Deadmon
Same, no time to play though. It hurts.
or10nsharkfin
Still waiting on a beta invite.Krow, I'd like to be a part of this Spec-Ops team. Terran Republic?
Krow Ames
Yep. TR all the way.
Cyphre Iredell
TR all the way! Wooo!Word on the street is they are already sending out invites currently, but it will be pretty limited for the short run because they don't have the backend currently to house a thousand people on a server just yet. Basically still alpha at this stage and I believe Planetside veterans are getting first dibs.
Krow Ames
I got in. While I'm a veteran, I wasn't able to use the account I had back then. I don't remember it. Nor would I remember the password. I got a key from Loki. While I can't say anything about it, I can tell you that the texture caching is really killing it. If I'm in the bomber seat of a lib, my client lags out until I crash because it can't cache the terrain fast enough. Or something. It just gets really choppy. Otherwise, it's smooth as butter. Xoza
Tried it last week... sorry, wasn't impressed..
BlackSergal
It's still closed beta.. Of course it's about as stable as Charles Manson on crack. The times I've played I've watched flying tanks, spining like tops and lots of warping ppl, swimming in mid air.
Krow Ames
Oh yeah, I'm grateful to be in the beta. But I do realize that it's just a beta. This won't be the finished product. And it's going to be absolutely 100 percent free to play. That in itself impresses the hell out of me. George Reisman
And it's going to be absolutely 100 percent free to play. That in itself impresses the hell out of me.I'm not going to call it 'till I see it.
Krow Ames
Well, the weapons that you can buy aren't upgrades. They called them "side-grades." Such as a weapon that might fire faster, but the reload takes longer.
Deadmon
Yeah, from what ive seen they are avoiding "pay to win" as much as possible. more like "pay for more choices of even level"
Krow Ames
There are those XP boosts that Hi-Rez does so well. Shit like that. But you can aquire everything in the game just by playing. And let's face it. This free to play model is already better than Mechwarrior Online's.

Huttser
Got a beta key today by bombarding their Twitter. Just got to wait for access now.
Riff Petrov
Just got one too. :D
Deadmon
^ if you harass twitter right now and follow then essentially claim you are a PS1 vet or super excited about the game or something similar you can get a priority beta access code. @Planetside2
Riff Petrov
I didn't claim anything, really. Just went on there and sent about 4 or 5 messages over 30 minutes and got one, lol. Feels good man.
Huttser
PS1 vets have to use their old accounts. They don't get special beta keys.
Deadmon
PS1 vets have to use their old accounts. They don't get special beta keys.I know, but for instance I said "Im a PS1 vet that lost his account through email transfer. Hook me up with some more mayhem?" or something to those lines. The betas they are giving out through twitter are priority beta keys, meaning first round of beta access in this phase. Likely staggered by a few hours or a single day to lighten the amount of logins.
Huttser
I said "Please give me a beta key. I'll love you forever" and I got a key in about 30 minutes, so honestly, I don't think it matters what you say XD
Krow Ames
Keep in mind that the current state of the game isn't representative of what the final product will be. This is pretty much just the framework.
Deadmon
People always say that during betas, but lately every single beta is damn near the release with just the worst bugs fixed, sometimes not even that.SWTOR was a great example. Lol. especially since this is a free to play model they are likely to get the game released sooner rather than later and just fix it as they go along,
Krow Ames
I'm okay with that. There's more player input guiding the game's continued development.
