Ordo MEETING 091209

Recommended Posts

[18:00] Aryte Vesperia: Welcome everyone. Let's get started.

[18:00] Aryte Vesperia: Foremost, I have Ventrilo muted. I will not be able to hear anything said on there.

[18:00] Aryte Vesperia: So, please do not ask questions or comment to me on Ventrilo.

[18:01] Aryte Vesperia: I look forward to tonight’s meeting and appreciate you all showing up. This week has been fairly eventful:

[18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Current members as of this evening: 261.

[18:02] Aryte Vesperia: 9 new applications, 7 denied, 2 waiting review by Curia. 1 additional app added today.

[18:02] Aryte Vesperia: 38 defensive operations, 7 offensive operations.

[18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Multiple trainings. I did not get the statistics on them, my apologies.

[18:03] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomacy wise, the field has been fairly steady. The school year cool down still seems to be lingering: there is a drastic cut back along all of our enemy targets. Hours of operation seem to shift later for many. The effect is slowly dying off here at home: activity is up and steadily increasing. As mentioned, this is pretty common. I would expect a return to normal levels around the end of September.

[18:03] Aryte Vesperia: Moving right along. Unit reports?

[18:04] Sosarin Demar raises his hand.

[18:04] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Demar, for Astra.

[18:04] Sosarin Demar: On my end, I spent this week conducting some administrative maintenance, such as consolodating active personnel into more cohesive, healthy units and clearing out inactives from the Apostles. Terminus is still putting together resources, but is making some progress. I hope to meet with CS soon along with Kraa to talk about admonitor usage, for instance. At least, until Wolfshaman's dropship project can be scripted and textured.

[18:04] Sosarin Demar: Next week, I hope to see some dropship activity in some shape or form with Terminus and I'm going to be sending out a note to all who expressed administrative interest illustrating prospective assignments. It's been a week, and I apologize deeply for the wait. But, it'll be a fat note. That conclude's this week's report for Astra.

[18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, Mr. Demar.

[18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Next?

[18:05] Lestat Umarov raises hand

[18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Umarov, for Terra.

[18:05] Lestat Umarov: With the start of the school year things have slowed down, as expected, for Ordo in general. despite this combat has still been somewhat frequent and there's a constant prescence on base. Training has continued to be help as well as raids. Now, onto unit reports.

[18:05] Lestat Umarov: From Keller for Invictus: "A solid week from Invictus. Due to computer problems I haven't been as active on the combat / training front as I'd like to be, but on the other hand I've been burning through the paperwork side of things. Invictus as usual performed well in raids and in defense."

[18:06] Lestat Umarov: From Zerowinged for Antesignani: "Antesignani has added two things to our weekly schedule. One being another training time on Wendsdays and two being a weekly sunday raid. Production continuing on the few building projects we have going. All good in Antesignani!"

[18:06] Lestat Umarov: From Zrazor for Fulmianata: "Xayvien has taken a temporary, but indefinite leave of absence and as such, I have been appointed XO and will be taking direct command of the group in his wake. I intend to pick up where Xayvien left off and then some with as few transitional bumps as possible. Training and regular meetings will resume within the upcoming week. Additionally, one spot in the squad has opened up and I intend to begin scouting immediately for a replacement."

[18:06] Lestat Umarov: From myself for the Adiutor Staff: "Things have been going smoothly for the Adiutor staff. I'd like to thank Alexi first off for showing a good understanding of the way the staff works. You started off running and you have not disappointed. I will be holding a meeting either tommorow or sometime next week to discuss a few things I plan on tasking out to the staff. It should help chip away at the massive to do list I have and improve Terra as a whiole. In terms of gear the masks are still on the way. I expect them to be finished as soon as Keller's PC surgery is completed. As for the revolver, it's coming in due time. Do NOT pester anyone involved on the project. On a personal note I will be moving in the next few days and plan on taking a temporary leave of absense. I will be appointing Centurion Breed in charge of all Terra command matters and Optio Vasiliev in charge of all Adiutor tasks until I return."

