[18:01:04] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic report this evening: alliance reformed with 39th; conducted a couple defensive runs on Monroe. Good interacts overall with 39th. Generally a rather pleasant group with the spirit to group; we are looking forward to additional opportunities to interact and cooperate with them. We are continuing combat with 39th when time permits, so they are still an available target. Otherwise, no real changes outside of combat with the Mercz—which will be covered as a main topic.

[18:02:04] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening?

[18:02:09] Huttser Ishelwood raises his hand for Terra.

[18:03:01] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Ishelwood.

[18:03:05] Huttser Ishelwood: > A-I, Invictus: During the course of last week many heretics were purged, cities burned, fear embedded into our enemies for the pure righteous ways of our glorious Imperator! No one shall be spared for those who go against our ways and those who speak of things that tarnish our perfect ways. Those who fight for the Ordo Imperialis the spoils of war will be far beyond your imagination. Invictus but a single squad will continue to cleanse the grid and spread the influences of what true perfection looks like for those who fight with honor in the heat of battle and with faith that the comrades will fight alongside them till death.

[18:03:18] Huttser Ishelwood: > A-II, Evalidus: Activity low for this week. Squad members be sure to check recent notices, there is one in there that applies to us all. Other then that we have several slots open, contact Huttser Ishelwood or Awanken Wasp if you think long range fire support is for you.

[18:03:44] Huttser Ishelwood: > A-III, Insidiae: Insidiae burnt villages, killed dragons and killed the Emperor of Man in Skyrim this week. Activity on the rise with appointment of new CO. Recruitment opening up shortly, contact Ron or Mackenzie for details. P.S Dickbutt.

[18:04:02] Huttser Ishelwood: > A-IV, Praescius: Slow week, nothing else to report. If you want to join, contact Afevis Sodertelge.

[18:04:22] Huttser Ishelwood: > A-V, Saevitas: This has been a pretty good week for A-5. The amount of raids held continues to increase as people begin to return from the WOooooorld of skyrim. Next week is shaping up to be a fine week for crusading with our members returning! On another note I'd like to thank Robwolf Dragovar and Temian Nightfire for stepping forward to assume the positions of Adjutant and Flag bearer within Saevitas, respectively.

[18:04:36] Huttser Ishelwood: COHORS B:

> Thatguy: is gay. Marcus is on an LOA to visit family and Tsu is also on a LOA due to Skyrim.

:c

[18:04:57] Huttser Ishelwood: MISC.: Skyrim is bad (read: good) for your health if played too much, guys.

[18:05:08] Huttser Ishelwood: This completes the Terra report.

[18:05:27] Aryte Vesperia: Good to see A-5 on the rise. Thanks.

[18:05:31] Aryte Vesperia: Next?

[18:05:40] Ethan Schuman raises his hand for Astra.

[18:06:08] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman.

[18:06:14] Ethan Schuman: I don't have quite as much to share with you all this week because of the amount of people that weren't able to make the staff meeting today, but there are still a few things of note. Firstly, the issue preventing delivery of 39th fighter was resolved. Aside from a small build issue that 39th will correct themselves, their fighter has been approved and signed off on by Nohime. 39th will be invited to send pilots to the second half of this week's flight nights so they can get a feel for things. Sebris has already made final adjustments for the modified Palaestra course we'll be offering them, so we're just waiting on their pilots to start trickling in. Personnel wise, Astra has picked up a few, and lost a few. Honey Hoffman and Confuze (I forget his last name. Sorry. :( ) transfered to Terra due to issues with motion sickness. However, we picked up Vinnie Lei, who's now a member of Reapers. Welcome aboard.

[18:06:30] Ethan Schuman: I'm going to take a quick moment now to touch on a subject that I've been waiting years, literally, to talk about. As everyone knows, we're now engaged in hostile operations with the Merczateers. While the Merczateers themselves will admit that their air forces aren't quite as strong as they'd probably like to be, the strength of ours will provide them with the motivation they need to improve, and they have the technology development power to produce new aircraft very quickly. They've already employed air power, limited as it may be, against us offensively. That means we need to be on our toes at all times. Because of this, training exercises and other activity will be increasing in frequency. Besides, you all know you want to carpet bomb some communis... err, PMC people from the magical land of wherever the fuck they're from. =D

[18:06:51] Ethan Schuman: That's all from Astra this week.

