To help folks keep track of orders passed down from the higher echelons, I am creating a forum topic under the "general reports" area. The sole purpose of this thread will be to list standing orders that should be known to all members. Pretty simple, right? Well sorta. Please realize it won't be /every/ order, mostly ones passed down by myself and Curia. These will be "operational decisions," not day to day ones. For example: "no member of whatever may visit titan." Or "let AN into the bakery when requested!" I'll keep it up to date and post notifications whenever something is changed or nullified. It'll be up in just a few minutes. :D

Heeeello. Caine has politely requested that Ordo try their darndest not to butt heads with Chaos in New Jessie. If you have any problems, just let Caine know personally. That means no more "DIE CHAOS SCUM!" stuff. In addition, please be sure to read the New Jessie rules. Some of our stuff--jetpacks, Adjudicators, miniguns--aren't OK to use there. Welcome Jayce Iredell back to the Ordo. He's been about in the retired group for some time, but after some thought he's decided to dust off his uniform and head on back. As per the fact he resigned prior to the statementing of our "rejoin at E-1" regulation, I have authorized him to rejoin as a senior NCO. Make him welcome!

Although recent events have hardly made a need for me to post something like this, I do feel that . . well, when we're the most complacent with our current standards, it's the best time to remind everyone how important they are! The Ordo has and will always pride itself on the atmosphere we provide, an atmosphere that is based about a fairly rigid (but friendly) idea of professionalism. Conduct itself is something of importance-- that goes without saying, but not conduct that's forced. It should be the purpose and point of all members to behave and cooperate because they want to, not because they're told to. From my observations, the most common problems faced as of late have been authority based. For example, an NCO trying to tell another member "hey, don't do that." I have seen and heard tales of this going something like: NCO: Hey, don't do . . Manuel (I can't use Bob anymore): Don't tell me what to do! You're not an officer! NCO: .. A few things to note-- an NCO sure can tell you not do so something, when it is within the parameters of the regulations. But that NCO sure can't "punish" for failure to adhere to that request. Regardless, is it not within that NCO's interest (along with everyone's?) to ensure all comrades are guided appropriately. When I see an NCO tell another member to stay out of the red zone, I see that as respectful assistance, not authority abuse. That is respectful assistance, professional conduct, and instruction on good behavior. I'd much rather that over said individual not realizing their error and having an officer come down on them.

I allowed a couple members make "quad" avatars with armor. I've realized what a horrible mistake that was, somewhere around the bagillionth person asking to do something wacky. I'm sorry, I am going to have to reverse the "OK" on fitting armor to quad avatars and other out of the norm shapes. I really don't want Ordo T-Rex, or Ordo Ducks, or Ordo Dog. We've been fighting for uniform reality and uniform conduct, spiraling out into out of the norm (albeit sometimes cool) avatars is going back on that commitment. If you would really like to argue that your avatar "is" a dog or something, then I'll hear it. But if its just for the sake of amusement, please no. As for those of you I already gave the "OK" to, I will allow it (Williamca and Teron--sorry to call you out!), but I would be much obliged if you felt like going back to your other avs!
