Aryte
[18:06:14] Aryte Vesperia: MY BAD.[18:06:35] Aryte Vesperia: A very good evening to you all! Welcome and thank you for attending. Please be sure to hold your comments and questions until provided the opportunity to speak. Interruptions affect us all.[18:06:53] Aryte Vesperia: StatisticsSworn members: 276Cadets: 10ApplicationsNew: 13Accepted: 2Denied: 5Review: 6[18:07:07] Aryte Vesperia: OperationsDefensive: 73 instances.Offensive: 6.5 hours of offensive combat.Allied Assistance: 0[18:07:26] Aryte Vesperia: WHO IS LASERING ME[18:07:39] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic notes: relative norm across the community. No discernible change in political standing. Activity remains sporadic with all organizations. Notable increase in applications from former VG—further, it appears elements of the group split to join Chaos and AN. That said, there has been a small bump in activity on the CC.[18:08:21] Aryte Vesperia: Any unit reports this evening?[18:08:47] Aryte Vesperia: MM VERY GOOD.[18:09:39] Aryte Vesperia: ✠Development Updates[18:10:03] Aryte Vesperia: Steady progress has been made on the Retribution. The new aircraft is coming along just . . . great. The elements invested in it are very enjoyable and will be a strong inclusion to our overall arsenal. The multiple weaponry options really give it a strong bite, while the multiple delivery options (dumb vs velocity assisted) make it possible to tailor the aircraft to each individual play style. Pilots can expect to have the vehicle in the arsenal in the near future.[18:10:42] Aryte Vesperia: As for the largest project in the works, our sim build: positive progress. Several large buildings have been plopped out this week and Disembodied is hard at work on others. The design is really starting to come to life.[18:11:27] Aryte Vesperia: Disembodied notes that “he is on a 48 hour per building turn around now. They will mostly be skeleton and only basic shadows at first, but it’s to ensure that the sim is working from macro to micro to ensure there are no major issues such as LOS or maneuver issues that have to go back and be fixed. There’s a 6 story building with interiors, the non-occupy able one next to the hostile spawn and he is about to upload a thin tower.”[18:12:26] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Adjustments to Standing Paradigms[18:13:00] Aryte Vesperia: As the Ordo Imperialis expands and evolves beyond the SLMC, it is critical that we take the time to adjust the existing standards that were specifically designed for a SLMC centric organization. Alongside the implementation of the legionary structure, we have begun reviewing and revising our foundation to reflect the ongoing transition. Some notable highlights to this:[18:13:58] Aryte Vesperia: Redesign and revision of the handbook to reflect a multiplatform organization: cutting of red tape, revision of merit sets, and proper reflection of a more streamlined and pertinent structure. This will be released in the near future, after proper review by the officer corps. Please keep in mind this will create temporary inconsistencies among handbook reliant documents and training—we will work to adjust all of said documents to reflect the handbook. When in doubt, however, the handbook shall always reign supreme.[18:15:01] Aryte Vesperia: The restructure of our forums and forum permissions: over time, we will be adjusting permission sets, tailoring down old forum areas, and creating additional sections to facilitate a future synthesis between both the PS2 and SL elements of the Ordo. Alongside this, you will be seeing the implementation of a joint roster, accurately reflecting the total force numbers.[18:15:40] Aryte Vesperia: Proper reassessment of SL centric goals: effective immediately, we shall record SL deployment times in total hours impacted, with a goal of 10 offensive combat hours weekly. This is a shift away from our raid count style, with greater emphasis on quality time spent on raids, rather than quick hits).[18:16:55] Aryte Vesperia: The eventual transition to a more on-demand style of defense: years ago, it made sense for the Ordo to maintain a total defense structure—we have, for six years now, faced attackers with an open reach at any hour of the day. At this juncture in our life, this is no longer a necessity and has become a negative influence on morale, rather than a positive element to the group. That said, we will be working in the near future to shift the Ordo away from a “get attacked by lone wolfs at 4 AM all the time” style, to a “response” style. In other words, you and I will be able to make the determination on whether or not we wish to deal with lone wolfs, while encouraging larger interactions with the remaining few significant sized SLMC groups. More details to follow on that in the future. For now, do as you always have.[18:17:59] Aryte Vesperia: Greater emphasis on scheduled events: in tandem with the aforementioned, the Ordo will work to put a larger investment into scheduled matters. We will work with other organizations to set up large deployments on a pre-planned, pre-determined style. For example: (dates arbitrary at this time) on M/W/F the Ordo will launch massive crusades with total force. On T/TH/S, the Ordo will focus on force reconnaissance style deployments on SL, freeing up the total force for PS2 centric crusades.[18:19:40] Aryte Vesperia: All in all, we are looking to innovate and eliminate elements of the SLMC interaction that have left us with a sour taste. It is my personal belief that by freeing up our forces to focus on major interactions, a great deal of unwarranted stress (ex: defending against the perpetual revolving door of lone wolfs) will be relieved. Further, we will eliminate the concern of inadequate interaction by reaching dialog with groups who are facing the /same/ issues we do with combat activity. Rather than playing tag with a force number, we can simply announce our intent to assault and meet halfway. Further, this will allow us to exercise our total force in battles worthy of our time, instead of being reliant continuously upon small targets.[18:20:42] Aryte Vesperia: This is, to be sure, a major change for us. But it is not an uncalculated desire to transition. Think about it. We are constantly tugged into negative, dull routines: fighting small groups, or interacting with attackers at hours we are attempting to use to fulfill other elements. For many years, we’ve endured this . . . maybe out of pride, or habit. But these are different times. It’s now an opportune moment to make positive adjustments to empower our members to reach beyond SL, while still maintaining dominance on SL.[18:21:25] Aryte Vesperia: There will be official announcements to follow when all of these elements are live.[18:22:09] Aryte Vesperia: ✠ Looking Ahead[18:23:07] Aryte Vesperia: I am proud of the progress that the PS2 elements have provided. Major kudos to all of the Ordo involved there—we have dramatically increased our presence there to the point that it’s massively beyond expectations. We have a very strong foundation going into things. I look forward to seeing how it will progress as the number of folks on PS2 increases with more keys and the eventual release of the actual game.[18:24:15] Aryte Vesperia: That said, I implore folks to be patient with us as we sort this out. We have quite the challenge ahead of us to draft out our future. But it’s not a matter of “if,” it’s just a matter of “when” we get there.[18:26:03] Aryte Vesperia: As we have covered, this means a lot of changes to practices we’ve embraced for years. I know that will inspire a deal of confusion and potentially even resistance. But I promise we have the best intents in mind and the goals aligned for the growth and continual presence of the Ordo. With your assistance, we’ll get there a whole lot faster—just continue contribution and hold on as we get things worked out. I promise it’ll be worth it in the end.[18:26:36] Aryte Vesperia: Annnnnnnnnnd that's that. Thanks! DISMISSED. <3[18:26:36] Aryte Vesperia snaps his fist to his chest, presenting a brief salute.[18:26:41] Kasumi Quartz salutes, " Ruhm zu dem Imperator"
