============================================================

CHAT LOG:

Meeting Opener

[18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Good evening everyone. Thank you all for coming! Have a seat please. As a reminder, please hold comments and questions until the opportunity is provided to speak. You will all be given a chance, so, it is important that you do not break the flow of the discussion by interjecting. 1

[18:02] Aryte Vesperia: -1

[18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Those who do interrupt me will be politely dismissed.

[18:02] Aryte Vesperia: And probably flogged.

[18:02] Aryte Vesperia: If you have a question, at the appropriate time, please be sure to shout it. Our recorder is centralized, so she will not be able to hear you unless you do!

[18:03] Aryte Vesperia: Again. >Shout<.

[18:03] Aryte Vesperia: Having said all of that, let’s get to it.

[18:03] Aryte Vesperia: First up, this week’s statistics:

Imperator’s Report

[18:03] Aryte Vesperia: Members 287, cadets 7.

[18:04] Aryte Vesperia: New applications: 13. Acdepted: 3. Denied: 10.

[18:04] Aryte Vesperia: Curia review: 2.

[18:04] Aryte Vesperia: Defense pings: 91.

[18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Offensive deployments: 8.

[18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic events this week have been sparse. There seems to be a fairly eerie quiet while bullets fly against the anti-IS “Anvil Coalition.” Combat with them has been intensive, but, thus far, IS victories have continued to mount.

[18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Notably, the CS has enacted stringent regulations on the sizes of bullets permitted within their new region build. The Ordo has received a general “OK” from their command.

Divisional Reports

[18:07] Aryte Vesperia: All right, unit reports this evening?

[18:07] Sosarin Demar raises his hand.

Astra

[18:07] Sosarin Demar: Efforts this week were concentrated in training. Fighter and Thanatos training was completed among most of our most recent additions. Congratulations Nohime Runner and Zashi Southpaw. That just leaves shippo Coba in the queue for next week. An exercise was hosted in Malleus to practice bomber escort and dogfighting. I want to thank all who participated and I hope to see more such events in the near future. This will help prepare us for full blown air raids against difficult targets in hard latency. A friendly reminder: Detox Exonar has returned from vacation, so flight reports should go to him. Great job getting those reports in, flight leads, and we welcome you back, Detox. That concludes this week's report for Astra.

[18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent, thank you.

[18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Umarov, for Terra.

Terra

[18:08] Lestat Umarov: Another eventful week for Terra. The rusty anvil continues to keep us busy while combat deployments are being carried out per the norm. A lot squads are waiting on updates regarding gear and personell busy with school. Aside from that everything is going well. Now, onot unit reports.

[18:08] Lestat Umarov: From Keller for Invictus: "The status quo, another week of high raid activity from the squad. Some personnel out of commission due to RL concerns or computer troubles, but the rest of the squad keeps hammering away."

[18:08] Lestat Umarov: From Zerowinged for Antesignani: "We have recieved peliminary sketches, more updates to be distrubuted as needed. One training preformed utilizing Malleus. Light week."

[18:08] Lestat Umarov: From Zrazor for Insidiae: "The Demolitions HUD is mostly finished, needs additional testing, should be distributed within the next week. Squad currently has two openings and is still taking applications. Apps can be found at http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/6895-insidiae-taking-applications/ on the forums for interested parties."

[18:08] Lestat Umarov: From Genesis for Cohors B: "This week has been on track with members being added at a constant rate, but still few PRFs done. Make sure you guys are bugging your commanders to get a PRF done on yourself; gotta get those unlock points! Beyond that activity again is still on a stdeay climb and we hope to see each and everyone at some point come forward to your leads with some great training ideas. Looking forward to next weeks fun and adventures! "

[18:10] Lestat Umarov: From myself for the Adiutor staff: "A few things to bring up per the Adiutor staff. Centurion Soulbinder Wolfstein, Former Legates of Terra, has been appointed as the Terra Chief Advisor, alongside that as an Adiutor Regulator. He will basically be observing Terra from the outside so to the sheer size of the group and assisting Terra Command when needed. It's been decided that the Unit of the month outline will be worked on before Soldier and Officer so as to give a sort of trial run before we delve further into this."

