*walks in, looks around evaluating the crowd - nods once - and tosses his bag into the corner*

You look like the bloke in charge... *points at Aryte* Two questions; when do we brief and where's the chow hall?

    Howdy!

I am just another one of the poor sods Aryte has recruited for his damn fool idealistic crusade in TESO.

In general, I do stuff on the internet - stuff usually pertaining to the total and complete domination of enemy forces in virtual settings. If I have killed you in some MMO somewhere - it was nothing personal. (and chicks dig scars - you can thank me later)

Oh - and I like ponies... But unlike the typical love and tolerate kind of pony - I am more of a cleanse the heretics in the holy fires of Friendship kind of pony.

    Pleased to meet you!

Alchemy is able to create several concoctions that are not found in the game world, including multi-effect potions.
Poisons were not available in the November beta, and may not be present in this beta, so rest assured that if you create a potion that melts your insides rather than those of the enemy, don’t worry, that’s normal.

To make a potion, you need at least two ingredients and a solvent. The ingredients you combine determine the effect of the potion, as well as grant you experience points towards alchemy.
Every ingredient has 4 'traits' which start off unknown, but you may eat an ingredient to discover the first trait, and conduct experiments to unlock the rest.

When you mix two ingredients with the same trait, you receive a potion with that effect - for instance, Water Hyacinth and Wormwood both have "Weapon Crit" as a potential effect, so if you mix the two, you will receive a mixture that boosts your critical strike rating a significant amount (by 601, according to the tooltip).

The solvent is the liquid that you are mixing the potions in , and for now, that solvent is just various kinds of water that you find in the world.
The solvent you use determines the level of the potion; a health potion made with the lowest level water will make a level 3 potion, whereas the next grade up will make a potion suitable for a level 10 character.

There are also ‘anti-traits’ which will prevent you from making certain potion types. For instance, Namira’s Rot+Wormwood+Water Hyacinth would normally make a potion that improves all forms of critical strike as well as adding ‘Unstoppable,’ but because Water Hyacinth features ‘Stun,’ the potion will not be capable of Unstoppable, even though Wormwood and Namira’s Rot both have the trait for it.

The most important talent of them all will have to be the triple ingredient talent, Laboratory Use, allowing you to mix 3 ingredients at once. This unlocks an incredible assortment of potential potions, as any third ingredient you use will add a number of effects based on how well it matches against the other two. This is what is going to make alchemist’s potions far superior than anything that can possibly be found while questing. Do note the experience earned does not increase with a third ingredient added; it is purely for making better potions.

Thanks to Teo Dibella's Tester for effects discovered

    -Restore Health/Magicka/Stamina
    -Ravage Health/Magicka/Stamina
    -Increase Spell/Weapon crit
    -Decrease Spell/Weapon crit
    -Increase Spell/Weapon power
    -Decrease Spell/Weapon power
    -Increase Spell Resist
    -Decrease Spell Resist
    -Increase Armor
    -Decrease Armor
    -Stun
    -Detection
-Unstoppable (total immunity to stuns and disorients for X seconds)
    -Invisibility (invisible for X seconds)
-Speed (increases running speed 30% for X seconds)
    1. Bugloss/Columbine creates a mixture that restores both health and magicka without the need for a third ingredient.
Mountain Flower as a third ingredient will allow it to also restore stamina, creating a restore health+stamina+magicka potion with no negative secondary effects.
All three ingredients are common, making it an incredibly useful potion that trumps standard single-effect restore potions.

    2. Namira’s Rot is a mushroom that features both speed and invisibility.
    It can be combined with
    Blue Entoloma for invisibility or
    Blessed Thistle for speed.
    Mixing
Namira’s rot, Blue Entoloma, and Blessed Thistle = invisible and fast.
Nirnroot is also an acceptable replacement for Blue Entoloma, but unfortunately combines negatively with Blessed Thistle to hurt your health.

    3. Emetic Russula is a mean ingredient with ravage traits for all 3 resources, plus stun. It can easily be combined with;
Stinkhorn OR Violet Coprinus = drain either health and stamina, or health and magicka.
    Stinkhorn+Dragonthorn = drain health+stamina+armor,
Stinkhorn AND Violet Coprinus = drain health+stamina+magicka (though there are varieties of ways to achieve this same effect)
Stinkhorn OR Violet Coprinus after adding Water Hyacinth to add a stun in addition to draining health+stamina or health+magicka.
If poisons do end up being implemented, this is going to be nasty.

