I think you misunderstood who was confronting who. The senior NCO/NCOIC was the one doing the confronting. Also, as far as providing specific names and events, I can do so, just didn't see a need to publicly point fingers on the forums.

I remember rather clearly when I went through Schola that my instructor stressed to speak up with ideas, or if you see something wrong. It didn't matter what rank you are, every idea, whether from a fresh out of Schola E1 or the Imperator himself, is worth considering. It's how we grow and change as a group. Lately, however, I've noticed people shifting away from this fundamental concept. Just today, on Ventrilo, I heard someone mention how they were IMed about a policy change that has come into effect recently, and they didn't know who it was. "I bet it was just some Numerii," the person said. Seriously guys? Policy is policy, whether a Numerii is pointing it out to you or not. (In this particular case, it wasn't a Numerii, it was a senior NCO and the NCOIC at the time.) I've also been receiving a lot of flak lately when trying to enforce other policies, even when standing in front of the person and IMing them. I IMed someone a few weeks back, I don't remember what it was about at the time, and the first thing they responded with was, "Oh, what rank are you again?" C'mon, guys, we're supposed to be better than that.

Ok, so. Basically, what happened is this. A couple months back, I had a subscription fee for this account no go through on my card, and they froze the account til I paid it. On Monday, every single charge made to my account was denied for some reason. Bank doesn't know why. Had to go through and re-charge my insurance, burned through all the cash on hand I had in order to get some groceries, etc etc. It was a pain. Anyway, the subscription fee was one of the things that they tried to charge on Monday, and it still hasn't been charged. But my account's unfrozen now for some reason? Go figure.

So after working all weekend, I go to log on yesterday and it won't log me in. After some looking into it, turns out my account is on hold. Hoping to get it resolved soon, but I'll have to figure something out for in the meantime.

I'm not one for long speeches and such, but I figured I'd at least say a few things. With my RL requiring more and more of my time and energy due to recent and soon to occur promotions at work, planning for my wedding, and other details, I just haven't had the energy to devote as much of myself to Ordo as I feel is necessary/proper/whatever. That, coupled with my shift in focus while on SL from killkillkill to scriptscriptscript, and my desire to get back into some roleplaying sims, has led me to the decision to retire. Damage was a lot more extensive than just their sim, but aye, Chaos is dead. An old friend of mine in Chaos said that basically, everyone was telling Dark stuff and he was completely ignoring it, so they decided to fuck it and all left. Since Dark wasn't actually really providing much to the group beyond 'leadership' (if you can call it that) and parts of the sim build, it all collapsed around his feet.

If you don't mind Corsi, I'd like to take this chance to elaborate further on Invictus's combat niche. Invictus, above all else, is geared to be a rapid response team. We take pride in our ability to be able to receive word of a threat, either to Ordo or one of her allies, and be geared up and deploying in under 60 seconds. While they may seem to charge in with reckless abandon, there's more to it than that. It's more of a high risk, high reward combat style. Invictus members thrive in the bedlam of heated battle. Constant awareness of one's surroundings in a combat environment is a must for any Invictus marine. Being able to gauge the order in which a series of attacks will come, and quickly responding in whatever manner most efficiently eliminates those threats is a must. Also, of all of Terra's Alpha Contubernium forces, Invictus is also the most closely tied to Astra. We must rely on them when using our drop pods to hit far behind enemy lines, in the few sims that allow them. Good post though, Corsi. With all the new blood coming in, it was a much needed one. To any of that new blood, as Corsi mentioned, I'm happy to answer any further questions regarding Invictus. Our CO is Keller Teichmann, and our XOs are Teron Gray and zanndor Aeon. I'm sure they'd be more than willing to respond to inquiries as well.
