  11. ~ORDO IMPERIALIS~ OFFICIAL DOCUMENT <=====================Extend to this length=========================> <===========================================================> **********Meeting Report********** NAME/RANK/DIVISION: Karlhockey Forte / P-3 / Praetorian guard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DATE: 31JUL10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SUBJECT: General discussion; diplomacy, developments, reminders. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SUMMARY: Forums, UCA, Raids, Activity, Chronus, Unlocks,Civilians ============================================================ CHAT LOG: Meeting Opener [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: All right, let's get started. We still have a team out defendin'. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Obligatory starter: Good evening everyone and welcome to this week’s meeting. Per the norm, please be certain to hold all questions and comments until provided the opportunity to speak. Interruptions will result in dismissal from the gathering. When you are provided the chance to speak, be sure to /shout/ your comments or questions—otherwise the recorder may not hear you. Thank you: let’s get to it. [18:05] Typhon Perun: Yes sir, and there's some oddity going on with that, trying to figure it out. Imperator's Report [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: To begin, this weeks statistics: [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Members: 309 Cadets: Applications New: 14 Accepted: 7 Denied: 5 Review: 2 Combat Defensive: 70 Offensive: 20 Allied Assist: 6 [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: (Twenty offensive deployments-- very awesome.) Diplomatic Report [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic events to note this week: foremost, the visitation of VAC. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: As most of you have likely noticed, VAC has been spending some time here regularly over the last couple of days We can expect them here going forward for the next week or two. This is a prime opportunity for us to build relationships with their organization. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Their region is currently down for rebuilding-- we've permitted them to use our base to participate in defensive combat. They will presumably return to a normal hostile status after this bout. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: In addition: the Iron Symphony is expected to sign EE as a member within the coming days. VAC is also eyeing the prospect. Even more, I learned earlier today that Crysis is requesting review for it. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Entrance to the IS will not remove these groups from our combat targets-- the IS is not an alliance. Simply, we happen to be allied with multiple IS groups. So be careful not to confuse that. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: This is an exciting time for the IS. We've weathered a storm-- a period in which the Mercz and Ordo alone stood up against the TAC, now we're quickly becoming larger in group membership then TAC is. Divisional Reports [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports? [18:11] WolfShaman Warrior raises his hand. [18:12] Zerowinged Vasiliev raises his hand. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Warrior? Astra [18:12] WolfShaman Warrior shouts: It has been a Good week for Astra. The Tactical Squadron has been fortified by returning Vets and New pilots alike. Offensive Air Combat has increased greatly thanks to Air Raid authority being given to Astra Officers, with feedback from opposing AD being quite positive as well. Flight Leaders wishing to take their flights out for Air Combat, Please feel free to talk to one of us. Special Thanks to Numinous Foxdale, Crash Silverfall, and Drasamax Python for leading Air Raids this week. Official Astra Project Thread has been put up. If you are wondering the status, scope, and priority of current Astra projects, Please take a look here: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/9032-astra-project-list-status-and-priority/page__pid__66781#entry66781 (good stuff) And Finally, Ethan will be scheduling an Astra Officer meeting soon, So please be sure to prepare topics to discuss ahead of time. Flight leads, If you have something you'd like addressed, Please Drop me a notecard. [18:12] WolfShaman Warrior shouts: This has been "This Week in Astra!" [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, Mr. Warrior. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Vasiliev? Terra [18:13] Zerowinged Vasiliev shouts: Unfortunatly, Lestat Umarov was not able to make it to the meeting this week due to a slight illness. With that said - the weekly report... [18:13] Zerowinged Vasiliev shouts: Keller Teichmann for Invictus: "A solid week of activity - the squad took part in many raids over the course of the week and continued to make use of the Killhouse for one-on-one skirmishing and training. Our roster still has two vacancies, which we are taking our time filling - I'm in the process of contacting candidates and gauging their interest, myself." [18:13] Zerowinged Vasiliev shouts: Zrazor Rozenstrauch for Insidiae: "The squad doctrine codex is coming along nicely, and has reached somewhere around 70% completion. It