    4. Lady's Smock and Cornflower Restores magicka and also boosting spell power.
This seems to be one of a couple potions that is fairly powerful with only two ingredients. That being said, it still has potential to be improved, and adding
Water Hyacinth will tack on spell crit to the mix to add a little oomph to the next cast or two.
    Alternatively,
    Wormwood can be substituted for detection instead of spell crit;
I don't know how strong detection will be, but it's possible that if some jerk is using potion #2 up there to get away, you'll be able to nab him.

    5. Dragonthorn and Blessed Thistle share Weapon Power, as well as stamina regen. Throw in a
Water Hyacinth, and you’ll also tack on Weapon Crit to the mix for an offensive potion.

    6. Columbine, Mountain Flower, and Imp Stool would raise armor while restoring health and stamina.
At least, it would if Imp Stool didn’t have “Ravage Stamina” tacked on to it. It still restores health and boosts armor, making a nice tanking mix.

Well Soundcaster for most games, but hey! I'm a former member back in the old SL days, [Tone Defarge if you need to check!] part of Astra. Decided to sign up again and perhaps catch up with everyone! I play tons of games currently so I hope to join as many chapters I have access to including TESO when it eventually arises. I do play lots of F2P mmo's. Planetside, Firefall, star wars, star trek.etc..etc. [just about any as long as i have people to play with] and various other FPS games. I just recently got into ARMA 3, and later on I plan to hit up TitanFall on launch. I also play BattleField 4 on occasion.  I mainly love to play support classes, medic, engineer, pretty much anything to keep my group going.

So yeah, I look forward to working with everyone once I figure out how everything works and start applying.

    ▶ Chapter I: Introduction

The following document serves as the basic codification for the military combat gaming group known as the Ordo Imperialis. The materials listed herein are available for public view and shall be treated as unclassified. All registered members and potential applicants to the Ordo Imperialis are expected to understand and abide by the contents of this document. Questions relating to materials may be directed to the presiding Tribunus officer corps.

Individuals wishing to pursue enlistment within the Ordo Imperialis are encouraged to read this document in its entirety. After which, an application may be found at the following web address: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?app=groupjoin

    ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

    ▶ Chapter II: Getting Started

The following chapter outlines the basic experience and expectations that an applicant to the Ordo should be prepared for.

➡ Mission of the Ordo Imperialis
The Ordo Imperialis is a professional grade virtual military combat organization. Founded originally as part of the Second Life Military Community, the Ordo has over six years of experience in combat gaming. The Ordo aims to provide a regimented, respectful atmosphere for anyone wishing to serve within a stable, efficient group. Personnel of the Ordo are to hold loyalty to one another, honor, discipline, and dedication to the highest of regards. All members are expected to serve within whatever duty assigned with pride and distinction, without exception.

The Ordo’s slated goals are to exert military excellence at all times, and produce a respectable foundation for the gaming community. To be a member of the Ordo Imperialis is to be part of a continuing family, with traditions and values that have been born through years of experience. From cadet to commander: every Ordo member is held to high regard and respected as a brother at arms.

    ➡ The Process
Application: In order to initiate one’s career, the first step is to submit an application. To do so, you must access the web form: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?app=groupjoin

As a general rule: an individual who takes time to answer each question on the application honestly and thoroughly will have a far greater chance of making the cut. Upon submitting a complete form, the application is put into a queue for review. Wait times vary dependent upon current loads: expect to wait at least two business days, but typically no greater than five.

Most applicants will be contacted by a member of the command staff; please be certain to respond to inquiries, as failure to do so will delay or result in a failed application. In the event that an application is deemed unacceptable, a denial letter will be sent detailing the reasons. After which, an applicant will be provided the opportunity to reapply after seven days. In the event that an application is deemed acceptable, the applicant will receive further instructions and enlistment invitations.

Schola: Upon entrance to the Ordo, a new member is subjected to the Schola program. Schola is, for all intents and purposes, the Ordo’s “basic training.” Schola is designed to provide cadets all the basic information that he or she will need to survive—additionally; it is an opportunity for command members to review the cadet thoroughly for any issues that may inhibit their participation within the group at a proper level.

