Tamos, your preaching to the choir.
As I see it, having some kind of bushido among all the military groups within the SLMC community isnt going to ever fully and truely work because of two major problems.
1. Its SL. No im not being a pessimistic smartass this time, but you got people developing Weapons of Mass Fffftardation and people encouraging or standard issuing them.
2. Its still SL. Also Still trying not to be a smartass, but there will always be a large number of people who decide just not to follow gridwide regulation, because there wont be enough people to provide a negative to those who decide not to. I mean we had IS and ANVIL just before. They sure are going strong nowdays arent they?
Its sort of a quasi sort of commentary on anarchism. How do you, or, how could you enforce regulation across such a wide array of factions within the SLMC that are all based on "voluntary decisions" who all have rivaling opinions of each other? Could it be enforced by the actual militaries themselves? Wouldnt that spark debates of bias? Maybe a much larger yet neutral group to oversee "rules of warfare" like some SL variant of the UN(God help us)? But again, who all would listen? Especially factions out there that know they've been chastised all across the road, what would encourage them to follow? Finally be respected? How much is that worth to say, Vanguard, whos still made it this far although blocked by every other military.
In a typical FPS game, you had to adhere to the assigned weapons, how they function...all of that written in and solid. Unless of course you did some hackwork. Breaking the rules would get you removed from the server, and nowdays consistantly doing it removes your IP from most games. In SL...Linden Labs dosent give a shit if you wireframe, or shoot through prims, or use like 9,001 firecores with a nuclear underslung.
Granted ive been up since 9am yesterday and probably just attempting to make sense with all that...probably the case, and ill accept. Yet really, if you want to enforce the Anti-Fffftard Laws of Common Combat, you have to have everyone onboard. If one military is blocked by another for bullshit, everyone will have to follow. You have to deny alternatives. "Oh, Ordo blockaided us, but we still have everyone else here open for fighting". The community has to deny itself to the blockaided army fully or atleast to a real extent for them to be truely encouraged to change their ways.
Or start sending envoys out, even to blockaided militaries, discussing these concerns and get a more up to date stance on how everyones mentality is at this point. Hell, back in the day there was whole conferences where leaders of militaries showed up in person. Who all do you gotta harass to get one of those started again? Might we worth it, atleast itd be a boon to the beacon of our values that we strive for the community to see from us.

Im all about seeing a Teutonic presence in M&B besides just the wing helmet, hows it run on your machine? I got a snazzy new PC with the ram and processor, just stuck on an onboard vid card atm, runs warband nicely but I got a feeling Floris even on the basic version might stress it.

ive blown so much time on Mount and Blade games, buddy just got the Fire and Sword version.
Not really sure if im going to grab it too, it feels like because it follows history all the officially declared faction wars will be almost always pre-determined, like Poland will always fight the Cossacks.
But then again, thats only from maybe an hour of play. Im hoping it's randomized still like the earlier m&b games, if so ill go ahead and throw down some money for it.

Enough of the pew pew? Besides that lingo sounding like you sprinkle when you tinkle, you need to show up on Off days when we lock the sim. Usually races are had, someone hands out Spellfire huds with freebie weps, as Xoza said there is hyberball, sometimes someone drops a table of dice or poker, etc, etc
Aside from that, theres -never- enough "pew pew" going on.

usually at the time I usally log in to be at titan, its either nobody up for it or active, or that problem is on the opposing force's side.
Its kinda what happens typically and its to be expected. Ill usually pick a small few and encamp some sniper teams within new jessie during low population till titan gets messed with. Just a little alternative.

Is Fire and Sword any better than Warband? I mean despite the obvious differences like ancient hand grenades and powder weapons.

Its still an SoE game, and I'm sure most of us know more then enough about them.
They added the ability lock vehicle/aircraft doors when you parked them. Myself coming from the Battlefield series, I have alot of love to give.

I love mediterrian dishes, italian, etc.
I dont go out to dinner for it though cause the shits rediculously expensive and you only get a piss ant little plate of it what you ordered. So I usually just make it at home, and resize the proportions for an adult male.
but for the most part, pizzas, burgers, chinese buffets, any type of seafood except crabs (Im not eating whats basically an armor plated spider with claws, gtfo) or some funky ass octopus. I have my favorites but not a conissour of anything either.

everything else looks like the superhero milking cow at work, semi generic sequels and movies that look like they're gonna fall into the "Movie that sucked but everyone around me wont stop talking about it" category.

All these comments and after myself and a few others talked with you a few nights about how your military prepwork and service, Ordo would be still well enough manageable =especially= with C Reservists. Grandly though, It is your decision and its to be respected, fair winds and peaceful travels, stay safe and serve your countrymen proud in the coming months! *Salutes*

I had taken a real one at a tech center during my IT stint.
was about a 2hr long test with a 11page result.
Called the Insight Spectrum Survey
18% Organizing
25% Relating
28% Thinking
29% Acting
So im somewhat right there middled with everything, each result had its own explaination and like some description. It was pretty intriguing reading up on all the pages and kinda sitting going "yeah...sounds about like me". Impressed me enough to key it out in a notecard to hand out to freinds. Just when I get around to remembering to finish it
