Deadmon
Its obvious, we all watch a lot of movies or TV shows, Likely even now while browsing the forums. I see you So, share with your brethren. LET THERE BE SHARING.Ill start with my fav movie, non-sci fi http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0328107/It looks cliche from the cover, but the cinematography is awesome, and its just overall a super badass movie.TV Series (military non-fiction) Ill take the easy one.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0995832/Based on a book, which is the real-life accounts of the squad/platoon followed by a reporter, and is attested to its authenticity by members of the platoon (3 I think) playing parts (one as himself, Rudy, and 2 playing higher ranking members parts?) Its pretty Ffffing good. Seriously.
Lanny Ansar
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111161/This movie is still amazing, even though it was made back in 1994. 'Nuff said./>http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0465494/Yeah, I put the Hitman movie here. Everybody gives it so much crap, but it actually does keep the feel of the Hitman game series throughout the movie. Ron Bleac
Also, who could forget this.[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3C2tE7vjdHkThe Hunt for Red October is about.. well, hunting the Red October, a Soviet Typhoon class submarine. When it was first deployed by the Soviet navy it outclassed, outgunned and out-spooked every US submarine between the Arctic and Antarctic. Each ballistic missile it carried was armed with 6-10 separate warheads, each capable of selecting and destroying its own target. With 20 medium range ballistic missiles, if parked on the Eastern shores of the US the Typhoon could bombard every major city between New York and Washington State. Alone and without support, completely undetected. While US subs sported more BMs, they never came close to the type of yield that the Typhoon could carry. Each warhead that the Typhoon carried had a maximum listed yield of 200 kilotons, giving it a "world-killer" broadside. Luckily enough, the Cold War came to an end before the Typhoon class could be fully rolled out. While a few were combat active and performing on patrols, there's no indication that they ever came close to US territorial waters. Or did they? Now put that all together + a crazy Soviet subcommander with launch keys and you have Red October.

Constantine Giugiaro
C'etait Un Rendezvous[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NJzrv4MaMoYou'd be hard-pressed to find a film as steeped in myth as C'était un Rendezvous. Absolutely compulsive - this astonishing, exhilarating and now legendary drive through a beautiful 70s Paris with its surprise ending has been enjoyed for many years as an almost Masonic secret among enthusiasts. Whisper the words "Have you seen Rendezvous?" and you'll receive either a knowing, "No, but I've heard it's unbelievable" or a smug, "It is un-be-lieve-able".Filmed in 1976, the revered short film by seminal French director Claude Lelouch is regarded as the ultimate in chase scenes - the connoisseurs' trump card in response to "Bullitt" or "The French Connection".Lack of availability has only fuelled the myths surrounding the film:• Was Claude Lelouch really arrested when it was first shown?• Who drove the car?• Was it Lelouch or a hired Formula One driver?• What was the car?• Was it really a Ferrari 275 GTB?• How (the hell!) did he do it?What we do know is that there are no special effects, speeding up the film or blocking off the streets. Lelouch simply mounted the camera on the front of the car and takes us on an astonishing, death-defying drive through the streets of a beautifully filmed 70s Paris with a glorious soundtrack provided by the engines' wail, tyres squeal and roar of the exhaust.Richard Symons, a documentary filmmaker with more than a passing interest in fast cars, managed to acquire a very poor 2nd generation VHS copy. He wasn't disappointed..."I'd never seen anything like it, 9 minutes of adrenalin that simply leaves you with your jaw on the floor. Lelouch was supposedly arrested the first time he'd shown the film and then it simply dived underground. To cut a long story short, I tracked down Claude Lelouch, we dusted down the original 35mm negative, restored and re-mastered it for release - we've brought back all the details and colours and it looks stunning." Over the years, C'était un Rendezvous has come to represent something more than an adrenalin rush. It uniquely captures a time and a spirit that seems a long way away from today. Politically incorrect, anti-establishment and overflowing with a primitive passion - it is everything the bureaucrats hate. Which perhaps explains the cheers and whoops of delight at recent screenings. Lelouchs' brilliant ending only adds to this - making a beautiful sense out of the preceding nine minutes.