[18:10] Lestat Umarov: This concludes my report for Terra. Any additional reports may be given at the discretion of the Imperator.

[18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you.

[18:10] Anlysia Gregoire raises a hand.

[18:10] Corsi Mousehold raises her hand.

[18:10] Vincent Lucerne: :(<----

[18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Gregoire?

[18:10] Heavy666 Bolden raises a paw.

Munitorum

[18:11] Anlysia Gregoire: I'm not pretyping this, so it may take a sec.

[18:11] Anlysia Gregoire: Light update from Munitorum this week. As you can see, the demo HUD is done. The Crossbow is getting close (finally), and the wristblade and uniform mod are in-progress. Armory update requires me and Aryte to have time to talk, which is difficult due to scheduling conflicts.

[18:11] Vincent Lucerne: ao off

[18:12] Anlysia Gregoire: (AKA he works too much.)

[18:12] Anlysia Gregoire: As you can see, lots of pretty tanks. Maybe I'll find out someone's made training for them, today. :V

[18:12] Anlysia Gregoire: (Probably not though.)

[18:12] Anlysia Gregoire: And...that's about all.

[18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. I should have time this weekend.

[18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Should.

[18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Bolden?

[18:12] Heavy666 Bolden: I just had a general question about the bullet sizes at CS have the specified what size is acceptable?

[18:12] Aryte Vesperia: One moment:

[18:13] Corsi Mousehold raises her hand.

[18:13] Aryte Vesperia: Mousehold?

[18:13] WolfShaman Warrior: .06 x .06 x 5m

[18:13] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you.

[18:13] Heavy666 Bolden: thats big.

Tactica

[18:13] Corsi Mousehold shouts: Tactica Tactica has been gaining a bit of ground with an information heavy week and sorting out who is where with what. We have stepped onto the soil of two new-to-us militaries the SLAD and the Onyx Empire. SLAD is very open to the idea of our presence and has offered to allow us to explore in detail for the Tactica report. Onyx Empire was originally listed as a 'Military for Hire' but now they have their own sim so that is updated. Delta Force now has a new home as well which has been posted to the forums so this week in short has been a game of musical chairs with military sims with the Special Forces that were previously in Caribbean Breezes still being left without a sim. The word is they are still looking for a home. Finally, Tamarillo, home of Regius, has changed ... again.

[18:14] Corsi Mousehold shouts: Zerowinged is currently working on a high detailed report on the new Thorium build as well. Corsi's working on the new report for Kingston Springs.

[18:14] Corsi Mousehold shouts: Beyond that, Trevor is going to be making a few final twists and turns for Tactica like activity requirements monthly as well as a standard recruitment and assignment policy. Up until now it has been voulenteer for assignments and at present we have a wiki to build. Speaking of the wiki, it has become apparant that the notecard format and the wiki format appear very different from one another so we will be simply abolishing the notecard format.

[18:14] Corsi Mousehold shouts: So yes! Lots of stuff going on! As a reminder to everyone the Wiki is located at http://www.ordoimperialis.com/wiki/ and you must have a validated account to see stuff (refer to http://www.ordoimperialis.com/wiki/Help:Accounts for how to have your account validated. This concludes the Tactica report.

[18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you.

[18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Any further unit reports?

[18:16] Vincent Lucerne: \o

[18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Lucerne?

[18:16] Vincent Lucerne: Not so much a "unit" but I did want to tell everyone to go check out Malleus when they have a chance :D

[18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Aye.

[18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you.

[18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on, then.

Old Business

[18:17] Vincent Lucerne: ^^

[18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Any old business to touch on this evening?