[18:07:55] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. :}

[18:07:56] Aryte Vesperia: Next?

[18:08:02] Drasamax Python raises hand for the IEA.

[18:08:07] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Python.

[18:08:09] Tonet Millar: raises his hand for Adstuti

[18:08:12] Drasamax Python: From myself for The Imperial Education Administration: A couple of Schola classes, an Armatura class, and no Ludi classes this week. Due to some setbacks with getting proper forum permissions set on time. There is likley a lot more Schola and Armatura classes held than what was listed in our activity logs (I recall seeing/observing a few that were never posted). I'm currently working on sorting this out. If you know who you are and your reading this be sure to visit the activity log and post the classes you held when you didn't have forum permissions to view the log to fix any gaps in our activity. If you have any questions please throw an IM my way, Zero Itamae's way, or your appropiate IEA branch Director's way. Whatever floats your boat. Oh and we're likley going to have to go get a new Schola Director soon as our current one kinda vanished o.O

[18:08:26] Drasamax Python: The IEA is finally getting one of its planned items made, the IEA Tome which can be found here: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/15553-conceptual-iea-tome/

Be sure to post any input you may have especially if your a Magister(item falls under IEA so would be wise) as it is still conceptual and we want our Magisters to be happy.

[18:08:46] Drasamax Python: Also the shiny new Schola walkthrough is currently all out on paper for preview purposes only as of now. If your a Magister and still have yet to look at it, it can be found here: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/15555-schola-instructor-walkthrough/

That is all from the Imperial Education Administration.

[18:09:39] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Mr. Millar?

[18:09:51] Tonet Millar: Radryl have problems with video card and sent me a note for the meeting:

[18:10:04] Tonet Millar: Greetings everyone! First of all I would like to apologize for not being here today, looks like my videocard is heading to the grave right now after long seven or eight years, so I cannot log in without making my PC explode.

[18:10:22] Tonet Millar: Anyway! Time to move to the report part my friends, as most of you already know, the target of the Operation Rattlesnake changed once Sonja the main owner of the group began to act as an ass again.

[18:10:40] Tonet Millar: As also mentioned there, the only General who left the group and was working on the Project with me will be building up a new group, but for now he is on Titan legion, at this point you probably already saw him and he also applied to Ordo! As a reminder, if you are a unawared NCO, we are not attacking EB anymore to prevent problems since Melina will join it again soon. Yes, they are that silly to make EB sink again denying our help and bringing her back.

[18:11:01] Tonet Millar: Aaand if they try to attack us, you can tell them to back off as their owner made fun of Ordo, annoyed us since the first day of the operation, and they MAY bring an alt of Melina to Titan, so it may be up to OIC allow them to attack. And it will be up to the Imperator simply tell them to avoid attacking us because of that, as I was not able to talk to him about it yet it is not up yet.

[18:11:21] Tonet Millar: Thank you for those who are helping us on the new target of the Operation Rattlesnake, I am looking foward for the results, and surprised to see so many people willing to help. You guys rock. The rest of the material will be given as soon as possible.

As a extra info to make you guys laugh, the "young Melina" is a 39 years old man who is in trouble at RL because some cops found his IP and looks like that he is doing something dumb. Also please once more I ask you AVOID RAIDING EB, seriously.

[18:11:41] Tonet Millar: Also for those who are willing to join Adstutia, here are the requirements:

Be at least a E-3

Be able to speak more than one language or:

Be able to handle paperwork and write informations that will be given during the meetings that we have with the other organizations.

[18:11:56] Tonet Millar: Come join us, we still looking for members, and the room for a ADJ still open! You can get a wood branch to poke your friends if you join it as well.

[18:12:06] Tonet Millar: As my last note I will put a poem. Roses are red, Margaridas are yellow, I do not care about them and I kill frontflipping hostiles with a grey mace.

[18:12:17] Tonet Millar: That is all.

[18:13:43] Aryte Vesperia: Thank. For future reference, please do not make commentary regarding other military members of such a quality. That is not the place of your unit.

[18:13:48] Aryte Vesperia: Additional reports?

[18:13:52] Mark Karlfeldt: Meeeee~

[18:15:04] Mark Karlfeldt raises hand?

[18:15:07] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Karlfeldt.