Schola is separated into several phases: each has a particular focus. Overall, Schola is typically conducted over the span of several days. Scheduling a phase may occur in two fashions: at random or on demand. Random classes occur based on instructor availability and will be announced over the group via notice. On demand classes occur based upon cadet request—to make a request, simply find an online instructor and send them a message.

Induction: Provided all phases of Schola are completed at a satisfactory level, a cadet is graduated and inducted into the Ordo Imperialis as a full member. At such time, the cadet will be awarded the rank of [sG-1] and granted access to all group functions.

    ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

    ▶ Chapter VI: Constitutional Protocol

The following is to be considered constitutional law, setting the general foundation by which a member of the Ordo Imperialis operates. All other regulation originated within the group must abide and fall within the scope of the following materials.

➡ [Title I] Standard of Authority
It is necessary to adhere to the orders of personnel in enumerated positions of power. Furthermore, commissioned officers shall bear the explicit right to create additional policy or provide the necessary extension of authority for another individual to create policy.

➡ [Title II] Standard of Brotherhood
It shall be the expectation that members of the Ordo Imperialis support other members of the Ordo Imperialis against the actions or accusations of outsiders. It shall not be acceptable to aid or abet others in seeking the detriment of another Ordo member.

➡ [Title III] Standard of Respect
Members of the Ordo Imperialis must afford all individuals, whether another Ordo member or not, appropriate reverence and politeness. It shall not be acceptable to demean or attack others in a malicious manner.

➡ [Title IV] Standard of Integrity
All members of the Ordo Imperialis shall be expected to exhibit sound integrity in all interactions. This includes, but is not limited to exercising sound decision making and exhibiting honesty.

➡ [Title V] Standard of Order
To maintain civility and a professional atmosphere, members of the Ordo Imperialis shall be subject to a system of justice. Although variance will exist based upon severity of infraction, most events shall be afforded three stages of action: informal warning, formal reprimand, and expulsion.

➡ [Title VI] Standard of Information
It shall be the responsibility of every member of the Ordo Imperialis to ensure information intended for privileged access to Ordo members shall remain accessible only by Ordo members. Additionally, all personnel are expected to maintain a general sense of understanding of ongoing actions by routinely reading any publications within the group.

➡ [Title VII] Standard of Communication
The Ordo Imperialis provides multiple avenues of communication with other members. All of these areas, unless otherwise excepted by enumerated personnel, are intended for use by only Ordo membership and respected allies.

➡ [Title VIII] Standard of Community
To ensure a proper atmosphere, discussion within the Ordo Imperialis should be pertinent and within scope: controversial topics (such as religion and politics) are not permitted within any venue, unless in a reasonably private area with unanimous agreement from all present parties. Furthermore, all elements of conduct by the Ordo shall not exceed a general rating of PG-13.

➡ [Title IX] Standard of Allegiance
The Ordo Imperialis generally does not and will not prohibit any individual, except commissioned officers, from participating in other community gaming groups. However, the Ordo shall expect that members of the group do not participate in other community groups directly opposed to any Ordo interest on any platform.

    Good afternoon, you all!

For those of you I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, please allow me to introduce myself. Some years ago, on the desolate waste that is known as Second Life, I had this silly notion that leading an internet community sounded like a good expenditure of my time. Seven years later, well . . . here we are! For the majority of the Ordo's existence, I did a lot of the wheel turning around here. No doubt, someone has probably told you horrible tales about mischief involving me. Most of the stories are probably true, especially if it starts with the line "this one time, Aryte was drunk." If there is one thing that can be said, I like to have a good time. But I also like to win while having a good time.

That's really the underlining idea behind the Ordo. We are here to take names, have a good time doing it, and build lasting friendships in the process.

Since August of 2013, I have been on a bit of a prolonged hiatus on account of joining the Army. I have a couple months left of training before I am in a more amiable environment to run around on the internet again consistently. Thankfully, that puts me in a prime position to sidle back in just prior to the release of a couple big titles that I have my eyes on.

Upon my return, I will certainly wade in and make all available effort to improve your experience here. I have no intent to shake up existing structure--provided it is working well! However, what you can expect from me can be broken down into three simple points:

Efficiency: I love the simplicity of order and the order of simplicity. I am my happiest when chain of command and structure make sense, are getting things done, and serve to improve your game-play experience. We are here to provide focus, direction, and motivation so that you as a member can hone in on simply having a good time.

