    As members of the Office of Imperial Doctrine may be tasked to multiple departments within, the structure of power within the OID is relatively simple. The idea here is to promote cooperation and flow of ideas: each department is without a specific department head, rather, all departments report to the respect commander of the OID and his or her assistant.

    • Commanding officer: the OID’s commanding officer shall be no less than an individual ranked as an NCO. The CO shall focus upon ensuring function of all internal departments, including, but not limited to:
      • Recruitment of new personnel;
      • Maintenance of order within the unit;

      • Ensure aforementioned department duties carried out;
      • Represent the OID to the officer staff and the rest of the Ordo;
      • Create and instruct upon processes to ensure duties are carried out;
      • Quality control over all materials; ensure items, stories, (etc) are of appropriate grades of acceptability.

    • Executive officer: the OID’s executive officer should not be an individual ranked less than NCO, but some exceptions are permissible. The XO shall focus upon day to day maintenance of unit order, working with any given department to ensure their success. Additionally, the XO shall assist the CO in completing their list of tasks and fill in for the CO during times in which he or she is absent.

    • Department Head: Department heads are considered staff members within the OID but operate as middle-management. Reporting directly to the CO/XO of the division. Department Heads are tasked with keeping their assigned department productive and on task, duties include, but not limited to:
      • Weekly Status reports on assigned projects;
      • Maintenance of order within the department;
      • Ensure tasks handled in a timely manner;
      • Ensure aforementioned department duties carried out;
      • Represent their department to OID Command;
      • Assist with the creation of new content, regiments for their department - subject to the approval of OID command;
      • Quality control over all materials in relation to their department. Department Heads will be inspecting material before it is submitted to OID command for final review and approval;
      • Expected to fill in as needed and assist with projects.

    • Staff: general members of the OID may be assigned to any one of the aforementioned departments (or multiple departments) based on need. Staff members shall work to fulfill the requirements of each department, with tasks delegated by the CO and XO of the OID.

    II. Departments

    I. Department Aperio: specialists who focus on generating content directed toward presenting the Ordo’s military might to individuals outside of our organization and the SL combat community. Additionally responsible for creating and distributing propaganda. Aperio is a multimedia department, utilizing text, graphics, audio, and video.

    • Directed Recruitment: through the creation of guided images, audio, and information, Aperio actively seeks to create "recruitment drives." The intent being to specifically target quality individuals for enlistment to the Ordo Imperialis.
      • Create recruitment media, such as: posters, pro-Ordo broadcasts, and instructional films.
      • Design specific recruitment campaigns, directed with a central message that will bring interested bodies to the Ordo.
      • Assist specific Ordo groups (such as Astra or Alpha squads) in recruiting from within the Ordo and externally to create a more balanced force.

    • Increased Public Outlook: Aperio seeks to expand the Ordo’s reach grid-wide, presenting the Ordo Imperialis as a highly competent and elite military organization. Through gentle, yet assertive campaigns of mass-media, Aperio shall showcase the pride, prowess, and capability of our organization.
      • Create media that demonstrates the Ordo's investment in the community.
      • Assist the administration with developing media strategies to best represent our group as a whole.
      • Be prepared and ready to represent the Ordo to the public under sanctioned activity by the Imperator.

    II. Department Expiscor: the journalistic element, responsible for the Imperial News Network (INN). Expiscor reporters work diligently to keep all minds under the Imperium informed and knowledgeable. They maintain the Imperial News Network (INN) web presence and may be called upon to report from the field. To assure the most immiscible news, the Expiscor uses multiple mediums: text, photography, audio, and video.

    • 24 Hour News Circuit: Expiscor constantly observers and documents. With approval of the AiR, they produce news blasts to publish to the entirety of the Ordo (and potentially external sources) of information deemed declassified.
      • Maintain the web and grid presence of the Imperial News Network (INN) by constantly publishing information. At least tri-weekly news updates (early week, late week, and weekend editions). Special reports as required/applicable.
      • Do in-depth and informative stories: written well and with the interest of the Ordo Imperialis in mind.
      • Proactively check in on going ons within the military community and the Ordo Imperialis.

