Cygna Posted April 26, 2010 Author Share Posted April 26, 2010 Pretty sure it's a bunch of untrained civilians having a good time. Also, the shell was designed for big game hunting in Africa. I've never been big game hunting, so I have no idea how effective it is. At this shooting range it is more or less a novelty.A novelty kind of like GunPorn scripting! Take it out on a Sunday, shoot it a bit and click round on that monstrous HUD, then put it away for the week because it's not very combat effective. Lanny Ansar Posted May 27, 2010 Share Posted May 27, 2010 Oh, i remember the MG3....basically the MG42 reqorked and calibered for .308 instead of 8mm.I (Well not me personally, but my family) owned both models. The MG42 and the MG3. We could never actively fire them like we wanted to because they were loud, even for the prairie mountains of Colorado, and they EASILY attract unwanted Police attention.So Dad would usually fire the MG3 in the air during celebrations and holidays and quick few-round bursts as to not wake our neighbors 3 miles away at 10:00 at night on a Wednesday. >_> Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
