Kytec Switchblade
This is the game I play while im bored at work. It's free to play, but if you want to get items off the auction house before the timer runs out, get buffs and abilities, or have a faster cool down on attacking monsters and players then you can pay for rubies and use them accordingly. This link to sign up:/>http://s3.gladiatus.com/game/c.php?uid=204542Here's a breakdown of the entire game! This is the basic overview of your character's stats, items, and inventory.Items and weapons have a diverse set of stats, My weapon has high dps, decent stats, and a good upgrade in dam for my level. This is my chest armor, with an upgrade to skill. Each piece has different possible stats, but not unlike diablo 2 certain names on certain base sets create different stats. A basic "copper shoulders" has about 10 defense and no stats.Upgrade items come separately, and denote what specific pieces they can be used on. They are applied simply by dragging to an item without a previous upgrade. While killing players and monsters you tend to lose some HP, and while it does regenerate on it's own, it can take a day or more to fully heal. Food items regenerate denoted amounts of HP instantly and can be reused. They also have hilarious excessively epic names for no apparent reason. You can check your combat stats in one of the overview tabs. I'm not doing too badly. As you can see you can lose gold in fights, so stockpiling as much gold as you can is a bad idea, I believe the take is 5-10% of your total gold, but they can get banned for attacking you 5 times in a week. People of a much higher bracket than you that attack you tend to not get any gold, and usually its very difficult to find other gladiators that are much lower in level than yourself. The achievement title system is pretty extensive. Just about any action in the game has an achievement. Achievements all have different levels. My current title Pluto's Deathbringer comes from killing 150 players (killing being dropping them to 0 hp, which is very uncommon as usually they lose a small amount of hp, and a win is determined by who lost more hp in 3 rounds)Guilds in the game each have their own zone where they can build various buildings, and have a hierarchy of rank. In this guild they have the same rankings as Ordo, and I am a Legates, tho in the near future I should make Praetorian! Guilds can save you money on training, can store boss mobs for fights, can heal a certain amount of hp, have private markets, and can have bannors that boost stats for money that is donated to the guild. There are also guild vs guild battles that earn all of the participants exp, gold, and honor. The auction house refreshes every 6 or so hours with a huge list of items that -could- be found in the base stores, except without the ruby fee. Rubies, as mentioned earlier, are bought thru RL cash. Say a sword you really want is on the weapon merchant. If you go to the auction house, there is a very slim chance you will find that same sword, but similar weapons, that have or might have appeared on the merchants (all are randomized) will be listed. On the auction you may "buy it now" if you have the rubies needed to own the item, if not you can bid gold only. Once you bid, that money is gone, and if someone outbids you you will not receive your deposit back, so make sure you bid last before the auction refreshes. Auction times are denoted by very long, long, short, and very short. Very short is 15 minutes long, while the others split the rest of the 6 hours with randomly varying denominations of time. There are filters that select between weapons, chest armor, helmets, rings, amulets, shoes, gloves, shields, upgrade items, usable or food items, mercenaries, and reinforcements which are temporary stat boosting items, and then can be filtered by level, item name, and rarity. Generaly the game follows most mmo color schemes for items, White is basic statless, green is an item with stats, blue is an item with stats that have a higher capacity than their level usually does, and purple have hugely excessive stats for their level, but can only be dropped off dungeon bosses or found in a 1 in 10,000 chance on the merchants for a tremendous amount of money and rubies, and only appear at extremely high levels.Shops will have items that are usually far below your level. Occasionally you'll get lucky and it'll show something you can actually use, but then the better the item the higher chance it will cost rubies. I have a plugin that gives a side by side comparison of the shop item and my own.Fighting monsters in gladiatus is done by selecting the area to fight from the world map, then selecting the "amount of force" to use, by going in solo, with a small team, or with a raid, which are all exactly the same thing, just you fighting, but will use differing amounts of time before you can attack again, aswell as giving multipliers to exp and money for the larger selections. As a guardian I get reduced re-attack timers, where a free account waits 10 minutes between attacks, I have to wait 5. which is a waste since i'm never on time and end up waiting 10 minutes anyway.Battles are instant, but tell you exp and gold earned, then randomly generate a story detailing every attack in some epic manor. There is also an