  1. [17:58] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Meeting start. As a reminder: all questions, comments (etc) are to be held until given the opportunity to speak. When that opportunity is provided, be sure to raise your hands. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the meeting. [17:59] Aryte Vesperia: Statistics Members: 314 Cadets: 7 Applications New: 10 Accepted: 1 Denied:7 Review: 2 Combat Defensive: 101 Offensive: 20 Allied Assist: 0 [17:59] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic notes for this week: overall, a fair increase in activity across the grid. There have been multiple, sizeable combat interactions—as it stands, it is looking like AN has won the award for being the most entertaining to assault. Their “no holds bar” attitude and use of nuclear weapons always makes me giggle in mirth when we’re bombing them from orbit. [18:00] Aryte Vesperia: Erebus and Ordo are going to attempt to have a skirmishes—as their region is a homestead, we will focus on doing organized combat events, where half their force assaults here and half assaults there. Otherwise, it simply won’t be feasible: their region can only house 20 people. Erebus stands to be a fun combat zone, but their activity times are varied—we’ll do what we can. [18:00] Aryte Vesperia: Unit reports this evening? [18:00] Hollowmengitus Yifu raises FIST. [18:00] Jeffery Worbridge: unf. [18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Yifu? [18:01] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: /b/: Nothing special this week minus the sit down and Aryte interrogates you for asking him questions evening yesterday. Raid attendance is pretty sturdy with small trainings here and there. As always I just want to say if you have any questions just feel free to poke me (unless you are mark) about any concerns or more insight for some of you about alpha centuries. Final note here make sure you are asking for prfs from your COs especially if you are new, noticing some of you guys haven’t had a single one filed which means no qp :<. [18:02] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: Praescius: Been quite interesting week, Praescius started to join training with A-5 thanks to stirn letting us part take on his session. Also lauched our first official A-4 raid as a group to Raven raiders. Armor concept is coming along thanks to Tiridates Mikadze. We still have more room within A-4 contact Ookamiwulf Lemton, Kyra Vixen or Keller Teichmann. <((_((crayola((_(() [18:02] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: Saevitas: Another great week for A-5. Trainings have kicked off again and are better than ever, almost always including a mix match of the other Centuries and Cohors. Raids have also begun to pick up once more, overall it's been an active week for Saevitas. [18:04] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: That Gay Invictus Squad: This week in Invictus our members noticed a 99.9% decrease of being syrupt from kiwi since his advancement! Overall it was a slow but definitely steady week with our raid counts but this coming week there will be an increased amount of opportunities to participate if feel the urge to kill more things so keep an eye out for notices, group chat or just be in the general vicinity of the station for announcements. Finally I have this funny feeling that Aryte may talk about a yearly group picture being taken on Sunday, I know this sounds farfetched, so make sure you get your formals fitted proper (in other words I will be checking Sunday prior to make sure your formals are correctly fitted) in the event for some reason we do have a photo taken. Hollow: This is the gayest report I have ever read, due to the first sentence. [18:05] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: Evalidus: Squad activity has been a little bit low this week. Usually we would offer cookies but in this case we offer broccoli and peanuts until we rise again. Also, Evalidus would like to welcome our newest member Frisk Yifu to our squad and hope everything good for him ! Keep your eyes open for notices and possible snatchs since we still have undefined squad meeting coming up. We are never gonna give you up and never gonna let you down ! [18:06] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: Insidiae: Lanny Ansar has joined the squad. He came over from Astra specifically to be a cool kid with us. Also, Bracket Crowley is the squad's Standard Bearer. This role holds great honor, and he'll take Insidiae's colors into battle whenever he's present. When we have a banner. :l Still working on it, but the role is created. We're still looking for more fresh blood, so talk to either Krow Ames or Afevis Sodertelge to join. :D [18:07] Hollowmengitus Yifu: Also, Terra Staff: Meeting tomorrow. Check Terra notices. Notify me if you cannot make it, please. [18:07] Hollowmengitus Yifu: that's all for terra. [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: Next? [18:08] Ethan Schuman raises his hand for Astra. [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman. [18:08] Ethan Schuman shouts: I'm going to start off our weekly report with... fleet ships! Our beloved Imperator here has expressed a desire for us to field a navy again, so we'll proceeding with the design and production of them in the near future. There are currently three proposed classes of ships: frigates, cruisers, and battleships. Aryte has a plan (he's a cylon!) on how he wants to name them, but as that may change, I'll stay quiet