[18:06] Lestat Umarov: That concludes my report for this week. Any additional reports may be given at the discretion of the Imperator.

[18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you Mr. Umarov. Welcome to Fulminata command, Zrazor Rozenstrauch. Best wishes.

[18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Do any other units wish to report this evening?

[18:07] Zrazor Rozenstrauch raises hand.

[18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Rozenstrauch, for Tactica I presume.

[18:08] Zrazor Rozenstrauch: Yes sir.

[18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Proceed.

[18:08] Zrazor Rozenstrauch: Tactica is functioning as normal, with sim recon and the raid board being kept up to date. Tactica has also established several new defined projects to be worked on and a couple of them are underway. Currently, we are focusing two projects. The first focuses on drawing up battle plans to aid in preraid briefings and to increase combat effectiveness on assaults. The second centers around gathering a database of both allied and enemy uniforms and rank structures for the purpose of forming an academy and educating personnel on recognizing who they will be encountering in the field.

[18:08] Zrazor Rozenstrauch: Progress in these side projects is going a little slower than I'd like, however, as we are truthfully understaffed and are in need of people to assist.. Applications are still being accepted and we are still in need of Proctors and such, so if anyone's interested, IM me for an application after the meeting.

[18:08] Zrazor Rozenstrauch: That concludes the report for Tactica this week.

[18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, Mr. Rozenstrauch. I look forward to seeing Tactica's expansion and continued employment.

[18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Do any other units wish to submit a report this evening?

[18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Final call for additional reports.

[18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, moving on at this time. Old business.

[18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Do any of you present have any old business to bring up for discussion this evening?

[18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Final call for old business.

[18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Moving on to keynote discussions this evening.

[18:12] Aryte Vesperia: I have a few topics to cover this evening. Pardon me if it takes a moment, I did not prepare notes.

[18:13] Aryte Vesperia: After which, I will open it up to general discussion.

[18:13] Aryte Vesperia: First and foremost, November 5th is our anniversary date. We're inching closer and closer to it. Last November 5th, I laid out a challenge: let's hit 300 members before we hit out 2009 anniversary.

[18:13] Aryte Vesperia: That leaves us with a gap of 39.

[18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Somewhat farfetched, factoring in our quality expectations (lol 9 apps denied last week). But . . nothing stopping us from trying.

[18:15] Aryte Vesperia: I have laid out the order to Mr. Itamae of Schola: get it done. So, if you have any friends or acquaintences who may be interested in the Ordo . . send 'em over for an application.

[18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Numbers aren't everything. In fact, I'd rather have one good applicant than fifty bad ones.

[18:16] Aryte Vesperia: But if we can scrape up some good material before Nov 5th, all the more power to all of us.

[18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?

[18:17] Ethan Schuman raises his hand.

[18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman.

[18:18] Tenaki Kupferberg raises paw.

[18:18] Ethan Schuman: Not so much a question as a comment. I think it would be wise if we started looking outside the community for fresh faces. There are people out there who would mae good soldiers, they just haven't been brought into the community. Let's get together some recruiting efforts and go find them.

[18:18] Aelus Janus: Oh shit, warp gate is closing.

[18:19] Aryte Vesperia: If you have any suggestions or ideas as to how, I would be interested in hearing them. Perhaps that would be a good topic for tomorrow's officer discussion.

[18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Kupferberg?

[18:19] Tenaki Kupferberg: On the subject of getting more members, Tenten is bored. Can Tenten have his old job back?

[18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Yes. We will arrange it.

[18:20] DamionStJames Webb: YAY

[18:20] Tenaki Kupferberg: :D

[18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Any last questions?

[18:20] Vincent Lucerne: \o/!!

[18:21] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Next topic.

[18:21] Aryte Vesperia: As good of time as any to comment about it: Praetorian revamp.

