Jester Spearmann
[2009/08/29 18:00] Aryte Vesperia: Okay![2009/08/29 18:00] Aryte Vesperia: Let's get to it.[2009/08/29 18:01] Jester Spearmann: I'm taking the log tonight[2009/08/29 18:01] Tiridates Mikadze: That's what she said.[2009/08/29 18:01] Ordo Utility HUD v1.4: Desereck Creeggan (1): sling[2009/08/29 18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Ladies and gentlemen, please quiet down. Tonights meeting will be . . uh.[2009/08/29 18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Interesting.[2009/08/29 18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Why? Because I am winging it.[2009/08/29 18:01] Aryte Vesperia: I have no notes, since we just spent the last four hours fighting 2142.[2009/08/29 18:01] Ordo Utility HUD v1.4: Anlysia Gregoire (1): lh[2009/08/29 18:01] Aryte Vesperia: But that's OK.[2009/08/29 18:01] Johann Wilberg is possibly sending you a message...[2009/08/29 18:02] Aryte Vesperia: To begin: 261 members, down a couple inactives.[2009/08/29 18:02] Aryte Vesperia: 17 new apps last week.[2009/08/29 18:02] Aryte Vesperia counts.[2009/08/29 18:02] Aryte Vesperia: 13 denied.[2009/08/29 18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Fook load under Curia review--wow.[2009/08/29 18:03] Aryte Vesperia: 6 pending apps.[2009/08/29 18:03] Aryte Vesperia: Combat this week, well now . .[2009/08/29 18:03] Aryte Vesperia counts again.[2009/08/29 18:04] Aryte Vesperia: 52 defensive operations.[2009/08/29 18:05] Aryte Vesperia: 8 offensive operations.[2009/08/29 18:05] Aryte Vesperia: And an allied assistance deployment.[2009/08/29 18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Significant increase from last week-- very nice.[2009/08/29 18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomacy abroad has been solid. All is quiet well in the world of SL militaries. Combat with 2142 has been great and frequent.[2009/08/29 18:06] Aryte Vesperia: 39th is a bit quiet, as they're rebuilding.[2009/08/29 18:06] Aryte Vesperia: CATI reopened their sim. Good times to be had there.[2009/08/29 18:06] Aryte Vesperia: MBC is down and out. Looks like they're kaput.[2009/08/29 18:06] Aryte Vesperia: CS active. TCG active.[2009/08/29 18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Couple new groups to consider. Well, not new, but very active.[2009/08/29 18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Excercito and BOPE. Both Brazilian. Both huge.[2009/08/29 18:07] Aryte Vesperia: We keep running into them at CATI.[2009/08/29 18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Activity in general is still lower-- school is indeed making an impact. As I've said, it'll likely resume normality around mid September. It's a trend. For what slow down we've experienced, we're faring much better than other groups.[2009/08/29 18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Verklund has been 50% in numbers as of late. Badnarik feeling it too.[2009/08/29 18:09] Aryte Vesperia: One major change I do want to mention: the officer cadre is currently reviewing the possibility of approaching Chaos for combat once more.[2009/08/29 18:10] Aryte Vesperia: I'll keep everyone up to date on that. Presuming the officers ratify the idea, the poll will be passed down to the general forums for everyone to weigh in on.[2009/08/29 18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Group cohesion is as high as ever. Very limited Curia issues to mention. So kudos.[2009/08/29 18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports?[2009/08/29 18:11] Lestat Umarov raises hand[2009/08/29 18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Umarov, for Terra.[2009/08/29 18:11] Lestat Umarov: All in all it was a good week for Terra. A couple new members and combat on both the offensive and defensive sides. Moving on to unit reports.[2009/08/29 18:12] Lestat Umarov: From Keller for Invictus: "Invictus led a rather impressive counter on Cthonic to start off the week, and hasn't lost a single bit of that momentum. We still have a vacancy in the squad - which may be filled soon. All in all a good week."