybe have it turn off to cut down on scripts during fights [18:47] Ethan Schuman: Greedy Greedy [18:47] shippo Coba: I like that idea Arokh :D [18:47] Wulf Lykin: i like mavericks idea of a clay pigeon range [18:47] Theodore Belgar: GREEEEDY [18:47] Ethan Schuman: That was a TON of fun with the Merczateers. [18:47] Arokh Takakura: Hungry hungry Dragon. [18:47] Huttser Ishelwood: Greeeeedy :D [18:48] Kiba Rubble: Have zombies attack the base every hour .;3 [18:48] Mark Karlfeldt: I had an idea for making a HUD-based dueling system with melee weapons, perhaps as a third party business. You'd be able to have intense and complicated melee combat without LL damage. It would be interesting to have brawls, if anyone has played Combat: Samurai Island, you'll know what I mean. [18:48] Eriksson Foxtrot: The Merczateers actually play poker; Texas Hold'Em... sometimes. [18:48] Fox Cheri: Tiny Empires 3000 with an Ordo realm [18:48] Ethan Schuman: I -LOVE- holdem [18:48] Ethan Schuman: Fox, that's been considered. [18:48] Andriste Nesiote: Hold'em is my poker game of choice. [18:48] Tuqiri Breen: A zombie pen? [18:48] Aryte Vesperia: Hhmm. [18:48] Steeltael Lykin: Give everyone a useful job or project to work on during idletimes. documentation, building, scripting, specific practice of a combat skill. [18:48] Aryte Vesperia: A zombie pen haha [18:49] Eriksson Foxtrot: Zombie games have lag induced trinkets and additions that just... bog up over time. [18:49] Dascede Aluveaux: I'm a fan of board games, but complex builds like the monopoly table will tax sim performance in the case of a sudden attack sometimes. [18:49] Wulf Lykin: i dont think we should ad mutch more becouse the fishing systems adds a bit lag already when everyone goes to fish there [18:49] Tuqiri Breen: how about finding a 4 leaf clover? [18:49] Arokh Takakura: Ordo Janitorum, the game. [18:50] Arokh Takakura: Sweep the line, clean the walls. [18:50] Arokh Takakura: earn XP. [18:50] Kiba Rubble: Ordo cardgame with members on it ;3, [18:50] Eriksson Foxtrot: Arokh: That'd be amazing. [18:50] Marc Gravois: winner gets a pot of gold? :D [18:50] Theodore Belgar: If there's a fight going on..you shouldnt be fishing anyway. [18:50] shippo Coba: thats alot of cards O_O [18:50] Aryte Vesperia: Just putting it out there, but I am totally forcing Disembodied make Team Rocket and British Rifleman outfits. [18:50] Mark Karlfeldt: What. [18:50] Marc Gravois: omg team rocket win [18:50] Kiba Rubble: Team rocket!? xD [18:50] Huttser Ishelwood: Wait [18:50] Andriste Nesiote: I am for that. [18:50] Aryte Vesperia: Rofl. [18:50] Huttser Ishelwood: Rifleman outfits are green [18:50] Arokh Takakura: :C as a brit, I am offended, I think. [18:50] Preston Smythe: haha nice [18:50] Huttser Ishelwood: not red [18:51] Huttser Ishelwood: Jeeeeze D:< [18:51] Bradley Petrov: I'm not offended so you shouldnt be, Arokh. [18:51] Bradley Petrov: D: [18:51] Fox Cheri: I can make Jesse and James' hair with ease hehe [18:51] shippo Coba feels lost O_o [18:51] Aryte Vesperia: .. rofl. [18:51] Steeltael Lykin: Can we make astra wear the team rocket outfits? [18:51] Mark Karlfeldt: Honestly noone uses the killhouse to pass time, because it's not fun to fight in a tiny enclosed space where you die every 10 seconds. A more structured melee combat system would be far more entertaining, I think. [18:51] Arokh Takakura: what about tiny tanks. [18:52] Ethan Schuman: Tiny tanks would be fun. [18:52] Steeltael Lykin: I love the killhouse. But it needs a update. [18:52] Aryte Vesperia: .. haha. [18:52] Wulf Lykin: or everyone buys a gamebay or whatever in rl and goes to play that :P [18:52] Arokh Takakura: like a little pen for RC battle tanks. [18:52] Eriksson Foxtrot: Mark, the killhouse is used for Armatura training. [18:52] Wulf Lykin: gameboy* [18:52] Nrom Normandy: I am not going to wear a team rocket outfit. [18:52] Mark Karlfeldt: The killhouse is for multiple purposes [18:52] Nrom Normandy: Pikachu, maybe. [18:52] Steeltael Lykin: Remove the terrorists from the killhouse..they are annoying and pointless. [18:52] Arokh Takakura: FIRE FIGHTING [18:52] Arokh Takakura: I HAVE THE RESOURCES. [18:52] Eriksson Foxtrot: We could get rid of the Terrorist game in it, it's kind of pointless seeing as nobody uses it. [18:52] Huttser Ishelwood: FIRE FIGHTING [18:52] Tone DeFarge: I'll wear a Team Rocket uniform if it's made properly. [18:52] Arokh Takakura: SERIOUSLY I WILL DO THAT. [18:52] Wulf Lykin: the kill house needs to be bigger [18:52] Aryte Vesperia: Oh lord. [18:53] Huttser Ishelwood: I AGREE [18:53] Aryte Vesperia: Hahahaha. [18:53] Arokh Takakura: I can provide gear. [18:53] Wulf Lykin: at least half a sim [18:53] Arokh Takakura: and equipment. [18:53] Aryte Vesperia: All right. [18:53] Maverick Garfield: Erick: it's fun to turn on when people are in there [18:53] Fox Cheri: Wulf. We got a project running already with that. [18:53] Arokh Takakura: And I'll set fire to shit. [18:53] Eriksson Foxtrot: Well, yes. I love doing that Maverick. Haha. [18:53] Nrom Normandy: Acheron actually has a few cool platforms that would easily replace the killhouse and other facilities for training [18:53] Huttser Ishelwood: Gimema flamethrower and I'll burn downt he sim >:3 [18:53] Wulf Lykin: oke [18:53] Aryte Vesperia: And .. aye. Or even add Killhouse to it. [18:53] Tone DeFarge: Race track for both ground an air?.... [18:54] Kiba Rubble: Paintball in SL is actually already available, so we could make a platform for ordo paintball matches [18:54] Arokh Takakura: Kiba. [18:54] Aryte Vesperia: Intereeesting. [18:54] Arokh Takakura: Training rounds. [18:54] Ethan Schuman: Personally, I think we'd have a lot of luck making a mod for a game that's free/cheap that we can all play. [18:54] Eriksson Foxtrot: Ordo Hockey team. [18:54] shippo Coba: ooo [18:54] Typhon Perun: I think I still own a laser tag game system with health, flags and such. [18:54] Theodore Belgar: Fooootball [18:54] shippo Coba: hockey team [18:54] Theodore Belgar: american football [18:54] Keller Teichmann: I second that idea. [18:54] Aryte Vesperia: Hockey. Oh god. [18:54] Kiba Rubble: I vote hockey! as i already play it xD [18:54] Typhon Perun: HOCKEY! [18:54] Mark Karlfeldt: Fuck gridiron [18:54] shippo Coba: Hockey! [18:54] Tone DeFarge: Capture the flag! [18:54] Eriksson Foxtrot: Compete against other SL teams. Dominate. [18:54] Andriste Nesiote: Bah, if we had hockey, we'd just be melee'ing each other for fun. [18:54] shippo Coba: i demand ! [18:54] Arokh Takakura: I would totally wall-slam an entire opposing team. [18:54] shippo Coba: XD [18:54] Ethan Schuman: Second Life hockey... [18:55] Keller Teichmann: That's called bodychecking Arokh. :F [18:55] Eriksson Foxtrot: Ethan, ask Kiba about SL Hockey. [18:55] BurrWolf Qin: Arokh is our goalie [18:55] Arokh Takakura: I'd BODYCHECK THE TEAM. >:C [18:55] shippo Coba: oh gawd [18:55] Aryte Vesperia: Arokh can be our entire line. [18:55] Nrom Normandy: The future of SL militaries, on the ice, with a puck and a stick. [18:55] Nrom Normandy: Aryte can be the goalie [18:55] Aryte Vesperia: Okay, let's move on. [18:55] Eriksson Foxtrot: Russian Roulette, as suggested by Maverick. [18:55] Aryte Vesperia: Good stuff, however. [18:56] Aryte Vesperia: Last topic