[2010/09/19 15:08] Eriksson Foxtrot: To begin, I thank you all for taking the time to attend this rather 'spontaneous' meeting, and let me say: "Wow, it's a little overdue". Getting together as a squad can sometimes be difficult, especially with large numbers like ours.

[2010/09/19 15:08] Eriksson Foxtrot: Get relaxed, this'll be somewhat long. I'll be covering quite a few topics this evening. In order, I'll list what I'll be covering. First up we'll be talking briefly about the change of command, next we'll be talking about squad activity, then followed up with squad roles.

[2010/09/19 15:08] Eriksson Foxtrot: Once we're done with the internal Victrix squad topics, we'll head onto the topic of 'Alpha Squads', and after we'll touch upon Ordo Imperialis involvement. Then wrap it up with open floor, and maybe a training!

[2010/09/19 15:08] Eriksson Foxtrot: So, lets press onward.

|Change of Command|

[2010/09/19 15:09] Eriksson Foxtrot: First topic: Change of Command in regards to [b-1] Victrix.

[2010/09/19 15:09] Eriksson Foxtrot: Victrix has undergone a very minor change of command; Zanndor has stepped down so he can work on getting settled in as [A-1] Invictus CO, and summarily left me in charge as I was the XO of B-1.

[2010/09/19 15:09] Eriksson Foxtrot: As you're all aware, I am now your CO and I'll be handling all of your PRFs, questions, comments, or even concerns. Feel free to bug me at any given time for any of them!

[2010/09/19 15:09] Eriksson Foxtrot: So a quick summary of what happened:

Zanndor Aeon left B-1 CO, and is now A-1 CO.

Eriksson Foxtrot left B-1 XO, and is now B-1 CO, and A-1 XO.

[2010/09/19 15:10] Eriksson Foxtrot: Next up on the list: Activity & Inactivities.

[2010/09/19 15:11] Eriksson Foxtrot: I am just going to briefly touch upon this. I understand college and university has hit pretty hard for some people, but please give me notice when you go inactive for a prolonged period of time. It helps me out so when it comes time for weekly reports I don't accidently file you as "Inactive."

[2010/09/19 15:11] Eriksson Foxtrot: You can even submit a inactivity thread on the Inactivity Announcements forum; I look at those daily! Most of you here in attendance today are in very good standing Activity-wise, so don't be worried! I am simply mentioning it right now incase in the near future you need to take a break or whatever you know to let me know in an IM.

[2010/09/19 15:13] Eriksson Foxtrot: Great! Next up: Internal Squad Roles!

[2010/09/19 15:13] Eriksson Foxtrot: This is the one where you all poke your ears up listening. :>

[2010/09/19 15:13] Eriksson Foxtrot: I've been quite busy looking for a candidate out of this squad to assume the open 'Executive Officer' (XO) position of [b-1] Victrix.

[2010/09/19 15:14] Eriksson Foxtrot: A brief definition of who the XO would be:

[2010/09/19 15:14] Eriksson Foxtrot: the respective secondary officer of the Victrix squad, assisting in day to day command and control. They are responsible for assuming command in the absence of the commanding officer.

[2010/09/19 15:14] Eriksson Foxtrot: So, I'll be looking at each and everyone of you individually to see if you might be suitable for the position!

[2010/09/19 15:15] Eriksson Foxtrot: You can even poke your interest in the position through IMs, that always helps as it shows your initiative.

[2010/09/19 15:15] Eriksson Foxtrot: Also, on the side of the XO we've got the open 'Aquilifer' position.

[2010/09/19 15:15] Eriksson Foxtrot: The Aquilifer, historically, served as a position of honor. These individuals were standard bearers for their individual units. In this application, it would be fitting to use appointment into this position as a denotation of expertise, service, and so forth. Duties would include acting as the unit’s senior most combatant expert.

[2010/09/19 15:16] Eriksson Foxtrot: You don't need to be the best in ability with combat, to know a lot about combat.

[2010/09/19 15:17] Eriksson Foxtrot: So if you think you're not as good of a combatant as you think you are, don't fret! You can also know a lot about combat as well.

[2010/09/19 15:17] Eriksson Foxtrot: and the ability comes over a long period of time, you get better and better each and everythime you use a weapon.

[2010/09/19 15:17] Eriksson Foxtrot: So basically:

[2010/09/19 15:17] Eriksson Foxtrot: I am looking for somebody who demonstrates an adequate amount of knowledge in regards to combat. Somebody who can teach the young guns in the squad some tricks to gain edge in combat.

[2010/09/19 15:18] Eriksson Foxtrot: And lastly, introducing the 'Orientation NCO' position.

[2010/09/19 15:18] Eriksson Foxtrot: The orientation NCO is utilized to ensure a specific individual is responsible within the Victrix squad to ensure all personnel are properly introduced and socialized into the unit for immersion.