extremely intricate dungeon system. In dungeons, you go alone and you're dead. You have to create a war party of mercenaries that you buy and outfit with gear. The combat system changes dramatically, introducing the prospect of healers and tanks aswell as dps. Each mercenary can have their prefrence set on their respective inventory pages.Ofcorse I fail at dungeon battles because i don't have the maximum mercenaries, and the ones i have are unequipped and severely under level. I figured it would be more productive to have maxed gear and stats instead of maxing 5 chars at once, that's just expensive. As you can see, my mercenary is a lazy lvl 11 black man. Each mercenary in a dungeon battle has their own little icon over yours that shows their hp and stats after a battle. While fighting in a dungeon the enemy monster will scale in difficulty to keep the battle from lasting forever. I have seen them reach 125 turns, but it's calculated instantly. The tavern is the home for quests, and the 2nd tab at the top of the tavern is dungeon quests. Each quest is randomly generated, sometimes it asks to kill mobs, sometimes it asks to search an area (which is the same as clicking the 2nd tier of time on any given area to fight a mob), sometimes it asks to retrieve an item that will drop off a specified mob, or any random mob, and other times it will ask to have you speak with an npc whom will then give you one of the former 3 types of quests. The reward in gold and the exp are random, as well as the occasional item reward. You can pick up a quest once every 30 minutes, and can have up to 3 at a time.Your inbox tells you all of your actions as well as your messages from players. Deaths, victories, and auction actions are all recorded here. When you buy or recieve an item in any way your "packages" window of messages will have your items waiting for you. They go on forever so no losing items. At your leisure you may drag them to your inventory.Training is pretty basic, the higher you train your stats the more expensive they get. Every 10 str is 1 damage min and max. Every 1 constitution is 2 hp. Every point of charisma is compared to the opponent, the more you have over them the better your chance to double hit in 1 turn (theres some formula to it) Agility and Skill are calculated strangely, your agility is nullified by the amount of skill you're opponent has and visa versa then the remainder is calculated into a percent. Block, hardening value, and critical damage are all also calculated in some ridiculous way that really has little to no effectiveness after level 15 ish. (at 12 and under you can have up to 90% block, since somewhere in the equation it divides by your level after 12 it becomes nearly impossible, and by 25ish block is almost completely ineffective). Intel effects healing in dungeons and the amount of hp food heals you by. Items that give a % effect based on your base or trained stat, so i have 120 str 49 basic and 75 thru items. The more I train str the higher the max limit is, meaning I would need more powerful items to meet the stat cap. You can go over the cap, which is when you just train the crap out of it till it matches up.again, here's the link to sign up. />http://s3.gladiatus.com/game/c.php?uid=204542great at work time waster that doesn't really waste much time. The item system is what got me, it's so advanced, but you really can't play it all day because of all the waiting. Best daily energy type browser game ive found for sure. Kytec Switchblade
when i'm super bored at work i keep track of it like thisName - LV - % - Gold~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Noqualms - 50 - 85% - 2754 / 1564 / 280 / 200jova77 - 56 - 84% - 1138 / 4773 / 4659 / 2030cul76 - 52 - 91% - 3751 / 2569 / 3302 / Capri - 58 - 87% - 3861 / 5383 / 0 / 0qwad - 50 - 87% - 1481 / 2280 / 2443Staerlok - 51 - 80% - 2303 / 195 / 709havoc_wardog - 50 - 75% - 1936 / 1499 / 596vyruz - 55 - 77% - 1666 / 103insignificant - 54 - 76% - 1987 / 3887 / lose / 3130almighty008 - 55 - 80% - 1305 / 32 / 705banbeo - 59 - 63% - 1324 / lose / 1566 / flotsum - 53 - 81% - 1600 / 982ChaoticPink - 54 - 79% - 1597 / 2210 / 3932remix - 53 - 63% - 2087 / 1738jarrit - 55 - 58% - 4165 / lose / loseSHADOW. - 54 - 58% - 2652 / lose /Nyhm - 50 - 80% - 1415 / 70 / 151% = %chance to win which my plugin shows me (you can still lose to an 80% its all chance)after 4 attacks in 1 week they can report you for "bashing" and get you banned for a week (yes its happened and SHADOW. was the culprit. a rich prick with 3 accounts that feeds himself money to succeed, he's a few lvls higher but more often than not I still kick his ass. There is also a ranking ladder for your level bracket, 1-9 10-19 20-29 ect. At the #1 spot th elonger you hold the position the more money accumulates in the victory bonus. I have won multiple times on every bracket except the last one where I accidentally leveled too fast and missed it.If you attack players in your bracket you rank up on "circus omnipotens" which logs how many victories youve had compared to your piers, it refreshes every few minutes, but when it does #1 gets an amount of gold based off your level, in my bracket it's 520gTheres a circus trauma aswell, which is pvp dungeon battles where your mercenaries fight each other as well.