[2009/08/29 18:12] Lestat Umarov: From Gulliver for Antesignani: "Large exodus this week in activity as everyone ostensibly returned to school and Gulliver started a new adult job. His hours will be curtailed to not be so late, and basically be power administration for an hour or so before bedtime. One squad member respectfully resigned and will certainly be missed. One candidate is interested in the position. All others best get in gear. Keller delivered an untextured Negev build. Tenaki's animating it. Tsume's scripting/sounding it. It is Gulliver's hope that this weapon is the most effective and efficient of all Ordo small arms. Agares says the Ballistae (howitzer to those of you not in the know) is coming along. The build is done, and it's basic functions are seemless. The HUD and various specialized munitions are in production. Estimated delivery: Next weekend (9/5). Next item of gear: Keystone's agreed to build us a Galil as a basic AR."[2009/08/29 18:12] Lestat Umarov: From Xayvien for Fulminata: "Fulminata is proud to announce that Hokusai has come back to us for the position of XO. We also have Striker Dryke active in the squad which repairs some of the inactive slots. For the time being I have nothing exciting to report for the squad aside from previously stated. Training should be going when I get an updated list of people and their times able to be online scheduled."[2009/08/29 18:12] Lestat Umarov: From myself for the Adiutor Staff: "I am pleased to say that as of last night I have made a selections for the Cohors C liason. Alexi Ayres has shown promise in her ideas for antesignani and in my oppinion I feel she was just what I was looking for ina replacement for xayvien, who has also done a fantastic job but is moving on to bigger and better things now due to having officer pants. I will be having a meeting with the staff sometime early next week to get the squad SOP moving and discuss new ideas. In terms of gear the masks that keller is working on are around 90% completed and expect them to be in general issue shortly. The sculpted revolver Syris is working on is moving along slowly but surely. I urge my staff members not to pester him about it as it will be completed as his own pace."[2009/08/29 18:13] Lestat Umarov: That concludes my report for Terra. Any additional reports may be given at the discretion of the imperator.[2009/08/29 18:13] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent, thank you for the comprehensive reviews this week. Good to see progress.[2009/08/29 18:13] Aryte Vesperia: Next?[2009/08/29 18:14] Sosarin Demar raises his hand.[2009/08/29 18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Demar, for Astra.[2009/08/29 18:14] Sosarin Demar: Combat participation seems to be at a nominal level. Start of classes has put a dent in a few folks, but we're still good. Fighter training queue has been clear. Toward the end of the week Heather worked more on bomber training -- many thanks, it's much needed. I also give thanks to Detox and others who've hosted/participated in imprompt dogfight practice. Anyway, I hope to see some work get done in that arena as well as Terminus for next week. That concludes this week's report for Astra.[2009/08/29 18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you for the report, Astra. I would expect all the new sim openings will see a return to a higher use of air power, so no worries there.[2009/08/29 18:15] Sosarin Demar: eeeeaaaaaaaah!!! <:0[2009/08/29 18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Do any other units wish to report this evening?[2009/08/29 18:16] Tiridates Mikadze raises his hand.[2009/08/29 18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Mikadze.[2009/08/29 18:17] Aryte Vesperia: For the Frumentarii, I presume. Or Culinarius.[2009/08/29 18:18] Aelus Janus makes a chopping motion with his hands, to effectively illustrate and facilitate understanding of what Culinarius does.[2009/08/29 18:18] Agares Tretiak: "Castrations?"[2009/08/29 18:18] Tiridates Mikadze: Just wanted to say that at current, all is calm, but I again urge continued vigilence from our members.[2009/08/29 18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Hold comments.