Dascede
On behalf of Ethan Schuman and myself:We cordially invite you to come join us on Starsiege: Tribes. The game is old as dirt; the publishing date was November 30, 1998. However, the gameplay mechanics are pioneer to many of the games we play today, and it's some excellent team fun if you can get past the graphics. We play the Annihilation mod for the general portion of our time with the few others we've gotten into playing, but we also will try anything available to suggestion.Now. If you are interested in this, there will be instructions detailed in a reply post from Ethan on how to get Tribes and the things necessary to play Anni. Tribes is free and available for download, and most mods are serverside, with the exception of maps.

Ethan Schuman
http://neutralx2.com/tribesThis URL provides a background on the game, download links to everything you need, and instructions on how to install it. In brief summary, you'll need to download the game first, which comes in version 1.8. You'll then need to patch to 1.11. Once you've done this, follow the instructions on the website to properly add the new master servers. Before you do this, you'll get an "Unable to verify internet connection" error message when you try to refresh the servers. That goes away after you add the new servers in through console. The 1.30 "patch" isn't mandatory, but it allows you to connect to servers that run it. As of this posting, nearly all base (un-modded) servers run it, so you may want to pick it up anyways since it's backwards compatible with 1.11 and is meant to prevent cheating.Make SURE you download and install the three extra map packs offered. If you have any questions, contact me in world when I'm online, or (preferably) over Ventrilo.EDIT: Don't worry about downloading any mods. Annihilation, like most mods, is entirely server side. Edited May 2, 2009 by Ethan Schuman
