Hello everyone, We're happy to finally announce today that Early Game Access begins December 13th, 2011. This means that everyone who has pre-ordered Star Wars: The Old Republic and redeemed their pre-order code will have up to seven days to play the game early. As before, when your Early Game Access begins will be determined based on when you redeemed your pre-order code. You will be emailed on the day you are being admitted to Early Game Access to confirm you can now access the game. Early Game Access was extended to seven days to allow us to gradually ramp up the number of people in the game over a longer period. This allows us to ensure maximum stability and a good population across servers. It also allows us to have more flexibility on exactly how many people we admit per day. With that said, we're still planning on allowing a large number of people into Early Game Access on a daily basis. In our final Beta Testing Weekends, we had hundreds of thousands of players on the game servers - and we have additional server capacity for launch. However, we still need to remain flexible during Early Game Access, and this led to the decision to notify people on the day that their Early Game Access begins. We know many of you expected and wanted advance notice on Early Game Access, but we made this decision to ensure that we could remain flexible and react to unforseen issues during launch. Our number one priority has always been a smooth launch, so this decision was a necessity. The good news is that effectively everyone is being given two 'extra bonus' days as the EGA program is now up to seven days long. The bad news is unfortunately we cannot let people know on an individual basis when they will gain access until we are ready. We do understand that you are concerned about when you will receive the email. To save your F5 keys, as well as being notified by email, you will also be able to check the Launcher for Star Wars: The Old Republic. When you have been granted Early Game Access, your Play button will be enabled. (You will need to restart the Launcher on occasion if you're still grey.) Finally, you will be able to login to your account page here on SWTOR.com and check your status. We absolutely understand (and appreciate!) everyone's eagerness to play, but this plan will ensure that we don't fall at the final hurdle - bringing people into the game at launch. We hope you'll bear with us as we gradually grant Early Game Access to everyone who pre-ordered. -------------------------------------------------- Our sales and marketing teams are working closely with retailers in the US and Europe to ensure that copies of Star Wars: The Old Republic will be delivered in time for launch day. In Europe, game copies will be available at retail starting on December 15, 2011. For those of you in the USA and Canada, game copies will be available at retail starting on December 20, 2011. For those of you who pre-ordered digital editions of the game from Origin.com, you will be emailed your Game Codes starting December 16, 2011. As soon as you receive your Game Code (AKA 'product registration code'), be sure to enter it on your account under Code Redemption, because as soon as you enter the code you will receive your digital entitlements in-game (i.e. digital items included with the game edition purchased). Remember, your billing cycle will not start until official game launch, on December 20, 2011 at 12:01am EST. There will be no ‘grace period’ post launch in which those who are in Early Game Access will be able to continue to play the game. In order to continue playing past the Early Game Access period, you will need to enter a valid launch game code and payment method. Please read our FAQ for more information. We apologize for any previous messaging which may have led you to believe otherwise.

Anyone know something better than google translate, that is a little more accurate. This morning we had a lonewolf come in that knew maybe upwards of 20 words of english and the rest japanese and was incredibly hard to comm with him as you can see , he tried to enter armed many times and even let off a few rounds which lead intot he following conversation---> [05:39] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): 停止または撃たれる ---> (Stop or be shot) [05:40] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): あなたが入力する許可を求める必要があります --> (You must seek permission to enter your) [05:40] SurfnTurf Paule: どうすれば? ---> (How do I?) [05:41] SurfnTurf Paule: どうすれば入れる? ---< (How do I put?) [05:41] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): オオカミを尋ねる ---> (Asked the wolf) [05:41] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): can i enter ? [05:41] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): それを言う ---> (Say it ) [05:41] SurfnTurf Paule: can i enter ? [05:42] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): wolfbiteと呼ばれる人を求める ---> (ask people called wolfbite) [05:43] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): 申し訳ありません悪い日本人、私はトランスレータを使用する必要があります ---> (Japanese bad Sorry, I need to use a translator) [05:43] SurfnTurf Paule: はい ---> (Yes) [05:44] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): あなたの武器にしてください削除 ---> (Please remove your weapon and then) [05:44] SurfnTurf Paule: I would like to go into inside. [05:45] SurfnTurf Paule: It does not have arms. ((he still had his weapon attached)) [05:46] SurfnTurf Paule: Since it is a good building, I would like to see inside. [05:46] Rykiana Ferina: あなたの訪問を拒否されました ---> (Your visit is denied ) [05:46] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): コマンドによる --- > (By command) [05:46] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): ソーリー ---> (sorry) [05:47] SurfnTurf Paule: It is not bad. [05:47] SurfnTurf Paule: 何故?---> (Why?) [05:48] SurfnTurf Paule: Coward [05:48] Ryk (rykiana.ferina): 我々はあなたと通信するために苦労するので、それはです -----> (As we struggle to communicate with you, it is) [05:48] SurfnTurf Paule: 話さなくて良い ---> (I ever speaking ) Then he attacked, wasnt sure if it was something in the translations or how long it was taking to translate, but yeah....anyone know of a better more accurate one than google translate ?