[18:17] Vincent Lucerne: \o

[18:17] Vinnie Lei raises hand (not sure if its old, but anyhows).

[18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Lucerne?

[18:18] Kytec Switchblade raises a hand

[18:18] Vincent Lucerne: Navis this week :O?

[18:18] Intus Infinity raises hand.

[18:18] Ethan Schuman: I have something on that note.

[18:18] Aryte Vesperia: That's a pretty broad question. The answer is, improbable.

[18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Switchblade?

[18:20] Kytec Switchblade: I would just like to start by stating that this week was extremely eventful on all fronts. Seems the copybot issue has died down after being persued for hours on end, and sleepless nights on all counts have paid off in general. We've had some intense defenses, and some strange occurances, but we came out strong as we always do, Keep up the great work everyone.

[18:20] Kytec Switchblade: Thats all.

[18:21] Aryte Vesperia: Well said. I concur. Thank you, everyone.

[18:21] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Infinity?

[18:21] Intus Infinity: Website activity is on the rise by 1.26%! Most visits the past week were from the United States (1613), Canada (290), and the UK (286). Finland had 49 visits. For a more detailed analysis or questions, contact me.

[18:22] Intus Infinity: *Jason IMs me*

[18:22] Aryte Vesperia: I . . like how Ron, alone, puts Finland on the board.

[18:22] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman?

[18:23] Ethan Schuman: Actually, my note was in respnse to the Navis inquiy. I will be holdinga conferrence sometime this week to explore possible future implementations and deployments of a new Navis.

[18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Oh all right.

[18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Sounds good to me.

[18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Any other old business to bring up?

[18:23] Vinnie Lei still holds hand up ;o

[18:24] Ethan Schuman: The meeting time will be posted on the forum. It is open to all.

[18:24] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Lei.

[18:24] Vinnie Lei shouts: I would like to have a 'rumour' confirmed or busted, but there's been mentioning of a weapon in development (in Insidia if not mistaken) which would have something like a dodgeroll/movementenhancement. I'd have big concerns with such in Ordo and thought I'd bring it up.

[18:24] Aryte Vesperia points at Anlysia.

[18:24] Anlysia Gregoire: I can field this.

[18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Go ahead.

[18:25] Anlysia Gregoire: This actually leads in two directions. First off is the Insidiae wristblade.

[18:26] Anlysia Gregoire: The Insidiae wristblade as a concept has a forward "boost" in it to get the user into melee range more effectively. As it's scripted right now, it works like a basic dodgeroll, but limited to forward only. The final design I want is a bit different. If you're out of melee range but within a specific range, it'll push you forward so you can melee. This is different than a dodgeroll since it only works at a certain range.

[18:27] Anlysia Gregoire: The other direction of this is the Boost Pack, which is a concept I'm working on as part of my backpack initiative. This is a more traditional dodgeroll, as other armies use. However it's designed to replace the jetpack. So you have a dodge roller, yes, but at the cost of not having a jetpack. Basically to make you decide what you want. In this view I consider dodge rolls more balanced.

[18:27] Corsi Mousehold raises her hand.

[18:27] Anlysia Gregoire: There's some other concepts in the backpack vein as other alternatives to the jetpack, since I consider the fact equipment goes jetpack-or-not to be somewhat...limited.

[18:27] shippo Coba: oops

[18:28] shippo Coba: wasent supposed to give that

[18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you for the thorough explanation.

[18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Mousehold?

[18:29] Corsi Mousehold: Just because this is going to be asked by others and to get the question out to the most possible. Is the backpack going to be in the same locker as the Jetpack?

[18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Presumably not.

[18:29] FireFox Breed rises one of his clawed paws.

[18:29] Anlysia Gregoire: The idea was to open up alternative unlocks. Right now basically everyone gets a jetpack first.

[18:29] Aryte Vesperia nods.

[18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Breed?