from me this evening: Chronus. [18:56] Aryte Vesperia: Input please. [18:56] Arokh Takakura: I like it. [18:56] Typhon Perun: Will it ever be done? [18:56] Mark Karlfeldt: Mutiny against Steetlael [18:56] thatguy Andel: Love it. [18:56] Ethan Schuman: Current Chrinus build, aside from minor adjustments, is a fuckton of fun. [18:56] Mark Karlfeldt: Steetlael. Lol. [18:56] Arokh Takakura: Dislike the river and drop in the middle. [18:56] Wulf Lykin: needs more big buildings to be able to get into like an old hotel or something [18:56] Keller Teichmann: Keep in mind it isn't a full-sim like Titan. We can't go too extravagant. [18:56] Huttser Ishelwood: Dislike voidscape :< [18:56] Huttser Ishelwood: But I've talked to steel about that [18:56] Ethan Schuman: The ground level of Chronus is simple, quick, clean, and efficient. [18:56] Keller Teichmann: Though yes, I think it's a ton of fun for combat. [18:56] Typhon Perun: Will it be able to control time as the name suggestes? Just kidding. [18:57] Ethan Schuman: Voidscapes might be better if we can do them with Mesh [18:57] Zerowinged Vasiliev: ^ this (Huttser) [18:57] Mark Karlfeldt: Make Chronus into Scarlet's gulag. [18:57] BurrWolf Qin: if the river stays then the 2nd bridge should be buildable by the attacking team [18:57] Andriste Nesiote: Scarlet is terrifying on Chronus. [18:57] Eriksson Foxtrot: Voidscape is awesome, adds aesthetic. Personally: No lag, and looks great. [18:57] Ethan Schuman: There is a way across the river. Use the pipes. [18:57] Nrom Normandy: great job on Chronus, would like to see if we could implement an air objective in to experiment as well [18:59] Fox Cheri: Hmm. Idea for Astra Objective system [18:59] Aryte Vesperia: Awesome, awesome. [18:59] Aryte Vesperia: Anything else? [19:00] Wulf Lykin: yea [19:00] Fox Cheri: Fly around through a series of gates in a bomber, whilst the bomber tries to aim and hit designated targets. Changable through difficulty [19:00] Arokh Takakura: I could do that fire-fighting thing during the officer meeting tomorrow? [19:00] Arokh Takakura: trial run. [19:00] Mark Karlfeldt: On the topic of Chronus, may I suggest a new category? A new sim for Titan. Nikki and Niiya have apparently abandoned us entirely. [19:00] Jayce Iredell: Shit really? [19:00] Wulf Lykin: i think EE should become hostile. we can use more enemys to raid on, last week lestat attacked us and hes in EE it seems [19:01] Huttser Ishelwood: Lestat is EI, not EE [19:01] Wulf Lykin: i saw myself hes EE [19:01] Huttser Ishelwood: EE Encampment is the land group [19:01] Jayce Iredell: And EI is another can of worms entirely. [19:01] Tsukiyomi Yuhara: I had a few sugestions pretaining to lag and Mercury. Though I think it would be better served for a more direct conversation with someone able to handle that level of suggestion :o [19:01] Huttser Ishelwood: IT lets members and allies set home [19:01] Wulf Lykin: he was in more then one group of them [19:01] SirCorn Alter: I'll build for free :3c [19:01] Aryte Vesperia: A rememdy is being worked on for Titan. [19:01] Aryte Vesperia: Remedy, rather. [19:02] Huttser Ishelwood: Wulf, I talk everyday with EE High Com [19:02] Huttser Ishelwood: Lestat aint EE [19:02] Wulf Lykin: then why has he EE stuff? he had a full armor with jetpack [19:02] Huttser Ishelwood: Because EE stuff is sold through EDI [19:03] Wulf Lykin: ah oke i see [19:03] Kiba Rubble: I had an idea to possibly bolster acitivty, especially for newer members. It might be going overboard though. You could add an experience point system into the hud, that gives out exp to those on sim every 30 minutes or hour. And then