[2008/11/15 18:01] Aryte Vesperia: As many of you who participated yesterday would know, combat has been very enjoyable. We've compensated for lack of enemy superpowers by, well, engaging multiple foes at onc.e

[2008/11/15 18:01] Aryte Vesperia: That's pretty impressive! Again, major kudos to all of you for your actions in the combat yesterday.

[2008/11/15 18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Membership is positive this week. We gained ten individuals, with only a final count of four resignations.

[2008/11/15 18:02] Aryte Vesperia: All four were individuals who . . well, you'd probably not recognize the names.

[2008/11/15 18:05] Sosarin Demar: Much to my pleasure, I feel that more progress has been made within the Astra branch. Many goals were set at the beginning of this week, and I feel that many of them have been satisfied for the most part.

[2008/11/15 18:05] Sosarin Demar: On one hand I've begun drafting the Astra Codex, which is a comprehensive document of mostly administratio and training operations within Astra. Proposals of new policy are being drafted along with the codex, making it a time consuming but fruitful endeavor. New accomodations will be made to include more people in Astra training in an official capacity, as well as improve the training regimine beyond simple basic flight instruction. Upon completion of the draft, it will be distributed among the appropriate personnel for revision and finalization. It's at least halfway completed.

[2008/11/15 18:06] Sosarin Demar: Trinity Heckroth has volunteered to take up the Air Defense Academy project, which is a multi-branch cooperative effort on securing air superiority in the event of enemy aircraft incursion. The documentation, if proven sound, will be added to the Astra Codex. In that regard, new roles within Ordo will be created to accomodate. Thank you Trinity for volunteering and spearheading this project. She has already networked with others and compiled a preliminary draft on areas to explore and document within this proposed academy.

[2008/11/15 18:07] Sosarin Demar: From viewing combat reports, I feel that Astra's participation in combat this week has been satisfactory to say the least. Some individuals have put in quality time in participation of raids and writing combat reports -- thank you Fermi, Trinity and others. Although we didn't hold a practice get-together as planned, I am glad to see that our role in combat didn't ebb this week.

[2008/11/15 18:07] Sosarin Demar: In the short span of two weeks, Astra's cadre of pilots has fattened by six individuals. This is an unprecedented, but very pleasant surprise. I wish to give a warm welcome to Milites Tolian Beck, Nezania Collas, and Tenyth -- our newest three.

[2008/11/15 18:08] Sosarin Demar: Next weeks goals will include the Astra Codex, as well as the Air Defense academy. Practice where it can be found, and of course a lot of flight training lies ahead for our recent inductees. Assignments and activities will be bestowed as they come, and we continue on our journey to bolster activity among the branch. Looking at the events over the past month-and-a-half, I have to say that activity levels have definitely shown an increase, due to an eager few and new recruits who have transferred to Astra as time has gone by. Needless to say, branch maintenance is a given and we'll always work to have that passion for pilot participation.

The range has run into a few issues in regards to how it should be run but for the most part we decided on a pretty good system. DavyDarkStrider Oh was the first person to qualify as Hawkeye (90/100) thus far and I'm very proud of his accomplishment. Other than that the outline is also being updated to reflect recent changes in equiptment as well as the terra handbook.

[2008/11/15 18:12] Trevor Russell: This week in Navis has been slow, admittedly. However, things are about to pick up quickly. Most notably, as of 9 minutes before the meeting, I finished the Navis Tactical Field Manual. It will be released as soon as it gets approved. All Navis personnel will be required to know its contents well, as it will be used extensively in combat. What is more, on top of the basic training, I will be holding advanced training sessions to practice these. Finally, the "to-do list" on the forums will be replaced and updated soon, if not tonight.
