Anlysia Gregoire

Munitorium Meeting 28FEB10

Recommended Posts

[16:34] Anlysia Gregoire: Okay so like. WELCOME. To the meeting. Not too many people here but that's cool because I don't want to be here because the Admin meeting was too damn long. As anyone else who was there can attest.

[16:35] Anlysia Gregoire: This'll be kind of short because I just want to overview where things are and talk about new-things that are in the pipe.

[16:36] Anlysia Gregoire: Insidiae stuff! I'll talk about that first because Lestat is here and getting antsy.

[16:36] Anlysia Gregoire: The HUD is done and waiting on Tsume. Because Tsume was like "Release it!" and Aryte was like "Give me one to perm!" and Tsume was like "Okay but I'm working on a project so right away!" and that was like four days ago.

[16:37] Anlysia Gregoire: Crossbow! Model's almost-done. Zrazor wants a tweak or two to it, but it'll be released and done later. Sera's done scripting to my knowledge, minus the animations which...Corsi I think is done 2/3 of. Since I have them in my hands. And the reload is in-progress.

[16:38] Anlysia Gregoire: Corsi can correct me if I'm wrong.

[16:38] Corsi Mousehold: Not wrong. Still working on it. I was hoping for a sound file to match to it but I have none.

[16:39] Anlysia Gregoire: Sounds hum. I'll ask Sera when I see 'er. Which'll be tomorrow likely.

[16:39] Anlysia Gregoire writes a note.

[16:39] Corsi Mousehold: That'll work!

[16:39] Anlysia Gregoire: If need be we'll steal HL2 sounds until Tsume rages and makes better ones. I find this an acceptable plan.

[16:40] Corsi Mousehold: Not to be a dick but the HL2 sound is not an auto crossbow.

[16:41] Anlysia Gregoire: Nope it's not. Hence it being temp.

[16:41] Anlysia Gregoire: Want to get stuff into Zrazor's hands for now.

[16:41] Anlysia Gregoire: If sounds are the whole issue we can wait on that.

[16:41] Anlysia Gregoire: Uhm...wristblade. What's the word on a design, Scarlet? Or are you doing the uniform first?

[16:42] Scarlet Flaks: Truthfully, I was never even informed that I was doing the wristblade. It's just been assumed that I am, because I'm working on the uniform.

[16:42] Scarlet Flaks: So, I've yet to even add that to my ever growing list of things to work on.

[16:43] Anlysia Gregoire: Hum.

[16:43] Anlysia Gregoire: Well, I'll see what I can do to wangle someone else onto it, if you want.

[16:43] Scarlet Flaks: I do however have some designs that I recieved from Tiridates a little while ago, Not sure if that's the current design plan but, That's about as much as I know on that project.

[16:45] Anlysia Gregoire: Okay. Well, what's the word on the uniform then? Ignore the blade for now.

[16:45] Scarlet Flaks: As far as the actual Uniforms go.. I'm personally a little unsatisfied with the vest, so I will likely attempt to remedy this my remaking most of the upper portion of the vest.. Shoulder-pad things and knee-pads are being worked on..

[16:45] Scarlet Flaks: Boots.. I need to finish up on.

[16:46] Anlysia Gregoire: They were nice last time I saw them, a while ago. Unless those ended up being different boots.

[16:46] Scarlet Flaks: Well, the entire uniform I was sent originally was scrapped or something, and was replaced with something else..

[16:47] Scarlet Flaks: So, those boots you saw have been scrapped and won't see the light of day ever again..

[16:47] Anlysia Gregoire: Ahso.

[16:47] Lestat Umarov: I think maza made a logo modelled off tiris concept art

[16:47] Anlysia Gregoire: Feel free to stab Zrazor if need be.

[16:48] Anlysia Gregoire: Int'resting.

[16:49] Anlysia Gregoire: Anyway...

[16:50] Anlysia Gregoire: After we finally get Insidiae out the door way past schedule, we can talk backpacks. :P Which I don't have much to say about, today. You've heard what I have in mind for them umpteen times already. I think the Pilum one is already in the works. I'll have to ask Niiya. I know he's working on the Pilum rescript off and on between doing that uzi.

