Per the norm, please be certain to hold all questions and comments until provided the opportunity to speak. Interruptions will result in dismissal from the gathering. When you are provided the chance to speak, be sure to /shout/ your comments or questions—otherwise the recorder may not hear you. Thank you: let’s get to it.[18:00] Aryte Vesperia: StatisticsMembers: 319Cadets: 12ApplicationsNew: 7Accepted: 0Denied: 7Review: 0CombatDefensive: 87Offensive: 14Allied Assist: 0[18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic report: officers currently deliberating over RCU matters. Not quite settled on how to proceed while meeting Ordo security expectations and RCU requests. Time will tell. Additionally, currently in communication with EE officers over their sim situation. Ordo is potentially able to assist.-----Unit Reports-----[18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening?[18:02] FireFox Breed rizes one of his clawed paw.[18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Firefox?[18:02] FireFox Breed: From Teron for Antesignani: Bit slower then last week, A-II still was keeping fairly busy at home and abroad, with members participating in numerous raids and defenses, as well as getting in some training operations. Nothing major to report for the squad, it has just been business as usual, though we are looking at some new training regiments. Also yes, there are still positions available, you can come to me (Teron) or Burr about Antesignani.[18:02] FireFox Breed: From Afevis for Insidiae: This week Insidiae delivered a swift kick in the ass to Vanguard in New Jessie shortly after they put out an announcement, our trampling causing them to pull out almost immediately. In other news, we have one slot open at the moment, so anybody interested in joining an alpha squad, please contact either Krow Ames or myself and we will schedule a time for a little chat with you! :] Lastly, something to keep on mind while on defense in downtown Titan. Never hit a man with glasses. Hit him with a baseball bat instead![18:03] FireFox Breed shouts: From Eriksson for Invictus: Another little bit of a mediocre week -- up and down on the ole' activity scale but that's okay! We've finally received one of the Invictus Modular Carbine Rifle (MCR) variants called the 'Storm', which essentially has a bayonet attached allowing us to get a bigger melee range on our lunge. The other variant is on the way! (Sweet n' cool underslung grenade launcher). Lots of recruiting took place this week, and we've actually managed to claim two (2) people for Invictus! Please give Dibs Taov and Singularity Phenomena a warm welcome to the squad! They both are angels who I know will not ever raid my maple syrupt(*) stash like Stirn did last week. This leaves us with one(1) free slot open on our roster, and we've got numerous people who're pretty eligible for it! However, as always, don't hesitate to further your initiative and inquire with Eriksson Foxtrot or Kastrenzo Benelli. This concludes the Invictus report for this week, now I need to tend to Stirn making another attempt at [18:03] FireFox Breed shouts: raiding my maple syrupt(*) stash.[18:03] FireFox Breed shouts: From Thatguy for Cohors B: More people more activity, BUT WHAT'S THIS, LESS PRF'S. COMMON GUYS. But in all seriousness, activity has gone up as well as our numbers thanks to the globs of recruits being passed through. New people, be sure to bug your Century CO about PRF's, a great way to start unlocking our super-cool awesome equipment! The Cohors B Command Staff will have a meeting most likely tonight sometime after the main meeting. Be sure you're bugging your CO's for any problems, comments, questions, or even complaints what so ever. Looking forward to yet another great week full of activity and century events![18:03] FireFox Breed shouts: That is all.[18:04] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Next?[18:04] Ethan Schuman raises his hand for Astra.[18:04] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman?[18:04] Ethan Schuman shouts: Astra's report this week will be short. The first, and most significant topic, is that the Apostles have been formally disbanded and decommissioned. The Apostles have long been a part of Astra history, and that of Ordo in general, but we have decided to retire them as part of our new strategic approach. Blaze and Rei are working hard on a new elite unit, and have a concept. I'd tell you about it, but I don't want to get anything wrong. Our activity as a united division has been dismal, but there are factors in play that can't be avoided. Zerowinged and Sebris should be wrapping up the last of the new Palaestra materials, and the tactical squadron flight leaders (and XOs) have a meeting with the Blaze and Rei at some point this week (probably after 2PM SLT) to discuss activity and expectations. Nikki and I will be there as well. Hopefully, we'll come out of it with some fresh ideas.[18:05] Ethan Schuman shouts: The last thing I have to talk about is our new piece of equipment. For as long as I've been a part of the Second Life military community, the "holy grail" of air combat has been a practical carrier vessel. After a brilliant suggestion on Teron's part, Astra will be making use of our development slot to pursure a carrier. It will likely require a HUGE amount of QP to unlock (1000+) to access, but this has yet to be determined. One of the functions of this vessel will be to serve as a mobile platform for Nemesis launching. More details will be shared as time goes on, so keep your ears open.