[18:30] FireFox Breed: Please be reminded that you are required to have a account and know the password on the staff database. http://firefoxinc.net/ordo/ If you do not please see mee. Do to some promotion tests and PRF requesting form being on there it is best you have one. Check your profiles and make sure everything is there and up to date. If you can not log in, something is missing or any questions please im me.

[18:30] FireFox Breed: Also the global comm unit. Please have it on you and use it. I need more load testing and its quite usefull in combat. Bug me if you need help.

[18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Any last questions before we move on?

[18:31] Aryte Vesperia: All right, perfect. Moving on.

Keynote Topics

[18:31] Aryte Vesperia: Keynote stuff, yay.

[18:31] Aryte Vesperia: First. A couple comments to make on the topic of armor. First off: the deployment of armor. The tactical use of our armor in both offensive and defensive posture has become more and more prominent.

[18:32] Aryte Vesperia: The Ordo began as a mechanized underdog, but, by the efforts of many, we have pushed to the forefront of armored warfare.

[18:33] Aryte Vesperia: Currently, the Ordo is expanding its arsenal and making a more uniformed tier. This will establish the need of additional instructional courses, and, possibly additional structural additions to compensate for the allocation of vehicles to Terra units.

[18:33] Aryte Vesperia: We will be fielding the following (for sure—doesn’t count any potential additions, like the gigantic tank Vincent had rezzed a moment ago):

[18:33] Aryte Vesperia: An un-named heavy battle tank, which will serve as a limited issue “elite” vehicle; it will host a standard main gun, co-axial machinegun, and tough, tough armor. The model in the SW corner of the room.

[18:34] Vincent Lucerne: Thats not that big D:!

[18:34] Aryte Vesperia: An un-named medium main battle tank, which will be our main issue combat tank; it will host a standard main gun, co-axial machinegun, and a standard armor shell. The NW corner of the room.

[18:34] Aryte Vesperia: The Infensus, our currently issued medium/light infantry support vehicle. The Infensus is the vehicle with the dual 20mm cannons and the pod rockets. It is currently fielded by Antesignani.

[18:35] Aryte Vesperia: An un-named light APC, which will be more widely available to Terra units to create “mechanized infantry” squads. The APC has a significant passenger capacity and sports a single 20mm cannon, with an additional single AT rocket.

[18:35] Aryte Vesperia: (Behind me.)

[18:35] Tsume Xiao: ((It is named))

[18:35] Aryte Vesperia: (Whatever.)

[18:35] Aryte Vesperia: The Mangusta, our MRLS platform that is currently in testing phases: it has been fielded a few times against enemy abroad. The Mangusta hosts a slew of rocket pods and a light machinegun for personal defense.

[18:35] Typhon Perun raises a paw

[18:36] Aryte Vesperia: There are several other vehicles that have served as test beds—such as the mini tanks and the Leman Russ look-alike. Tentatively, the Leman will find itself on sale soon via-Titan Industries. As for the others, such as the Veritas, that has not yet been determined. For the foreseeable they will remain active.

[18:36] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Perun?

[18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Foreseeable future, I did mean.

[18:37] Typhon Perun: Are these new vehicles going to be the repsnsiblity for Antesigani, or are they ebing expaned a bit for other divisions due to the exapaned inventory on tanks and such?

[18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Their deployment will go beyong Antesignani, correct.

[18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Beyond, rather.

[18:39] Aryte Vesperia: As a side note to the topic of armor, I wish to briefly address the use of armor within Titan.

[18:39] Aryte Vesperia: It is my policy that armor should be utilized in any situation that the enemy force is of a sizeable nature, unless the enemy is being defeated by infantry assets with notable ease. This is especially important with the anti-IS coalition groups. Their tactics commonly include large scale attacks over long periods of time. Many times, the attacks include several stages and jabs against our allies.

[18:40] Aryte Vesperia: As such, it is important that armor components act as the weight behind our defense line, allowing for rapid distribution of infantry among multiple battle lines.