about it for now. I will, however, say that each ship will be unique and commissioned with its own name. We (probably) won't be doing general issue ships. They'll be a big deal, so that translates to lots of QP/participation to get. I advise anyone interested to start saving now, and remember... they're only available to Astra (so get your transfer forms in now. ;) ). [18:08] Ethan Schuman shouts: In other news, we've had some pretty decent news on the foreign front. Talks with AN happened. In addition to his general badassery at running Palaestra, Sebris has been in contact with 2142 and some other people. When Ratchet gets his internet fixed, we'll be hosting that event we had to reschedule when his internet went down. In the meantime, flights will continue their standard exercises and such. Things seem good for both Aquila and Reapers, with decent activity. As always, event hosting isn't limited to flight leaders. If you have something you want to know, just tell someone and we'll be happy to help. [18:08] Ethan Schuman shouts: Lastly, welcome back, Nrom. It's good to see you again. [18:08] Ethan Schuman shouts: ...woah, hey. I remembered to shout this week. That's all from us. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Additional reports? [18:09] Drasamax Python raises hand for IEA. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Python. [18:09] Drasamax Python shouts: From myself for The Imperial Education Administration: Not too many Schola classes this week again but there was a lot of Armatura classes almost if not all of them were held by Mikeo Amiot once again, so kudos to him for doing that. Reports turned in too. [18:10] Drasamax Python shouts: We got some Schola/Armatura Magister applications recently so if we have not gotten back to those of you who submitted them we are probably still working on processing them or trying to find open spaces. [18:10] Drasamax Python shouts: The NCO-A Academy Magister Application is still up under the "IEA Staff" section of the forums for current Magisters intrested in teaching the NCO-A. Not many applied so far so I'm hoping to see some more faces before we move on to the next step with it which is probably soon. http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php/topic/14184-iea-nco-a-academy-application/ [18:10] Drasamax Python shouts: And finally Schola/Armatura Magister Application found here: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/13701-iea-scholaarmatura-recruitment-application/ That is all from the Imperial Education Administration. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Any final reports? [18:12] Acheron Gloom raises his huttser paw. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Gloom. [18:12] Acheron Gloom shouts: Tactica did great this week, excelling in multiple areas. Reports were filed, rules were updated - everything in order down at the raid board. [18:13] Acheron Gloom shouts: Currently efforts are being directed toward multiple projects intended to improve how useful Tactica reports are to both raid leaders and raiders. Restructuring of the report system, possibly a few tools to aid in leading raids, and a new raid board are in the works. [18:13] Acheron Gloom shouts: Additionaly Tactica continues to accept applications, so if you are interested check out this thread: />http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php/topic/8814-applying-look-here/ [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. Final call for reports. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Moving right along. [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: First up: [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: > Thanks. :] [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you to everyone who participated in the meet/greet yesterday. I had a lot of fun. It was amusing to see the questions that came and the answers that folks gave. We will definitely do that again! [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: > Development [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Development, development. Always happy news in this department! First off: the Autocrat (Tyrant variant) has received strong reports in the beta stage and will be pending release. The weapon has performed excellent in both defense and offensive roles. The flak is extremely potent: we swatted AN’s air force out of the sky during an assault on Cabaret. To avoid abuse, the flak rounds have a distinctive color and are not to be deployed against ground targets. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Titan Industries has a new item pending release: the C-14 Gauss Rifle. The C-14 is a cousin to the C-20—not as many bells and whistles, but it’s a workhorse. It is essentially our take on the basic Terran assault rifle, including a stimpack option. Haha. It will be available in the near future. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Our new gunship is coming along nicely. It has been formally dubbed the “Malice class.” We are looking to see a completed model by the month’s end, if all continues on schedule. After the Malice is complete, Disembodied will be hammering out a couple quick projects (armor add ons, etc), before moving on to armor variants and meshing out the first of our new fleet vessels. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: If and when mesh goes live, we will be pursuing a two to three class of fleet grade vessels: frigates, cruisers, and dreadnaughts. Each fleet ship will be individually named, with proper christening and designation. They will serve as unique elements of the Ordo’s arsenal. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: HUD: all pieces complete. Anlysia is compiling it. It will be in release stages in the near future. Yay. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: > Forums [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: The forums underwent a security and software update this week. The overall speed and functionality has increased significantly. Intus is hard at work installing the new skins and displays for folks. Please bear with us and deal with the white background (if it isn’t your usual, hah) for the time being.. [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: As a side note: please do make it a habit to check the forums semi-routinely. There is always a lot of important information placed there. We use the forums over group notices. So our day to day announcements, sign ups, etc are all typically on the forums. Group notices are reserved for special matters. [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: The best way to keep on top of the forums is simply click “view new content,” browse through the topics you want, then “mark all read.” Even if you miss a hot topic, it’ll pop back up the next day from replies. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Use and abuse the forums: there is a section for everyone and everything. Especially the policy area! The Ordo is a living group—our handbook is our foundation. Superseding or new policy always go into the “policy” area. [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: TO ADD: [2011/07/30 18:22] DaveyDarkStrider Oh: Could you mention that with Kyra being out of action, any tactica/sim rule updates are usually best found on the forums :o [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: > Recruitment [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: IEA is hard at work processing cadets. For the first time in a long while, the queue is relatively clear. Now is a great time to tug any friends or acquaintances who have been pondering the Ordo—the turn around on their Schola and Armatura should be rather short. [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: If anyone you know does apply be sure they add your name to their application as a voucher: it dramatically increases their chance of acceptance. Our recruitment standards put a lot of investment upon resources and testimony from existing members on their conduct. [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: As a side note: if you /have/ recruited someone and they have passed Schola, be sure I am aware. You are eligible for the Recruitment merit and some QP. [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: > Group Photo / Day Off [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Tomorrow is our monthly day off. We will use it as an opportunity to relax and have some light hearted fun. The scheduled matters that /are/ occurring are as follows: [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: 1:00 PM: Group Photo – Formal Dress Expected 2:00 PM: Officer Meeting [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: The rest of the day is open. We will likely host a few random trainings—I personally will be doing a musket/melee battle for giggles. You are all more than welcome to participate. Otherwise, we will likely have some board games out and random events throughout the day. Casual dress, aside from the group photo, is quite OK. [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: The group photo will begin promptly at 1:00—we will have the stands set up this evening and the area outlined. We typically pull up to 70 people for each photo: expect it to be pretty laggy. I recommend you turn your graphics and such down ahead of time. I will be taking high-res photographs on my other desktop, as will other folks. [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: > Keynote [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: Tonight I would like to speak in regard the Ordo, our structure, and the growing pool of experienced personnel—specifically, the increasing number of OCA applicants and officer qualified individuals. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: To our credit: the Ordo has the luxury of having a strong supply of qualified individuals to perform the role of officer. This is, for the most part, only a benefit. The down side to it comes in the way of perceived stagnation and the time by which it takes to appoint an officer. Officer roles are exclusive to the availability of positions—they are regulated specifically to a ratio, with the intent not to exceed more than 15% of the group ranking in the administratio. [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: As such, officer roles only open when our numbers increase, an officer retires, or an officer steps down. As most officers have tenure over a year, the latter two options are a rarity. Certainly, the benefit of having an old, experienced officer staff far outweighs the negative aspects of potential perceived stagnation for senior NCOS—but negativity itself should be avoided. Thus, we have several elements to explore. [18:37] Aryte Vesperia: Foremost: stagnation at the upper NCO ranks can occur at times, especially in the event that an [E-7] opts to explore the [O-1] route, rather than seeking [E-8]. The current metric of rating for promotion, the OCA packet and interviews, has