Ordo Karaoke Contest w/ Prizes

Recommended Posts

Due to the apparent need for a time extension on over half the entrants, I will be extending the deadline to 11:59PM SLT Monday.

This is in-part to the fact that I have not had SL access for the past two days, and my IM's got capped, so I may have missed submission links.

RESULTS

Tsume did not judge due to the score of a given contestant being so epic we decided to leave it so he could enjoy it.

Below are the contestants in order of final score.

The maximum possible score was 120 points.

A second prize was added, despite the original intention for this amount of players.

Scores and feedback are random in their order so they cannot be traced back to the judge that left them.

Some Judges were very forgiving and nice, others were much more critical

Deal with it.

Does anything else need be said? Pitch, lyrics, tempo... everything was perfect. His vocals were actually stronger than the original song, which I liked a lot. Commentary was good too. =p

-Vocals: The song was song amazingly. I was greatly surprised by this.

-Correctness: The lyrics were kept as if read from the monitor.

-Balance: The balance of the voice was what convinced me mostly that this was the song that he could sing. Do not let the intro scare you.

Judge 3

Score: 24

Pitch was almost entirely in synch, vocals were solid. His mic quality is crap, but that's probably not his fault. His tempo was a little off in certain places, but good overall.

Corsi

Place: 4th

Points: 91

Song: Garth Brooks - The River

Judge 1

Score: 15

Was disappointed. He had the pitch DEAD ON in certain places (mostly toward the end)

but his pace was completely off, forcing me to work play/pause button magic to keep the

song and his singing in synch.

Also, edited sound effects is >=(.

Next time, forget acapella and sing with the song.

-Vocals: He sang the song almost perfect and surprised me slightly.

-Correctness: The lyrics were sung fully as if read whilst sung.

-Vocals: She sang quite well. Not perfect, but quite good.

-Correctness: She remembered the lyrics fully.

-Balance: It is a difficult song to sing for people with a lighter voice so the tone caused a bit of issues and there were some pitches here and there.

Judge 3

Score: 24

Vocals: 7

Correctness: 10

Balance: 7

Judge 4

Score: 18

Tempo and pitch were off, but at a fairly consistent offset. She seemed to know the

feel of the song, but had trouble with executing it. It would probably have been a lot

better if she had had the song playing while she sang

Ron

Place: 6th

Points: 69

Song: Dalmatian Rex and the Eigentones - Octopus I love you

Judge 1

Score: 18

Vocals: 6

Correctness: 7

Balance: 5

Judge 2

Score: 20

-Vocals: 6

-Correctness: 8

-Balance: 6

-Vocals: I cannot say that was well sung. A good attempt to keep up with the song, but not well sung.

-Correctness: The lyrics were kept to a decent amount.

-Balance: Not a song of his, so much I can say. The tone was off and his voice twitched.

Judge 3

Score: 10

-Vocals: 5

-Correctness: 5

-Balance: 0

Judge 4

Score: 21

Voice wasn't steady at all, and trailed behind the song quite a bit. On the plus side,

I didn't have to look up the lyrics in advance. Normal score would be a five, but he

wins a point for being from Finland and another for making fun of Keller.