[16:51] Lestat Umarov: The uzi's done I think :o

[16:51] Anlysia Gregoire: I think it's pretty much done, yeah.

[16:51] Lestat Umarov: I took it on a raid last night

[16:51] Anlysia Gregoire: (Not an Uzi for us. For Rapture.)

[16:51] Lestat Umarov: Works awesome

[16:51] Lestat Umarov: Actually got a melee kill with it too

[16:52] Anlysia Gregoire: The Armory cleanup will be...when I get time to talk to Aryte at length, and probably Akurei too. We need new Armory lockers and either he has to volunteer to make like 20+ textures, or I get the template from him and do it myself.

[16:53] Lestat Umarov: The lockers are a bit dated

[16:53] Lestat Umarov: in terms of design

[16:53] MikeMurdock McMillan: very true

[16:53] Anlysia Gregoire: I've been working on new designs for them off and on but...I'm not a builder. So if anyone wants a project, there you go. Design a new locker.

[16:54] Anlysia Gregoire: Submit it to me and Aryte and I can decide.

[16:54] MikeMurdock McMillan: ahh

[16:55] Anlysia Gregoire: The new Astra SMG is also in-line. I may as well talk about this openly now.

[16:55] Anlysia Gregoire: As far as my knowledge goes, we have Hugo Reitveldt making us a new gun. I've requested an IWI MTAR-21 Micro-Tavor. Hopefully that's what we get

[16:56] Anlysia Gregoire: Generally entirely for the purpose of making all the scripters who laid claim on this project mad, I took it and gave it to someone outside the usual pool. Syl Kiranov. Well, more I coerced/convinced her into doing it.

[16:56] Anlysia Gregoire: BUT...not entirely to make people mad. :P This way both the basic Astra and Terra firearms will match scriptwise, so there should be none of the functional difference people gripe about between the SCAR-L and the MP5k right now. Consistency, etc.

[16:57] Anlysia Gregoire: (I know I'm going to hear about this in IMs so bad...)

The rest redacted because it devolved into a shouting match that didn't go anywhere.

To sum: I'm completely obstinant, I think everyone else is an idiot, everyone thinks I'm wrong, we didn't make any headway anywhere.

Sorry I wasn't at the meeting, I was taken out to dinner by my family for my birthday.

Some notes:

HUD Was waiting for Aryte to have time when I was online for me to hand him the perm stuff. He has it and from the sounds of things Insidiae now does. FireFluff however raised concerns that the group Auth allows for it to be attached under all groups, which means if someone gets the boot from the squad they could still use it. Debates are now between resrticting group Auth or popping in a Mercury Auth.

Tanks are done (Except the Ira, the Medium MBT), however field reports are saying that the cannons/rockets don't fire right away in heavy lag. With input/suggestions from Syl i worked out a beta for a fix in the Ultor. I cant combat test it because of my current computer situation, but it has been given to current Ultor testers (AKA Ruin). Logic dictates that there is no reason what so ever that this should not fix/improve performance... but this is Second Life after all. Logic means jack shit.

Wristblade is getting all sorts of feedback. Some people say they found bugs, others are saying there are no bugs and STFU and issue it already, ect. I'm sure there are bugs, as I haven't done something like this together before. Its a matter of pinpointing the problems and working out a solution. Vague bug reports don't help unfortunately.

MTAR-21 is awesome if done by Syl, as long as I can be all Jew about it and make sure it sounds/fires/looks like the real thing (:3). Last MTAR-21 that was affiliated with Ordo was larger than a full sized TAR-21, and sounded like a whiny... thing. ._.

Latest project I was given was scripting the re-build of the SITES M4 Spectre SMG that Invictus uses. I took this as a chance to re-script it from the ground up using all my new scripting techniques to make it more efficient and deadly. It is currently in the hands of Keller and Ron for testing, though Keller just handed me a model update a few hours ago. So far, no bugs have been found, and everything is happy face.