add experience caps as requirements for certain ranks. [19:03] Kiba Rubble: activity* too [19:03] Maverick Garfield: thats like ccs [19:04] Arokh Takakura: kiba, everyone would idle on base. [19:04] Arokh Takakura: leading to attacks to a 'ghost' base. [19:04] Maverick Garfield: people would just camp [19:04] WolfShaman Warrior: yeah, not keen on that [19:04] Dascede Aluveaux: Not a big fan of a valor-like exp system [19:04] shippo Coba: yeah it'll be like cod :P [19:04] Arokh Takakura: I.e. 28+ idle members, 2 active on defense. [19:04] Arokh Takakura: 20+ attackers come in, we get raped. [19:04] shippo Coba: damn campers [19:04] Aryte Vesperia: Mm, I am not a fan of that. It's a good idea in theory, but in reality it's .. eh, I dun like it. [19:04] Wulf Lykin: indeed then we got cadets today and officers tomorrow [19:05] Theodore Belgar: We have enough people going afk all the time as it is. [19:05] Mark Karlfeldt: How about a film cinema on Titan? [19:05] Ethan Schuman: Valor is for Vantards. We could do like the Merczateers and have it generate experience when Mercury sounds an alarm. [19:05] Nrom Normandy: yeah, promotions are handled on merit right now and meeting minimum requirements, adding activity time requirements is cool in theory, but too easily abused [19:05] Mark Karlfeldt: It would keep people active to watch at least [19:05] Wulf Lykin: to mutch lag [19:05] Aryte Vesperia: All righty. Let's wrap up. [19:05] Mark Karlfeldt: Uhh [19:06] SirCorn Alter: I'd like to ask about something that hasnt been covered yet [19:06] Wulf Lykin: speaking of vanguard, why dont we allow to lone wolf on them? good to kill time and to train ourselfes [19:06] Mark Karlfeldt: ...lol. [19:06] Aryte Vesperia: Lone wolfing is prohibited entirely. [19:06] Huttser Ishelwood: .... [19:06] Mark Karlfeldt: Woooow. [19:06] Aryte Vesperia: That'd be one reason. [19:06] Wulf Lykin: oke [19:06] Maverick Garfield: We don't wanna catch anything either [19:06] Huttser Ishelwood: Yeah [19:06] Aryte Vesperia: And, go ahead SirCorn? [19:07] Fox Cheri: The Vanguard is blocked, and therewhy, we shouldn't engage them. [19:07] Huttser Ishelwood: You know how hard it is to keep this fur clean around VG [19:07] SirCorn Alter: Could we have a Twitter page or something of the like, so we can know if the base is being attacked without logging in? Maybe just having the OIC post it on the site chat. [19:07] Aryte Vesperia: Oh god. [19:07] Maverick Garfield: take too much time [19:07] Ethan Schuman: No. [19:07] Ethan Schuman: Just... no. [19:07] Aryte Vesperia: .. honestly Mercury could do it automatically. [19:07] Aryte Vesperia: On a feed. [19:07] Aryte Vesperia: Hm .. [19:07] Nrom Normandy: yeah, Mercury can do it automatically [19:07] Nrom Normandy: but [19:07] SirCorn Alter: Well maybe not twitter. [19:07] Wulf Lykin: we got shoutbox on the formum [19:07] Wulf Lykin: forum&* [19:07] Theodore Belgar: Twitterhell [19:07] Nrom Normandy: one step closer to Skynet [19:07] Kiba Rubble: lol @ a twitter message everytime a hostile enters the sim.. [19:08] Kiba Rubble: That would be often. [19:08] Huttser Ishelwood: Ipod app linked to mercury [19:08] Huttser Ishelwood: x3 [19:08] Ethan Schuman: Mercury could take control of both the USA and China's nuclear missiles [19:08] Ethan Schuman: But that doesn't mean it's a good idea. [19:08] Mark Karlfeldt: OH OH OH. Let's have a Ordo Model United Nations. [19:08] Aryte Vesperia: Hahah. [19:08] SirCorn Alter: But like, if there's a big raid, post on the chat [19:08] Aryte Vesperia: Inoue .. already made me an RSF feed for it. [19:08] Wulf Lykin: ipod SUCKS [19:08] Kithsuneca Eilde: Not all of us have an Ipod though. [19:08] Aryte Vesperia: It's very doable, SirCorn. [19:08] Wulf Lykin: apples are to be eaten and not used as computers :P [19:08] Kiba Rubble: I dont want to be the guy being on "active twitter posting duty" then SirCorn [19:09] Kiba Rubble: xD [19:09] Eriksson Foxtrot: I'll set my pager up. [19:09] SirCorn Alter: Well Twitter doesn't seem to be popular [19:09] Maverick Garfield: facebook XD [19:09] Steeltael Lykin: .... [19:09] Theodore Belgar: FB? [19:09] Mark Karlfeldt: Ordo Model United Nations. Do it. Do it. [19:09] Aryte Vesperia: Probably. I refuse to use it. [19:09] Fox Cheri: Does Ordo have a FB? [19:09] shippo Coba: O_O [19:09] Huttser Ishelwood: Facebook [19:09] Aryte Vesperia: But I'm sure Aelus made one. [19:09] SirCorn Alter: So maybe just posting "We're under attack by X" on the chat. [19:09] Aryte Vesperia: We are already working on making Mercury .. well. [19:10] Tone DeFarge: I think we're doing just fine in terms of reporting attacks.. [19:10] Steeltael Lykin: Can we just let Mercury rule our lives . with pre-scheduled lunch breaks and timed restroom breaks? [19:10] Wulf Lykin: ordo has something called a FORUM with SHOUTBOX use that [19:10] Aryte Vesperia: We're trying to make Mercury intergrated into the forums. [19:10] SirCorn Alter: Also, do our comms work over different sims? [19:10] Kithsuneca Eilde: Hmmm.. If someone has really good programming practices you could make an Application for the PC that will update and warn people that are online. [19:10] Dascede Aluveaux: Yes, SirCorn [19:10] Fox Cheri: Nice one Steel [19:10] Aryte Vesperia: So it can post and communicate with the forum softward. [19:10] Dascede Aluveaux: The Global Comm goes everywhere [19:10] Kithsuneca Eilde: Even if you're not on SL. [19:10] Theodore Belgar: Its bad enough when I get the "NEVERMIND" IM's from mercury. [19:10] SirCorn Alter: Okay, I haven't really been able to try it out yet [19:10] Aryte Vesperia: Global com does. Global com is intersim. [19:10] Aryte Vesperia: Mercury also communicates directly to G-com. [19:10] Theodore Belgar: Thats assuming you're wearing the global comms unit [19:10] Huttser Ishelwood: Global coms isnt in all the HUDs yet though [19:11] Aryte Vesperia: It isn't, correct. I don't even use G-com. [19:11] Aryte Vesperia: (I'm never off Titan sooo..) [19:11] Tone DeFarge: If people arent online, and need to be contacted, could always make SL-IM a requirement... [19:11] Wulf Lykin: i have one more idea regarding raid volunteering [19:11] Typhon Perun: The global comm I have seen is a optional script that can be put in to the main hud. I haven't seen it made standard part of the hud as of yet. [19:11] Wulf Lykin: if i may [19:11] Wulf Lykin: ............... [19:11] Aryte Vesperia: Last topic. Wulf? [19:12] SirCorn Alter: Well, until that's fully integrated, it would be nice to have a way to contact everyone online at once, without putting out a notice. [19:12] Theodore Belgar: Way bad idea Tone. [19:12] Wulf Lykin: raid volunteering. [19:12] Wulf Lykin: i think it can be a bit better to give everyone a better chance to participate [19:12] Tone DeFarge: Lol, it was just a thought , since everyones talking about people being offline :P [19:13] Wulf Lykin: i had an idea about a raid board to go there when a raid is about ot begin and click as fast as you can on it to get into it, if someone needs 5 people the first five on the list are in, the rest will be on reserve [19:13] Aryte Vesperia: .. hm. [19:13] Nrom Normandy: isn't that what we already do by having people post on coms? [19:13] Aryte Vesperia: Essentially. [19:13] Huttser