Although this game is TBA in terms of official state side release the Japanese version is free to play, and there is an English patch that is mostly easy to set up with the PSO2 Tweaker (http://arks-layer.com/index.php). Aldotsk Posted May 28, 2014 Share Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) Considering that I am a former Phantasy Star Online player since Dreamcast/Gamecube and then BlueBurst for PC, I am a huge supporter of any Phantasy Star Online based games. Phantasy Star Universe and Blue Burst were disbanded from SEGA USA not many years ago, and there has been a lot of US players who joined JPN server to play this amazing game. The third person shooting style makes it feel like you are playing Gears of War/Mass Effect. So whoever plays Ranger/Gunner and you like Mass Effect shooting style, then this is your game. Should there be any interest in doing any roleplaying community for this game, please let me know! I'd definitely roleplay with everyone else in Ship 02. Apparently my SEGA ID went through alright, but it never gave me a screen to register it to PSO2. Gonna check after it installs and see if it'll let me in, otherwise I'll have to fight the CAPTCHA boss again to register it to the game. Seriously. Lanny Ansar Posted June 2, 2014 Share Posted June 2, 2014 I pretty-much gave up on trying to install it after the english patches refused to install, and the endless amount of japanese captchas I had to fight through just to activate PSO2 onto my account. Game looks pretty badass, but it's almost not worth trying to go through that crap just to play it. That and it took like 3 friggin' days to install. Then you start doing the installations as the tutorial says in the client. -DO NOT OPEN THE PSO2 OFFICIAL CLIENT. OR YOU WILL SCREW IT UP.- If you did, uninstall and delete the folder and reinstall it. Odin didn't have issues, and neither did I. If you followed the tutorial, it should be all good, man. After 2 hours of fighting it with that nearly-pointless translator, I nearly punched my laptop and went to smoke a cig. No game is good enough to warrant that type of frustration.