[18:40] Aryte Vesperia: Defense commanders are thus recommended to deploy armor to cover crucial points of contact, such as the far extremities of the base line—this allows for infantry to focus on the main defense, while tanks can hold down the usual soft spots.

[18:41] Aryte Vesperia: In the event that enemy utilizes air assets and is attempting to deploy forces behind the lines, clean-up/firefighting is also a job best trusted to armor. A single Infensus sitting at the last bridgehead can easily remove the threat of enemy deployment from the air. This was demonstrated last night.

[18:42] Aryte Vesperia: The offensive capability of our armor is commendable, but the defensive power of our armor is beyond impressive.

[18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?

[18:42] Corsi Mousehold raises her hand

[18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Mousehold?

[18:44] Corsi Mousehold: In past defenses in deploying the Infensus I have found it difficult to see over the barricades for infantry and effectively engage opponents on the ground. Can something be done about this close to the center of the front line so armor can be more effective? Even a meter and a half platform is a great difference.

[18:44] Aryte Vesperia: I will request it.

[18:44] Aryte Vesperia: No problem.

[18:44] Corsi Mousehold: The biggest example is trying to engage targets on the bridge.

[18:45] Aryte Vesperia: I know what you're talking about. Low profile, hard to get a shot.

[18:45] Aryte Vesperia: Good point, thank you.

[18:45] Aryte Vesperia: All right, next topic.

[18:45] Aryte Vesperia: I wish to briefly re-touch on some basic expectations for the sake of refreshing.

[18:45] Aryte Vesperia: First up: during briefings for combat, it is expected that you are present and attentive. Asking questions that were covered in the basic rule assessment for the region is hindering the overall coherency of the deployment. Grab a copy of the rules of the region upon entrance and review it yourself for quick re-check.

[18:47] Aryte Vesperia: Be extremely attentive to following the expectations of that region. In the event that you are accused of breaking a specific rule: be polite. Regardless if the claim is baseless, it is important that you do not cop an attitude. It seems like a very basic idea, but you’d be surprised how often an enemy group will be attacking here and my “hey, please don’t take delayed TP” IM is responded with: “FUCK U GUY I NEVER DID THAT OMG.”

[18:48] Aryte Vesperia: We, really, do not want to be that guy. Failing that, direct the individual complaining to the raid leader if there are any existing complaints.

[18:48] Aryte Vesperia: During combat expeditions, conversations must be short and on topic. Remember to use name: always use name. Talk in third person and use directional indicators, based on the world compass. “I am going to the right” is so ambiguous that there was no point in even saying it. “Aryte, heading north east.” Much better.

[18:49] Aryte Vesperia: . Commentary in regards to how unfair the enemy is and the dissertation about how lame something is will not be tolerated. In the future > > I will be expecting officers to dismiss individuals from raids based on needless rambling. < <

[18:50] Aryte Vesperia: Now, for a new expectation: unless otherwise stated by the raid leader, non-Ordo weapons are prohibited for use during deployments. I want to see Ordo more uniform in presentation of weaponry/armament. Again, if the raid leader determines it acceptable (be sure the region allows it), you may deviate.

[18:51] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?

[18:52] ZeroNightmare Kaventipovic Raises his paw

[18:52] Aryte Vesperia: Kaventipovic?

[18:53] ZeroNightmare Kaventipovic: If I'm understanding this correctly if we ask are raid leader if using a different company weapon is okay and he/she saies go ahead its clear to be used otherwise its prohibited, and does this include the use of Titan Industy weapons?

[18:53] Aryte Vesperia: Don't even ask. Let the raid leader tell you. Lol.

[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: As for TI. Uuhh.

[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: Supports the Ordo. I'll allow it.

[18:54] Sesshomaru Kozlov raises her paw

[18:54] ZeroNightmare Kaventipovic: Understood Sir.

[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: Kozlov?

[18:54] Xayvien Rau: You left out communism.

[18:54] Sesshomaru Kozlov: What about MM or IS?