Earl access E-Mails are starting to be sent out Early Game Access* for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ is only a few days away! Starting December 13, 2011, The Old Republic will begin emailing invitations to start your Early Game Access. Invitations will be sent throughout the Early Game Access period offering rolling access to the game in the order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code, so be sure to check your email inbox! To ensure that players can get into the game as quickly as possible when their Early Game Access begins, we are now allowing everyone who has redeemed a Pre-Order Code at our Code Redemption Center to pre-load the game to their computer. In order to download the game client before Early Game Access begins, you need have already logged into your account and redeemed your Pre-Order Code. Once you have done this, you can download the game client by clicking on “My Account” in the upper-right of the window and then click “Pre-Order.” On your Pre-Order page, click the large button that says “Download Game Client” to begin download of the game! If you participated in our recent Beta Testing Weekend between November 25th and 28th and still have the game client installed, you will be able to patch this client instead of re-installing by simply launching your client, logging in and allowing the download to complete. If you did not participate in the November 25th – 28th Beta Weekend, first uninstall the Game Testing Client and then re-install to ensure your game client will function correctly during Early Game Access. Learn more about how to get ready for Early Game Access! If you haven’t pre-ordered Star Wars: The Old Republic yet, you still have time. Visit our Pre-Order Page, secure your copy of the game and redeem your Pre-Order Code at the Code Redemption Center to pre-load the client and qualify for Early Game Access. If you have any issues installing or patching the game client for The Old Republic, check visit theCustomer Service Support section for information and assistance. *Customers who redeem their Pre-Order Code at the Code Redemption Center prior to launch will be able to pre-load the Star Wars: The Old Republic Game Client before the official Game launch. Pre-loading the Game does not grant you access to the Game. Pre-Ordering the Game only allows you access to the Early Game Access period and your Color Crystal. Early Game Access may be up to 7 days. The length of your Early Game Access depends on the date and order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code. In order to continue playing the Game after the Early Game Access period, you must redeem your official Game Product Registration Code at the Code Redemption Center.

A quite pencil drawing I did when I had an hour free earlier. Not as good as I would of liked because the features in the face and hands are very basic and quickly scrawled on the paper. Also had to darken the image in illustrator to bring out the shading because I didnt do that properly either >.< and that has the result of showing all the pencil dust smudges as well *sigh* This one quickly became a pain but I decided to just leave alone in case I did something to mess it up Dont even try it

Currently Working On I decided to be a little vain as I get back into practice on drawing techniques ect as I have to admit its been a while and I need to get into the hang of it again. I did all the rough sketching to get my angles, view line, folds in clothing, guide line for text height and what not, and now I am in the process of getting knee high in eraser dust as i get rid of the rough sketching and going back over with clearer more defined lines. Still allot of detail to go back into this, shading, shadows, facial features, hair, Ordo logo and some other stuff.....not sure if I will draw in a background or not as I am conflicted as to if I should do the curia office, astra hangar or an over view of titan *shrugs* guess that's something for later, and once it is finally done I can scan it in and clean it up in a mix of photo shop and Illustrator to get rid of all the pencil dust smudges Etc. But here is the image as it currently stands, and I have to admit, drawing formal's with the NCO coat....has been a bitch but I finally managed to get something that I think is smooth. RYK

Oh so you guessed it was Bastilla and Revan......Points to you then bro :P
-
considering its a test build it will be best too, as the R.C platform will have a ton of bug fixes and what not, so its best to do so in case something screws up
-
Just straight scanned with the default setting which happened to be 1200 DPI. It gets moody if i try to change them >.<
-
pretty much, just very cheap pencil, some low grade A4 paper, and a 5 year old scanner......i was suprised o.O

Well it's official, they have now closed Testing.......guess its time to un-install those test clients .>.<

Well, as some people know I moved from a small town down on the south east coast of England into a big northern city, and Recently I finally got around to sorting through the last box of what I assumed was Junk. Much to my surprise I found one of my old folders that had a bunch of drawing's inside...the exact same drawings I thought destroyed when the roof fell in due to flooding in an old apartment of mine. So happy to find them I figured I would take the chance to digitise them, so if anything happened to the originals I would still have them backed up somewhere. So im quite happily scanning away at 1200 DPI so they would be of a decent resolution, but it wasn't until afterwards I got a huge shock at just how detailed these were. Let me explain..... Most straight scanned images save at a resolution anywehre between 380x 400 or 750 x 800, these images were coming through at near 13000 x 9000.......and here is a little thing to help you comprehend that...... Each square is 300 x 300 resolution, and it starts with one of my drawings at straight scanning resolution at 1200 DPI, then resized by 1/2, the 3rd by 1/2 again and same for the 4th, and just to help you out I put their resolution on there at the time they were reduced. So yeah even reduced by 1/2 each time, by the 3rd time the resolution is still huge at 1295 x 1023, and even still is amazingly detailed, but i think the basis of the shock was the detail in the 10367 x 8184 image, its that good you see the fibres in the paper.........and whats more hard to believe....this was a cheap, shop bought five year old printer / scanner combo. I guess I have to take back every bad thing I ever said about Epson >.< But with all this, and with all the work shrinking the resolution, sticking in a signature and name of the image while taking out my scribbled lettering with pencil, and trying to keep the best detail possible, I finally managed to get them all done, and i thought I might share them with you...hence the name of the thread, and as i get more and more back into drawing in RL and not digitally through photo shop, I will post them here for everyone to giggle and snicker at. So without further stalling for time....... Here they are: (NOTE: the first three images have been drastically reduced...the rest however...well when click on them, see what happens when you zoom in :P) Valentine SONIC SONIC & SHADOW PAIN MISATO LOVERS ASHOKA AYANAMI ANGEL
