[18:02] Aryte Vesperia: I would like to take the time to recap events, congratulate some folks, and address recent events. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, thanks to the individuals who remained behind and held down the fortress. I have nothing but admiration for the efforts of all of you. [18:04] Aryte Vesperia: You have infused a faith in me beyond my expectations. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: During my absence, Titan was attacked over twenty times, by various levels of sophistication, at various times. The assaults ranged from outright griefing, to large scale raids by talented foes. [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: All incidents were dealt with in a timely manner and properly recorded for my review. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: Foremost, the Iron Symphony's charter is being reinforced to explain the identity and original intent of the IS: we are not a military alliance, but a system of thought. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: As such, all IS groups are not required to maintain an alliance-- they never were. To exercise this, the MC and the Ordo will be going to war in the coming days. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: This is likely no surprise for many of you, as relations with the MC have been dire. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: The Merczateers and the Ordo have affirmed, beyond the Symphony, the strength of our allegiance to one another. In addition, the prospects are high that the Alliance Navy will be joining the IS envelope. [18:12] Aryte Vesperia: Earlier today, Jason Backer assumed command of the Alliance. He was formerly an AN admiral, prior to joining the Ordo. With my blessing and with full knowledge of his intent to provide an opportunity for the Ordo and AN to prosper together, I've bitten the bullet and married off one of my favorite British people back to his group of origin. Haha. [18:14] Aryte Vesperia: As mentioned in the post I made: Although I must say it is with great regret that I see him leave, I am thrilled and infused with a sense of relief to see the AN now under his watch. Jason is one of the finest, most diligent individuals I have ever met. Beyond that, he has presented a sense of loyalty and honor to the Ordo Imperialis, without pause. It is now a new era, one that has erased years of history and a tendency for xenophobia between the AN and Ordo. [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: The Ordo will be providing military, intelligence, and if necessary, developmental support to the Alliance. [18:15] Aryte Vesperia: It is our hope to ensure their success, in the face of bold threats from groups like Vanguard. [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: Earlier today, Vanguard leader Christoph made the bold claim to the AN "we should ally, so I don't have to send 80 people to your sim all day to destroy you." [18:16] Aryte Vesperia: I have to commend him for his . . uh, clever diplomacy. [18:17] Aryte Vesperia: Yesterday, Takkun Gray, Merczateers . . went rogue and returned the Merczateers regions. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: He promptly joined Vanguard and has pledged to do anything he can to destroy the Merczateers. If you've forgotten: Takkun's been making that claim to the Ordo for over a year now. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: We can thank Takkun for sealing Vanguard's death. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Sparta and 2142 reportedly have blacklisted and banned Vanguard. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: CS has approached and requested negotations. [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: AN has already given VG the "fuck you." [18:18] Aryte Vesperia: Merczateers, MC, and Ordo concur. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: VG just sealed itself into a corner. [18:19] Aryte Vesperia: In the most peculiar of ways, VG has served as the catalyst that has launched the very idea of what the IS has tried so hard to be. [18:20] Aryte Vesperia: Through their flagrant disrespect, and obvious disregard for reality . . . they’ve propagated the success of the IS ideal. A more closed circuit, controlled, respectful combat routine. [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: Thank you Christoph-- who, by the way, told a member of the Ordo that "VG attacked Ordo and took over the sim since all the Ordo were at AC." [18:21] Aryte Vesperia: I guess he didn't know we can check Mercury to see when VG was here. :| [18:22] Aryte Vesperia: It's with a certain, almost cynical glee that I am able to high five Christoph and say "thank you for proving to the community what none of us want to be." [18:23] Aryte Vesperia: Now that the majority of the Ordo has returned, and I am refreshed after a week of running around complaing how tired I am, I intend to launch full out into the projects I've promised. Curia, Frumentarii, Guard are first up for revision. Prior to which, we will finalize the unlocks (or beat Inoue with a stick). [18:24] Aryte Vesperia: I will stress accountability, not only to myself, but to all command staff. [18:25] Aryte Vesperia: It is now our time to ensure the success of the Ordo, and provide for the future of the IS and the community. If it is necessary, command positions will be shuffled. [18:02] Aryte Vesperia: The unrest with EU occurred on account of two major reasons: foremost, the belief that the IS was oppressing their ‘traditions,’ and secondly, the belief that Roo Tenk no longer provided active leadership. [18:04] Aryte Vesperia: Chaos triumphs this as a “victory,” coining it as “Operation Echelon Heresy.” In reality, Chaos played a minor, if not entirely insignificant role. Their only participation was managing to sit in the sim and litter it with /4/chan photos. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Within the Symphony, remain three organizations. The Collective, the Ordo, and the Merczateers. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Our relationship with the Collective is dire, if not entirely eroded. The Collective has accused us without evidence, claiming we’ve “spied” upon them. [18:05] Aryte Vesperia: Raideur Ng, their leader, expressed that there is an “uncorrectable” disliking for the Ordo among the MC. [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: Over the course of a several hour meeting last night, Lurdan Huszar of the Merczateers and I listened to Raideur’s argument. We dissected it and pulled it apart. The claims of Ordo “spying” were preposterous. [18:06] Aryte Vesperia: They considered the fact Aelus Janus messaged an MC Officer and asked questions—questions in concern of MC’s security—as spying. An over Ordo officer. In full tag and uniform. Speaking in formal terms. Spying. [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: I proposed “then Raideur, what is the difference in you sending MC Officers here the last two weeks to ask questions?” He replied "there isn't one." [18:07] Aryte Vesperia: His second argument was “Ordo conduct.” Lurdan asked “what complaints do you have?” He provided a log of a new Ordo E-1 who called the MC “IS rejects.” [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: I asked, “did you report this to me?” Raideur said no. I assured him that it’d be dealt with and then asked “So what did you do about the MC Officer who lambasted the Ordo as a ‘gay yiffy club’ during an MC command meeting?” [18:08] Aryte Vesperia: He didn’t answer. He then proposed “well, Ordo keep coming to our sim using gear we don’t allow.” I asked. “Did you report it?” He replied. “No.” So I asked. “How is this different from MC visiting Titan, dancing in our spawn, heckling our defenders with signs as they fight off CS?” He replied. “It isn’t.” [18:09] Xayvien Rau: r [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: So he promptly informed us, “I’m not pushing for this, my men are.” [18:09] Aryte Vesperia: Lurdan and I spoke in private after. We affirmed the necessity up holding the ideals of the IS. Greater than that, we affirmed the alliance between the Merczateers and the Ordo. [18:10] Aryte Vesperia: It is my prediction we may see an era not unlike many summers ago—the Merczateers and the Ordo shoulder and shoulder, tackling the grid together. I say: glory to our brothers in the Merczateers, then. We welcome this day. [18:11] Aryte Vesperia: As I prepare to embark upon my vacation, I lament the destruction brought upon the EU, and I regret the disdain established by the MC. But I take heart in what remains and what’s yet to come. I take heart in the greatness of the group here, my Ordo. My beloved Ordo. [18:34] Aryte Vesperia: In response to this, I do want to give a general warning: accountability and project management are going to be more strictly examined. [18:44] Aryte Vesperia: In addition to my absence, a significant portion of both Terra and Astra’s command staff will be on the same vacation outing—not to mention various other members. The purpose of this discussion here will be to explain my expectations, detail the plans I have for you all, and go over a rough schedule of availability (on my part). For those of you who have been part of the Ordo for a few months probably remember the time I took off in January, and probably remember this same speech! But, bear with me. [18:46] Aryte Vesperia: Time away from the group is, as cheesy as it sounds, really hard for me. I am naturally a worrier, and there are few things that I worry as much about as the well being of my group. [18:47] Aryte Vesperia: It is important to me that all of you are taken care of and are provided adequate support, thus when I am out and about with limited connection, it puts me off balance. [18:48] Aryte Vesperia: As such, it means the world to me that all of you are extra attentive and on your best behavior while I am on vacation. [18:49] Aryte Vesperia: For the last . . . five vacations I have taken, there have been /zero/ incidents. To be able to go out of town and enjoy myself while the Ordo continues to function at optimal levels, simply blows me away. I ask of you that you please make this the sixth time I am able to go out of town without a hitch. [18:49] Aryte Vesperia: I promise you, if you make my vacation enjoyable, I will make your efforts enjoyable and rewarded when I return. [18:50] Aryte Vesperia: Remember, if there is any problem, document it meticulously. Whether that’s an internal or an external issue! Also, remember to confide in your officers. [18:51] Aryte Vesperia: Several of our most veterans will still be present and have pledged to be as available as possible while I am away. In addition, if there’s truly something that requires my attention, I will provide ways to reach me—I’ll also be dropping in daily to check up! [18:52] Aryte Vesperia: Tomorrow during the officer meeting, we will be arranging two primary tasks: raids and training opportunities. It is my hope to have the officer staff commit to hosting at least two major training routines for the entirety of the group. [18:53] Aryte Vesperia: In addition, it is my hope that at least two raids will be hosted during my time away. To clarify, Sosarin will have the highest authority during my absence. [18:53] Aryte Vesperia: Diplomacy and policy will be in his hands. Over the course of my experiences, there are few people I trust as much as Sosarin—if you have not had the pleasure to work with him, I can affirm he’s one of the most talented officers I have ever met. If you have anything that would usually require my attention, Sosarin will be able to take care of it for you. [18:54] Aryte Vesperia: On June 30th I will be departing in the early morning. Most of the day will be spent in transit, but I should return to having some availability for contact around 3:00 PM SLT. Most of the 30th will be pretty lazy and low key, so it is probable that I will be on and functioning relatively normal in the evening. A raid hosted by me is quite possible in the late evening. [18:54] Aryte Vesperia: July 1st will also be a relatively laid back day; I will likely be on and about several times to check up. Once again, it is possible that a raid may be hosted in the evening. I will be available throughout the day to answer e-mails and offline IMs. [18:55] Aryte Vesperia: July 2nd is my birthday! Haha. It will likely be a busy one for me, but I will attempt to drop by for a checkup. Again, I should be relatively able to answer e-mails and offline IMs. [18:56] Aryte Vesperia: July 3rd will likely be the busiest of days for me, but an evening (and morning) checkup likely. Offline IMs and e-mails fine. I will attempt to have an officer hand a training session this day. [18:56] Aryte Vesperia: July 4th will be an Ordo holiday. Sim will be secure and casual dress approved. So this’ll be a lazy day for you all! The weekly meeting will not be conducted. Instead, a week-wrap up post will be made on the forums to allow for weekly reports to be submitted. [18:12] Lestat Umarov: From Keller for Invictus: "Invictus has begun implementing a new training regimen, with the first exercise being held Friday, the first of many. The search for candidates to fill the current roster vacancies is nearly complete! Tsume Xiao has scripted and... 'sounded' the new Invictus SMG, a 50 round variant of the Spectre M4. The last step is texturing before it is ready for testing / approval from Munitorum for distribution. A training schedule has been developed and put into effect, effective this Friday. It will see sessions held three times a week, along with weekly raids into enemy territory. Jason Backer and Scientific Waffle have taken on roles as training instructors, so that in addition to scheduled trainings, random spontaneous ones may take place.
