Deadmon
This is way too soon for a new BF game, usually they take much longer between each. Some of the early speculation is that its going to be a non-modern one. Hoping for futuristic? ;p
Scarlet Flaks
https://twitter.com/Battlefield/status/224057280700751872After this tweet, they've been denying it and simply telling people if it were real, it would be posted on the official http://www.battlefield.com/ webpage. Krow Ames
Doesn't look like they're denying it. Just saying "pay attention to the site for the real news." Could go either way on that.

Huttser
They haven't even released 3 of the 4 announced DLCs, I doubt they'll be running BF4 out just yet.
Krow Ames
Didn't they continue releasing DLCs BF2 while 2142 launched?
Hollowmenphobia
Yes, because 2142 wasn't as popular as they thought it was going to be.
Scarlet Flaks
DICE is also working on Mirrors Edge 2, along with the BF3 DLC's.

Deadmon
holy crap, guess I missed that, its only $10 more than usual but still thats stupid.
Cyphre Iredell
Thats the 'Digital Deluxe Edition' which is still absurd pricing considering their last MoH game.
Krow Ames
Man, they used to be 49. Then 59. It's been "just ten dollars more" every time. :l I don't know what to hate right now. But I hate it.
SalemAdams Wobbit
Game companies are getting greedy.By the way, Starcraft II is still $
Tsume Xiao
Didn't they continue releasing DLCs BF2 while 2142 launched?Yes, because 2142 wasn't as popular as they thought it was going to be.BF2142 was also a different style of game. It was all spacey and futurey. A lot of FPS players, especially those who played BF2, didn't like that.
Krow Ames
I Ffffing loved it. It was a far superior game in comparison to BF2. The tactical options were much greater and people didn't get sniped in .02 seconds of logging in to the game.

Krow Ames
I was a Ffffing beast at 2142. Give me a Krylov or Bauer and send me at 'em. I did those kinds of run where you pick up dead people's gear packs instead of reloading. I'm quite proud of my accomplishments in 2142. I miss that game so Ffffing much. Deadmon
I was a 2142 fan myself, I enjoyed the unique "titan" mode and the techalso, picking up packs instead of resupply is my standard battlefield tactic. Its faster and you dont have to leave your recently secured (you just killed people so yeah its clear) position unprepared.
SalemAdams Wobbit
Speaking of BF2142, I actually have it. Also, if you only have the first game, you have the expansion pack automatically with the latest patch.
Cyphre Iredell
Was a great game because they could easily balance all the weapons to certain specifications without all the real steel business getting in the way.

Deadmon
I really hope it isnt modern. With this close timing its unlikely theres any major leaps forward in tech or graphics. It would be bad company "bleh" probably. Dont get me wrong, bad company had its good parts, but for the most part they were sub-par. past, future, something not modern. :[. Krow Ames
Future. And let me knife people in the front again. :l I had so many dogtags in 2142
Krow Ames
also, picking up packs instead of resupply is my standard battlefield tactic. Its faster and you dont have to leave your recently secured (you just killed people so yeah its clear) position unprepared. It kept you versatile and flexible in your options. Tank coming? Good, you just killed an engineer. Switch over to his Pilum. Large enemy group coming in? Great, pick up that dead scout's gear and cloak out.I was more deadly on foot than in any vehicle the game had to offer.I did have two friends come over to my house and we'd share a connection, though. I'd fly the dropship and they'd gun off of it, a technique called "running oldschool." They could get 25 or 30 easy kills like this, and we've been known to shoot down our share of gunships with this technique.Otherwise, on foot, I was far deadlier than any vehicle.