[18:54] Aryte Vesperia: Nope.

[18:54] Sesshomaru Kozlov: Ok sir

[18:55] Aryte Vesperia: Any other questions?

[18:55] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on.

[18:56] Aryte Vesperia: How many of you knew there was an administrative department responsible for the entirety of the Ordo education? It’s rhetorical, don’t answer.

[18:56] Aryte Vesperia: The Imperial Education Administration was established some months ago in preparation for expansion of academies, etc. At this time, I would like to announce the first lead of the IEA: Zero Itamae.

[18:57] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Itamae has been the head of both Schola and Armatura for some time now. In essence, he was the de-facto lead of the IEA. Now we’re simply making good and appropriately adjusting his role. He will maintain control of Schola and Armatura directly, until it is determined that replacements are warranted.

[18:57] Aryte Vesperia: With his new role, Mr. Itamae will now be assigned reach the position of [O-1]. Congratulations.

[18:57] Aryte Vesperia: I know I edited reach out of that sentence. Fuck you, paste.

[18:58] Aryte Vesperia: As part of the IEA’s assignment, Mr. Itamae will be responsible for all educational processes that affect the group at large—Schola, Armatura, academies, group examinations, et cetera. Flight training and Terra unit specific training are not within IEA jurisdiction.

[18:58] Aryte Vesperia: His first task will be updating and revising Schola, bringing it up to speed with current Ordo expectations. If you have any material suggestions or revision ideas, please notecard them to Zero Itamae (and send me a copy).

[18:58] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?

[18:58] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?

[18:59] Desereck Creeggan: Congratulations Zero!

[18:59] Aryte Vesperia: Or those.

[18:59] zanndor Aeon: Hi5!

[18:59] zanndor Aeon: Zero

[18:59] Aryte Vesperia: He's not here, by the way.

[18:59] Vincent Lucerne claps anyway

[18:59] Desereck Creeggan: He'll read it :C

[18:59] Desereck Creeggan: In ze log

[18:59] Aryte Vesperia: Haha. Indeed!

[19:00] Aryte Vesperia: Okay! Last topic from me, aaand then we'll open the floor.

[19:01] Aryte Vesperia: For those of you paying attention to the weekly stats, you'll notice we've been teetering back and forth closer/not so close to 300. It's a very natural progression. In the officer forums, I pointed out it seems like we always tend to lose 5-6 people, then pick up 10.

[19:01] Aryte Vesperia: For whatever reason, whenever it rains, it pours. It's like all the inactive "mm maybe I should quit" folks hold a secret meeting and leave at the same time. It's always been this way. People cycle out.

[19:02] Aryte Vesperia: When we do hit 300, which we will, that will be a big moment for us. We will make a bit of a ceremony out of it. In addition to which, I do have some sort of "surprise" additions to the group to announce when we reach there.

[19:04] Aryte Vesperia: Good things, I'll add. Haha.

[19:04] Aryte Vesperia: Questions?

[19:05] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent.

Open Discussion

[19:05] Aryte Vesperia: Open floor. Any topics to bring up?

[19:05] ZeroNightmare Kaventipovic rasies his paw

[19:05] Aryte Vesperia: Kaventipovic?

[19:06] ZeroNightmare Kaventipovic: Was the new exams for promotions put up and ready for us to jrump in and do them

[19:07] Aryte Vesperia points at Firefox.

[19:07] ZeroNightmare Kaventipovic stares at firefox

[19:07] FireFox Breed: It will be done by monday

[19:07] Sesshomaru Kozlov glares at firefox

[19:07] Aryte Vesperia: :D

[19:07] FireFox Breed: I have the froems made. I need to make the tables and the system for it

[19:07] Aryte Vesperia: Thanks.

[19:08] Aryte Vesperia: Next topic/question?

[19:09] Aryte Vesperia: Last call.

[19:10] Aryte Vesperia: Oookay then!