[18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you.[18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports this evening?[18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent. Moving along.-----Content Theft-----[18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Several things for me to touch on. So bear with me.[18:09] Aryte Vesperia: To begin with, there is a bit of an incident to report. On the 24th, multiple individuals friendly to the Ordo provided details regarding an apparent smear attempt targeting my person and the Ordo Imperialis. Preliminary investigations have determined that an undisclosed individual has copybotted my personal avatar, our formal dress attire, and the secluded corner of our headquarters tower.[18:11] Aryte Vesperia: The stolen items were used to create a set—the base corner that was copied hides the rest of the base, thus giving the impression of being “real.” A very short YouTube video was then created displaying an individual utilizing my stolen avatar to do something a bit lewd.[18:12] Aryte Vesperia: At first glance, it gives the impression that I would apparently randomly go do something pretty silly in the corner of our sim. Naturally, this would be something akin to a dream for many of our foes. However, on closer inspection there is a lot wrong with the video (the act itself aside):[18:14] Aryte Vesperia: The room that the avatar is standing next to was only recently textured, however the avatar is featured wearing attire I have not been wearing in over a month. The sim background is misplaced and wrongly arranged—the void scape is distorted. The room the avatar is standing next to is missing its door. The avatar is missing my blue eyes. The avatars head follows the mouse arrow, indicating it was obviously recorded by the avatar.[18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Although the personal attack is rather despicable, it is something that I really find ridiculous and have no problem weathering. The content theft and attempt at smearing my group is what requires attention. We have multiple leads thus far. The AiR and several joint agencies / individuals who are friendly to the Ordo are working to drag the cowards into light. At this point, we are very confident with the information we have and will have definitive results shortly.[18:18] Aryte Vesperia: In meantime, please be vigilant – there is little doubt that attempts to defame will continue. Please report any dissemination or instances to command or AiR. Thank you.-----Gear-----[18:19] Aryte Vesperia: > Gear[18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Now that we have that out of the way . . . on to happier topics. Development progress has been solid this week. First off: the power armor is entirely complete model wise. The primary chaingun is modeled, textured, and in my inventory. Disembodied is eyeing a scaled, modified version to replace our current Subjugator.[18:21] Aryte Vesperia: Now that we have that out of the way . . . on to happier topics. Disembodied is eyeing a scaled, modified version to replace our current Subjugator.[18:24] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Hand is taking a break from major products to churn out a couple of easier tasks. The first two are the highly demanded enclosed digi boots for the UCA, and formal digi boots for the dress uniform. After which, I have convinced him into creating a special melee weapon: power claws.---Out of context but funny---[18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Slipping on my pimping today.[18:26] Disembodied Hand: Pimpin aint easy.[18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Amen.[18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Anyways:[18:26] Aryte Vesperia: The melee will be intended for the UCA and will likely have some more functionality over simply being close-in attack—perhaps like a ground smash AOE.-----ART-----[18:27] Aryte Vesperia: > ART[18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Yesterday I posted all of the ART materials in the IEA area of the forums. I will go ahead and begin the cycle of sessions formally as of next weekend, so as to give any would-be participant an opportunity to thoroughly review the materials. I will, however, be holding a preliminary review/kind of work-through session tomorrow at the time slot the ART will typically be conducted: 5:00 PM SLT.[18:29] Aryte Vesperia: The preliminary dealio will largely be a discussion on “how” things will go, provide an opportunity to explore, ask questions . . et cetera. It will be a great chance to put your thoughts in and influence how our program will run.[18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Please at least give the materials a brush over if you intend to drop by for the preliminary hearing. If you don’t, well, you will largely not have any idea what we are talking about.[18:33] Aryte Vesperia: > Looking ahead; potential “specialization” set up.[18:34] Aryte Vesperia: As the armory, membership, structure . . . etc all expands, I am constantly trying to think of better ways to function. I am really fond of our QP system—it detracts from the need to rank up for gear, and provides a way to reward personnel. However, I really see opportunity to enhance and improve the way we handle unlocks, gear allocation, and give members a more distinguishable way to approach things.