Alright, things may get a bit hectic around me soon. My dad basiclly told me today that I either begin paying 850$ a month(AKA, cover his fucking debt) to stay in the house, or I find a new place to live. Thankfully, I have already been planning to move out my self for a few months. I may randomly go out for a few days, in which you will know obviously I am gone due to the lack of being online(or notification via ipod touch on the forums.) I don't know how this is going to pan out. So, lets hope this doesn't go over too badly.

Here is more information on what is going on with my family. I have pretty much given up playing hockey this year, upgrading my computer further, going to FC(Not AC, thankfully) and paid for the only thing they asked for, my car insurance.

Today I was simply asked to mow the lawn. Wow? I said I will do it after I get done with something, and that lasted too long so I had to get ready for work. Got told to mow it again, told my father I have to goto work and I don't want to smell like grass. Mom said just help pick up the crap out of the backyard, and I will be good.

My dad busted into my room and began to bitch me out, telling me I never do anything around the house, which is bullshit because I am constantly taking out the trash, washing dishes, going to work to pay my insurance. I told him this and he responded that I shoudl begin paying 850$ a month compared to my 100$ for insurance. I told him straight up that I am not going to be paying for the debt he put himself into, because I knew there was no way it would cost me 850$ to just live in a house, whereas I could get a apartment for 400 some. Told me I should start finding a new place to live, because I refused to pay what he had asked for. This is where my already rolling plan came in.

I have, for a few weeks, been planning to pack up all of my stuff and then make the trip to AnthroCon, and spend my time there. After the con was over, I would go directly to Virginia, and live with FireFox. This may now be accelerated to me either leaving Colorado next month, or in July.

Pretty great way to leave my family, I just do not wish to be tied in with their debt from not giving things up(Like going to Las Vegas last month)

If they're having money issues and are trying to drag you into them against your will, beat it like an egg. Don't put yourself in any position to be throttled by them for your well-earned money. They are your parents, yes, but they don't gain the right to put you out on the street because they suck at keeping good credit.

This should be a lesson to everyone to manage your fucking finances. Create a budget. There's software out there that can help you set one up pretty easily. My parents are having money problems as well, and it sucks having your own parents as if they can borrow money. So watch how you spend, and invest! I definitely don't plan on being in my parents situation in 20 years.

Definately, Lestat. Organizing your finances on top of finding a good job is a requirement for success in America today, especially for young people. I strongly urge everyone to get themselves set up and ready for any situation, especially since America's economy isn't as healthy as it was yesterday. Here are some useful links:
