while I cant speak for its longevity yet, the purchase price is fair for the amount of fun you will have going through the story line since theres no subscription.

Its currently in Alpha. Youd have to be invited to that until the next Beta stage. Though I think B3 will be longer than a weekend because itll be their first PS3 + PC testing phase.

thats nothing, there used to be a swarm cannon that shot a single missile that exploded, then broke into 4 smaller missiles and spammed the area. It 100% broke PvP in beta2. Since then, I think its been removed. :P If you guys play I may install it later this week.

Got invited to alpha, havent even installed. Will keep it on backburner till others get invites or beta 3 (hopefully open beta) start and I can see how the game plays with friends instead of running around solo :P from the like 2 days we got to sample it from beta 2 this game has a ton of promise, but also a lot of potential for super repetitiveness. PvP was super blah in beta 2, though forums suggest a lot of balancing was done. *crosses fingers*

they describe it as helghast fighting for the right to live, so I would guess battle-star-galactica style survival invasion.

so after trial, I have to say this game has a ton of potential. I see a lot of ways it could go bad, such as PvP beeing swarmer rocket spam as-is (Rockets that burst into other rockets) but overall, its fun. Its got a ton in the way of exploration, the combat is semi-MMOFPS style. I hope they figure out more base-EGO powers than the starting 4, but overall It seems like something worth checking out

instead of drifting in from the top right, is there a way for it to grow in from center, or a vertical then horizontal "stroke" that adds them in? the cross floating in sorta feels awkward, but I love the rotation on the border, and the sounds are very epic. Like cygna said it has a very professional feel to it.

I would imagine right now they are just focusing on mechanics. A lot of the repetition will be removed as the world changes with the show.

those vids should be in the spoiler boxes above, but yeah. I think the concept of the show / whole project is really cool. The only thing that bugs me is the characters in-game look way more badass costume wise than the IRL versions who look a lot less detailed in terms of accessories.That and the 'daughter' looks terrible.