Consistency: No one wants to be part of a community that applies its standards and expectations partially. Reputation is a very important part of any group. The Ordo will always strive to be known as an honorable, fair, and decisive organization.

Growth: Everyone has heard the idea that "more, the merrier." I am a strong believer in that. I am here to bring more folks into the fold, expand our horizons, and increase the number of individuals we get to interact with. There is nothing quite like having a big family of friends who you can go forth and experience new things with.

Tentatively, I am due back sometime around March 18th. In the interim, life will go on here just as it always has: the officers will govern in my spirit. For those of you eying TESO, it is highly probable you will have to endure me at a constant. I am aiming to make that "my" direct leadership venue for the foreseeable future! Otherwise, I also will continue to haunt Planetside 2 and whatever else I can find time to poke around on.

If you have any questions about or for me, by all means please feel free to reach out to me here or in private. I am an open book!

First, let me say I am a proud man, for better or worse. But pride has it's logical limits and I have reached said limits. I've been unable to work for the past three months due to an exteded illness. While I still have a job for the time being, I'm unable to work and thus cannot bring in the income neccessary to keep silly things like the power on at this time. It's extremely embarrassing, but I'm fairly low on options at this time.

The amount due is a snowball from hell of several months of not being able to pay, coming to $738.46. This is the total, but we need to pay the amount of 291.98  to turn the power back on. Right now, it's my mother and I in the apartment. She's still working, but we're just barely covering our rent as it is, so this amount is beyond our current finances. Our income, normally, is beyond what social welfare agencies are willing to assist with, and there's really no family we can turn to for help. So I come to you all, humbly, to ask if anyone could possibly assist us. I'll be keeping an eye on my PMs on the website today and tomorrow and you can send me a text via my phone number, which you can get via PM if you want to speak to me that way. I'm not expecting much, really, but I don't know where else or who else to turn to at this time.

    Thank you for your time.

Furthermore, all elements of conduct by the Ordo shall not exceed a general rating of PG-13.

➡ [Title IX] Standard of Allegiance

We're back up and running, hopefully for a while :-)

    So what happened!

This morning we (I) ran an update on the server hosting our websites, this included a kernel update.

This new kernel had some serious issues with the network card that is in the server and it decided to just turn it off.

Needless to say, without a network card it is rather hard to log in to the server and fix things ourselves and the hosting provider had to be contacted.

It took them a bit to get to the data center (these things seem to be unmanned) and reboot the server with a working kernel.

    But now we're back \o/

    ~THERE IS A TL;DR AT THE BOTTOM~

I think this is my second time disappearing off into god-knows-where-the-hell land. [Actually this time it was IRL issues]

But I'm back~ again~ but the other two times I never even made a name for myself, at all. So I'm going to introduce myself for what is, the very first time.

Hi~ I'm blakFYR~ I usually don't go by that name anymore [too 14 year old EDGI.] If I can find it in the control Panel, I'm going to change my display name to NotMateo, because I respond frequently to Mateo~

    As far as gaming goes~

I ironically don't try to associate with man cliques of gamers. Alot of the groups I've been apart of have been extremely... opinionated to say the least? I just don't like elitism, although I do throw that word around alot. However, I've actually been a part of this group for a while, and I've seen the conversations and what-not that have taken part here, and I've seen no such thing here.

I usually enjoy high energy games, such as fighters, shooters, and some RPGS. If I had to name my favorites, they'd be DC Universe Online, Blacklight: Retribution, and APB: Reloaded (despite the many many bugs and flaws). But I'll try most games at least once.

Xoza actually brought me to this community~ [i kicked alot of ass in a match in Star Conflict once before] and I'm grateful he did.

I also run a small little Minecraft server~

    ...

    TLDR:

I should wrap this up. But I guarantee I'm not here for any other reason than to be able to chat and play games with some nice folks, since usually my friends play games completely different than my interests, and it'd be nice to find some good friends. I'm not a trouble maker, I can guarantee that. In any rate, Nice to be here.

To anyone who read that....mouthful, sorry .-. I can get....talkative. Sorry

EDIT: Crying because I can't change my Username to NotMateo. Oh god, mod or something- Arceus, whoever- help me rid of this dumb naaame.