[18:15:21] Mark Karlfeldt: Munitorum: Things are going 'kay. Disembodied finished the new Haruspex pistol in record time. I'm rezzing it on the ground now.

[18:15:52] Mark Karlfeldt: Not to actual scale.

[18:16:26] Mark Karlfeldt: ...and it just broke physics.

[18:16:40] Mark Karlfeldt: Anyway

[18:16:42] Mark Karlfeldt: Xoza is currently on a little break for IRL stuff, but he's still working on the jetbike. What a little trooper. For those who don't know, it'll be our racer bike thingy armed with dual cannons and a nasty attitude. It'll use raycasting black magic to stay at a constant distance above the ground. Theeeen the Ferratus, and Keller's Judico rifle/Perseco SMG, all of which I'll be animating and doing sounds for. Nikki is going to revise the vendor next week. Finally, I'm going to look at mocking up plans for a 2.0 (more like 6.0) simbuild, which Nikki, Disembodied and I will work on... somehow. The details haven't been decided. That's about it.

[18:18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you.

[18:18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Final call for unit reports.

[18:19:37] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent. Moving on.

[18:19:59] Aryte Vesperia: > Re: The Haruspex

[18:20:49] Aryte Vesperia: The Haruspex is a bit of a change for us—energy based weapon, with the intent to have a bit more bite over our Five-SeveN. Although it will be a single wield weapon, we are looking to ensure it keeps a degree of volatility and earns a strong place among our general issued gear.

[18:21:36] Aryte Vesperia: There is no particular deadline as to when the weapon will be available for unlock, however I am looking to fit in to the schedule as soon as possible. For those of you who are fans of the Five-SeveN, you are welcome to continue using them after the Haruspex enters service. Additionally, the Five-SeveN will likely be moved to Titan as part of our surplus line for commercial availability.

[18:23:10] Aryte Vesperia: A big thank you to Mr. Hand and everyone who helped with reference material—the Haruspex was put together rather quickly. A testament to Munitorum, I must say.

[18:23:49] Aryte Vesperia: > Winter Revisions Underway

[18:24:10] Aryte Vesperia: As mentioned over the last couple of weeks, the Winter Revision project is in full swing. You can find a full list of projects and keep track of any updates at this link: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/15535-winter-revisions-project-list/

[18:25:13] Aryte Vesperia: I will endeavor to keep you all up to date by adding notes to that thread as we go along. But I am happy to note, we have already finished Schola revisions and the Tribunus assignment listings. As for Schola; Mr. Itamae is adding additional exam materials and then rolling it out.

[18:26:27] Aryte Vesperia: There is quite a lot on the list left to get to, but I am pretty determined to see the majority, if not everything squared away as of December 31st. The next two major items on the list that are in immediate reach of work are the revisions to our reward programs and implementation of archetypes.

[18:27:19] Aryte Vesperia: I know there is a lot of interest in the latter—specifically how to get to be a commissar, haha. I am not even certain that “commissar” will end up in the final product, but full details will be released before implementation. It will likely come after the reward modifications, as it sort of fits in to that whole scheme of things.

[18:29:03] Aryte Vesperia: > Combat with Merczateers

[18:29:30] Aryte Vesperia: Combat with the Merczateers, as most of you are aware, has gone live as of this week. Interactions with them have been outstanding—thus far, two large scale defenses in Titan. In each occasion, Titan held and we repulsed the attacks. However, it must be noted on both occasions the Mercz did put up a good fight and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

[18:30:05] Aryte Vesperia: We will be hitting back (as I understand) this evening—so don’t run too far after the meeting.

[18:31:16] Aryte Vesperia: Nevertheless, I do want to underline the importance of vigilance as we go forward. It is likely Mercz will ramp up their attacks and attempt to secure our objectives. We will do everything we can to hold ‘em; I am certain of everyone’s ability to do so. As a general standard, in the event of Mercz attack, be certain to announce it and request reinforcements: do not underestimate their numbers.

[18:32:15] Aryte Vesperia: However, on the flip side, be certain to permit Mercz visitation and treat them respectfully without exception. They remain our key allies. They are marked on Mercury as “hostile” for classification and report purposes. By no means are they a typical hostile.

