As mentioned in last week's meeting (http://www.ordoimperialis.com/ordo/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=26&thread_id=1661): As plans to redevelop Titan Industries gather steam, it has been decided to allow for donations to begin for those within the Ordo so interested. If you wish to donate, there are two methods: 1. Paypal, at [email protected] (donate button to the left of the screen). 2. Linden donation, to Ruin Nefarious (not Aryte)! All donations will go directly toward upgrading Chronus to a Class-5 region space. As per Linden Lab's agreement, to upgrade Chronus while it still exists will cost a grand total of $750 USD ($1000USD normal sim price - $250USD for existing sim = $750). The original plan was to drop Chronus and reopen after Titan Industries has reached a more functional level to support the $300USD upkeep fee generated by a class 5 region. However, provided necessary funds are allocated, plans will be accelerated to upgrade Chronus at its discounted price. Failing that, any funds will still go directly to Chronus. Please understand donations are not necessary nor expected-- this is an opportunity for those interested in contributing in this manner. Titan as a region is not affected by this drive, nor does it need any assistance. Titan, our primary sim, is secure financially at this time. Donations will be listed within this thread as they come in, in order to keep a running track of any acquired assets. Linden donations will take a short while longer to be recorded, but will be denoted in a specific manner in order to make it apparent. If you do not see your donation listed here (amount only, name will be anonymous), contact Aryte Vesperia to ensure he didn't squander it for coffee. Primary goal: $750 (upgrade) Secondary goal: $300 (one month upkeep extra) Post scriptum, if you donate outside of your means, I will beat you. Please don't hurt your finances for the reason of upgrading a sim. Looking at you, Mizar. Donations: 1. $1USD (GUNAU) 2. $1USD (INTUS) 3. $200USD 4. $200USD 5. $20USD (CANADIAN FUNDS)

Several key points that need to be mentioned here. Foremost, 'fighting the powers' that be of the organization you wish to enlist within seems a tad bit out of line. Although your desire to partake is noted, the boundaries and rules by which we live are something you'd be held to upon joining. By what should we expect you do, if we bent the rules /for/ you? Provided you ascertain a vouch-in from an existing member, the age requirement can be waived. You will still be, however, held accountable for any general concern beyond age. In short, rules are sacrosanct.

I'll give this a look when I get a moment.

EU whom are possible problems are banned. The rest are ok.

Until further notice, under no circumstance are Ordo personnel to defend or assist the Echelon Union spare with explicit approval from the Office of the Impeator. Any visitation of EU territory in official Ordo capacity (in attire and wielding any of our gear) is also prohibited. This decision is on reason of EU HC refusing to remove known copybotters whom have purposely targeted Ordo material, such as the individual known as Dezno Parx.

As mentioned in the weekly meeting on January 3rd, Schola will be undergoing changes. Here is your opportunity to recommend anything you felt needs "changed" or anything you'd of liked to see in Schola. All suggestions (serious ones) are fair game! Go for it.

Correct Mikael. The diplomacy is still very rough at the moment.

Consider AN neutral until further notice. Keep an eye on 'em though.

I've been idly working on a revised history section to the handbook, making it a bit more story-like while maintaining the central point. Likewise, a few matters were clarified, and, the summary destruction of AI was mentioned.

Omg, hahaha.

Steff Flintoff has been assigned back to active duty as an O-2 Centurion, Terra. She is as old as they come and has been with the group for eons. Steff will be primarily a tactician/strategist, while providing much needed command authority in the evenings. She is directly assigned to the Legates, and is not included in any of the Cohors. In short, a universal Terra officer to help out in the hours where most of us are sleeping. :D

I've not seen the Ordo group chat misused since .. like 2006.

As the situation was rather public, I felt it necessary to point it out as to why Aaron was summarily ejected this afternoon. At about noon, Aaron messaged the entire Ordo group with the following: [11:56] Aaron Kojishi: This gun sucks... [11:56] Ruin Nefarious: ? [11:56] Aaron Kojishi: the new sidearm... After being ejected, the question was raised: "for their opinion?" No, not for their opinion. Note the tons of folks who state unpopular opinions on the forums daily. They were ejected for messaging the entire Ordo group with an inflammatory comment, without any real intention other than to incite a problem by being rude. If you feel something "sucks," that's great. You won't like everything. But that isn't your cue to message the whole group and bash someone's hard work. Especially without damn good reason. [11:58] Aaron Kojishi: First off, theres no flash, theres no kickback animations, no shells, I havent seen any options on it, and it just seems dull for any matter, Im sticking to my usp =/ Efficiency = suck?

[11:28] Data Linden: Sorry about that, you can blame it all on me ! [11:28] Aryte Vesperia laughs! [11:28] Aryte Vesperia: No problem!

I've been pretty guilty of it myself, but it is important to maintain standards when handling OIC. Officers, please, please remember the importance of being an active command presence. If you must leave Titan, announce it. Let folks know, and pass command. Failing presence of another officer, give it to a senior NCO. It may take you a couple minutes, but it spares a lot of confusion for the group. Without an OIC on watch, orders are left unanswered. If someone is attacking, the OIC is the fella' who should be calling who's who, who goes where, what's to be shot. For a refresher, from our regs:

There has been some reluctance as of late to engage approaching, potential hostiles. A few things we need to keep in mind: foremost, the wall is a secure point. The moment someone crosses behind it without explicit authorization, they are free game. Don't abuse this standard, but, enforce it. For example, if a hapless civilian wanders behind the wall . . judgment call: danger or no danger? Shoot first, ask questions later if needs be. Every entrance to the sim must be heeded, regardless of what Mercury says. Mercury is not always up to date-- it takes maintenance. If someone enters, check their profile and monitor them until intentions are gauged. Communication is important. Be sure to note if you've contacted someone: speaking to them and assessing the situation is important in every event. Always TP allies, and always monitor hostiles. If a target breaches the wall, we've made an error! There is room to apologize if you blow away a hapless civilian, there is not room to repair the embarrassment of being blown away by a not hapless hostile.

This is your only warning. For the whole group. It has become too relaxed with playing around and shooting eachother. Firing on someone in the Ordo, under any circumstance, purposely, will result in an immediate demotion to E-1. I don't care who you are, what your position is, what your rank is, or how long you've been with the Ordo. One purposeful team kill and you're done. Thanks.

The Ordo Imperialis thrives on the benevolence of its members. Through progressive participation, the strength of our organization grows. Many of our advancements have been the fruit of volunteering, rather than hardline dictation from my person. This is an ideal circumstance. Not only does it exhibit the will of the member