Ishelwood: Thats what we do on coms [19:13] Andriste Nesiote: Pretty much. [19:13] Ethan Schuman: Pretty much [19:13] Preston Smythe: yeah [19:13] Kiba Rubble: The raid board idea is a good idea on its own [19:13] Wulf Lykin: well also it needs to be anounced [19:13] Kiba Rubble: though [19:13] Wulf Lykin: like on a notice [19:14] Ethan Schuman: Plus the nice thing about COMs is that we can have them say other things to make sure they're actually paying attention. [19:14] Maverick Garfield: what if mercury randomly picked people? [19:14] Huttser Ishelwood: Why though? [19:14] Andriste Nesiote: Wulf, if that's teh case, you're going to get people camping by the raid board trying to be first on the list. [19:14] Preston Smythe: if your not in sim to go on the raid its kind like sorry bad luck [19:14] Aryte Vesperia: I prefer volunteer, Mav. [19:14] Drasamax Python: What if someone cams halfway across the base to click on it? lol [19:14] Wulf Lykin: or make a sort of a sound that a raid is about ot start, so people that are afk or not paying attention tochat to give them attention [19:14] Maverick Garfield: coughtdrascought [19:14] Aryte Vesperia: Well. It's typically a two step: "Raid soon..." [19:14] Steeltael Lykin: I Ddont think people off sim, afk, or not paying attention [19:14] Aryte Vesperia: "Raid now, volunteers" call. [19:15] Nrom Normandy: right now most of the raid leaders give notes 15 minutes prior to calling for volunteers [19:15] Typhon Perun: The raid soon is the warning to try and get folks active. [19:15] Aryte Vesperia: Correct. [19:15] Nrom Normandy: as far as people who are not on base, well we gauge how many to take on a raid on how many active defenders we have [19:16] Nrom Normandy: we can't possibly count those of you not here [19:16] Wulf Lykin: true but people not paying attention that time will not see it. so a respective sound on the sim for raidcalls would be nice to draw attention to chat [19:16] Wulf Lykin: kinda like a siren 19:17] Nrom Normandy: maybe have mercury send a general notice to people in sim about an outgoing raid warning? [19:18] FireFox Breed: Via the g comm? [19:18] Maverick Garfield: I came across an issue tonight while a raid went out if I may bring it up [19:18] Aryte Vesperia: That is possible, Nrom. [19:19] Maverick Garfield: People just need to start paying more attention too the com [19:19] Tone DeFarge: any way to fix the spam from the coms on chan /1 ? [19:19] Wulf Lykin: as i said, a special raid sound would be nice Meeting Closer [19:19] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you all for your input. I appreciate it. And, thank you all for a good, irregular meeting. It was refreshing not to go through the routine this week. Have no fear, we'll be back to the usual antics on the next Saturday. I am lagging intensely, so I doubt I can lead a raid. Comcast apparently does maintanence on Saturday nights. [19:19] Wulf Lykin: so people that are busy getting a drink will hear the sound and pay attention ot chat [19:19] Andriste Nesiote: yes. yes they do. [19:20] Huttser Ishelwood: Well we got plenty of prospective raid leaders [19:20] Huttser Ishelwood: I'm sure they can take one out [19:20] Aryte Vesperia: I will have promotions out in a bit. Ish. Maybe. [19:20] Aryte Vesperia: Conversation in check please. [19:21] Aryte Vesperia: That said. Dismissed. Steeltael, Corsi, Wulf, and whomever else was bantering, to my office please. There is a very good chance that I have missed portions of chat because of the chat distance restrictions. If there was anything important that should be in the log and was NOT, please post it here.