[18:33:37] Aryte Vesperia: > Units and Gear

[18:34:29] Aryte Vesperia: The requests for unit specific gear are certainly noted; I’ve received several comments, particularly in regards to unit armor mods and weaponry. Please keep in mind we are in the exploratory / consideration process of updating the UCA to mesh. Nothing is in stone at this time, but it does put a delay on pushing forward with modifications to the existing UCA.

[18:35:18] Aryte Vesperia: I have and always will be under the belief that gear does not make a unit, nor is any unit entitled to gear. Units must earn the right to have specific gear by performance, not perform by having gear.

[18:36:51] Aryte Vesperia: > Keynote: Defense Reflections

[18:37:58] Aryte Vesperia: As we ramp up our sizeable defenses—notably with 2142 and the Mercz, I would like to underline some defense practices that have worked superbly. These should be considered mandatory expectations and carried out henceforth, especially in the spirit of ART operations.

[18:39:04] Aryte Vesperia: Foremost: defense is best in large scale when it is divided into multiple fire teams. When personnel permit, it is a good idea to separate out four groups (potentially a separate one for Astra; so a fifth). One group to each point, with a reserve element holding the road around the lounge.

[18:40:49] Aryte Vesperia: During both the 2142 and the Mercz attack, the division of forces was critical: having an assigned fire team lead and internal battle buddies gave us the major edge. We were able to react, be flexible, and ensure constant medicing in sectors. Additionally, whenever a weakness appeared, the reserve element was easily committed to plug the hole and ensure success.

[18:42:11] Aryte Vesperia: In no scenario should we simply allow natural progression of forces to the front: individuals must be assigned by name, provided an FTL, and managed in sectors. If we do not keep a firm hold and use sectors, it is inevitable that a weakness will present itself during maneuvering—especially when TPs are being sent, when it is most common that an individual could be TP’d to the wrong sector.

[18:43:22] Aryte Vesperia: Remember to stay in your areas unless ordered to move by the OIC: deviation from a point nearly guarantees its loss. Ex; even if center is looking dire, NE should not break from NE to help center. They can certainly provide fire from NE on center, but if they move to assist center . . . chances are, a competent attacking force will exploit it.

[18:44:24] Aryte Vesperia: Furthermore: teleport, teleport, teleport. Regardless of any assumed “designated medic,” all personnel are medics, without exception. Teleport your battle buddy and teleport any other personnel who require it. Mercz are very proficient in mass teleports with designated medics: but it is also very vulnerable; if you kill their designated medic, they have to reassign a new one to fill in, or try to teleport the designated medic back. We have used this against them many, many times.

[18:45:28] Aryte Vesperia: Lastly: don’t lose steam. These defenses tend to get long, resulting in personnel getting stuck into a sort of “motion over thought” state. You can note this when defense gets quiet and people are mechanically moving to their designated areas—that’s good, but also bad. Keep your wits about you, stay alert. React to enemy action and keep engaged in communication. Once you break the fugue of combat, you’ll catch your second wind and be good to go.

[18:46:31] Aryte Vesperia: Annnnnd before we break. A special mention for you all. :}

[18:46:51] Aryte Vesperia: Three years ago today, a Mr. Zerowinged Vasiliev joined our ranks as a happy cadet.

[18:47:10] Aryte Vesperia: SO DID HEATHER SOMETIME AROUND THIS TIME APPARENTLY.

[18:48:00] Aryte Vesperia: That said. Thank you all for coming. Promotions and such will be up tomorrow. :} We'll be prepping for raid here in a bit. Gonna touch base with the Mercz to see how many we can bring.

[18:48:09] Aryte Vesperia: Beat the war drums and shit.

[18:48:10] Aryte Vesperia: Dismissed.

[18:48:11] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute.

[18:48:12] Vain Composer salutes sharply, proudly claiming: "Glory to the Imperium, Pro Patria."

[18:48:15] Maverick Garfield salutes. May God lead us to victory.

[18:48:15] Huttser Ishelwood: Ready to kick some tires and lights some fires people?

Note: My report wasn't turned in due to my net being down. Ooki can attest to my vigorous amounts of swearing on the matter the evening of the 17th D;

Note2: I'm back from Skyrim, when I get home tonight I'll be resuming all functions as per the normal. :D

Note3: Skyrim is amazing... Going to go beat it again, be back next week ;o!
