Aryte
At roughly 2:00 AM, an incident occurred on region that provided the inclination that an individual had somehow breached the security of the officer forums. Dagger Exonar presented information listed within, albeit in limited form. The details of what all he acquired have not been assessed, but from what we understand he'd picked up: a voting post about the re-introduction of Maks Vendetta, a topic on Guerrilla Rebel stability, possible cooperation between Light Ops/Frumentarii, and a post made by Keystone Gray explaining his sentiments. In reality, not really anything of consequence or of a "classified" nature. The initial idea was Dagger Exonar had (and he'd been quoted claiming such) that the database had been compromised. In order to ensure security, Godaddy (our hosts) were contacted. The probability that SQL was cracked by someone with zero to limited computer skills is somewhere . . negligible. Regardless, we encrypted the database and provided an extra level of security. Further theories indicated it possible Dagger Exonar had ascertained an officer's password. For safety's sake, we've forced the reset of all administratio-accessible account passwords. Finally, it was theorized an individual within the administratio may have gossiped or inadvertently leaked the information. Whatever the case may be, the antiquated posts on the Administratio side were all cleared to prevent the possibility of any other leaks. All in all, not a very big deal! Just figured you'd all care to know (especially those of you on this morning who were about for the initial scare). Thanks for all the information and heads up as we worked through it! Scientific Waffle
I'm sure he thinks the fact that he could do this is impressive. In reality, all it really means is that he's eithera) a script kiddieor b) spends way too much time gossiping with people to get the slightest scrap of info about an obsession of his. Kellervo
I'll go with b. Dagger knows his way around LSL (a bit), but he's no hacker.
maxxie Waffle
I was on base like early this morning and Hunter said something about declining any notecard given to us by Dagger. Then apparently he said someone on base was IM'in Dagger about the order given out :/ I don't know, I was half asleep at the time of this
Cygna
There is always the possibility that Dagger "hacked" our forum. I personally don't believe he is capable of it, for hacking an Invision power Board is a feat in itself, but I won't rule it out.The information he obtained was old and in pieces. Like someone had either sent him bits and pieces or had went to each individual thread and clicked "save as". There are other forums that are off-limits to general personnel that were not seen by Dagger at all, which leads me to believe even more that it was simply an administratio leak.In any case, security will be of utmost importance to me at the time being. If the individual who leaked the information to Dagger is reading this right now: follow the golden rule. It'll help through life.
Aryte
Recent events by Dagger Exonar to propagate an image or possibly enact fact-finding (illegal and otherwise) on the Ordo Imperialis should be met with a unanimous response of . . no response. Do not feed or provide him anything to go off of. We've nothing to hide, so, no reason to be alarmed. As per norm, document circumstance and anything involved when a situation does arise. Keep it calm and civil! Best course is to simply be prepared to report on the matter.
Agares Tretiak
The other possibility is an alt. Though I find it unlikely, it is possible.
Sekonda Huet
The information he had is also somewhat similiar to what anyone else could obatin about stability in organisations. He could just be a complete wanker. 8D
