  1. I've got high level light armor skills, and slightly upgraded (exquisite) leather armor, and it protects better than a suit of ebony armor I came across. Skills/Perks really, really boost the power of a given armor or weapon.
  2. Don't feel bad about posting your questions here: Questions are good things, and if this is in the wrong place, the forum admins will scoot it to the proper one. Regarding your questions... It depends. If their jetpacks go higher than the designated allowed height, that's a major concern. If they propel the user -forward- rapidly, more than it moves them upwards, that is a major concern. Underslung FBs are...allowed? I think, though we don't have a ruling officially one way or another on that one (so the jury is likely still out regarding their use). If you notice discrepancies in any enemy weapon, it's better to make a note of it here, and also to your CO or the OIC to ensure it is looked into properly to see if there's a rules violation or possible abuse of our general leniency. The underslung flashbangs acted that way, because unless an explosive utilizes some form of ray casting, if anyone is inside its radius of effect, it will create said effect regardless of if you're in cover or not. For example, if I fire an artillery shell at you with a 20 meter diameter explosive (hypothetically of course; don't shoot artillery or anything else at comrades) and you're in a bunker with 5 meters of prim between you and the point of impact of the shell, that artillery shell is going to win because you're still within the preset diameter for its explosive radius. Which kinda sucks, when you're taken out by a grenade when you would theoretically have 4 feet of concrete or stone between you and said explosion, but... it's SL combat. I'm sure a scripter will be able to better explain the specifics of why SL explosions are generally like this.
  3. Did they fix the flamethrowers? Also, the dynamics of the game scream "TEAMWORK"
  4. Or more along the lines that I just read the previous two posts, and made that face.
  5. "Hi there!" "Ffff off." "Oh! you're my best buddy now ~<3" :|
  6. You were very likely speaking utter gibberish to him. Japanese is context heavy, tonal, and has very few inflections if I remember correctly. I believe proper structure for a better translation to disarm would have to be structured in English this way: gun remove please (verbs must be structured to go at the end of the phrase) 銃削除はしてください This is overly simplified, but understandable, you'll probably find. There's no way to easily indicate "we" or a plural "you" in Japanese, once again due to context. It's difficult to be direct in reference to almost anything referring to a single individual without building plaudits and honorifics around the name first, or other highly formal, polite terms. In this case, and most hard translations, if you keep it simple and to the point with the occasional polite modifier (please, thank you, no thank you, yes please) you'll find most people respond better, even if it's obvious you're not a native speaker. http://wikitravel.org/en/Japanese_phrasebook#b might also help
  7. Telugu is a inflection heavy dravidic language based on sanskrit. Which, if you know linguistics, probably would explain the extremely long form you saw. In particular, I bet this is the formalized form of Telugu, which has diglossia (A formal, official form and set of grammatical rules used mostly for religion and government and a 'vulgate' used in informal settings, like on the street, in the house, or in different regions). It's from India. THE MORE YOU KNOW. Also, it is not at all nice, Ron. It's like me trying to convince you that "pendejo" in Spanish is a polite term, rather than one that will get you beaten to death. It has a wide range of meanings (pendejo), but all are highly insulting.
  8. Saw this before. I didn't even bat an eye: Kinda obvious what is going down.
  9. Tretiak, Agares 069-3556-10334-x1a44 Lord Praefectus, Praetorian Guard Zensunni On reverse side "If this is found a body or among bodies, please reference casualty and MIA lists before reporting it. Also, take note of how many dead are in the area, for the songs to tell of."
  10. Since the thread is derailed, I will now post cute kittens. Why? Because Ffff you, that's why. I hope my point is clear.
  11. Ron, Tala, and I play, though I only play occasionally.
  12. I've been rewriting the first three chapters, to be A) Better written B) More in keeping with my modified plot C) A little more Canon.
  13. I think it's their addition to annoying slang terms, like "Let's roll" or "roll out" when you're not even in a vehicle.
  14. I swear to god I wanted to punch the guy (Marine or not) for repeatedly saying "Crack on". I kept thinking of a drug addict. "MMM. CRACK ON, BITCHES. CRACKHEAD AWAY"
  15. Looks like I'm going to have to wait for some of the DLC and such, then, because I have a feeling users on the PC are going to ragehard about some of this stuff.
  16. It increases hand eye coordination, but you still need to practice various types in order to do them well. Hitting a baseball is actually some what difficult on the spectrum of things you can do with eye hand coordination, as it requires some other factors as well.
  17. All for it. Make sure you remind me, as my mind is likely to wander.
  18. It's interesting, most people assumed he had a high pitched, annoying voice, but a lot of reports about him described a low, somewhat hypnotic tone: Very flowing method of speech. The voice he used in his infamous speeches was one he developed to portray and project his voice, at times without the aid of microphones. You can hear similar methods in a lot of public speakers from the age, though generally with less emotional content. Also, he was a lot more rational, at least on the surface, before he started taking large dosages of amphetamines. At anyrate, it's a bit chilling to think about the proximity people at times came to Hitler. Meeting him face to face, I wonder what I would have seen, knowing what we do 70 some years later.
  19. There's no PvP on freedom. :( To PvP we need premium accounts.