[18:36] Aryte Vesperia: I am eyeing the possibility of setting up quasi-class/specialization tiers, however while maintaining the freedom that we currently have in unlocks. In other words: you don’t have to unlock A to be able to get B, or B to get C (etc). Instead, by unlocking A, B, and C you are deemed “specialized” in a certain class, permitting you to unlock D; D being specific to that class.[18:38] Aryte Vesperia: The benefit of this, I believe, is that it would fit readily into our recent investment towards fire teams, battle buddies, etc. Certain distinguishable specializations would fit in certain scenarios, or even certain squads. This is only an idea at this point. It isn’t even on paper. But it is an idea that seems feasible and potentially beneficial beyond entertainment value.-----Aryte's Speech Thing-----[18:39] Aryte Vesperia: > Resolve: Ordo United[18:40] Aryte Vesperia: With the recent intake of new members (who are all awesome, I must add), I really think it is time I subject you all to a little monolog from me, haha.[18:42] Aryte Vesperia: This group has been here for a long, long time—and as far as I am concerned, we are going to be here on SL until there’s no longer an SL to be on. Even then, I have no doubt our community will continue on into other worlds.[18:43] Aryte Vesperia: There are a lot of negative aspects to this game, but no matter the day’s challenge, I am always deeply impressed and thankful for the participation and presence of each and every one of you. You are all essentially family to me. Even Ice . . . and Bracket . .[18:45] Aryte Vesperia: How strange to think—the impact that we are capable of, over a virtual platform. With each other, there is nothing we cannot accomplish.[18:46] Aryte Vesperia: The strength of the Ordo is not in its members numbers. It’s the character of its members. The value of its members. The faith and commitment of its members. And it really goes without saying: the Ordo is one heck of a strong group.[18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Ron?------Memorial Announcement-----[18:46] Ron Bleac shouts: Yes.[18:46] Ron Bleac shouts: Soldiers, airmen, sailors, brothers and sisters of the Ordo Imperialis. I have been asked to deliver a message.[18:47] Ron Bleac shouts: It is with a heavy heart that I must be the bearer of some bad news. As Aryte said, the Ordo is a strong group. A strong group of flesh, blood, bone and marrow. The Ordo is a mortal group composed of human beings with lives, hearts and minds. As a group matures and grows, we all grow with it. We experience new things that are both good and bad. Soldiers gain experience at the front lines, make new friends and acquaintances. Every person here I consider a friend. The Ordo stands on friendship, the relations we form with eachother and how we act together. It's what makes us a team.[18:48] Ron Bleac shouts: Even if this is a virtual world, as we grow older we must come to terms with the reality that everything here is temporary. We must come to terms with the fact that the Ordo is not an immortal creature. The Ordo and all of its members will come to an end at some point. The group itself will go, as Aryte said, when Second Life keels over. But some of us will be with this group for weeks. Some for months. Many for years, even.[18:49] Ron Bleac shouts: But rarely will anyone be with it forever.[18:49] Ron Bleac shouts: It is with great sorrow that I must announce that Theodore Belgar, member and veteran of the Ordo Imperialis has passed away after a battle with a medical condition.[18:49] Ron Bleac shouts: We will grow old together, but Theodore will be young forever. Mister Belgar was an impressive member of the Imperialis with a great service record. During his time here he made many friends, many of whom who are here today.[18:50] Ron Bleac shouts: Theodore, you will be missed. Whilst your rifle is now silent and your steps will never again echo in the silent halls of our homeland, you will be remembered.[18:51] Ron Bleac shouts: Lay thee down thy bayonet and wash thy bloodied brow, your burden and war is over. No longer will you have to fight or watch your comrades die. Disarm and rest, Theodore. We will see you again on heavens streets.[18:51] Ron Bleac shouts: A special service will be held tomorrow, Sunday, in memoriam of Theodore Belgar. I encourage you all to be present. In the fading light of the evening sun we'll all gather to say goodbye to this fallen comrade, who is set to fly. Krow Ames, Theodore's commanding officer will be holding the service. I extend my condolences to everyone here.[18:51] Ron Bleac shouts: A special service will be held tomorrow, Sunday, in memoriam of Theodore Belgar. I encourage you all to be present. Stone and granite may degrade, but the human mind is forever.[18:53] Ron Bleac shouts: That is all.-----Dismissal-----[18:53] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, Mr. Bleac.[18:53] Aryte Vesperia: We will announce a time on the forums as soon as it is arranged.[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you all for coming this evening. I have no doubt a raid will be organized after this proceeding. I'll be around.[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: Dismissed.[18:54] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute.
