  1. When I've got uni projects out the way, I'll be leading as many as I can manage with my time frame.

Though I do agree that when an oppurtunity has arisen to lead a raid, and there were plenty of able bodied people to lead it I've seen how people just shrug it off to someone who does them on a regular basis.

Imo, some kind of reward should be given to those that do the raids regulary.

EDIT: If need be, I'll get to a point to start training ART myself during the GMT hours/timezones, that way the excuse "Its not in my time zone" isn't good enough to miss ART. Though I guess this is something to discuss with Aryte in detail before I really push forward with it.

  2. EDIT: FIXED IT, graphic card was being a derp and was set for quality rather than performance in the Catalyst Control Center. Game handles fine, it's actually fun to play and something I'd happily keep playing now and then. IMO though, bayonets are a pain.

Also amazes me how many people get tunnel vision in that game, so easy to flank!

  3. Right, but there's no reason we should stand for them trying to compensate for police ineptitude by making our guns more expensive. Meanwhile cops hemorrhage money and guns (that we can't pick up when they die).

But you see, the main cops wont have any major weapons, they have pistols and M4s, thats about it and can only get basic vehicles.

The terrorists/civs still get the factories, so they can still make the same weapons as before at the same price.

  4. You can still make weapons without a license, as well as that the weapon prices in the factories are going to be as they were (From what i've heard so far).

But as we're usually the most organized group in the server, we'd have no problem obtaining weapons, ammo and armor very quickly. If what they told me is true, the most organized of groups are going to be the ones that will reign supreme.

Also, huttser can attest to this, the cops tend to flail around the place when 1 of them gets shot.

  5. I was talking to the admins the other night when they were in mid discussion about the new patch changes for the server, and they are as follows:

    • The increased prices mostly affect - Armor, Guns, Gun Liscenses etc Mostly everything is left untouched
    • Police now have no way to get the "Big Guns", such as MGs, M107s etc as they're restricted to small arms such as handguns, shotguns and M4s.
    • JSOC are the only people to be able to get bigger guns and armored vehicles, but they're more expensive as well
    • Cops will lose their weapons on death now (This is a maybe, it was being discussed but looked to be agreed upon)
    • The Terror camp is gone, it's a crater, BUT, Terrorism will still go on (as removing it completely is retarded), Feruz Abad will be the new capital of Takistan.
    • They have set up the game now so that catching money hackers is much easier, as they know exactly what brings in the most amount of money, from the sounds of it, organized crime is the way to go (Drug running, robberies etc).
    • Terror armor (And police me thinks) will cost around 6mil each, they confirmed that it will take anyone near 200 minutes of constant play to be able to afford one, this is what they have seen through calculations of the new setup.
    • The entire rule set is being re-written, from what neopixie told me it's going to be 8 pages long and will explain the do's and don'ts in clear detail.

I will post more as I find it out.

    Forgot to mention:

    • The entire server is heading towards a BRITISH occupied Takistan, so police cars now use the old Volvo 1995 design of car
    • The UN will actually be given tasks to complete, such as setting up a field hospital in a town for the locals (UN is mostly RP orientated)
    • They may get rid of the little birds and replace them with Merlins
    • They may change the T-55 for a T-34, it may be cheaper but the gun would still pack a punch, as well as being fast.

  6. Are these videos public? If so do they contain vehicle specifications we don't want public?

    Just a question etc. :v

I think Burrs one is hidden to people with the link only, Arokh's one I think can be seen by the public.

Though to be honest, I think some vids should be made to showcase the Ordo arsenal, to dismiss typical rumors that people tend to throw about Ordo and the gear we use.

  9. Try starting it without the battery, or if there's a jumper, set it to reset mode and start it. Can you get into the BIOS settings at all? Tried unplugging all the drives? Maybe it will get somewhere if there's no where to put the BIOS image?

Can you start it without the battery? I always thought that would cause more problems then anything.
  10. I had some BSOD issues a few years ago I couldn't figure out, my hardware steps consisted of borrowing a few pieces of equipment or throwing in old pieces from previous computers to isolate the issue.

Memory (switched them around, took some out, put em in one at a time, tried new ones and so on)

Video Card (just switched to the onboard one and pulled the card, also tried an old card I had)

Messed with just about everything plugged in, unplugged, tested, plugged in one at a time, tested, and so on

CPU (I was unable to test this as I did not have extra one of the same type, after a few weeks I just went out and purchased a CPU & Board combo)

    Board (Replaced with CPU)

All in all I figured it was my motherboard maybe my proccessor, but I highly suspect it was my board, not because it was an ASUS, though I would love to have more to stick it to them, but because minor issues continued until I replaced just about every card and stick I had. Your board can easily screw up all your other equipment threw even the smallest issues.

If you have data you want to save, cheapest way is to pull your hard drive, go grab an external kit for $20 and copy the information you want to a DVD or another drive.. or several drives, however you like to do it. I'm personally a data junkie (not to imply it's junk, or disorganized >:| ) and have two copies of all my irreplaceable stuff in two different locations.

First things though, Memory... Easy to replace (or borrow), easy to test and determine if it's the issue.

The issue I have is apparently specific to Gigabyte motherboards, they added this system where it backs up the bios onto a file on the root hard drive which would allow for the bios to reboot itself without issue, problem is the computer black screens before it even completes this stage, which from what I've read around the internet is a very common issue with GA motherboards (Which GA advertise is one of their most unique and best features), false advertisement imo, hopefully I can use that to my advantage to grab a new, temp, board.

  11. So, about an hour or 2 ago my computer blue screened with the error:

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA

So, as usual when I get a BSOD, I restart, wait, start up, login and then thats it computers fine.

Now, this time it's decided to not boot up the bios properly at all displaying the message:

Scanning BIOS image in Hard Drive.........

    Recovering BIOS from Hard Drive........

Then blank screen and nada, nothing happens at all.

This is what I've tried so far:

    • Removing the battery for the Mobo to reset bios
    • Resitting the memory (apparently this was a fix)
    • Turning it off and on again
    • Cleaning the computer
    • Resitting all components
    • Leaving it alone for an hour and turning it on again
    • Punching it
    • Swearing at it

Now, according to another post, its possible to put a fresh copy of this file they look for in the hard drive, but I don't have the neccesary connections to do that! Anyone know how I can go about doing this?

    Any help is appreciated~
