A true prodigy of FireFox.. Excellent write, I couldn't agree more. The strive for 'perfection' and 'excellence' is a very ambiguous goal to have. When setting goals as such, you have to understand what perfection is in your eyes. To be perfect by definition is impossible when applied to all encasing subjects, and should not be a goal for anyone. However obtaining a self defined role of 'perfection' is obtainable by dedication. With that said don't let your goals run wild with dreams of grandeur. Setting goals like "I want to be the next Imperator!" or "I want to never die in combat" while admirable desires, they are stacking up to fall. Many times I've seen people say "I want to be ____." and it being an obtainable goal, such as: an Officer, a Guardsman, or any other thing that fits. While those are all obtainable goals, with work and dedication to your goals, the person with those ambitions lost sight of them. They lost morale, ambition, self esteem just based on the fact their goals weren't easily obtained. Do note that no goal easily obtained is not worth having. If you wish to seek perfection, first know what perfection is.

Wait wha....? I totally missed something. However judging from what Ron's post has said, I would like to add in a bit of my own two cents and how I view combat in SL. It seems to work pretty well for me, but meh. All of you have heard the term 'Alls fair in love and war' and it's true. When faced with the ultimatum of victory or defeat, no holds bar to achieving victory. We all define our fighting styles, what we deem as fair or acceptable. Granted almost all of us follow the rules of Ordo as a guideline, we still hold to ourselves what we feel is acceptable. Now take into consideration all of your values, everything you have pride in: Skill in combat, being 'fair' by your own right, or just the general standard that gets brought into a fight. Now understand that the person your fighting doesn't care about any of that. Just some food for thought. If you think something is 'unfair' it can be looked at one of two ways. Either "They used all at their disposal to win." which is perfectly acceptable in my eyes, or the more popular "They needed to do that to win." My recommendation is to not think of it this way. It's hard to kick that mindset sometimes, however it would be good to think of all combat in the former sense rather than the latter. Don't focus on the bad points of battle. Also, about prim shooting, a .45acp round from a handgun(like a USP) has a penetration rating of about 14 inches in a human body. The standard exterior wall is only about 10 inches thick, and is NOT solid for most of its size as there are 4x4" square holes in the block used to build houses(commonly). Meaning there is about 3~6" of concrete, possibly 4" of wood, and 1 inch of insulation+drywall. Most of that, is ballistically(<-firefox spelling?) inferior to a human body.. So guess what, Bullets go through walls IRL. May as well adopt the ideal now that 'shit happens' and let prim shooting go. Unless it's blatant, in which case, say something? lol. Also apparently a 9mm FMJ goes up to 24" of penetration? thats pretty crazy.

Military training for Kids 3+? The duck toy, is kinda like a grenade... but if you throw a grenade, it turns into GREAT BALL OF FIRE! Be sure to practice in the bath kids. Thats what I gathered from it.

[bump] Played it and had a mild amount of fun, My account is Elite Agent or w/e and I still have 2 lvl 50's, a 35 and a 17. xD Woo~ Though the 'open world' was small ;c it's more fun queuing groups and PVPing still ;c but the quests do help you lvl a bit faster it seems, bonus exp an all. Which is nice.

I may redownload it and give it a try.

I bought this game for 49.99 pre-ordered it. Played it in Beta, they ruined it with their SandStorm patch. nuff said. I had all 4 classes lvl 50 before I finally quit when HiRez broke AvA and made it so one alliance won all the time no matter what. Edited in rant: (note: based on when I played) Snipers are utter bullshit, it takes 6k damage to build your boost ability. Snipers do 2.4k average meaning they get their boost every 3 shots. which guess what!? Makes them do more damage. They have no unique hit boxes, so headshots = body shots. Which is nice, makes sniping easier. However they broke the living hell out of the burst damage. Plus, to top it off, Recon's 2nd boost ability is a NUKE. 100m, goes through walls, kills everyone, NUKE. Yea, GG guise. a Nuke every 3 shots. I hope to god they nerfed that. And now that the rants over: Medics and assaults are, alright but Robotics was fun as hell, I strongly suggest you try them out, Also, if anyone tells you drones suck. Smack them, drones rock. If you want to have fun though, in all, honest to goodness fun. Super Agent spec Drone Robo. It's fun as hell, made the game worth it for a long time Imo. Medics in that game take ALOT of skill to be good though. It's hard to keep up healing properly since there are no magazines. All the weapons/gear uses a energy bar. Granted the energy cost scales per weapon, and you get a good regen on it. Also, by gear using energy I mean just your jetpack. The turrets, walls, grenades, etc. Those just have cooldown timers. Which really was a good way to do it. It used to be a good game, imo. However the Sandstorm patch epicly ruined the game. However on that note, I wonder if my account is still active.