helped significantly, but over time the pool of “OCA qualified” individuals has built up. As of current, we are sitting at about a dozen qualified applicants looking to move out of NCO and into officer staff roles. This creates a bit of a waiting game, in which an [E-7] either waits for a spot to open, or pursues increasing involvement through separate divisions (IEA, Curia, etc). Greater involvement tends to give the candidate a more competitive edge when a spot arises, as such; those who make use of their “wait time” fair dramatically better in the overall system. [18:40] Aryte Vesperia: The dangerous part of the wait is the exhaustion element that may follow: either the candidate could decide it’s taking too long and give up hope, or after obtaining the position, realize they’ve exhausted themselves and no longer have the drive to maintain the position. Although this occurrence is relatively rare, it is notable enough to speak of for the sake of awareness. As such, it is suggested to candidates that they dig in for the long haul, but be careful about overburdening themselves—demonstrate prowess, but avoid over extension. Members who can weather the wait are nearly guaranteed a position in the long run, provided they do not allow the wait to become a hindrance to their goals. [18:41] Aryte Vesperia: Structurally, the group could potentially be served with a re-invent of a warrant-officer, or “officer trainee” position—a quasi NCO with some officer like powers, without full investment into the officer staff. Something that could, in essence, house OCA qualified individuals as they wait, while continuously grooming them for the eventual appointment. The idea looks and sounds good on paper, but in practice it will be necessary to determine what the difference between an NCO/Officer and a warrant is, otherwise it’d simply be a glorified NCO rank in which the individual will continue their wait. [18:42] Aryte Vesperia: Time will tell whether or not a warrant role will be once again devised. However, any NCO or officer aspirant should take heed: be certain you are ready to dig in, stay positive, and keep at it. You will accomplish your goal if you put your mind to it and are willing to demonstrate commitment of time to reach it. :] [18:44] Aryte Vesperia: Meet you all there! Dismissed.

  9. [18:01] Aryte Vesperia shouts: Meeting start. As a reminder: all questions, comments (etc) are to be held until given the opportunity to speak. When that opportunity is provided, be sure to raise your hands. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the meeting. [18:01] Aryte Vesperia: Statistics Members: 317 Cadets: 7 Applications New: 10 Accepted: 2 Denied: 3 Review: 5 Combat Defensive: 105 Offensive: 16 Allied Assist: 0 [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomatic notes / weekly summary: modest slow down on raid numbers; tipped a tad under our three a day average. Notably, what we lacked in numbers was largely made up in quality—multiple, strong interactions over this week, including a first touch at 2142’s new build. Diplomatically, stability remains on all fronts. Positive increases to be noted in connections: exploring more amicable relations with Grand Federation and the 39th Blackwatch. All in all, not a bad week, considering the chaos between a large number of folks returning from AC, holiday on Sunday, and the catch up period after AC. Next week will no doubt be an improvement as we refocus on ensuring our raid quota is fulfilled with quality match up. [18:03] Aryte Vesperia: As a side note: all functions are back to normal at this time. ART tomorrow at 5:00, so on and so forth. Units reports this evening? [18:03] Ethan Schuman raises his hand for Astra. [18:03] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Schuman. [18:04] Ethan Schuman shouts: Let's see... what do we have this week? Firstly, Palaestra has slowed down while Sebris is off searching for Atlantis. In spite of this, Palaestra training rates are still well above acceptable. Xoza's working on some more toys for training purposes, and I believe Sebris has a couple new supplemental course materials that he intends to refine and institute. Both Reapers and Aquila continue to function smoothly, keeping things in the Tactical Squadron relatively quiet. Individual members have been showing initiative to increase activity, and we've had a couple events run by regular flight members. Despite the frequency of events, the regularity of our activity is uncertain at best. In order to address this, all Astra unit leads will be filling out an available time schedule, and we'll set up certain events that occur consistently. These events will be hosted during time slots where a couple people are available so that the presence of a host and execution of the event is all but guaranteed, so that you can co [18:04] Ethan Schuman shouts: unt on something happening if you show up. Letalis training and certification continues to progress with Scarlet developing courses and placing a high priority on training. I'm not sure on the official deployment deadline, but I'm pleased with what I've seen so far, so I know it will be worth the wait. [18:04] Ethan Schuman shouts: Last thing I want to mention is that at some point this week, we'll probably host a fun event for Astra so that people can get together, socialize, and grow closer to one another. I don't know what day we'll do this, if we do, but I'll try to have it at a time when a lot of people are available. The more, the