[18:22] Aryte Vesperia: I want to apologize for how slow the Praetorian revamp is professing. I grossly underestimated how busy I would be in class this semester. It will continue and, god willing, move forward within the month. I will keep everyone up to date as the design is hammered out.

[18:23] Aryte Vesperia: To put it into perspective. I estimated four term papers. I have about eighteen papers to write. Yay senior year.

[18:23] Vincent Lucerne: x-x good luck sir.

[18:23] Vex Naxos: fun fun..

[18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Joyous. Moving on.

[18:24] Aryte Vesperia: PRFs were live this week: thank you to everyone who participated. I will incorporate the PRF announcements as to "who was filed this week" during the promotion comments of every meeting. The points gained will be private, so as not to embarrass anyone.

[18:24] Aryte Vesperia: We had eight PRFs filled out this week. That's a great start.

[18:24] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you to everyone who participated.

[18:25] Aryte Vesperia: For those of you didn't: get to it!

[18:25] Aryte Vesperia: See your unit commanders with questions.

[18:25] Aryte Vesperia: On the topic of reports . .

[18:25] Aryte Vesperia: I am rethinking as to how Terra (Astra too, if needed) weekly reports are filed. Currently, we keep experiencing the following scenario:

[18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Cohors X leader is missing Octet 1 and 2 because Century leader X 1 is awol.

[18:27] Aryte Vesperia: The probability is I will have a drop box of some sort worked out, so that it'll be as simple as dropping your report into a big proverbial box that your commanders and supreme commander (Legates) can sift through.

[18:27] Aryte Vesperia: This will spare the "omg I didn't get 9 reports" IMs I get on Friday at 8 PM, because someone forgot to trasmit them up the channel.

[18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?

[18:28] Scientific Waffle raises hand...

[18:28] Jayce Iredell raises hand

[18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Waffle.

[18:28] Scientific Waffle: Question withdrawn.

[18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Very well.

[18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Iredell.

[18:29] Jayce Iredell: Didn't we do the 'daily report box' before? I clearly remember something similar in the past that bombed.

[18:30] Aryte Vesperia: I do not recall that.

[18:30] Johann Wilberg does.

[18:30] Cyphre Iredell: (combat reports, prior to the forum, during the old battlefield build)

[18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Ah, thank you Ms. Iredell.

[18:31] Aryte Vesperia: Thankfully the standards and situation have changed dramatically. Failure to submit a weekly report is grounds for termination of command.

[18:31] Aryte Vesperia: So the motivation not to 'bomb' is a bit higher.

[18:31] Aryte Vesperia: Any final questions?

[18:32] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on.

[18:32] Keystone Gray: I have a question, actually.

[18:32] Keystone Gray: Actually, nevermind, I'll withhold it.

[18:32] Aryte Vesperia: On an entirely different tangent, I would like to address something in regards to my own conduct. Some of you may have seen this on the forums. Regardless, I will restate it here.

[18:33] Aryte Vesperia: 'The burden of leadership is closely tied to the burden of scrutiny—externally and internally. This much has become vividly clear over short period of time. I find no individual at fault, other than myself. With my experience, it should have been obvious to me that my personal affairs would be as much of a gossip item as my policy making.

[18:34] Aryte Vesperia: As such, I offer an apology to the Ordo Imperialis at whole. It was a mistake to involve myself personally in the way of romantics, with any individual associated with the group itself. With leadership comes the expectation of altruism and an impeccable character. Providing open avenues only allows for one to be attacked and, in a situation where I operate as the sole source of absolute authority in the organization, attacking me is equivalent to attacking the group itself.

[18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Going forward, it will be my aim and assurance that any further developments or matters that pertain directly to my personal life and concerns will remain far from the professional umbrella. Although I am more than confident in my capability to provide an unbiased, neutral decision within an ethical realm, the exposure to being claimed as bias or providing some sort of favoritism on account of personal attachment is an unacceptable venture.

