  1. I'm basing a character of the RP behind my own character for you.

My favourite character in stories and also the RP i have behind my own character or at least aspire to have is the calm and very experienced officer that doesn't prefer to be loudmouth about his accomplishments but only hopes that the war will eventually end and that none of his subordinates will have to go through what he had to go through in his youth. He doesn't talk about the past, not the dark and not the good parts. He is a sort of father figure for his men and there is a slightly mysterious cloud among him that deserves respect. He can be as well deadly as caring. No one really knows what he has been through people can only assume that something dramatically has happened that has resulted in him dedicating all his life and experience to the service of the imperator to get his revenge for something that is completely unkown to his comrades and subordinates.

Well as a dramatical event that not necesarrily applies to my character is that his wife and son/daughter got killed in the first large grid war. This filled him with the thirst for revenge. He signed up for the Ordo ,with no other goal in his life to serve the imperator and eventually bring justice to the ones that took his loved ones. He has served with the Ordo for many years and has climbed up through the ranks to eventually becoming Centurion ( based off my character again). The men serving under his command remind him of the age his son was when he got killed and while he can't really prevent them from going in to the battle he cares a great bit about them. He is extra harsh on training them because he knows that their superiority on the battlefield is the only way to survive.

This summarizes the RP behind my character Kristian Kit

Whether i've succeeded in that RP is a totally different thing.

  2. I wonder who the example for the evil centurion was.

This is a great story so far Silver. Keep up the good work!

Also, the name cobalt is also the name of someone that got ejected from ordo because of a little incident once but that's me being knit picky for the sake of having to find something to comment on. I love it so far.

  3. I feel you there i really do but this is raising a couple of problems. First and foremost the fact that you may not always have astra or navis members around. This would mean that a certain load of cadets cannot be trained or will be trained differently than the others. Well this is a minor concern. My major concern is that it also means that the instructor basically says "i am not infomed enough to do my job" and he gets someone else to talk about it. This doesn't make the instructor look very good and consider the fact that he doesn't have to go in the smallest detail about a division. The final outline will be created with the input of all the branches. The instructors will have knowledge of everything to a certain extend. As soon as someone asks, with how much degrees does the angle of the praeda rotate when i move with 120km per second then you can off course ask an astra to anwser all this persons questions in private ( after class that is ).

  4. In fact. It does include the Schola cap. For the same reason as you can't wear them in college or university classroom. Well about the Navis and Astra instructors diablos is probably right to some extend but that would only matter if phases would be conducted by 3 instructors, a representative of each division. But phases are hosted by one instructor and they are always part of one of the 3 divisions so you will always have a slightly influenced instructor and it doesn't really matter if that is a Terra or an Navis instructor. I will make an Walkthrough chat myself and the instructor training is part of this whole revision. Making sure that instructors are informed properly about the divisions should sort out that problem.

I still have to discuss if this should be mandatory but i also prefer Instructors to wear the Class-A Regalia when giving class to seem neutral.

  5. Yeah right, i'le wave goodbye to you next week.

I probably could say welcome but since i see you every morning in RL and yell at you about your inactivity on every occasion i get i will save you that detail.

  6. Maybe people should know what they are getting in to before they aspire to become officer. Off course it sounds nice and all but you are also a glorified public servant and your workload will never be the same again. There is a reason some officers request demotiion. On the other hand, if you are fit for it ,it is probably one of the best jobs there is.

  7. Yeah, i ment sunglasses so that will be changed.

Well about it being easy to get in Ordo. That is not quite the case. We Denied 200 applications since last october and for someone deemed satisfactory it may seem easy to get in Schola but often those people don't know that 3 recruiters and probably the imperator have looked at the their application and sometimes Curia as well. When we want you to be we us everything is easy like with gulliver, when we don't you soon find out how "easy"it is to get in.

Thanks for that suggestion btw, agares.

  8. Instructors, do not use this outline. It is a BETA DISCUSSION THREAD.

Okay i've been assigned to completely revise the schola training as we have it at this time. Building it back up from scratch and i've finished a rough draft for what i like to have as the first 2 phases. I added a short note at the bottom of a really rough ( no seriously ROUGH) draft of what the other phases should look like but as long as this is in its childsteps i wanted to know if anyone has comments, suggestions or things that they want to have added. All of you have been in schola and unless you have been sleeping your way through with a buddy giving you the anwser module's for the exams you probably have comments .

Some suggestions i already took in consideration:

-Extended information on branches, a complete phase is dedicated to it and i am still figuring out if i want a sort of exam that determines what branch you should be in , as an advice just like the things you do in college to determine what study fits you.

-Communications, including Forum, Database, Ventrillo, Approaching civilians and visitors

-Advanced Combat, learning people stuff about the advanced menu's beacons, altcams and things like that

On top of that, Schola will be MUCH harder to pass from now on. There will be more exams, more open questions that requiry clarification and for all members of my staff i will have a nasty suprise when this is done" Magister Training".

    okay opinions please..

This is by no means a complete outline but this is the rough draft of what it is going to look like. It is the bare skeleton. I need to add all the exams , walkthrough chats, and information into it but this is what it is going to look like.

Phase 1 and 2 worked out, phase 3,4,5 in progress. Basic information about those phases can be found at the bottom of this document

  9. Haha, i saw that one coming. Aside from the things aryte named as things that make a praetorian is there something else that all praetorians seem to have in common. Most if not all of them are responsible for creating our gear , weaponry or technology or in eazy's case our 2nd sim. This in combination with the praetorian requirements named by aryte and the handbook brings praetorians to a higher level. So this was truely deserved. Congratulations syl :D

  10. I had a talk with Nicole linden the other day. They considered extending the attachement spot list once including seperate finger attachement spots. Thank god they didn't do that. It would allowed them to wear a minigun at every finger + one in each hand and forearms

  11. I voted for going with the old option. I tend to recognize people from their bullet color and when i see all colors of the rainbow zipping trough the sky it will get kinda hard. I also have my doubts about changeable colors from the uniformity that a military should have perspective .

  12. Congratulations to you both. I'm pretty much damm sure that both of you will do epic in your new roles.

    * steals intus's silver daggers and gives them to aelus*

*looks at aelus's tabard but then remembers the rumors about praetorian being naked under the tabard*

*steals the tabard anyway and gives it to intus*

  13. They have only 9 members, recruitment and high command included.

That less than the amount of Schola instructors we have.

Also herbert is going to give everyone in his military all the gear. So every unit is a pilot and infantry. This is because as he claims "they are elite and skilled in many things". I call it , being to small and stupid to organize divisions.