thus far covers basic policy and a revamped training regimen. I expect to have it finished by the time I return from Chicago. Additionally, Insidiae is in the process of acquiring a fourth group pool item into its armory, an as-of-yet unnamed sniper rifle. The squad still has four slots open and is actively pursuing recruitment." [18:13] Zerowinged Vasiliev shouts: Corsi Mousehold for Antesignani: "Another active week. Raid and defense training held this week. Lots of members on raids as well. Anly's got the MGL in her hands to work out the last final stages of detail and Ethan will be scripting it. Again in still have two slots open in the squad so if you want to try and apply, please speak with Zerowinged Vasiliev the CO or Corsi Mousehold the XO." [18:13] Zerowinged Vasiliev shouts: and thatguy Andel for Cohors B: "With new additions, and the Cohors /204020 bar inactives officially moved out to C, we've been picking up on activity. Squad trainings, raids, and meets are being held, as well as more members to Ordo. We have a few events planned next week such as Century trainings. Looking forward to more activity, and a better week ahead of us." [18:13] Zerowinged Vasiliev shouts: This concludes Terra's report for the week. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, Mr. Vasiliev.[18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Do any other divisions wish to report this evening? [18:14] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: :V [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Gregoire? Munitorum [18:15] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: (I had to remember what Shout was.) Hi, making this up on the fly, so it may be horribly incoherent. Munitorum! Work on the database continues to grind away as Niiya and Nikki do that thing they do. We started a fancy group for it TOI - Mars Project (check profiles) for people whom you can bother about it specifically. [18:16] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: Also, I've enlisted (conscripted) Agares to help me get those damn lockers done I said would be done forever ago. Example here: http://a.imageshack.us/img412/2002/lockertest002.png (May not be exactly as shown.) [18:17] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: In other news, Astra might finally get a new gun soon, as Scarlet is pretty awesome and a cool guy who doesn't afraid of anything. Look: http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/2884/workprogress.png He's working right now so don't disturb him or I kill you. [18:17] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: (I mean it.) [18:18] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: Keller's still making those fancy caseless guns half of you have played with already, keep trying to break them if you have them. [18:18] Anlysia Gregoire shouts: That's about all I can think of right now. So yeah. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, Ms. Gregoire. To add, Mr. Bolden is in the closing stages of completing an MTAR for the armory. Excited for that as well. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports? [18:20] Ron Bleac raises hand. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Bleac? Tactica [18:21] Ron Bleac shouts: Tactica is rolling like a T-72 on Afghan desert floor. So. Pretty well, I suppose. We're coming up on some major changes shortly here. We've welcomed four new guys this week, they know who they are! Congrats to you guys. That is all. [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Final call. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Very good then, moving right along. I have several topics to touch on today. Keynote Topics [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: To begin with: keeping up with the forums. Consider this a quasi-public service announcement, hah. Keeping up with the forums is something I would really implore everyone to do-- now, I certainly do not expect folks to be as, well, fanatical as myself in checking it, but once a day would really be a good idea. do not expect folks to be as, well, fanatical as myself in checking it, but once a day would really be a good idea. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: It's extremely easy to browse over topics for anything important by simply clicking on the "View New Content" tab on the upper right hand (on most skins). [18:25] Anlysia Gregoire: (A couple of the skins are slightly broke, Intus is working on getting updates.) [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Do what I do-- clear the posts daily, that way you can catch anything new that drops in. As a rule of thumb, stuff posted in the "Policy" forum area is usually "important." [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: To encourage folks, I am going to start doing something sort of devious: posting little comments imbedded into my posts, which can be redeemed for prizes. [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: Questions t here? [18:27] Anlysia Gregoire: Cash prizes? [18:27] josey Bingyi waves around like a fool? [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Bingyi? [18:28] josey Bingyi: Will you imbed the comments in the pirvate foums? :3 [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: That's a silly question. [18:28] josey Bingyi: daww [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Moving on. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: UCA release earlier this week. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: As far as I have heard, initial reaction has been pretty good. Some complaints have been mentioned about difficulty in sizing/attaching the digi-legs. Otherwise, some difficulty is also noted with smaller avatars having to detach certain pieces to size the armor to fit. [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: Overall, I am very pleased with the gear and the response provided. Once Disembodied Hand returns from moving in the next couple of days, he will be providing me the new "backpack" options-- an assault, engineer, and communications pack. Each will be rolled into the armory as unlock opportunities / alternatives for the jetpack. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: The assault pack will serve as a dodge roller platform. The engineer, will provided buildable options-- such as minefields, more elaborate barriers, and armored turrets. Eventually, repairing armor will be included. The communications pack will serve as a laser designation platform, along with some limited artillery roles. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: After the packs, we'll begin working on the variants for the individual units. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Questions there? [18:35] Kiyaru Kanto raises hand [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Kanto? [18:36] Kiyaru Kanto: What kind of variants could we expect for the individual units, and more specifically what units? [18:36] Anlysia Gregoire: (I have the one backpack on now, if you haven't seen Disembodied wearing it yet.) [18:37] Vilkacis Mason raises a hand. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Modular additions for all of the Terra elite units, Guard, Apostles, so on and so forth. Each will have a fitting variant to their specific divisional role-- Antesignani, for example, will wear heavier armor, to give better portrayal of being the support unit. Insidiae will wear lighter variants, with shrouds, etc. [18:38] Aryte Vesperia: Mason? [18:39] Vilkacis Mason: We have until the 14th to fit the new armor, right? I am interpretting announcements and want to make sure I understand the timeline. [18:39] Aryte Vesperia: Aye, that'd be preferable. I won't murder you if you can't meet the deadline. [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: Any other questions before we move on? [18:40] Vilkacis Mason: It fits my schedule fine, unless/until I'm lazy. [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: Very good. [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: Movin' on. [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: Combat over this last week: major kudos. Twenty raids in a week is an impressive feat, especially when I literally was involved in leading . . only one of 'em. I appreciate my raid leaders and officers for stepping up there. It's great to see us on the field more often. [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: It's been an excellent opportunity to really project the group more, while providing me more time to focus on internal development. It takes a lot of stress off me: so again, thank you. [18:43] Aryte Vesperia: I was told that apparently I do not raid enough anymore. I will remedy that, ha ha. Thank you for missing my presence. I'll do my best to host a few expeditions personally each week. [18:44] Aryte Vesperia: On that note-- tomorrow, I will be hosting something a bit different. At 5:00 PM, I will be giving a course on raid leadership fundamentals. I would highly encourage officers and my senior NCOs to join in. [18:44] Aryte Vesperia: Officers, it'll be a refresher: it is mostly based upon the seminar courses I wrote for you months back. [18:45] Aryte Vesperia: Those who are not among the senior NCO levels, you are still welcome to sit in. I certainly have no issue with that. It will be a formal gathering. You can expect it to last at least an hour. Possibly two. [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Questions? [18:46] Steeltael Lykin raises paw [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Yes, Mr. Lykin? [18:46] Steeltael Lykin shouts: What, if any would be a minimum rank requirement to sit in or attend? [18:47] Aryte Vesperia: Well . . originally I intended it to be a "sign up," but it will essentially be mostly lecture. Ergo, everyone is welcome. [18:47] Aryte Vesperia: Any other questions? [18:47] Steeltael Lykin: Thank you Sir. [18:48] Kiyaru Kanto raises hand again [18:48] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Kanto? [18:48] Kiyaru Kanto: Would there be the possibility for it to be documented and posted on the forums (if there weren't already plans for that) For mostly the european foke like myself, There's hardly anyway I can stay up that late on a sunday, Yet I'd still like to review the information [18:49] Aryte Vesperia: Certainly. Or I can do a early morning one for those in that timezone. [18:49] Kiyaru Kanto: whatever suits you best it would be appreciated [18:50] Aryte Vesperia: In person may be better, that way we can interact and talk. So on and so forth! [18:50] Aryte Vesperia: Movin' on: [18:52] Aryte Vesperia: A comment to be made on activity: overall, the Ordo's participation