Tsume Xiao
Let me start by saying this is serious.I am not trying to be a troll or start drama, and if you feel the urge to do either of those on this thread you are pathetic. Currently serving in Afghanistan is Priest Foxely, a member of the Ordo Imperialis since pre-2009. (I can't find his exact enlistment date because he pre-dates FireFox's databse.)He was the Optio of the very first iteration of Antesigani, as well as involved in Levitas, one of the squads that precided Ante. You may not have seen him online much, because he was overseas. He got back stateside, and on September 14th he redeployed to Afghanistan. Now then, here is the point of this whole thread right here. This person, this active US soldier who is risking his life in the name of our country (well, the country of the majority of Ordo), posted an FA journal today saying that there is one thing he currently wishes he could watch, but cant because the large base he goes to "every week or so" when a vehicle blows up and they need repairs can't do so on it's internet. In case you haven't figured it out already by the name of this thread/unofficial operation, that show is season two of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Now before anyone even thinks of laughing or or criticizing him (if you already have, pick up your keyboard and bash yourself in the face with it), take scope of the situation. Here we have a man, an Ordo member no less, putting himself in jeopardy. If watching something as simple as a TV can help boost his moral and pick up his spirits, who cares what show it is. Yes, this is one of those "Support the Troops" things, and it is personal to us as a group because this particular trooper is one of us(if I recall, he even nicknamed a squad "Antesigani" while on tour the first time). So I propose we do what we can to fulfill his simple request. This weekend I will be searching to find some way to do this, which may mean a call or email to Hasbro. If that doesn't work, I have some other ideas, but I'd rather take care of this as legitimately as possible. If anyone has any other suggestions on how to do this, please post them. That was the whole idea of this thread. The more minds we have working on this the better chance we have to succeed. -Tsume

Vesper Akiri
Just download the videos off youtube, put it onto a DVD and airmail it to him
Eriksson Foxtrot
I highly doubt Hasbro will make any exceptions. If Season 2 is currently airing, that likely means they haven't yet made the DVDs and are in the process of doing so right now. However, that doesn't say I'm not going to try and give a call/email! I'm actually in the process of thinking of alternatives in case the phoning method falls under the floor. Nevertheless, I don't think Hasbro would take kindly to theoretically pirating their copies off YouTube and sending them off overseas. Legit means legit. Mark Karlfeldt
Hasbro has a history of being super awesome towards its dedicated fans. Quite a few people have gotten a lot of free MLP swag from Hasbro for things, like the guy who held a physics essay on MLP. I don't think it would be out of the question for them to mail the episodes to Priest or something.
Altus Nirvana
I wish him luck watching mlp around an fob. What you could do is just record them as they air, and send them to him one at a time as they premiere.

Jayce Iredell
Yeah, I watched a youtube clip of some marines viewing 2 Gs 1 C, I don't think a children' cartoon is going to cause -THAT- much of an issue, besides he could do a lot worse with his free time; like these guys... Altus Nirvana
You'd be suprised how laid back and accepting most soldiers are. lol another way is if his station has a decent enough internet strength, you could see if that show is on one of those net TV services. Kishoshima Dragonash
The only way he could know that MLP is for faggots is if he watched himself, soooo I guess that makes him one too? lol Gotta love it when people are ignorant. There are quite a few Servicemen out there that watch old saturday morning cartoons... We did it as a morale thing when I was in Pohang back in '03. Chaplain set up a screen in the mess hall and we watched the first full season of Thundercats. Was epic.
Ron Bleac
When I was doing my national service some people brought in portable DVD players to watch stuff with. Mostly porn. What we could do is splurge a bit and get like, some sort of DVD box set that has all episodes aired so far. I'm assuming this guy is going to be there for a while, so the most we could do when it comes to MLP is wait for the DVDs to roll out. Could throw in a couple of good movies or other shows too. Like, BlackAdder. We watched that shit so much, one of us was repeating all the lines before the characters on screen did. Made for really good timewasting after we got done with routines, inspections, drills and maintenance.
Deadmon
While MLP is fine and good, we need to hook him up with some Phinneas and Ferb, Regular Show, and Adventure Time. :D hey, wheres Perry? Altus Nirvana
That wasent a shot at those who watch cartoons, just mlp in general....besides the point, if watching a little girl's TV show is what he wants in terms of entertainment, then so be it, hes at war. Its been earned. Only reason I said good luck is not so much the fact its mlp, but moreso when at times theres only one DVD player to a portable bunk unit.Sharing is Caring vs Freindship is Magic. Also, adventure time is miller time. Edited October 8, 2011 by Altus Nirvana

Jeffery Worbridge
While MLP is fine and good, we need to hook him up with some Phinneas and Ferb, Regular Show, and Adventure Time. :D hey, wheres Perry? We watch Adventure Time over at the academy in my room, the one guy in my room has the DVD and we pretty much watch it every morning before we get up and go to exercise. It's a pretty stupid show, to the point where it's so down right hilarious that I end up laughing and enjoy watching it.