[2010/09/19 15:19] Eriksson Foxtrot: For this position, typically looking for somebody who is outgoing, friendly, and willing to help and introduce new people.

[2010/09/19 15:20] Eriksson Foxtrot: and on with that, that concludes the current open slots and squad roles.

[2010/09/19 15:20] Eriksson Foxtrot: I'll be looking closely at potential prospects, and if I think one of you are up to the task and can handle one of the mention positions, I'll tap you on the shoulder. Also! Don't be afraid to express interest in specific unit roles! I take your initiative as a positive! You can let me know in IMs after this meeting if interested!

[2010/09/19 15:22] Eriksson Foxtrot: Alright. You guys are mighty quiet this afternoon.

|Alpha Squads|

[2010/09/19 15:22] Eriksson Foxtrot: Next topic; Alpha Squads!

[2010/09/19 15:22] Eriksson Foxtrot: Individuals who are members of the Cohors A denotation are among the most active personnel, fitting within one of the alpha units: Invictus [Cohors A, Century I], Antesignani [Cohors A, Century II], Insidiae [Cohors A, Century III].

[2010/09/19 15:23] Eriksson Foxtrot: There are a few requirements before you can get into an Alpha Squad though. The main ones being: You must be atleast an E-3, you must have been in Ordo for atleast 30 calender days, No curia reports on file within last 90 days, must show combat excellence that fits one of the three Alpha Squads, and must gain approval to join preferred Alpha Squad by the respective Alpha Squad Commanding and Executive Officers.

[2010/09/19 15:23] Eriksson Foxtrot: A brief description of each Alpha Squad, starting with Invictus, then Antesignani, and ending it with Insidiae.

[2010/09/19 15:24] Eriksson Foxtrot: [A-1] Invictus:

[2010/09/19 15:24] Eriksson Foxtrot: The Drop Pod Commando Elite squad of the Ordo Imperialis. Typically elite close quarter combatants, with the ability to break into the enemies defensive lines. Also known as the Frontline shock-trooper squad. They mainly use an SMG and light gear to get up close and personal, assaulting the defense line and rushing in head first. They try and break a hole into a defense and secure a position with the use of close combat force tactics. They strike fear into the enemy and break their spirit by relentlessly pushing forward and eliminating those around them.

[2010/09/19 15:26] Eriksson Foxtrot: [A-2] Antesignani:

[2010/09/19 15:26] Eriksson Foxtrot: Antesignani's role is that of Long Range Fire Support. With an LMG as their primary weapon, they engage at range making sure to only remove enemy targets and firing over the shoulders of their Invictus brothers. As an Armored division, they take several roles. Ranged support as well as a spearhead on offense and a stable defense post on defense.

[2010/09/19 15:27] Eriksson Foxtrot: Infiltration;

[2010/09/19 15:27] Eriksson Foxtrot: While Invictus and Antesignani are duking it out with the enemy, Insidiae is moving quickly and swiftly in cover to secure other positions. They try and get to different positions and spread out on the line only to pull everyone in their squad to a weakness in the defense and exploit it using their SMG's and demolitions to cover their tracks and make sure the weak point in the defense stays exactly where it is.

[2010/09/19 15:29] Jake Stoanes: Would you suggest that people actually pick the alpha squad based on their combat style and the alpha squads? Since I understand there are people who just join any group they can get into because it is an alpha squad after all. Or because they have friends in the squad.

[2010/09/19 15:30] Eriksson Foxtrot: Typically you want to pick the Alpha Squad that best suits you, and your fighting style.

[2010/09/19 15:30] Eriksson Foxtrot: Invictus is 'up in the enemies face; Antesignani are long range support with tanks; and Insidiae are 'medium' range demolishons.

[2010/09/19 15:31] Tsukiyomi Yuhara: I know the invictus gets a drop pod, and insindae gets thier sword, but I'm curious is there a place to see what each squad gets as far as gear advancements?

|Ordo Imperialis Involvement & Dismissal|

[2010/09/19 15:33] Eriksson Foxtrot: Awesome! Moving onto my final topic I'll be speaking about today.

[2010/09/19 15:33] Eriksson Foxtrot: Involvement in the Ordo Imperialis.

[2010/09/19 15:33] Eriksson Foxtrot: I'll be very brief with this, doesn't take a whole lot of word.

[2010/09/19 15:33] Eriksson Foxtrot: If you're not already involved in a secondary division like the Imperial Education Academy, or Officium Curia... you should definitely think about getting placement! If you like teaching, and being the cadet's guide, then IEA is the place to go! If you're more of the 'Office' type, getting into light investigations, dealing with trouble etc, then Curia is your way to go! Both of them will open many many opportunities in your later career in the Ordo Imperialis.
