Erusian SFSR

Recommended Posts

As it stands, the Erusian SFSR is no longer the same, very small group it once was. Currently, it is situated in the sim Volsk, and maintains 18 or so active members. They have a whole string of new weapons they're developing through KMC (which I am not entirely objectionable to) and a fairly well ordered group comprised of SL military veterans from other groups.

I am aware that they are currently developing a MBT, based on the Russian T-90 and posses a HIND-D that is applicable for combat.

They stated that they will not allow any aircraft that fly unrealistically, which they said includes the Praeda and my guess is the Nemesis is also completely out of the question. They are maybe the most STABLE compliant military I've heard of, though they said our Mechs might be allowable under their provisions.

The other thing to consider is that they are not friendly with IS, but also not entirely opposed, either. They seem mostly interested in a good, fair fight against worthy opponents.

From my visit to Echelon country, I've also found they've been enjoying combat with them at Volsk. I guess they're attempting to make some sort of WW2 or otherwise realistic simulation in their territory (thus the banishment of crazy aircraft)?

Grey has a twofold agenda (along with his partner in socialism, Nadav) :

1- The creation of an equitable and fun combat environment based on realism. This means even futuristic aircraft could be allowed, as long as they follow the basic rule of physics without "fluff". For example, let's be honest here, the Praeda and the Nemesis don't realistically follow those rules, as there's no way jet plane can hover like that, and come to a dead stop after going the ungodly speeds that they do, let alone turn on an unseen axis midair like it does.

If you were to present a hovering craft that moved slower, had a wider turn radius, couldn't come a dead stop from full speed, and had reasonable weapons on it, Grey would almost certainly allow it in the sim. He is absolutely opposed to non-physical movement types, however.

2- To provide an alternative to the entrenched mentalities of overwhelming hostility, or absolute alliances. Grey and Nadav want to see a more dynamic combat environment in SL, where there aren't many (or possibly any) hard and fast alliances or enemies. This doesn't mean a lack of treaties and basic agreements, but he views the fairly static alliances like the IS to be stagnant and antiquated.

Grey's military is centered on Modern and Cold War Russia and other "Eastern bloc" nations. He's written an extensive Wiki for his military on the Second Life Wikia (Like the one we have for the Ordo there, but this one is MUCH longer).

He can be a combative little bugger, but all in all a decent fellow.

Just an update, the ESFSR collapsed after a machiavellian power struggle took place, and both leaders became disillusioned with their setup. There is no indication of any remnants remaining that will put up a fight as some sort of dissident faction. They may, however, enlist in other militaries.
