Hunter Abrams
Whats good? Price range is not expensive. Just need it to run sl max and a few older gen games lik Morrowind oblivion etc on highest. Just list some and I'll look at them if. CyberpowerPC... The ring hand for you >:(
Xoza
Just make sure you have a 'dedicated videocard' Just like desktops they have to have their own memory to best operate.
Tsukiyomi Yuhara
Remember SL is more dependant upon processor power than graphics card for performance. So try and do a quad core and you should be fine. Also I Xoza raises a valid point, definitely be sure to get one using dedicated video memory. Xoza
If no one else has any ideas, or opinions, I'd jump over to your nearest computer repair shop and ask what they would recommend. All I have to do is say though, do your research, a good few weeks, its worth it. My father likes some of the more recent Sony stuff, maybe look into that as well? He does a ton of research before be buys something over so much money.
Hunter Abrams
I'm going to do 6 months of research and shopping. Looking at reviews customer opinions etc etc I would like to know what companies to look at and if anybody owns a gaming laptop their opinion of it

Just get a 600-700 dollar sony viao (try to find one with the best integrated graphics card) from there just get G skill 4 gig memory cards and have great bandwith. Bam, your set. all for less than 1000 bucks. yay \o/ (I used to have 620 dollar sony laptop, 8 gigs, antannae wireless) Psh. SL choke? what? Never. [least on the graphic side of things.. Connection on the other hand... x.x] That should definitely put you under 800. Just sayin.
Hunter Abrams
Think I'll spend the extra few hundred and get a nice one that has dedicated card. That way I can upgrade later
Nightfall Foxclaw
You want a 1.3k computer? Ok. I'll show you one.
Larry Furlough
I went and invested in an Asus GH73jh a year back, it's pretty nice and it's great for gaming, but looking back I think I should've just taken the money and got a new MacBook or something. It'd had been a lot more portable, and I'd eventually end up needing that >_>And yeah like Xoza said, Asus does give you problems. Not built too sturdily. Then again, neither were any of my toshibas. Runs great though. Most the time.
Hunter Abrams
See that was helpful not assinin. Im looking more for sturdy platforms not whats cheap or sorta gets the job done. Like run Skyrim on max. Skyrim is not a super epic game that requires a powerhouse. A xbox 360 is running it on max. Thats a very old system and smaller than a laptop.
