I have a room free for the get-together. Preferable on Sat Night, but Friday or Sunday may be free as well. All we need to do is hash out which day we're meeting up, then I can lock it in.

We're looking at close to 2 weeks now away. What day should we think of holding this meet on? Friday: The start of the con. Sat night: PArrrtty night! (Though many ppl may be busy) Sunday: Con's over, but not for us!

So what day should we hook up? Thrus, Friday, or Sat? And who's room/Location?

When I got to work today I had to sit inside a "Sterile" room where you can't bring any electronic device. No IPods, hell even some watches, zip, nada, nothing. Luckily I had "The Longest Day" by C. Ryan to keep me occupied and during this time I hit upon something that was gnawing at me the past few days. It was the argument that I so utterly loath that you see time and time again: "LoL! It's just a game! LOL" I had a carefully formulated article in my head where I explain that Checkers is a game, Backgammon is a game. Ordo is most defiantly not "Just a game." Then I get home and see you beat me to the damn punch with an eloquently written story! BAKA! GET OUT OF MY MIND!! (Seriously though, great write up)

Today while I was at work, I was reading my copy of "Strong Men Armed" by Robert Lecke. It's about the WW2 USMC Campaign in the Pacific, and it’s a damn good book. Written in 1962 its full of individual stories and lil details and is one of those history books you can't put down. Contained in these pages is a Ballard, sung by Marine motarmen during Guadalcanal. We have a weapon that nobody loves, They say our guns a disgrace, You crank up 200, and 200 more- And it all lands in the very same place. Oh there's many a gunner who's blowing his top, Observers are all going mad. But our affection has lasted, This pig iron bastard, Is the best gun this world ever had. (Can't wait for the Infernus update, hope they use this as a model)
