Ok, me and Akurei have tossed around the idea of playing ArmA in co-op matches. We're both into highly tactical games. It's also been discussed about possibly finding anybody else that's interested. Well I've decided to make a post about it now. Me and Aku, possibly Joseph, are going to be playing ArmA. For those that have not played ArmA or Operation Flashpoint, it's a first person tactical shooter, but more. Consider it a full-on wargame simulator. There is no bunnyhopping, no crosshairs, no omnipresent radar. There's oftentimes not even a death report (other than your own team dying). It's full, visceral warfare, with the challenges that come along with being simulated to the highest degree of realism. So I'm calling out anybody who loves getting into firefights with tactics, skill, and forethought. Once again, this will be along the lines of a Cooperative match. Us against bots. Oh and if FPS games frustrate you, or if your idea of a stealth mission is to nuke them before they realize it's coming, probably not the best game to play as ArmA is highly frustrating.

I already know who this is you're talking about. I find it funny that he still denies the claim his Einstein missiles could kill people not in vehicles, when he clearly used them on me and about 6 other people in Titan one day.

I was getting jaded with SL at the time that I joined. I had been around for a while and was getting pretty bored and bitter at how SL was starting to turn out. All the hangouts I went to were drying up, leaving me with nothing but places like Furnation to go to. I bumped into Cade Stirling, who at the time was a Praetorian, and saw them wearing neat armor and guns. I got interested, as I've always liked armor and guns. Cade told me about the Ordo, and I was confused for a while because I thought it was some sort of RPing group. Eventually I realized it was a military, and again was piqued. However, at the time, I had impressions of what militaries were like through Alliance Navy (two years ago they tried to "take over" Abbotts Aerodrome where I worked, so I had to ban a few of them). I was hesitant to join, but I took the application and thought it over. In the end, I realized "Eh, what could it hurt?" and decided to sign up, promising myself though that I would not join unless I was ready to dedicate a lot of my time towards Ordo.

Can someone explain this in English?

Really would help to have something like this for Astra. I already have somewhat a rough idea for the various roles in Astra, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on it first, Aryte.

As Niva said, Astra's going alright. Personally, I'd like to see Niiya's work on the suit, but overall, satisfied. Just wish I could figure out why Titan now lags me to death.

I'm thinking of possibly doing a military ettiquette class. For those that want a better idea of how soldiers act in a military. Not as a way of saying "omg this is how we do it in Ordo" but to give a better understanding to how military soldiers communicate and interact with each other.

While I've been one to ridicule Nanao myself, sometimes I wonder at continually picking at other people, when we ourselves complain when other groups do the same to ours. This is one instance where I think the SL Herald did go overboard. I agree with some of the posters that articles should be non-biased and actually tell news. Caine Constantine was a good guy in my opinion, as he remained objective about the whole situation. If we had more people like him around, then perhaps the truth of groups would be revealed more often than a bunch of people running around going 'lol victory' and posting photoshopped or out of context logs/pictures of their victory when they clearly got stomped.

Actually, I forgot to mention. If you DO have multiple mortars out, if you change the power, each will go to the same EVEN though they are in different relative positions. So if you have them spread out far enough, then the pattern will spread as well. However I encourage people to use only ONE. The mortar has a limited explosive radius for a reason.

Neat trick I found out. If you use the target function (which everyone will), alt-cam your target, type "get:cam" to get the coordinates, then before you fire, add 2 to the power. So if it comes up with 47.2389748902, type "p:49". Even across the length of a sim, I've been able to get a round to land within 2 meters of the target almost every time. Best way to use the mortar too is, dont aim at a moving target and fire. The round takes a while to get there. Presight your target points. Make them walk INTO the mortar. Of course, if they're stationary, blow them away. Oh and dont bother using multiple mortars. Unless you can set each and every one up with a different coordinate (which is very hard as they all listen to the same channel), you're just going to send multiple mortars at the same point with little extra effect.

Easiest way I found out to get a notecard of STABLE was to shoot an enemy faction with the Praeda.