[18:36] Aryte Vesperia: The utilitarian mindset: the greater good, the affirming of the group value above self, otherwise demands that I sacrifice personal afflictions, emotionally or otherwise, for the state of my position. I accept that and will act accordingly. Therefore, any venture henceforth will remain out of the public light.

[18:36] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you.

[18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?

[18:37] Lestat Umarov: None.

[18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on.

[18:38] Aryte Vesperia: As stated in the standing orders forum:

[18:38] Aryte Vesperia: 09SEP09-I: Per the Imperator's authority, Ordo officers and warrant officers [W-1] to [O-3] hereby have authority to lead combat expeditions against CATI without extensive prior approval from the Imperator. As such, officers merely need to provide the Imperator a request and attack numbers. Full details provided to officers on their private forums.

[18:39] Aryte Vesperia: In short, members of the Ordo administration are provided the opportunity to expand and exercise their independent command abilities without extensive oversight. I have given the blessing to operate raids, as frequent as desired, against CATI. This is largely going to be treated as a testing ground, with the opportunity for further groups to be added to the list.

[18:41] Aryte Vesperia: Ordo officers have been provided a short guideline of expectations, of which include: verbal or text verification prior to assault, assurance a defense OIC and standing defense is present before deployment, combat report detailed and filed after the operation.

[18:41] Aryte Vesperia: As such, it is probable that raid intensity will increase as officers begin to operate more autonomously with combat authority.

[18:41] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?

[18:41] Blaze Wiles raises paw

[18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Wiles.

[18:43] Blaze Wiles: just wondering how close to the assault do we have to ask permission to go, would it be possible to say ask for permision to run a morning attack if I asked the day before for example?

[18:44] Aryte Vesperia: Definitely.

[18:44] Vex Naxos loves this idea >.<

[18:44] Jayce Iredell raises hand.

[18:44] Aryte Vesperia: However, keep in mind you will still be accountable for ensuring there is adequate defense (equal to # of attackers), a defense OIC is present, and that victory conditions are met.

[18:44] Blaze Wiles: of course Sir

[18:45] Aryte Vesperia: Failure to do any of which will essentially be a shot to the knee for my willingness to allow this.

[18:45] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Iredell?

[18:45] Zrazor Rozenstrauch raises a paw.

[18:45] Jayce Iredell: Uhm, why was CATI chosen for this experiment?

[18:45] Aryte Vesperia: Several reasons.

[18:45] Jayce Iredell: :D?

[18:45] plops Magic: because cati is ripe for the slautgher XD

[18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Stop speaking out of turn, please.

[18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Foremost, CATI is not political. The probability of fucking up an attack on CATI is farfetched. Secondly, there is an ample supply of targets at CATI. And lastly, the restrictions and expectations at CATI are far less extreme than . . say, Thorium.

[18:47] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Rozenstrauch?

[18:47] Zrazor Rozenstrauch: A couple of questions concerning victory conditions being met.

[18:48] Zrazor Rozenstrauch: 1. Could you define "victory conditions?"

[18:48] Zrazor Rozenstrauch: 2. Will there be any disciplinary consequences in the unlikely event that, due to some catastrophic and humiliating failure by someone or other, these conditions are not met?

[18:50] Aryte Vesperia: The fundamental belief in our operations is that victory conditions equate to ground control, which can be defined as controlling a significant portion of the enemy's given territory. In addition, CATI have house-based conditions, which include two flags. Capturing of these flags, or ground control, would be adequate.

[18:51] Aryte Vesperia: An officer is directly responsible for the success or failure of a combat operation. Failure will be treated as an inability to properly administrate and marshall combat troops. If you can explain any deployment as "catascrophic and humiliating," you may rest assured that responsible officer will presumably be doing paper work until doomsday.