    • Knowledge is Power: Aside from regular news broadcasts, the Expiscor is tasked with producing and showing off polished stories that talk and represent our group and community. Such as: an in-depth review on a new weapon or an interview with a new military group.

    III. Invenio: the creative element, responsible for the back-story and lore within the Ordo Imperialis. Invenio is the architect of our group's theme, as it works to create a living, breathing environment where the Ordo story is thriving. Invenio is not only responsible for the large picture lore, but is meant to play an active role in keeping all Ordo members involved by promoting and helping members create back-stories within our structure. Furthermore, Invenio acts as editors: promoting and publishing fan fiction stories about the community.

    • A Living Environment: Invenio seeks, through its use of depth and back story to create an active environment. Multiple media formats and lores shall be used to make Titan and the Ordo Imperialis a full experience organization.
      • Development and publishing of Ordo lore, expand knowledge and reason for our actions.
      • Encourage back stories and light role-play.
      • Facilitate and plan events that bring in greater cohesion and purpose.

    • Community/Story Involvement: Push forth the notion of getting everyone involved: not just Invenio in the creation of Ordo’s theme.
      • Brainstorm ideas monthly on group improvement; including involvement and overall structure.
      • Routinely seek ideas and develop concepts to improve overall entertainment factor for members of the Ordo.

  2. (Lives in Las Vegas). I know some people who work at the various hotels and can possibly get people on a tour at Nellis AFB. Paintball and bars are good out here, lots of stuff to do for night life if over 21. Sadly, 21 and under and Vegas can suck as far as what to do.

    Nellis is also home to the Thunderbirds, so, that is ballin' if you are into that stuff.

    • Brief summary of a 30/60/90 day plan for OID, detailing how and what you would achieve with the organization.

    First 30 days/Phase I would be comprised of initial recruitment for OID. This would include finding and assigning department heads, the executive officer as well as OID staff to fill the various department positions. During the first 30 days, create a standard operating guide that will flesh out the exact duties of each department to follow along the lines of the initial outline that Aryte created for OID. Create Department Head expectations and XO expectations. Creation of a routine department meeting schedual for command and staff and flesh out department duties to give further detail to initial outline.

    For the 60 day/Phase II, continue recruitment as needed to fill crucial positions and staff. By this time there would be meeting times set into place to discuss ideas, concerns and progress (if available) as well as projects for OID. During Phase II, Department Aperio and Expiscor will be granted priority attention to begin the process of rolling out a steady flow of production elements (propaganda, posters, INN statements etc). This is the enactment phase of the foundation that was laid in PI. If Aperio and Expiscor are assembled and operating quickly and to the satisfaction the OID Command and Aryte, Invenio will have more hands on assistance with creative content. Aperio will be given due attention during Phase II but as it will be at the running hands of it's department head and the oversight of the CO of OID.

    90 days/Phase III, maintaining and tweaking of the current system. Rotating recruitment as needed to keep staff up, and giving a heavy focus on INN statements to show progress of the OID. During PIII, approval will be sought from Aryte and guidance as needed for projects, recruitment initiatives will be devised for physical off-sim recruitment trips. Ordo-wide meetings will be planned to get an idea of what the organization as a whole wants to see.

    Also, Aryte...you know you used my ideas when you wrote this, don't front.

  4. -EXPUNGED - FRUMENTARII

    -When Curia Civitas existed

    -When it was a common military practice to grief the shit out of everyone and no one got upset, they just did it back.

    -When the Alliance Navy just had a massive fleet ship rezzed in the Cordova Sandbox and advertised as a anti-griefer/sandbox police force and had no sim.

  5. Hey guys what's going on in this thread? :]

    I believe they are discussing what-if scenarios on being selected for cards. Although, this may also be an undercover spy ring and they could be using codes.