[2009/08/29 18:18] Tiridates Mikadze: uh, that's all at the moment :<[2009/08/29 18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you.[2009/08/29 18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Any other units?[2009/08/29 18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent, moving on then.[2009/08/29 18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Old business. This group will allow attackers to set their homes in Chronus, Salamis, Elshout, etc.[2009/08/29 18:32] Aryte Vesperia: I would expect this to increase overall density of assaults upon the region, but, it'll also assist in latency.[2009/08/29 18:33] Aryte Vesperia: The only fall back would be the potential for abuse of the hub. Unsavory types can easily use it to cause us some difficulty. Thankfully most problems would be caught by the 30 day send homer.[2009/08/29 18:34] Aryte Vesperia: If at any time you do experience an issue of abuse of the hub, please notify me immediately.[2009/08/29 18:34] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?[2009/08/29 18:34] Tiridates Mikadze raises his hand.[2009/08/29 18:34] Aryte Vesperia: Tiridates.[2009/08/29 18:35] Tiridates Mikadze: So, what happens if we get someone who attacks for, say, 8 hours straight for some reason, by way of outrageous example. Reviews: the mainstay of unlocks will be awarded based upon a review system, in which an individual opts-in and requests a personnel review from their immediate superior. Said commanding officer or command sergeant is then responsible for completing a provided review form. Based upon that review, the individual receives a number of ‘quality points.’ After accruing X amount (based upon tier—explained below), of quality points, he or she receives an unlock.[2009/08/29 18:42] Aryte Vesperia: There will be a limit of [2] reviews permissible per month: thus allowing for a total number of [100] quality points monthly to be earned this way. The beauty of reviews is: not only does it provide the opportunity for gear, but it provides feedback to the group’s personnel and streamlines communication. Reviews may be requested anywhere from the 1st to the 25th, allowing for ample time and opportunity for the command personnel member to process and file it—from the time of requesting a review, a command NCO or officer has [4] days to complete it.[2009/08/29 18:43] GNR Juke HUD: Playing...[2009/08/29 18:43] Aryte Vesperia: There must be at least [7] days elapsed between each review request: for example, if you request a review on the [23rd], and it is your first review for the month . . . unfortunately, you’ve forfeit your second review for that month! In the event that the direct superior of an individual is unavailable (ex; an octet lead is on vacation), the responsibility is passed up to the next level of command (in that example, the century leader). Reviews have no negative repercussions: you can only benefit by requesting them, so there’s no reason not to take advantage of the [2] a month limit! The worst case scenario from requesting a review would simply be not receiving the maximum [50] quality points from the review.[2009/08/29 18:43] Aryte Vesperia: Why only [2] a month? Logistics and numeric reasons—we don’t want to overburden or turn this into a “review grind†for quality points. After a review is completed, the officer/nco sends a copy in with his weekly report. Quality points will be totaled weekly and unlocks issued every Saturday.[2009/08/29 18:44] Aryte Vesperia: With me so far? Any questions about that?[2009/08/29 18:44] Czyrek Essel raises hand[2009/08/29 18:44] GNR Juke HUD: Playing...[2009/08/29 18:44] Jayce Iredell raises hand[2009/08/29 18:45] Aryte Vesperia: Czyrek.[2009/08/29 18:45] Czyrek Essel: what if you are not online around the same time as your direct superior and they dont realy get a chance to see much of you to know enough to review you[2009/08/29 18:46] Aryte Vesperia: The form provided for review is seperated into several categories:[2009/08/29 18:47] Aryte Vesperia: > I. Tally that up. Then he can check Curia reports. Tally that up. He could check around and see what you've contributed for the week through paper trail, etc.