Hi I'm Vilk, I make stuff transform. I spend most of my free time being frustrated at how inefficiently I use the rest of my free time. I build schedules I don't keep, try to build things I don't have the skill or time to complete and in general get in over my head. Maybe I'm bipolar or something. But self-diagnosing is so 2008~. I'm at the point where I need to start asking for help, and just build the parts I'm good at building.

I'm a Jack-of-all-Trades. Robo Universalis. I dabble a little in everything. I find it's easier to 'understand' how something works than it is to actually repeat the action or build the thing itself. I am quite competent in scripting, though I'm always learning new tricks and standard-practices and such. I can fake some decent sculpts. I understand textures 'in theory' at least, though I can run circles in Photoshop. Spent two years as a graphic designer. So I SHOULD know how to texture. I can do really... simple animations. Arm movements and such. Nothing as fluid as motion-capture walk animations or anything. Just stiff a-to-b transitions. Good thing I'm a robot? Good thing I'm a robot. Also I've got deformations figured out, which I guess is a mystery to some people? I guess.

I like shotguns. I've got decent aim, I just have poor situational awareness. So some n00b-cannon helps level me out. Though I've taken to slug-shot if I'm at sim-range sniping at someone. I frequently take the role of medic and have built complicated scanner HUDs and Emerald Shortcut keys to assist with this. In most situations I know you're dead before you reach the hub. This lets me sit back, pick off people at range, bring people back into the fight, and generally use my strengths while not letting the enemy exploit my weaknesses.

Also shotguns are just neat. As are 40mm shells. They're multi-purpose. You've got buckshot rounds, you've got slug shot, you've even got Frag-12. There are even 12-Gauge flares. I like anything that's versatile or modular, or that changes it's shape to meet new functions. I love Rubik's Cubes.

I have a thing for observing proper scale. It bothers me that e'ryone in SL is like eight feet tall. Which also means I take issue with just 'scaling up' a weapon to meet my size. I'd rather find something existing, which is already large, and use it at-size. So I'm building a 40mm China Lake Grenade Launcher that I can use as a handgun, with buckshot-rounds. And I should look into an Anti-Materiel Rifle of some kind. I'm using the [TI] Striker-12 right now, which I wish I could mod into single-arm anims and make it work with my transformations. I'm pretty much going to have to custom-build every weapon I use if I want it to work properly between forms...

...also I tend to write out far more information than is at all necessary. And I'm a bit voice-shy. Which, given the former, is probably a godsend. >_>

...pew pew

What this is a lie :( We were in Schola together.

You're old. >:o

Upon review of my programming, I have discovered the discrepancy that has caused this miscalculation. An excerpt of the code is below:

integer APPROPRIATE_BEHAVIOR = rand(1,5);

if(TRUE)
{
run_behavior(silliness);
}
else
{
run_behavior(brevity);
}

I discussed this with Mercury, who advised the following correction. The above excerpt has been changed to the following:

DESTROY ALL HUMANS
