  1. I was thinking Professor Xavier or the actions that one particular furry did at a con (enough to get him banned from said con forever). But okay...Dalek works too I guess.
  2. Throwing my lil bit in. Super strength, speed, and agility. Weakness, the ankle and bodies of water (Lakes, ponds, streams, rivers, oceans, seas, et cetera. Not puddles or buckets of water, must be natural bodies.) 'Cause, ya know, all powers must have weaknesses, and those two seem interesting to me. Ankle seems easy to hit but if thought about, can be very challenging for a person with speed and agility. Water is more terrifying since there is so much of it. Super speed doesn't mean super brakes. Another weakness, stairs.
  3. Well, it's only a lighthearted joke. To be fair, the Ukraine was a founding country of the USSR, which can get confusing as their specific 'republic' was know as...wait for it...the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Back to the main topic. The game is looking great for what it is currently.
  4. In Soviet Russia, Ukrainians are Russians too!
  5. Smith & Wesson 1911 with Mecgar mags, full length guide rod, scalloped ejection port?, and 'speed bump' grip safety. Looks good man. Not a fan of Hex grip screws, I have them on my Kimber, need to get some flatheads sometime.
  6. From Springfield Armory GI 1911s Left side: http://www.opticspla...and-pi5161.html Right side: http://www.opticspla...and-pi5162.html I dunno why they don't sell them together though. From Kimber: Army: http://store.kimbera...71/Default.aspx Navy: http://store.kimbera...73/Default.aspx Marine Corps: http://store.kimbera...70/Default.aspx Air Force: http://store.kimbera.../2/Default.aspx Plain Double Diamond: http://store.kimbera.../2/Default.aspx In all honesty, the original platform for the GI is brown plastic. And here is a site that sells vintage GI issue 1911 grips. http://www.simpsonlt...3486a95723a4f41 For 15 bucks a pair too. (Yeah, I know the Auto Ordinance has brown plastic and the last link is pretty much the same thing. But those are still a consideration as they hold some historical value to them. At least to me.)
  7. Seriously, wait for ArmA III to come out, Ragdoll physics, volumetric clouds, underwater environments, disguises, weapons customization. The improvements are astoundingly nice.
  8. Looking at the site you provided, and the caliber you seem to favor. This looks promising, but you sacrifice a few rounds (4 to be specific) http://www.budsgunsh...uble Action Pi/ It's lighter and an all metal pistol. A lil smaller too. If you could slide on roughly 30 dollars on your base price, I could suggest this http://www.budsgunsh...B .45acp Black/ It's a full size, but also .45ACP. Weights more, 10+1. Hi-Power and 1911s are WELL known to be great concealed carry pistols, and the CZ-75 platform pistols are just about the best of both worlds. An even cheaper route is to get one of the EAA CZ-75 platform pistols, they have polymer and steel. Some of the polymers are bellow. In .45ACP: http://www.budsgunsh.../Polymer Frame/ In .40S&W: http://www.budsgunsh.../Polymer Frame/ and the beefy 10mm: http://www.budsgunsh... Grip/Blue Fin/ As you might know, the .40S&W was developed directly from the 10mm with assistance from the FBI. 10mm has a harder kick to it as it has a slightly longer case, and is seen by many as superior to both the .45 and the .40.
  9. Congrats Tsume, been a long time since an Imperators Star has been awarded.
  10. I didn't explain it in the TS but I am a bit of a retro-old school guy. And thus, I hope to eventually own one of these. http://www.triumphmotorcycles.com/motorcycles/range/classics/scrambler/2012/2012-scrambler-overview £7,099 according to the UK site, $8,799 for the US market.
  11. The title might not click with some of you. I'm never good with such, but bear with me, at least on that. We normally shy away from the issues of politics and religion et cetera, because they cause unnecessary drama. I also know that Memorial day has passed in the US. But take a moment and contemplate the meaning of this image, please. To the layman, a native is paying their respects to a fallen soldier. It doesn't matter what branch, they are among those still on patrol. What I think really matters is that this native, that could honor that foreigner that gave his life in any way he wished to, chose to honor them with a proper salute. That touches me. And I have a feeling that it touches a lot of members on this forum in one way or another. While the reasons and justifications for our actions are contested and protested by private and public eye, sometimes proven to be bunk, there is no denying that there is good being done that should be credited more to the people that deserve it. Heroic actions do not have a prerequisite for a service member to perish or be wounded. Take what you will from this. I'm currently lost for words at this moment.
  12. The jaw open and the angle makes it look like he's gawking at her. (I bit my tongue hard at what I could have said. It's still bleeding pretty bad.)
  13. He means the collection of those things in one place, fighting on one game simulated reality.
  14. YES! I want it. I knew it looked awesome in the trailers, but now I really want it. Seems to have that Sam Fisher predatorily feel to it in the combat. And I love how the empty hammer fall is animated upon by the AI. Very nicely done, and I want it.
  15. I still have yet to finish the Story mode of the first one...Ffff. All I do have to say about the trailer: "You'd best fear the top Ffffin' tier."
  16. I see the google glass project as a peek into the future, it won't be what the future holds for us, but we can expect something that is more utilitarian, something that will serve a purpose better than that of a cellular phone in some ways, but not all. And once the media industry catches on, those that have them will be bombarded with advertisements as they glance at billboards, and get constant recommendations about establishments as they walk by. Sure, it'll be neat to see a video about an up coming movie by looking at a billboard with just the website and the screen date, but it would get old really quick. Though, emergency messages could be more sophisticated with video and audio with that technology.
  17. GOOGLE, it is your friend Rein, even if it is a heretic at times. http://www.adepticon.org/
  18. Almost a zombie thread, I will be taking up this task. I can load the typefaces that Mr. Giugiaro used, as well as some that I have picked up. My only charge is for the upload which is, of course, 10$L.
  19. 96.) a.)This number is not as funny as 69. But it tries.

  21. I love how many people have been saying "meeting today at 5SLT guize." I wonder if there is a paradox where 2 is being seen as 1 for some people.
  22. 59: The RP community, no matter what state it is in, thinks it is the best thing that ever happened to SL 60: 95% of new SLRPers think they are the best RPers on the grid, evn wen dey txt lik dis an nver eus punkshooashun. 61: The rest of the RP community KNOWS they are the best RPers on the grid...arguing with them to the contrary is like staring down a speeding semi truck.