[2009/08/29 18:48] Aryte Vesperia: Make sense?[2009/08/29 18:49] Czyrek Essel: yes sir[2009/08/29 18:49] Agares Tretiak raises his hand.[2009/08/29 18:50] Aryte Vesperia: Jayce?[2009/08/29 18:50] Jayce Iredell: For those of us with unlcoked gear from the past, will we be able to update it?[2009/08/29 18:51] Aryte Vesperia: Of course.[2009/08/29 18:51] GNR Juke: Could not find script 'New Script'.[2009/08/29 18:51] GNR Juke: Could not find script 'New Script'.[2009/08/29 18:51] GNR Juke: Could not find script 'New Script'.[2009/08/29 18:51] GNR Juke: Could not find script 'New Script'.[2009/08/29 18:51] GNR Radio (wear) is tuning...[2009/08/29 18:51] Aryte Vesperia: Agares?[2009/08/29 18:51] Agares Tretiak: So, owuld this paper trail include specific types of training on tactics to utilize say...heavy weapons in a support role?[2009/08/29 18:52] Aryte Vesperia: Of course.[2009/08/29 18:52] Agares Tretiak: Alright.[2009/08/29 18:52] Agares Tretiak: Thank you, sir.[2009/08/29 18:52] Detox Exonar: hand up[2009/08/29 18:53] Aryte Vesperia: I will have the actual form for you all to read done tonight, or tomorrow morning. I'd have it ready now, but I was a bit distracted by 2142, haha.[2009/08/29 18:53] Aryte Vesperia: Detox?[2009/08/29 18:53] Detox Exonar: potential of administrative nightmare - what is to prevent every member of a co's command to make the requesst like clockwork each month on the 1st and 8th?[2009/08/29 18:55] Aryte Vesperia: I don't see how that's anything close to a nightmare. The form will take a whopping twenty, thirty minutes to complete. Feasibly, how many active people does each commander have in his direct lead? Octet wise, 7, 8? Elite squads 10.[2009/08/29 18:55] Detox Exonar: rog[2009/08/29 18:56] Aryte Vesperia: Knowing your personnel, being able to directly account for them, and being able to relate as knowing their position, duties, progress . . that's a good trade! I could see how that could potentially be a pain in the ass, but I promise it won't be difficult.[2009/08/29 18:56] Aryte Vesperia: Any other questions on that?[2009/08/29 18:57] Aryte Vesperia: Great.[2009/08/29 18:57] Aryte Vesperia: The second option to earn points is: Ib. Special commendation: reviews may not be everyone’s forte—so they’re not specifically mandatory to receive quality points/unlocks. A special commendation is a rather blanket term, quality points/unlocks may be attached to: merits, accomplishments (ex; the shooting range), or even stand alone—like if your officer witnesses an exemplary feat of valor and wishes to reward you with a quality point payout. These circumstances will be more of the exception than the norm, but will still provide a respectable number of opportunities.[2009/08/29 18:57] Aryte Vesperia: Simple as that.[2009/08/29 18:58] Aryte Vesperia: Unlocks shall correspond to tiers-- each taking X amount of "quality points" to reach.[2009/08/29 18:58] Aryte Vesperia: Quality points are sort of like exp, whereas an unlock point is an actual negotiable instrument—as in, you can use it to get gear. Tiers, feasibly, have no roof, so as additional gear is added we will simply increase the number of tiers. The formula is simple. Tier 1 begins at 100 points. Tier two is 250 points. Tier three 450 points. Tier four is 700 points. Don’t be confused, however, when you reach tier one . . . you keep that 100 points, it doesn’t just vanish. So you do not need 250 additional quality points to reach the next level, just 150 more! Make sense?[2009/08/29 18:59] Czyrek Essel raises paw again[2009/08/29 18:59] Aryte Vesperia: Czyrek.[2009/08/29 18:59] Czyrek Essel: what are in the teirs? for instance before could you not choose any one thing with one unlock point?[2009/08/29 19:00] Aryte Vesperia: Good question.[2009/08/29 19:00] Aryte Vesperia: As point tiers increase, the significance of each unlock equally increases. There are three types of unlock points: primary, secondary, and special. Primary points unlock basic weapons, like shotguns and assault rifles. Secondary points unlock heavier weapons, like the Adjudicator or a rocket launcher . . in addition to anything the primary point could unlock.