merrier. Besides, Hyperball is much more fun with bigger teams. [18:04] Ethan Schuman: That concludes the Astra report for this week. [18:04] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent. Thank you. [18:04] Hollowmengitus Yifu raises hand like a boss [18:04] Aryte Vesperia: Mr. Yifu? [18:05] Hollowmengitus Yifu: From Pr0wer for Invictus: Overall this week was fairly active in raids and a couple minor trainings in the kill house. Next week coming expect to see a lot more group related raids so keep your eyes peeled in the notices and group chat to have your name engraved into the wall of fallen heroes. Also last but certainly not least we would like to introduce three new people into the extended medical coverage…I mean into the squad that makes sure our drop pods are completely up to date with safety regulations as Blaze Wiles, PiDelia Magic and Tonet Millar! [18:05] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: Aryte hacked my report and made a part of it stupid. I don't know yet. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia shouts: I was lying, actually. [18:06] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: I am betrayed. [18:06] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Huttser for Evalidus: Hola ! Activity for the Evalidus has been a little bit lower then usual on this week due some RL issues across the squad but no matter, we will strike twice as hard next week to make it up. We are still trying to make up logos and neat stuff for the squad so if you have any suggestions or ideas for the logos, gear, hats or you just want to bake a pie, please send all the IMs to Huttser Ishelwood or Awanken Wasp. Otherwise, don't let the heat mess up your heads, enjoy a nice ice cold brewskie ! [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: <3 [18:06] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Afevis for Insidiae: Insidiae would like to congragulate Bracket Crowley on his new position as the Director of Schola. Other then that, we still have some spots open so get those applications in! :] [18:07] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Kyra for Praescius: From what the forum is reporting, everyone in Praescius has had a relatively active week! Additionally, we have gained a member from Victrix. Please give a warm welcome to Yoki Mistwalker, who is also known as Squeeks! From everyone in Praescius, stay safe, and have a happy Fourth of July! [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: (Yay Yoki.) [18:08] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Stirn for Saevitas: This week has seen several transfers in and out of Seavitas. To begin I'd like to welcome Arokh into A-5 as our newest transfer, welcome to the Century! Moving on to the subject of gear. Idea's and concepts are already being collected for new possible future gear for Saevitas. On a final note, as always anyone is welcome to drop in on A-5 trainings, if you're interested just send myself or Singularity an IM. [18:08] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: From Thatguy for Cohors B: First thing's first, Happy Birthday Artie Fartie. Secondly, not a whole lot going on this week. I'd like to make a reminder for members in B-I: if you're going to be in B-I, please be sure to make it out on that one raid a week. There has been several sit downs with several Cohors B staff members, getting things checked and in order. Pr0wer and myself will be hosting a Cohors B meeting sometime in the near future to talk over a few things, mostly activity things and Century doings. [18:09] Hollowmengitus Yifu shouts: That's all for Terra. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you. :] May your Orca rest in peace (pieces). [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Any additional reports? [18:09] Kyra Vixen raises her paw. [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Ms. Vixen? [18:09] Kyra Vixen: This week in the Wild World of the Grid, Vaelkyr reopened for combat. Coalition Order has also moved regions, from Strike to Lockout. Their region is still a homestead, so nothing much has changed in that realm. It would also appear that DKR/RoG's region, The Fatherland, is offline. It is unknown at this time if this means they have died, but their folder will remain on the Tactica board for the near future. If you have any information on the whereabouts of DKR, also known as the Republic of Germany, or you have any information on other militaries, please contact Tactica at 1-800-COMPASS. Ask for Kyra Vixen, or Acheron Gloom. Do not attempt to approach RoG yourself, as they may be armed and dangerous. Join us next week, on Tactica's Most Wanted: Weekly Report edition. Stay safe, and have a happy Fourth of July. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Hahah. Thank you, Kyra. Someone try that number. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Final call for reports. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: Excellent. Moving on. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: This shouldn’t take toooo long, but, much to be said on account of last week’s meeting being during the AC period. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: First off: > Birthday Note Thank you to everyone for your well wishes today. I appreciate it very much. I will more than likely be off for a bit this evening, after the meeting, to go do some festive alcoholism and consumption of way too much food. Yay birthday. [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: > Development [18:13] Aryte Vesperia: Rejoice. The TI ACR is out. After a many days of pouring his blood, sweat, and tears into the development, Mr. Xiao wrapped up all the final touches a few days ago. Thank you to everyone who put investment into the weapon. It has been doing really well, so, awesomeness. It’s a pretty bitchin’ gun. I would say I’ll marry it, but I’ve already married like fifty other guns. Getting crowded in mi casa. [18:14] Ethan Schuman: YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! [18:14] Dresden Xaris: I'd be more worried about the bed. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Shhhh. Rofl. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: Aegis power armor. As far as I understand she is damn close to completion. Failing that, Mr. Xiao has more blood, sweat, and tears left to give—so we can negotiate its finish with some coercion. Allocation for work on the new Adjudicator has not yet begun. Will be sorting that out today, time permitting. [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: A new piece of hardware to announce: first of the Tyrant’s additional turrets. It is rezzed in front of me for your viewing pleasure. This will be the replacement variant for the Infensus, with a primary anti-infantry/anti-air capability. Compliments of SL’s typical combat problems and armor being collision based, it will still pack a pretty hard punch against enemy vehicles. No indication as to when scripting will begin, however as the primary elements of the weapon are already done, it shouldn’t take very long at all. Individuals with access to the Infensus will automatically unlock this variant. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: This month’s core model projects are attire variants for the new units, along with a large vehicle project. The vehicle will be a gunship model, VTOL, quasi-futuristic helicopter. Conceptualization for the latter has finished and I do believe Mr. Hand has begun the modeling. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: And finally, the replacement primary HUD: models have been completed and compilation of the various scripting projects is in progress. Things are starting to look pretty good. A bit behind on the intended release date, however progress is solid and indicative of completion within the near future. Kudos to everyone involved in that project, I know it has been a bit nerve wracking, if not outright challenging. However, we’ve learned a lot from it. So again, thank you. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Movin' on~ [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: > Reaffirmations [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: Couple things to touch on as a reminder. First off: base command. We should really be striving to ensure that overall base command is in the hands of at least a senior NCO, preferably an officer. That’s not to say that junior NCOs and enlistees aren’t doing an awesome job (or aren’t simply being stuck with it by lack of seniors stepping up). I totally understand that many times it’s not an E-3 going “MINE~” and snatching it, but more of an E-3 going “no one? Ok fine.” Kudos to said individuals—I am not knocking you in the least. Simply, it is faaar preferable that said E-3 is the SOG, with someone more vetted holding the overall role. [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: There are a lot of benefits to this: for example, training the lower ranked individual on how to handle difficult situations, giving the lower ranked member someone to fall back on when something is out of the ordinary. [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: We go through this from time to time—I understand why. Senior NCOs, officers, and myself are typically busy doing something else. But we all need to refocus and step up: take OIC, appoint an SOG. [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Secondly. Raid leaderships. If you are leading a raid, be sure you strive to make it a quality interaction. If you encounter speed bumps, call in someone who may be more voiced in the area, or generally a more senior raid leader. We’ve done really phenomenally well at spreading out “who” leads raids, and for the most part they’re all quality, excellent raids—so keep it up, but remember to use your resources when they arise. [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: I know one topic that goes along with that is “when’s another raid leadership course going to be held?” Good question. I have no idea. As soon as I can manage. I really want to make ART more routine before undertaking it. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: Aaaand lastly: night time remains a super popular time to come take pot shots at the Ordo. If a reinforcement call comes, please consider giving a few minutes of your time to pop by. I totally understand, 3 AM is not the best time to fight off a Mongolian horde, but, it happens. Haha. Even just ten minutes at 3 AM can make a huge difference. As a side note—MAJOR props to the night crew. We see a LOT of good stuff coming out of that time zone. Just. Pure badassery. [18:26] Aryte Vesperia: Any questions before we move on? [18:26] Tsume Xiao: Yes [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: Shoot. [18:27] Tsume Xiao: Did Faril jump out of a cake for you this year? [18:27] Aryte Vesperia: No, lol. [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Annny other questions? Lol. [18:28] Rykiana Ferina raises a hand [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: Rykiana? :] [18:28] Rykiana Ferina shouts: as far as the teamspeak three testing goes, where are we on that ? is testing complete ? will it be implimented ? [18:28] Aryte Vesperia: I will be posting a poll for that in the next couple o' days. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: It's an officer topic for tomorrow. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: Movin' on. [18:29] Aryte Vesperia: > Have I missed anything? With all the recent events, I have lost track of some stuff that I was working on. If I haven’t given you feedback or contact regarding something I was helping you with (or said I’d help you with), please nudge me to make sure I haven’t dropped the ball. There’s nothing I hate more, so don’t be afraid to speak up. I am pretty sure I have most, if not everything written down on my handy notebook, but, just encase! [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: Annnd lastly: [18:30] Aryte Vesperia: > July 4th [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: It's a pretty big holiday for most of us. I am wary about doing two days off within such a short time period. BUT, well. We'll play it by ear. [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: Also I lied. Lastly: [18:31] Aryte Vesperia: > Ordo Swag [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: If you haven't looked, check it out: http://forums.ordoimperialis.com/index.php?/topic/12494-rl-ordo-gear-for-sale/ [18:32] Aryte Vesperia: BurrWolf has put together some really badass stuff. [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: I have .. a small collection already. I wear the hat he gave me all the time. It's pretty win. He can made just about everythin'. [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: Even banners. [18:33] Aryte Vesperia: They're really good. Not crappy Cafe Press iron ons. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: I have friends who aren't Ordo or even play SL who want t-shirts, so, haha. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: CHECK IT OUT~ that is all. [18:34] Mark Karlfeldt raises hand [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: Karlfeldt? [18:34] Mark Karlfeldt: Does that mean Burrwolf is now Munitorum? [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: RL Munitorum. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Lol. [18:35] Mark Karlfeldt: Snap. [18:35] Arokh Takakura: [That would include me too, then] [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Now he just needs to take up blacksmithing. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Oh snap, yeah. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Arokh too. [18:35] Arokh Takakura: MY MOTORBIKE IS NEXT. [18:35] Aryte Vesperia: Hahahha. [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: I am gonna hop off and get dinner. I'll be back in a bit. Thank you all for coming. Good meetin'. Promotions will be up tomorrow. GO RAID. LOTS OF THEM. Especially if July 4th is a day off, you have to make up for it now! >;o [18:36] Aryte Vesperia: Dismissed.

  12. Well the thing with my college, is that me and the group of friends i've been with for the past 3 years with all do our work and have been the fastest to get assignments handed in, normally handing them in about 2-3 days early sometimes even a week. But the main cause for this ban of laptops is because: 1) Some idiot got caught hacking the network 2) They can't take control of our laptops, yet can easily just ask us to close it 3) They think we steal network cables even though there's a wireless connection in the college (Plus i got 350 meters of the stuff right next to me so i can make my own cable). I would demand a college laptop but this college has so far not impressed me with their current computer systems, plus their technicians are bloody idiots, one of them banned a friend of mine for having WinRAR on his USB stick thinking it was a hacking program. So yea...I'll just keep bringing my laptop in and they'll eventually allow them again, they can't forcefully remove me from the class for bringing a laptop to an ICT Course.
  13. D:< I joined on my own free will thankyou ;-;
  14. well i never formally introduced myself so here it goes, Hi i'm DaveyDarkStrider Oh (Call me Dave, it's easier and its my real name) some of you here may already know me, suprisingly when i first joined up as a schola I noticed a lot of people i already know where here. So far i've enjoyed my stay here, i'm having fun just standing guard talking on vent. I've been in other militaries before the Ordo, well military. I was a Lieutenant General of the 39th MHTF but i got bored and retired from there, after realising i had more time on my hands i decided to join another group, so it was either between Ordo or AN...it's obvious why i joined the Ordo :P Anyway thats pretty much a basic info, want to know anymore just send me an im ingame.
  15. Well it happened because some idiot (Not using a laptop) was caught hacking into the college network, stupidly he saved his "Haxor" files onto his college network drive. So immediately they thought "HE USED A LAPTOP BAN EM! D:<" Plus in class i did my work plus there's nothing stopping the tutor from looking at my screen, especially with the way the rooms here are setup.
  16. Apparently my college has decided to ban laptops because they, and I quote: ...Apparently this is a decent enough reason to outright ban laptops in an ICT course, well thats