[18:52] DamionStJames Webb raises hand

[18:53] Aryte Vesperia: I am within the belief that any situation can be overcome with a proper application of leadership and forethought. The assault on 39th by Invictus and Antesegnani is a fine demonstration as such: leadership and control of combat forces led the Ordo to victory against a numerically superior, well defended position. So there is really no excuse to fail, provided you do your homework and examine the target.

[18:53] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Webb?

[18:54] DamionStJames Webb: I was going to say on the note of the catostrophic failure of a deployment, I want to appologize to you and to everyone that may remember that botched raid I lead against 2142 about this time last year. That was a bad move.

[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: A bit off topic.

[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: And irrelevant.

[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: But thank you.

[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: I guess.

[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: Any other questions?

[18:55] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent, moving on.

[18:55] Aryte Vesperia: Last topic from me this evening, this time on development.

[18:56] Aryte Vesperia: The Ordo's armory is rapidly expanding and generally being "updated." Compliments to our outstanding builders and developers.

[18:56] Aryte Vesperia: The shock rifle has been released as an additional unlock.

[18:56] Aryte Vesperia: In addition, the M134 will be replaced this weekend with a sculpted minigun created bt Syris Andel. Script work is Ethan Schuman.

[18:57] Aryte Vesperia: Finally-- I can't recall if I mentioned this before, but the creator of our dress uniforms is currently working on sculpted "digi" legs for those of the furry sort.

[18:57] Aryte Vesperia: Beyond that, the next commission I will request of him will be combat great coats/trenchers. Essentially, commissar-like coats.

[18:58] DamionStJames Webb raises hand

[18:58] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?

[18:59] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Webb.

[18:59] DamionStJames Webb: Well would those coats be for officers only

[18:59] DamionStJames Webb: Or would trench lovers like me be able to wear them like the one I already have

[19:00] Aryte Vesperia: They will likely be slated for administration personnel, as a sort of "combat uniform."

[19:01] DamionStJames Webb: No further questions ^>^

[19:01] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent.

[19:01] Aryte Vesperia: Any last questions?

[19:01] Keystone Gray lifts his hand up, the white fabric a beacon of his questions that seek answers from our belovéd Imperator. A pure white of truth and innocence, seeking the grand knowledge of our everlasting leader. Our leader, who also holds this pure silvery white color, also displaying purity and honesty and truth.

[19:01] Keystone Gray: [sorry, had to be dramatic.]

[19:01] Ethan Schuman raises his hand for a statement.

[19:01] Tenaki Kupferberg: tl:dr

[19:01] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Gray.

[19:02] Keystone Gray: M134 --> [New Scripts] --> New Jessie-legal minigun --> Titan Industries?

[19:02] Keystone Gray: And on the topic of development, new SMG in the works possibly for Terminus. Dropship is coming along great.

[19:02] Aryte Vesperia: Possibly, Mr. Gray.

[19:03] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman?

[19:04] Ethan Schuman: Statement: Those of you who have NOT picked up your Five-seveNs should so so immediately after the meeting. I put a lot of effort into those pistols, and they are absolutely brutal in combat. SOP regulations now allow for dual semiauto handguns, so you can make use of the Titan Wield feature in them.

[19:05] Ethan Schuman: Please be sure to read the manual before sending me "OMG HOW I SHOT OFFAND?!?!?!" IMs.

[19:05] Aryte Vesperia: Ha ha.

[19:05] Aryte Vesperia: Any other questions?

[19:06] Aryte Vesperia: All right then, that is all from me.

[19:06] Aryte Vesperia: Any topics to bring up this evening?

[19:06] Vincent Lucerne: .....

[19:06] Keystone Gray: If I hear that gesture again, you're getting laps.

[19:06] plops Magic: umm sry for that i dont know what triggred that gesture

[19:08] Aryte Vesperia: Final call for additional topics?

[19:08] plops Magic raises hand

[19:08] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Magic.