level continues to raise. Our roster numbers are remaining stable, per an earlier plan to keep close to 300. However, folks who've dropped off the map entirely are slowly being nudged to clear up fluff. [18:54] Aryte Vesperia: On average, we're looking at about thirty folks on map. This creates two problems. First of which . . well, we're not a very appealing target to most folks, regardless of the sim design or set up. Although we still get challenged from time to time, it is important to realize our numerical advantage really puts a hamper on that. That's where Chronus will come in: we'll deploy smaller teams and invite smaller armies over to tango with us there. [18:55] Aryte Vesperia: Secondly, the more folks we cram together and force to interact, the more likely conflict is to occur. Although . . in honesty, complaints and issues are extremely low recently, I do want to give warning that increased interaction definitely increases the opportunity for trouble. [18:56] Aryte Vesperia: So please just be mindful of others and their right to be here, as much as they should be mindful of your right to be here. Respect everyone and keep things calm. The more positive and appealing the atmosphere is and remains, the better we will continue to do. Doin' a great job as is: so, stay the course. [18:57] Aryte Vesperia: Any questions? [18:57] Steeltael Lykin raises paw [18:57] Aryte Vesperia: Surprise. [18:57] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Lykin? [18:59] Steeltael Lykin: I have a comment., Regarding Chronus, Something a little different is in the works, A multiple objective map, with a variety of ranged, and close quarters combat. If anyone want's to make any suggestions or comments about features they'd like to see. Please let me know, While I'm not in "charge" I'm working with the sim design and my concern is balance and fun. [19:00] Aryte Vesperia nodnods. "Thank you." 19:00] Aryte Vesperia: Any final questions? [19:01] Maza Rau raises his hand [19:01] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Rau. [19:01] Maza Rau: Any outlook on how chronus will play into titan? [19:01] Aryte Vesperia: The "objective" system we mentioned a month or so ago-- where capturing Chronus will aide enemies in enaging us in Titan-- will come into play with the deployment of the new permanent build for Titan. [19:02] Steeltael Lykin raises paw [19:02] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Lykin? [19:02] Steeltael Lykin: If you want more information on specific objectives, Feel free to bug me! [19:02] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. [19:03] Aryte Vesperia: Very good then. Let's see here . . checklist, hm. This weekend I will be working on attempting to get the unlock system revisions in place. [19:04] Xayvien Rau cries. [19:04] Aryte Vesperia: Otherwise, the civilian group overhaul is basically complete. I've placed it in Crash Silverfall's capable hands. [19:04] Crash Silverfall raises hand for that :D [19:04] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Silverfall. Go ahead. [19:04] zanndor Aeon: (Oh joy) [19:04] Crash Silverfall: (damn you zanndor) First I hope to see teh CDF (new role) up and running this coming week [19:05] Crash Silverfall: I've made a few Topics for you all to check out, http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/9043-ordo-civilian-group/ [19:05] Crash Silverfall: And as last: if you ever vouched for somebody to become a civilian, please send a note card to me with your name and the name of the civilian (this should be written somewhere) [19:05] Crash Silverfall: That is all [19:06] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you, Mr. Silverfall. Promotions [19:07] Aryte Vesperia: On that note: promotions will be posted later this evenin', or, failing that, tomorrow morning. Feel free to drop me any additional recommendations until then. PRFs on the server will also be accounted for up until that time, so feel free to squeeze any additional in Meeting Closer [19:07] Aryte Vesperia: I will host tonight's raid personally. In abooout thirty minutes. Ish. [19:07] zanndor Aeon: Hi5! [19:07] Aryte Vesperia: Having said all that. Good meeting. Dismissed. Run along. Reboot and such if you need to.
  12. This one made me shiver, a lot.
  13. Ron, in his developement of more powerful weapons, intergrated a lascannon into a monocle. This was quickly scraped due to each time he winked at someone, they would be quickly turned to ash.
  14. Ethan has been in the combat arena for so long, that the popgun would look at him and go "wow that dude is olllld"
  15. [16:38] zanndor Aeon: WHAT I DO? [16:38] Karlhockey Forte: EVERYTHING [16:38] zanndor Aeon: :< [16:38] Karlhockey Forte pins a medal on your chest [16:38] zanndor Aeon: Ow [16:38] Karlhockey Forte: "I did everything" pin [16:39] zanndor Aeon: My... My Ordo Career is completed
  16. All merits and ranks have been submited to the database. Congratulations
  17. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a very much amazing. Having watched both, the newer one over the orignal is without a doubt my pick.
  18. During Arokh's enlistment in the ordo, the first weapon given to him was a 105mm cannon, to which he looked at and responded "Why was I given this peashooter?"
  19. Yes, and I watch over every auth, gun and planes, and will send out warnings.