[19:10] plops Magic: i was just wanting to bring up an idea that with the new unlock system to still have some of the unlocks still be based off ranks like for example the jet pack its kinda needed in some areas like tcg i found i wasn't able to get over the walls and was restricted to being raped while takeing pot shots through a window

[19:11] Cyphre Iredell: (TCG restricts jetpack use, unless that changed fairly recently)

[19:11] Aryte Vesperia: Feasibly, you can achhieve an unlock for a jetpack in the same time it'd take you to get E-3.

[19:11] plops Magic: whenever we attacked they allowed it

[19:12] Aryte Vesperia: I see no reason to attach points to ranks.

[19:12] plops Magic: mk

[19:12] plops Magic: no further questions

[19:12] Jayce Iredell raises hand.

[19:12] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Iredell.

[19:14] Jayce Iredell: I would point out, after seeing the criteria that PRFs are based on, its perfectly reasonable to see people pulling close to 100xp a month, if they want it bad enough, unlocks shouldn't be any more difficult than they were before. Only their contributions will help us as a whole.

[19:14] Aryte Vesperia: Exactly, that is the thought behind it. I am glad you agree. T hank you.

[19:14] Aryte Vesperia: Any final topics before we move on to promotions?

[19:16] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent.

[19:16] Aryte Vesperia: On to promotions this week.

[19:17] Aryte Vesperia: Fairly short list this week. Fine with me, still working on the promotion requirement system and all that. Remember to get recommendations in by 3:00 every Saturday.

[19:17] Aryte Vesperia: Hold comments and questions until end, as I have closing comments to make

[19:18] Aryte Vesperia: To begin, PRFs completed this week. If you do not see your name here, and you had a PRF, be sure to contact your command officer ASAP.

[19:18] Aryte Vesperia: Anlysia Gregorie, C hase Quinnel, Czyrke Essel, Endra Ashbourne, Foxers Fhang, Furry Thor, Jayce Iredell, Kastrenzo Benelli.

[19:18] Aryte Vesperia: (Thank you all for participating.)

[19:18] Aryte Vesperia: And on to the promotions list here.

[19:18] Aryte Vesperia: Crash Silverfall - [Combat Prowess Mk2]

[19:19] Aryte Vesperia: Detox Exonar - [Combat Prowess]

[19:19] Aryte Vesperia: Endra Ashbourne - [E-2]

[19:19] Aryte Vesperia: Kastrenzo Benelli - [E-2]

[19:19] Aryte Vesperia: Lestat Umarov - [Corona Obsidionalis]

[19:20] Aryte Vesperia: Sera Otoro - [Recruitment]

[19:20] Aryte Vesperia: Thatguy Andel - [Combat Prowess]; [Comrade Support]

[19:20] Aryte Vesperia: Vex Naxos - [Combat Prowess MK2]

[19:20] Aryte Vesperia: Williamca Zenokva - [Corona Obsidionalis]; [Combat Prowess Mk2]

[19:20] Aryte Vesperia: Zero Itamae - [W-1]

[19:21] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Itamae, congratulations especially. As Schola commandant, I look forward to seeing your involvement and improvements to the division.

[19:22] Aryte Vesperia: In closing. We will be heading out on deployment here in about fifteen minutes. Stick on map if you want blood and mayhem. On account of the fact I am extremely pressed for time, please withhold anything not "super omg pressing" until I return later this evening. Directly after combat, I have to log off and write a paper.

[19:22] Aryte Vesperia: Merits and such will be handed out directly after this meeting.

[19:22] Aryte Vesperia: I will likely send a team out, go write my paper, come back and send another.

[19:23] Aryte Vesperia: Regardless, thank you all for a good meeting (47 on map-- yay, our numbers are picking up again, fuck you school year).

[19:23] Aryte Vesperia: Dismissed and good night.

[19:23] Aryte Vesperia clasps his fist to his chest, presenting a salute.
